I have a Dingtone number, but I am reluctant to include it. Background noise around where I live could give me away if I were to be called unexpectedly; I can find a quiet place if I am the one calling.

Also, there's the accent angle.

I think a Nigerian number is a no-no, right? What to do?

Adding your number makes you look more trustworthy that's for sure. You could always ignore the call then find someone to help you call the enduser though
