By the way where is your proof for this alleged statement ? I dont like to really drag religion into this section but what was our beloved Mary's age when she bore the blessed Jesus (Peace be unto Him). It is only when issues relate to islam people tend to forget the many cultutral practice of the thousands of years ago. In many cultutes of those early ages once a girl start to mensturate she is deemed as matured and ready for marriage . In even in the ancient yoruba culture that was the practice. It is only modern awareness and level of education that regulates all this.

Now tell me in the UK i have seen 11 and 12 yr old girls being handed morning after pills and taught how to have sex i guess islam is responsible for that as well. My cousin is 11 and she was handed those pills, Little girls of 8 and 9 are being taught how to have sex in UK schools now and the results are devasatating. I won't even attempt to defend the UK. But here a few things for you to think about. In developed countries, children over all are reaching puberty quicker due to advanced health care and better facilities. Fact.

Kids are not being taught how to have sex. Fact. Kids are instead taught how to protect themselves and be responsible IF/WHEN they start having sex.

Pills are not handed out like that. Pills are given to teenagers who goes to the clinic at their own request if they have had unprotected sex.

Next time, read up on these things before you come here babbling. In the mean time, Muhammed had sex with an 8 year old. Fact.

Well, in a situation where some people would not want to dialogue with you and in addition have the mentality of "its my right to rule and have more authority than you in this country", what happens then?

In that kind of scenario - which is one of the issues we are facing in Nigeria - then something have to give. It is one of the reasons, I personally believe that are heading towards the path of a civil war.

A good example that falls into that profile is the issue of the Niger Delta. People started with the hope of engaging in dialogue to sort out what is perceived as the people by "cheating" "incorrect" "injustices" etc. Yet the people are ignored, some appear to have been killed by the very government that is meant to protect them. And not to state the obvious, people are now picking up weapons as it is bound to get their [govt] attention and forced them to do things, they haven't done in the past.

Which ever way you look at it, it is still in a war heading towards civil disobedience of some kind. Let us just hope it aint civil war.

My apologies for doubting you when you predicted this situation a short while ago. I only hope we can find a less harmful way of solving our problems.

What we need is dialogue and a change of mind set. The general mentality of the populace needs to change, it is there and then we may be able to iron out our issues in a civilised manner in my opinion. However, the chances of these happening look bleak to be honest.
