imperiouxx: By the time you see different mixed reactions in the embassy or VO cuts in, all your long thing without fullstop will diffuse into walls of your head. Summarize it and make it sweet, unrehearsed and personal:

Health science will make me gain broad scientific understanding of the function of the human mind and body and most preventive diseases (may/may not add this: malaria, typhoid, cholera) plaguing my country, mostly my state (origin/live). Quickly continue by adding your motive by saying how terrible you guys lack professional health workers and that your state government is investing on recruiting enough professional health workers.

Next might be your state or if you have been promised a job by your government.

Your reply: There is prospect for you, the place being your state (origin/live) with which you are identify.

Chikena!

jimtosam: Go with 40k. You come back with your remaining cash if there is excess. They have about five border points. Their immigration guys will be asking for tip at each of the point..With bold face, tell them you get nothing to drop. But, if at all you are frustrated (delay) to tip at the first point, tell them that one of the immigration guys should take you through the remaining points unless they will trouble and delay you at every other points. Becareful cos those guys like to exploit Nigerians. Imagine when I went, the immigration guys were asking me for 5k naira (not cephas). I first laughed. When the bike drop you at the ECO Bank,Benin Rep. just ask the bank official that you want to change money, they will ask one of the security guys to take you to a reliable exchanger. After that, you return to bank to complete the form. When you are thru in bank, just pick a bike in front of the bank. Don't pay more than 200/300 naira for the bike.

Try and go early, before 12 noon you are back to Lagos.
he shouldnt enta bike oh because they will signal the immigration officers to stop him he should jes trek from where the cab dropped him dah is much beta and also hide ur money wella oh because if them see am na OYO for u oh

Yvete: There is nothing relevant that has not been mentioned on here from Part 1. Since you're going for a BS in Health science, make a personal objective link on your study plan to your future plan in Nigeria. When did you finish high school? Do you have any gaps? Close it with relevant info. Remember that there is no substitute for preparation. So prepare well for all aspects of the interview.

If you provide pragmatic evidence pointing to reasons for return, they will have no reason not to grant a visa.
i finished my second skul 2011 attended a computer training college from oct 2011-may2012 dah was pretty much wah i did

Yvete: You've been on this thread for a minute bro. It will be shameful if you show up unprepared. Ask questions if you need any clarification on anything. Good luck!

Mamacita007: I copied this from maybe part 1 or 2 of this thread and saved it on my PC for months waiting for my interview. Hope it helps you

Documentation;
Primary Documents
1) Appointment Confirmation Letter
2) MRV receipt (If used)
3) DS 160 confirmation page
4) 2x2 passport size photograph
5) Nigerian Passport
6) I-20 and Admission letter
7) SEVIS Receipt
cool Sponsorship letter/ Bank statement /Proof of funding. If a Non-relative is sponsoring you, get a notorized letter at the high court.
9) Standarzdized tests scores (Toefl or GRE)
10)Secondary Documents i.e school transcripts/WAEC Certificate, and as many documents as you need to support your own peculiar case.
11)Know the schools you applied to

Possible Questions
Start from page 1, part 1 of this thread. Practise with a mirror or with friends, stay calm and integrated. Do not try to impress the VO by extra smiles or talking continuously etc. Be precise, clear and eloquent to the VO's questions by clearly stating your purpose. Remember you are being judged based on your responses and documents and you have to stay integrated without having the excitement affect your responses an showing any unintended negative signs. DO NOT TALK OVER THE VO.

Appearance
You dont need an expensive suit. Anything from business casual, semi-formal to formal should be ok. I don't think it's by "knacking" tie and new suit. A nice pair of pants/jeans/chinos with a well tucked in good shirt plus good shoes, I am sure it's a enough to make a good first impression.

List of Applied Schools
I think this will hint the VO that you are serious about furthering your studies anyway whether locally, in the UK or US. It's a good impression. The main thing is you need to give STRONG reasons why you chose US above others, which is one of the standard questions asked.

Teetee
All the best. Don't forget to share your testimony
thankssss am going with 1 mind if i don't get it i'll bomb the embassy down oh buh i believe i'll make it

kpolli: There are not definite set questions, if you have read that long, am sure u know documents to present and how to answer questions. . . . Just be urself, am sure you know why your going to the US, am sure you know what you wrote in ur DS-160 form. . . Just pray for favor and go and conquer. . . .

May the force be with you smiley

Mamacita007: Is it that there's no available space?

My spring people have all woken up. (Payne4real, Mr Chris, Tee tee) Our Visa is sure. The worse thing that could happen is delay but not denial.
