Ebubu: Government has no business with business. This should be private sector driven. Watch as mismanagement derails it.
After Soludo, another Governor will start his own Solution city and allow this one to decay and waste
After all, the new Governor needs means to chop his own money too.
Leave business for private people una no go hear.
E no fit even compete with Disney land in USA What should happen if the private sector does not have such ideas? You cannot eliminate government from such things as this. Again, the private sector must not necessarily dip hands into every business enterprise. The principal idea behind this project is TOURISM. That’s what government thought about. How to open up tourism in Anambra state, thereby bring in investors too. Just like Wike has done with the ICC in Abuja, if government officials begin their corruption magic, government may choose to allow private organizations run the place and ensure remittance of revenue to government purse. |

Please ask the patient to visit a dietician. They need to look at the person’s case and offer proper solution, that is if the person is truly diabetic. Endeavor to take the person along with medical reports. Most government hospitals have dieticians working there. Alternatively you may contact a private one. |

For me, the person is worse than Wike. Someone has expensive wines in his house; he sells expensive wines and to you should not drink his expensive wines. To you, he reserves it to serve to special guests? Why commonsense far from some youths like this sef? Mr. Wole Wole or gateman, did you enter the house to check for yourself? Or are you looking for the job of a boy boy, cleaner, gardner or bartender inside Obi’s house? Maybe that way, you can be able to count how many bottles of wines are in the wine bar, and also confirm if Obi drinks the wines, kunu or zobo. |

Agreed absolutely with Mr. Owoseni. Certainly too many needless security agencies created. However, the issue of bribe taking and receiving was in existence before his 1984 entry into the police force. How can that be the expunged now? What should be done to turn the police force around, to make it more trustworthy? I have always maintained that state police is meaningless. Why not recruit the same people into the Nigerian Police Force and properly fund the police force. Get the state and local governments to make their own contributions for the proper running of the police force. I think it should be more meaningful. |

The chairman is just thanking the state government for a project that was completed in his domain. Don’t mind the illiterates who litter this forum. That’s a project planned, designed, contracted and executed by the government of Lagos state. We all saw the governor of Lagos state at the beginning of that project. What the LGA chairman did was to show people how his local government area had evolved. He has his projects definitely, but building such bridge is beyond the resources of any LGA nationwide, until they begin to get and use their allocations directly into their accounts. Funnily most of those who have commented here do not even know the location of that project physically. Most do not even reside in Lagos. |

Throughout Buhari’s disastrous eight years he and he’s same APC group kept blaming PDP. Nothing crippled the naira other than unplanned and bad government policies, greed and corruption. Kukutente23: The SC did not create any confusion They simply hands off the matter It is NEC that should now have enough balls to decide if Anyanwu is no longer secretary according to party rules and if he's not, appoint another one even if in acting capacity This is a very simple step that's become difficult for the presence of saboteurs within the party The bedrock of this is corruption that bedevils Nigerian landscape. Parties are controlled by the man with the biggest bag. The same issues bedeviling PDP today happened to both AD and ANPP his sister parties in 1999. What this points to is that except Nigeria's political system is properly re-engineered, all political parties are at risk of this kind of mess in future. Even the APC. APC is not even doing better. They only have the advantage of holding power presently. If APC loses power, you’ll also see the members decamp to the next ruling party. Our country has been so badly disorganized by politicians. That’s why I sometimes feel that democracy is not for Nigerian leaders. It appears like a vehicle for looting. To achieve such magnitude of looting, politicians must possess to ability to divide the citizens along religious and tribal lines. |

9jatriot: After the events of what Mr Obi called "youngest brother's house", I think I now understand how he plays his deception in a way that he personally believes that he is not lying.
What I now believe is that when Obi says he has only one house, what he probably means is that he has only one house in his name. The other houses will be in the name of proxies. Now the problem is that nobody will beat him if he has many houses, even ordinary citizens have more than one house in various cities. But because he likes to create that spartan life that seemed to have worked for Buhari, he has to keep spinning half truth to keep up the charade.
When he also said he has only one watch and people showed him having other watches, I suspect that what he also meant is that only one of those watches was bought with is money, the others were bought in the name of Next supermarket, the companies he seem to hide under.
What about shoes, I think he copied I had one shoe from GEJ. I think that is the only one he is truthful about because even his wife at a recent event had to look with scorn at the kind of shoe he wore to a major event. “…Next supermarket, the companies he seem to hide under”. To your warped understanding, on one hand, Obi hides under Next, on the other hand he continues with “is” money. Why are you sounding so confused, or just commenting for the sake of it. If NEXT belongs to him, should he not enjoy the benefits from his organization? Should he not enjoy his money? Did you build the company for him? It is well documented that NEXT belongs to the Obi family? Does it belong to you, or any other person that you know? Since it is well documented, the registration details are in the open and you can research corporate affairs commission to determine members of the board. Perhaps also you expect to find you name there. What he does in the name of his company is his business and not yours. Whatever he purchases in the name of his business is his and not yours. Have you heard that the company has an issue with EFCC or any other government/security organization, for that matter? Those you support who are presently in leadership positions, you cannot query them on the sources of their humongous wealth, as they afflict the entire nation with misery and sleepless nights. Rather than hold present public office holders accountable for embezzling the common patrimony, you face the man who is not in power. Where is the law the prohibits Obi’s family members from owning properties in any part of the country? If he says that the property belongs to his brother and the name of the company is NEXT FOODS, how is that an issue? You left the substance of someone taking the laws into their hands to pursue the shadows of family that is being victimized. Sadly, some of you here are not able to read with proper comprehension. If you did, you’d have heard the state government categorically deny being involved in such illegitimacy. That shows you that even the Governor understood the weight of such a claim in his state and must work to sort out the matter. Now the family has reverted to court, to prove to all of you that the property was properly purchased in 2011 and government consent was issued in 2013. You may go and clean the records to prove your wrong assertion. |

fergie001: Very good...... It is now, you are ready to do opposition.
Ngeneukwuenu... Akanbi should come to Abia now otherwise .....hmmm
It is a big lie.
INEC has no business with intra-party issues, I have continued to hammer this.
The NEC meeting that removed Oshiomhole had only one signature.... Victor Giadom.
This is not true.
Anambra election was signed by the National Chairman. And Acting National Secretary, Kosheodo, it has been published by INEC. There is also a formal notice to INEC based on the NWC meeting of 29/5/25 that Anyanwu has been replaced. The National Chairman is trying to be clever by half... He personally signed that letter.
Again...in Jegede & PDP v Akeredolu, Aiyedatiwa, APC & INEC.
The Supreme Court held that there is no law that makes it compulsory for a National Chairman & National Secretary to sign the forms. The Apex Court held that one of the two can sign and even if it is signed in error, as long as the Primaries held in compliance with INEC rules, there is no punishment according to the law. I asked you a question a few days ago, and let me repeat it: What will happen if the PDP leadership waits until the disputed tenure of Samuel Anyanwu expires in December? What will go wrong, seeing as you said the other day, that INEC apparently laid a trap. |

Certainly, you DO NOT KNOW what “one thousand and something hectares” are. If you knew, you would not make such ignorant comment. The question was very simple. The PA dismissed the allegation that Wike’s son got an allocation of such size of land, but he confirmed that the land was allocated to a farmer and the company is called JOAQ Farms and Estate Limited. That is the name quoted in the allegation and confirmed by the minister’s spokesman. Tell us the name or names of those who own the company. That settles it, short and simple. Wike all the while as Governor of Rivers state had the same problem with people’s lands and properties. We read them in the papers frequently how he was destroying his perceived enemy’s houses and hotels, just like El Rufai. In Abuja, he has seized, revoked and threatened. So far he has not told anyone about the source of his humongous wealth. It is only appropriate for citizens to ask leaders questions such as this. Leaders in turn have the duty to answer. ErebeOcoco: The 12-Day War with Iran: Achievements, Losses, Advantages, Disadvantages, and What Remains Open
After some minor hiccups in the first few hours, the ceasefire between Iran and Israel officially took effect today, and it appears that Operation “Rising Lion” - or the “12-Day War” - has come to an end.
What did each side achieve? What didn’t they achieve? And what comes next?
Let’s start with the numbers:
Casualties and Injuries
Israeli side: 28 killed Over 3,000 injured
Iranian side: More than 600 killed (hundreds of them military personnel) Around 5,000 injured (according to preliminary data from Iran’s Ministry of Health — this number is likely to rise)
Extent of Direct Damage
Israeli side: Most of the damage was to civilian homes - hundreds of residences destroyed by Iranian missile strikes, leaving thousands homeless Minor damage to strategic sites such as the Haifa oil refineries and the Ashdod power station - no noticeable operational impact Limited damage to military facilities
Iranian side: Significant damage to nuclear facilities Major damage to factories connected to the nuclear program Heavy damage to Iran’s ballistic missile infrastructure: more than half of its missile launchers (approx. 200) destroyed Over 1,000 ballistic missiles eliminated from Iran’s inventory Significant damage to missile-related production plants - most were destroyed Major damage to at least dozens of Iranian military bases Symbolic strikes on government sites in Tehran (e.g., Palestine Square, Broadcasting Authority building) Heavy damage to security force headquarters in the capital (police, Basij, intelligence, Evin Prison) Iranian aircraft and helicopters destroyed on the ground Strikes on airports Destruction of many weapons depots Destruction of drone stockpiles Iranian air defense systems destroyed Hundreds of residential buildings damaged in targeted strikes and attacks on nearby terror sites
Targeted Killings of Senior Figures
Israeli side: No senior Israeli officials were killed during the operation; most casualties were civilians
Iranian side: 15–20 top nuclear scientists were killed Over 20 high-ranking military officials eliminated, including leaders of the army, senior Revolutionary Guard commanders, and top officials from the "Khatam al-Anbiya" coordinating body
Notable assassinations: Commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Commander of "Khatam al-Anbiya" (the de facto Chief of General Staff) — killed twice (i.e., his replacement was also eliminated) Chief of the Iranian Armed Forces Commander of the Aerospace Forces of the Revolutionary Guards Commander of the "Palestine Corps" in Quds Force — one of the architects of the October 7th attacks
Summary:
Israel achieved a tremendous success. If two years ago you had seen a short film showing what happened in Iran over the past 12 days, you would have thought it was science fiction. Many did not believe this was possible - even in recent weeks.
This was a historic operation by any standard, certainly in the history of the State of Israel. It required tremendous imagination to plan. As a people, Israelis have every right to pat themselves on the back.
That said, Iran’s ambitions, cunning, and deceit have not changed. They are already working to rebuild what was destroyed and planning years ahead.
Someone will need to keep enforcing the red lines again and again. This will be far more difficult than enforcement against Hezbollah - in terms of distance, violations of sovereignty, international legitimacy, and intelligence/military complexity.
This challenge lies before us and will remain until the current Iranian regime falls.
Israel must now lay the foundations for clear, enforceable rules of engagement - while there is a supportive president in the White House, one who views enforcement in a way that is close to Israel’s perspective.
Establishing principles for enforcement is currently the most important issue for Israel regarding the Iranian threat - a threat that has been mowed down but is likely to grow again.
A new reality must be created - one that Iran gets used to, and the world accepts: an enforcement routine 100% |

seunmsg: Wike won because the national chairman and the national secretary are both in his camp. That way, they will control the congresses from ward level to the national convention and ensures only their loyalists emerge at all levels. And basically, that is what the fight is all about. Whoever control the party structure dictates the candidate. You forgot to take note that Wike and Damagun long went their separate ways. I am conscious of the fact that Wike has other associates in the NEC and NWC of the party. Most party leaders are weary of his troubles and boastings. Damagun’s disagreement with him played out with Damagun being the lone signatory to the notice to INEC over the now canceled NEC meeting of the 30th. Damagun himself stopped recognizing Sam Anyanwu. Everyone in the party has woken up. Wike’s intention to control the national structure of PDP and Rivers state structure of APC, has come to the notice of all political powerhouses in both parties. Everyone is careful of him, including Tinubu himself. Now I strongly believe that except something goes wrong again, Wike cannot single handedly choose the PDP national chairman and secretary anymore. His only claim was financing the party and he cut that off two years ago. Now he has others who challenge him. |

Foreign Affairs › Re: Israel Was Hit Really Hard Says Trump by ElevationD: 3:14pm On Jun 25, 2025 |
SmartyPants: I've generally avoided weighing in on the damage measurement contest because ultimately most people who comment on this issue come of across as absolute buffoons. But I'll indulge today, simply to tell you:
What Iran did cannot be called war. Iran deliberately targeted civilian lives and infrastructure. So, what you are celebrating is the death of humans. Granted, some religions permit or even promote the killing of civilians (and you sound like an adherent of the famous one), so you may not see that as an issue. But the truth is that Israel could have caused an unprecedented humanitarian crisis if they adopted the same tactic of indiscriminate bombing of civilians. So there was no war as such. What we had here was a series of strikes by the Israelis, and coordinated acts of terrorism in response by the Iranians.
Secondly, even as such, it is obvious that the damage to Iran is far greater. Nearly an entire brigade of their so-called revolutionary guards was taken out. Do you understand what this means?
Iran's nuclear program is toast. No doubt, they will try to revive it at some future point, but that will be an exercise in utter futility, as whenever the powers that be are ready, they will simply bomb them to smithereens all over again.
Iran's biggest problem now is that all their rivals have tested them and proven that they can be beaten easily. Worse, the main deterrent, being the idea that Russia and other recalcitrant nations would join in any hostilities, has also been proven to be false.
Finally, if Israel had lost, do you think Trump would have announced that? He's merely attempting to massage Iran's battered ego in a way that gives the US an escape from conflict.
In other words, since you lost the real war (rather obvious), then we'll just pretend you won the media war so that everybody can rest. Absolutely. I also needed to give a response to that God1000 fellow, who just like Iran, has the religious angle. I did that just above. It was a complete smash by the Israelis. A few more days of war and nothing would have been left of the Iranian military. In all, I think Iran learnt a lesson. I believe that they will speed up their military pact with Russia, as guarantee for their future protection. Do not forget that the Russians are part of the nuclear project, helping to build the Bushehr nuclear plant. The Russians presently work there. They will never be allowed to possess nuclear weapons, as long as they continue to determine to destroy the state of Israel. I also foresee the collapse of the Mullahs and their extremist brand of Islam. Most of the citizens are disgusted and simply want to carry on their daily lives, not feeling threatened by anyone. |
