N147420, that was my school fees throughout 6 years of medical school.
If I'd gone to school on loan, my first salary would have settled the bill pronto.
Plus, almost half of my classmates were on scholarships, so they practically went to med school for free.

#HasJustineLandedYet
The hashtag that was used the world over to create awareness and fuel the cyber-contempt that cost the racist her job (and deservedly too, I might add)
All while she was still on the flight and couldn't access her Twitter. By the time she could access it, delete the Tweet and eventually her entire account, it was already too little, too late.
@Mods, This should make front page. The whole world should hear about this monster's story. And maybe all these racists and tribalists on Nairaland will start bridling their tongues

My dad was a drop-out. Had he not gone back to night school to study Law, he'd probably still be a low-earning clerk in NASCO.
My aunt dropped out of school. She's got no job and was just divorced from her 3rd husband.
Now, I've never seen Bill Gates or Seun Osewa. But my dad and my aunt I've seen my whole life.
Please whose example do u think I shd follow? grin

I don't even know what u ppl r talking about sef. Guys like me WANT to join the military because quite frankly, chicks dig that ish. They like the rep, the safety, and the pay (officers get a decent earning in Nigeria, which is a big deal when u consider what the majority of the labour market earns)
And, being a medic, if I were to join the military, I reckon I'd be saving more lives than I'd be taking.

What do u even understand by the term love?
Of course love is not only abt money but u guys got to be realistic for once and stop over exaggerating cashless relationships.

Feed on it, and get bloated.
The medical profession is the noblest there is. Of course there are bad eggs everywhere, that's my point.
Even in school, what we are taught is Tropical Medicine ie what obtains in our environment, corruption inclusive. I'm simply being realistic when I say that some criminals have licences. But not all doctors are criminals. When we strike, we are saying, "do what is right. Do what other nations are doing and progressing....do what stops doctors in other places from becoming criminals, give us what is rightfully ours"
Finish whatever u want to finish. Just know that it was only resident doctors that went on strike. Consultants were still attending to patients, and private hospitals(where the REAL criminals are) were very much open.
PoliticsRe: NARD Strike Suspended! by elobyobi: 12:41pm On Oct 27, 2013
This is Nigeria. We're all criminals, even to vulcaniser by the roadside who doubles the price of a tube when he sees that one is a novice. But then, "criminals" are necessary, indispensible even.

OKKO: They are finally tied, criminals on ward coats, bunch of clowns....think they will support their fellow northerners that high jacked the ASUU strike...all to pull down a xtian southern presidoo smh!
A mere student doctor being paid above 250K monthly still go on strike for trivial issues. I don't even know why Govt. will be wasting money for residency programme instead of collecting school fees from them as they keep on killing Nigeria, using them as guinea pigs for practicals.
It is high time other professions advocate for govt to be sponsoring their post graduate programme too
First of all, buffoon, there's no such thing as a student doctor. One is either a student or a doctor. A resident can very easily decide to practice in a private setting, kill more people and still make ridiculous amounts of money. Residency is work. School fees r paid to the Postgraduate college of medicine quite alright, but the residents are employed because of what they can do, not what they can learn. And by the way, if residents were actually earning 250K a month, we won't be complaining @ all.
Of course I don't expect you to understand.
