Political Party is supreme in its own affairs. It is a voluntary organisation and members must abide by its own rules.

The elective office holders hold same position for 4 years unless otherwise decided by the Party. Originally December but like the last two National Chairmen, the parties can decide on its own.

2. To settle the issue, the NWC meeting of the PDP on 29/5/25, resolved that based on recommendations of the Governors Forum (though not binding), they nonetheless adopted it and stripped both Anyanwu and Okoye & asked the Deputy National Secretary to act forthwith.

3. At the 27th May NEC meeting, neither Anyanwu nor Okoye was present, the Deputy National Secretary was recognised as Acting National Secretary.
Note: Saraki was at both the National Caucus and the NEC meeting, no objection was raised in that regard.

4. The Supreme Court made it clear that the National Chairman and/or National Secretary's signatures is/are for administrative purposes in Jegede v Akeredolu. The Court further held that unless it is in the Electoral Act, any can sign.
The Supreme Court also asked is the penalty if one of the two doesn't sign.
