holuphisayor: Thank you 4 d advice i'll take note,bt i applied to uni's included.jst dat i preferred d college thing in texas and its without accomodation
please do take the advice of ferdimako go to the embassy with uni's i-20 when you get to the states you transfer to the cc of your choice...I'll also advice you not to worry about the accomadation thingy just yet... cos you need to prepare and nail your interview at the embassy it should be the least of your worries for now...when you get to the states you look for accomodation yourself...just like AnthonyMighty did...or maybe you can ask the mighty guru's in the forum about the accomodation thingy

holuphisayor: I have my reasons for seeking a community colleges and besides am a graduate of mathematics and am switching to engineering but to be succesful in my chosen field i need practical experience.thats all
its very RARE to see anyone being granted a visa with a cc's i-20 its best you go with a uni's i-20 to avoid being denied...By the special grace of God when you get to the destination of your choice in the u.s you can trasfer to a cc...besides there are hundreds of uni's in the u.s where you can find engineering majors

imperiouxx: I wish you guys success but can there be US without visa denial or US students thread without denial news? God should let us have good testimonies.

imperiouxx: Quick questions please:

Why do we care to help some people on this thread when they are in need of help? Why can't everyone just overlook his/her colleague in trouble time? Is it everyone that deserves help?

These questions baffle me since yesterday morning.
lolzzz that question is kinda crazy oh

justwise: @bigfrancis21

I have hidden your post that contains your email address for flynbird.

Why was the school issue brought open here but the school name remains highly guided secret?
I wonder oh, there's no harm telling us the school you wanna apply to, it won't still change the fact that you still wanna apply to the school, its best to drop the name of the school, someone could help you make a research on it to know what's up with the school as easy as ABC case closed!!! Or do you want me to confess youhuh grin grin grin
TravelRe: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part3 by elkharpone: 9:44pm On Feb 01, 2013
bigfrancis21: The two most common ways are,
1) Having someone overseas pay for you. SEVIS fee can be paid via Western Union but you can't remit money via WU in Nigeria here. You can only receive. Disappointing right?
2) Going to Benin republic and paying through the Western Union branch in Ecobank bank there. Funny enough you can pay via WU in a small country like Benin republic, but not in Nigeria, 'the giant of Africa'. Smh
This isn't a journey for the faint-hearted. You'll have to prepare for it.
you said it all it isn't a small journey oh...mine was hell the F"ing" immigration officers held me for almost an hour just because I didn't bring my passport along them wan even arrest me sef I jes dey laff na because I nor get time I jes settle them and they put me in a car that dropped me in front of the bank..even when coming back they jacked the last money on me thank God I hid my ATM card as I came out I jes went to the nearest ATM to withdraw...I sha reach my house by 10pm

Yvete: Loool @ American English. Very sweet when you're pissed!
What I like is that its informal with lots of contractions (lazy man's speech) even at a workplace. "How you doin?" may be incorrect to someone used to British English, but it works in all settings in America. Its strange to ask someone, "How do you do?" shocked WTH? And when your own boss calls everyone a mo-fo, what do you expect? A---ta is worse with cursing!
Did you watch Piers Morgan and Alex Jones (Gun control guy) on CNN? The guy said something kinda like, "Get yo British a$$ outta here!" on national TV. Then started mimicking Pier's British accent. hehehehe Quite unbelievably stup!d!

Anfnie (Anthony - That's how your name is pronounced), be a good 'boy'. No punches, jabs or uppercuts!
hahaha I can't stop laughing!!!
TravelRe: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part3 by elkharpone: 1:10am On Jan 07, 2013
Yvete: Yeah right, BS! Even if she was indecisive, your old behind does not qualify you to advice anyone. Still trying to get through a bachelors while your desperate azz roams all over nairaland looking for cheap schools. Have a seat! You have an archaic understanding of US and walls outside Nigeria, obviously. Need I say more?

With all the fraudulent messages I get from losers on this thread, its easy to know your type. Next time stay out of her business.
hahaha that is F**king LOUD Yvete am scared of you now oh
TravelRe: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part3 by elkharpone: 4:47pm On Jan 03, 2013
Yvete: shocked Did you really look things up? I applied to HCCS for someone yesterday and wonder what confuses you. I didn't pay a cent, took about 5 minutes and printed out the admission letter immediately. There are Community Colleges in the 50 United States. All cheap so it must not be TX. Google CC's in the Sunbelt/Lower United States. Cities in places like Arkansas, Alabama if you wish... Look up Gambling University, LA. Heard its cheap, but I know nothing about their reputation. Do the research yourself.

No scholarships at any CC in the US. Don't be misinformed. These schools are dirt cheap so its expected that you can afford it. Who seeks financial aid to a College that costs less than 3K a semester?
@Yvete Me oh grin will you sponsor my education in Hcc?cos I can't afford it wink
embarassed
