I appreciate God almighty for being my Ebenezer, my glory & the lifter of my head, my strength, my peace, my provider & my supplier. My champion the host of heaven, the captain of my destiny. Words cannot describe Him, words cannot express my gratitude.

Special appreciation goes to everyone, for as many that are still waiting on God in one point or another, I pray the outstretched hand of God shows up on your case.

Sorry it’s coming late, I just got back from Accra.

All I can say is WOW!!! You have such an amazing network of family and friends. Your testimony struck a chord in my heart and I bless God it has ended in praise for you. If I may ask, what was d reason for the interview initially?

I did and what I have is 361.

Can I get provincial nomination with this?

I would suggest you retake ielts and aim for 8777 in lrws. You will definitely need to practice a lot. Also try to enroll for an additional certificate, like a post-grad diploma, BCS etc that you can complete in less than a year. Your crs points will greatly improve after that.

Please everyone, I have been asking this question and no one is responding, the thing is that my friend has HND and OND and she doesn't want to use WES for some reason so now she want to know if ICES evaluates HND and OND as two or more certificates just like WES is doing, please someone should answer. Thank you for your response

Why not use Wes? It is cheaper at only 227 cad for every thing and you get two or more certificates. Ices is 200 CAD for each certificate making it 400cad minus courier cost. The only ish with WES is d request for sch cert which has been easy now by fellow Nairalanders.

I keep seeing AVO famous 5 ADRs but I don't know what it means, can someone enlighten me? Also I am looking at submitting my profile and getting ITA/AOR by July/August, so when I do this and my file is moved to AVO for processing, does it mean it will not be touched until next year January - April? Because it seems as if AVO becomes active majorly in this period.

Alot has been said already about carrying oil, bribing customs, beautiful landscapes, I do think the real reason most leave the comfort of their own Country is to get a decent job in Canada.
And to me this is the prayer of many including myself so I am not gonna bore you with what airlines I took or what we ate on the plane, that has been overflogged already.

to be continued............

Guitarlife, what really does a BA role entail and how easy can someone working in banking operations cross over to being a business analyst considering that there has been no prior experience in IT? Also, kindly share a BA resume with me on tosinoyedele1@gmail.com.

Thank you.

GTBank is my only bank at the moment, but they've been acting up as of late. As a fellow Non-Resident, I am thinking of opening another account with either Stanbic or First Bank, especially for Tbill transactions. I ask you and/or other non-resident account holders, which of the banks should I go for, and what was the level of difficulty of opening the account with them from afar? I appreciate your feedback. #OneLove

Yes do both. Fax the affidavit or re-request the transcript. You can also send WES an email. If none works, prepare your mind to write an LOE post-ITA

Thank you Lady Marshall. Keeping my fingers crossed and hoping for the best.

Can your school send another one?

I truly don't know. Or can I fax an affidavit with my statement of result to WES to explain the error. I don't want to have pay extra again or av my evaluation delayed any further.
By the way, thank you for your swift response to my pm yesterday.

Hello house, I have not been much of a contributor here as I am just starting out on my express entry journey. My school sent my transcript to WES last Thursday and I also requested a personal copy. Only for me to get it today and saw my gender on it as male, whereas, I am a female. Hope this would not have any negative impact on my evaluation, or is there anything I can do about it? Somebody please help!

3-4 weeks for just NECO evaluation, that can be done in 6days? Anyway, the problem with some people on this thread is that, they dont read. We've covered this process here on this thread before.

Please can you point me to the right link where we covered issues on neco verification? I actually read all the pages on this part but I must have overlooked it. Thanks.

Well call Mr Omoyeni 08056447218 NECO office Illupeju Lagos

In all I think I spent 25k
You'll do remitta payment in any bank 1000k + bank charges.(ask him for the process o I made mistakes and had to pay twice)

20k is for waybill to Niger & Canada and other NECO charges (Confirmation of result) I think is what they call it.

You'll have to fill some forms at NECO office

You will need to buy NECO scratch card as well very important (WES requires it).

Print a copy of your NECO result as well (recommended)

The remaining 2k was for him to drink 'coke'.( your discretion though)

I think the process takes 3 - 4 weeks.(excluding WES delay)

Make sure you have the right WES address.

Just call him, he'll walk you through. Though I think I've covered all the basics.

Good luck

God bless you Chukwuemeka!

You may want to consider using your NECO if waec stress is much. That's what I used, there wasn't too much hassle per se

Please can you put me through the process? I want to use my neco also.

1 year stock taking !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I clocked 1 year in Canada today like play like play o and it has been an interesting journey.

I remember writing about how I got my first job with TD Bank 3 weeks after landing in Canada (I think it is in part 1 of this thread). I started as CSR with TD Bank in May 2018. Though, it was not the best paying job but it helped me to pay some of my bills and got me into the financial industry. While I was at it, I was actively looking for something bigger and better.

In July 2018, one of the recruitment agencies got me an interview for another role, aced it and I got a 6 month contract role with another bank. I left TD Bank but I was just getting to like the bank. Before i forget, we had a road trip to Niagara falls in one weekend like that. The kids really enjoyed it the Water Park. I started the new role in August 2018, it was supposed to run till February 2019. That's how I started paying almost $400/month on transportation to work o ( I live in Brampton and travel on the GO Train to Downtown Toronto everyday for work). My weekly overtime hours pay for that.

Met some Naija people in the course of my waka here and we had a small Christmas get together with my new Naija friends. It was a fun. Madam was elated at passing her first turkey baking challenge. Abeg, I am still looking for more Naija people in this neighborhood.

So, one faithful afternoon in the first week in January 2019 like that while I was having my lunch, na so my Manager came to call me that I should see him after my break, I was like "abi contract don end be that? or was I not delivering my deliverable". Anyway, I went to see the guy and he was like they were offering me a conversion of my status from contract to full term employee. I was even doing shakara that I wanted a senior role. Anyway, I sha took the offer.

I am enjoying the job and the stuff I am learning. It's looking upward and cant complain. I feel the need for a part time job, so I started a travel website : http://budgetfaresnow.com/ for flights, hotels and shopping. Abeg make una help a brother. I also have a block of (4nos) 3 bedroom flat for sale in Ikorodu, Lagos. I am hoping to register a business soon in Canada and see how well it goes.

Conclusion:
1. Everybody's story is different
2. It might be important to start small to sort out the bills
3. Last last, everybody will be alright !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice one. I pray for good testimonies also.ur customer service job with TD, u had a banking job in Nigeria previously? Was it In customer service? I am still trying to fit in my customer service bank job for an acceptable noc equivalent.

I don't know about your Bank in particular, but in some banks, Customer service officers also do sales, some are called Personal banking officers...so it depends ,don't just look at the title that fits yours "Financial customer service" alone, look through 1114 and 6235, you might see two or three other functions you perform as a CSR.

Thank you so much for this.

As you know, skill type C is not permitted u der express entry, i am not sure of which other program you can go for. If you share your job description here, maybe peeps can help u look at it critically and see if it might qualify for level B or A
I am in customer service, with a bank. Though my husband's job as an accountant will qualify as skill level A, his score is below 400. What do you advice? Can I qualify for the provincial nominee program?
