Sanwo-Olu's CV is more inspiring. Sanwo Olu reached the pinnacle of his private career in Nigeria at Lead Merchants Bank in Nigeria . He was responsible for and in-charge of the foreign money market of the UBA. A mentee of Tony Elumelu who trusted him with that position- facts. He then proceeded to FCMB as an executive of the bank.

In public service, Sanwo-olu was the commissioner for budget and economic planning ( prepared the budget of a big state like Lagos- mediocres cannot handle that). He was the brain behind economic policies in Lagos before 2007.

He thereafter became the commissioner responsible for training, establishment and pensions. His job description here was to oversee the training of Lagos civil servants under specialized portfolios and also regulate payment of pensions to retired Lagos State workers. Ask me about a State in Nigeria that retired workers are not suffering and I'll show you Lagos.

Under Ambode, Sanwo-olu headed the Lagos State Development and Property Corporation (LSDPC). Put differently, the existence of well planned estates in Lagos State since 2015-2019 passed through his office. While he was handling that office, he also became the
Pioneer Board Chairman of Lagos Security Trust Fund. Sanwo-olu gave direct security report to the governor about security infrastructure and financing- that's his experience in security.

I wrap with saying that Sanwo-olu is also a graduate of the London Business school. This is not even detailed.

Rhodes-Vivour was born on Lagos Island but grew up in Ikeja, both in Lagos State.
He attended Chrisland Schools, up to JSS3, and then proceeded to Paris to attend École Active Bilingue, where he completed his secondary education. He has a bachelor's degree in architecture from University of Nottingham and a master's degree in the same field from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He partook in the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in 2008 after his first master's and completed it in 2009. Rhodes-Vivour is from a family of lawyers. He is the son of Barrister Olawale and Mrs. Nkechi Rhodes-Vivour. He is also the great-grandson of Steven Bankole Rhodes, the second ever indigenous judge appointed in Nigeria.

GRV worked with Franklin Ellis Architects while he was in the UK. On returning to Nigeria, he worked with SISA, Kliff Consulting now called Building Partnership CCP, and Patrick Waheed Architects.

He is the founder of Spatial Tectonics, a design firm focused on unconventional construction methods to achieve affordability. He is a partner to Multi Development Construction Corporation (MDCC). He sits on the board of HomeQube Ltd, E-Terra Technologies and Alkebulan Agro-Allied. He is the chairman of The Rhodes-Vivour Foundation.

He was one of the first beneficiaries of the Not Too Young To Run legislation. In 2017, Rhodes-Vivour contested the Ikeja Local Government Area chairmanship under the KOWA party. Citing that the absence of godfatherism in the party made him contest under the platform. He lost to the candidate of the incumbent APC.

In 2019, he contested for the senate seat to represent Lagos west under the PDP. His campaign points were to revamp the infrastructure within the district and well as to get out the incumbent who he term as an "absentee senator spending more resources pursuing a futile governorship bid in Ogun State, rather than focus on Lagos West that have already given him their mandate". He came second in the final polls, losing to the incumbent senator and contestant under the erstwhile ruling party APC, Solomon Adeola, by 243,516 votes to Adeola's 323,817. Adeola received 41.38% of the votes, while Rhodes-Vivour received 39.40%. He contested the result in court, citing electoral violence and disruptions as reasons why the result should not be valid. However, the court deemed that not to be enough and upheld the election of his opponent.

He was the Labour party gubernatorial candidate in the 2023 Lagos State gubernatorial election, losing to the incumbent governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu. He was initially one of the nominees gearing up to contest under the PDP, but pulled out just before the primary election was held. He defected to the Labour Party, contesting during substitute election through which the substantive candidate of the party was to be chosen, and came out victorious, getting 111 votes, to defeat former All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain Moshood Salvador, who got 102 votes.

He is married to Dr. Ify Rhodes-Vivour (née Aniebo), a molecular geneticist by profession, who is the daughter of former military administrator to Kogi and Borno states, Augustine Aniebo.

Why can Dangote not tell the public the exact price per litre ex factory?

Now much more fewer Nigerians are traveling far distances. Go to the highways and you will hardly find plenty private cars on the roads. Going from Lagos to Onitsha in your private car should cost you close to 100k, depending on the car. Returning costs about the same amount. You also cannot afford to comfort of your car while there visiting. How can citizens travel during Christmas please?

Hopefully, the sector is fully opened up and consumers benefit good prices. I also hope that Dangote can lower his petrol price before his business is sent packing like some other refineries are experiencing abroad.

An Iranian EMP strike will not be limited to just Israel but all Gulf states housing US military bases.

1. The ECA was an illegal account as it had no Legal backing and as such was not supposed to exist in the first place. The FG Opened it without the input of the governors and also did not even discuss it with them. How do you open open a group fund account which will include the monies of sub national governments without their approval or knowledge?

2. The FG was taking money out of the ECA without approval or telling the Governors and LG chairmen who were part owners. The FG in 2014 scandalously told the country it was using the ECA to fund subsidy which the governors refuted and fought against then told them to divest the funds.
