What should happen if the private sector does not have such ideas? You cannot eliminate government from such things as this. Again, the private sector must not necessarily dip hands into every business enterprise.

We all saw the governor of Lagos state at the beginning of that project. What the LGA chairman did was to show people how his local government area had evolved. He has his projects definitely, but building such bridge is beyond the resources of any LGA nationwide, until they begin to get and use their allocations directly into their accounts.

Funnily most of those who have commented here do not even know the location of that project physically. Most do not even reside in Lagos.

What’s that supposed to let us know? Emefiele was the CBN governor in an APC led government. Why do these APC people keep playing the blame game. The Supreme Court held that there is no law that makes it compulsory for a National Chairman & National Secretary to sign the forms. The Apex Court held that one of the two can sign and even if it is signed in error, as long as the Primaries held in compliance with INEC rules, there is no punishment according to the law.

Summary:

Israel achieved a tremendous success. If two years ago you had seen a short film showing what happened in Iran over the past 12 days, you would have thought it was science fiction. Many did not believe this was possible - even in recent weeks.

This was a historic operation by any standard, certainly in the history of the State of Israel. It required tremendous imagination to plan. As a people, Israelis have every right to pat themselves on the back.

That said, Iran’s ambitions, cunning, and deceit have not changed. They are already working to rebuild what was destroyed and planning years ahead.

Someone will need to keep enforcing the red lines again and again. This will be far more difficult than enforcement against Hezbollah - in terms of distance, violations of sovereignty, international legitimacy, and intelligence/military complexity.

This challenge lies before us and will remain until the current Iranian regime falls.

Israel must now lay the foundations for clear, enforceable rules of engagement - while there is a supportive president in the White House, one who views enforcement in a way that is close to Israel’s perspective.

Establishing principles for enforcement is currently the most important issue for Israel regarding the Iranian threat - a threat that has been mowed down but is likely to grow again.

A new reality must be created - one that Iran gets used to, and the world accepts: an enforcement routine

Wike won because the national chairman and the national secretary are both in his camp. That way, they will control the congresses from ward level to the national convention and ensures only their loyalists emerge at all levels. And basically, that is what the fight is all about. Whoever control the party structure dictates the candidate.

You forgot to take note that Wike and Damagun long went their separate ways. I am conscious of the fact that Wike has other associates in the NEC and NWC of the party. Most party leaders are weary of his troubles and boastings.

Damagun’s disagreement with him played out with Damagun being the lone signatory to the notice to INEC over the now canceled NEC meeting of the 30th. Damagun himself stopped recognizing Sam Anyanwu.

Everyone in the party has woken up. Wike’s intention to control the national structure of PDP and Rivers state structure of APC, has come to the notice of all political powerhouses in both parties. Everyone is careful of him, including Tinubu himself.

Now I strongly believe that except something goes wrong again, Wike cannot single handedly choose the PDP national chairman and secretary anymore. His only claim was financing the party and he cut that off two years ago. Now he has others who challenge him.

What Iran did cannot be called war. Iran deliberately targeted civilian lives and infrastructure. So, what you are celebrating is the death of humans. Granted, some religions permit or even promote the killing of civilians (and you sound like an adherent of the famous one), so you may not see that as an issue. But the truth is that Israel could have caused an unprecedented humanitarian crisis if they adopted the same tactic of indiscriminate bombing of civilians. So there was no war as such. What we had here was a series of strikes by the Israelis, and coordinated acts of terrorism in response by the Iranians.

Secondly, even as such, it is obvious that the damage to Iran is far greater. Nearly an entire brigade of their so-called revolutionary guards was taken out. Do you understand what this means?

Iran's nuclear program is toast. No doubt, they will try to revive it at some future point, but that will be an exercise in utter futility, as whenever the powers that be are ready, they will simply bomb them to smithereens all over again.

Iran's biggest problem now is that all their rivals have tested them and proven that they can be beaten easily. Worse, the main deterrent, being the idea that Russia and other recalcitrant nations would join in any hostilities, has also been proven to be false.

Finally, if Israel had lost, do you think Trump would have announced that? He's merely attempting to massage Iran's battered ego in a way that gives the US an escape from conflict.

In other words, since you lost the real war (rather obvious), then we'll just pretend you won the media war so that everybody can rest.

Absolutely. I also needed to give a response to that God1000 fellow, who just like Iran, has the religious angle. I did that just above. It was a complete smash by the Israelis. A few more days of war and nothing would have been left of the Iranian military.

In all, I think Iran learnt a lesson. I believe that they will speed up their military pact with Russia, as guarantee for their future protection. Do not forget that the Russians are part of the nuclear project, helping to build the Bushehr nuclear plant. The Russians presently work there. They will never be allowed to possess nuclear weapons, as long as they continue to determine to destroy the state of Israel.
