Foreign AffairsRe: Why Would Obama Sneak Into A Country Without Visiting The Country's President by ElRazur: 4:52pm On Dec 04, 2010
Also his thread title is not exactly a fair representation of the issue or is it? There is noting to suggest he "sneaked" into the country as it appeared that Karzai was aware he is coming.

It may be a surprise visit to the soldiers on ground, but surely the men who direct the war and the men obama will be meeting will be aware that a VIP is coming from Washington and in turn things like securing airways et al would have done with the Afghan authority and Karzai would be in the loop here. No?

Why do we have to wait for second half to make an impact? undecided
Foreign AffairsRe: Why Would Obama Sneak Into A Country Without Visiting The Country's President by ElRazur: 4:44pm On Dec 04, 2010
Compare likes for likes, and not an orange with a table!

Afghan have security issues and it is not unheard of for the so called "Green Zone" to be shelled when important officials are known to be in town.

The roads are bad and not as good as the UK. London do not have taliban roaming around with Ak47 and RPGs etc. So I think it is an unfair comparison.

The point is, the opinion of one man is what Ibime is looking into while leaving out the full story.

I am not a fan of Obama, but did the link not made mention that he was in contact with the President of Afghan? Why was this left out and instead presented like it was something done deliberately to spite Karzai. When in actual fact, it appears the decision was based on security risk. Smh.

Here we go again, the lack of clinical finish and being ruthless in front of goal is showing us up. It is like we never learn.

Sorry about my signature guys. I have a problem accepting and using words like "RIP".  No shakara here, just finding it hard to accept or deal with.

As per the game today, I disagree with the write up in the beginning. How can a straight two loss be a decline? We are two points away from the top and you call that a decline? I beg to differ on this one.

Keeper Issue,

I can see why Arsene may not have opted for schwarzer. Fabianski is proving himself in all honesty (even though most of us are still not concerned) and it will be an insult to bring someone like Schwarzer in and have him benched. It will be an ego/moral-killer for fabianski too if we start hunting for new keeper after he is starting to have a run of fine form in my opinion.

I personally think we need a new keeper, but I will go with the manager's decision for now. He knows better than I do when it comes to the whole keeper issue.

Today's game.

I hope we play well and kill the game at early stages. If our strikers can cut the mustard in front of goal with clinical finish, then I see us winning this game. If on the other hand, our strikers are cursed-with the "bendtner spell" then this game can go either way.

Ibime:
Its not about Karzai.

Its about simple diplomacy.

Its an act of aggression for a leader to enter another country (visiting troops) without visiting the Prez.

Yankee is behaving extremely arrogantly these days. After the wikileaks expose on the spying of UN officials, American military saying that British soldiers ae rubbish etc, one would imagine that America would not commit any more faux pas for the foreseeable future.

If you can't talk to neither your friends nor enemies, how can you broker influence?
Will it be a fair assessment to call your post Anti-western sentimental rubbish? (Insert rolleyes smiley here)

Here is the real crunch of the story that Ibime won't mention (See below)

But a planned trip to Kabul to meet President Hamid Karzai was cancelled because of stormy weather and difficult travel conditions.

The cancellation disappointed security analyst Michael O'Hanlon from the Washington-based Brookings Institute. "I think what I would have suggested is that the president spend the night in Afghanistan. Bagram Air Force base is quite safe. I do not think there is any realistic concern about him spending the night there. And then if the weather is good in the morning, take a helicopter to Kabul to see President Karzai and then come home," he said.

The two leaders did speak over a secure telephone link.
Now, the BOLD parts are the juicy bits.  While the part in ITALICS are nothing but an opinion of somebody.   Unfortunately, it appears Ibime is interested in the personal opinion than the facts of the matter.  Nice one sir.

Unless off course you are talking about another story I am not aware of.

Now Kobojunkie and El Razur are reacting in a way that's accepted, it's denial . . . a fight with her will only make things worse.
Not wanting to take this off topic. Eldee, the first few pages showed very little information and all I did was constantly asked for confirmation. Some how some way, someone thought I was "light trolling" and banned me. shocked

If you go through my stuff, I stated that mentioning someone is dead is a big deal and it is important to at least confirm it is that person in question.

On the Arsenal thread, I also asked for clarification. One, the guy never came across as 21. He was way too mature and talking to him on YIM a few times, he mentioned he works etc. So you can see why I wanted answers and a reflection on how I don't want him dead even though I barely know him.

You are right, Denial is one of the way we cope with dealing with people's death. I think folks need to realise that and allow people to mourn him in the way they best know.

Behind the scenes, there are stuff coming up suggesting it may be him, I have to say.

maddock:
I wonder what's biting Elrazur, why are you so abusive. The forum is an open one and the poster has the right to express his opinion whether right or wrong. Well back to the topic I would recommend a document on 9/11 titled INCEPTION, the evidences that the attacks were staged not by Terrorist but the goverments. The facts and evidences are so so alarming and it can't be mere coincidences. Look for the documentary watch it and see if you would still hold on to the facts that 9/11 was done by terrorist.
The guy is a person and I'm standing by that.

He posted the thread on the anniversary of the incident. The fact is emotion is still raw and I make no apologies for that.

As per asking me to watch inception. I think you will find that the age of social media and digitalisation has made it possible for anyone to knock out broadcast quality documentary and able to feed the masses loads of junk, when in actual fact they have no idea what they are talking about. These documentary are very good production wise and what not, but it is lacking in one thing - Truth. It is usually based on half truths and jargons twisted to fit the target and purpose of said documentary.

Your post just goes to confirm that you have fallen for that. You are quick to throw around the word "Fact". Perhaps I should ask you to take a minute and ask yourself the understanding of "Fact"? Known terrorist who were under observation managed to hijack a plane and you seem to think they were carried out by the state? Is this what you called fact? huh

Engineers and expert in such field have stated time and time again that there was never a "bomb" and offered logical reasons as to how the building collapsed in "free fall" yet you think what you watch or heard on a some documentary is the real fact? Are you serious?

john_blaze:
@maddock
its shows gross immaturity,he simply lacks the ability to engage one in a debate without engaging in character assassination.Anyway I dont blame him, it takes a person who is able to balance two opposing views in mind to critically examine an information before digesting it, unfortunately not everyone has that ability, some people prefer to hold on to pre-conceived views and when when confronted with an alternative information that challenges their previous views they simply reject it.
See what I mean about how daft you can be?

I do not need to assassinate your character, because with every post you make you killed how people view you. As it stand for me, you are nothing but another conspiracy theorist who goes all the way out to try and be different.

I have asked you to make a worthy debate and I will gladly join you. An offer you are yet to pick up. Smh.

You are the one with the pre-conceived view, you lack the ability to distinguished between fact and fiction but will rather post crap that's been going round the internet with many loopholes and illogical thoughts as proof.

You have a problem accepting the real facts and will rather seek this "alternative view" which is nothing but fantasy at best.

john_blaze:
when some people are confronted with truth, they choose to live in denial, there is overwhelming evidence(that is if you choose to look) that shows US government involvement in 9/11 attacks
Only that folks like you set out to look for evidence to fit your deluded fantasies.

You know, how some did in this thread (see below) equate President of NK to "Anti christ" simply because the bible said so.

https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-558134.0.html

You started this thread with the sole aim of sprouting conspiracy theory that you find intriguing, but has been debunked many-a-times over the web and loads of fact documentary done to counter all your claims.

I asked you this before, and I'm asking again. Do you have a degree in civil and mechanical engineering? Do you have models and facts (real facts, not the twisted crap you called facts) to back up your claims? Outside what you copy and paste, can you hold down a defence to each on of your claims?

Answer all of those please. I can tell you know, that we all know the answer to most of it.
CrimeRe: A Nigerian Student Shot And Killed In Us by ElRazur: 3:22pm On Dec 03, 2010
Okay, it is important to mention a few things.

While we may have our squabbles here and disagree over certain things. I think this thread shows that we somehow care about people we debate with or interact with online.

I stated this before, and I am stating again: The death of a member is a big thing to deal with and can be a shock to the system, so there shouldn't be a problem if some of us are asking for proper confirmation. It is because we care and deal with death in a different way. So for folks like me, it is important to get the confirmation if someone is reported as being dead or died fatally.

I noted that I was banned for "light trolling" just for asking for clarification if this was really about Bawolomo.   Smh.

Going by what I observed him post on the forum, he do not come across as a 21year old. He stated he worked etc. Anyone can see that these few things goes against what was being reported. Also those who claimed to "know him" are not forth coming with information. So it is understandable to see why some won't start posting condolences and just want a confirmation. (It boils to how we deal with death/bad news like this)

Deep down, I hope it isn't him and I hope it is all just a mistake, but I am not so sure now if all of these is a big coincidence. I mean, what are the odds?

As per those trying to bring God into all of these, I think this is wrong. Every man have their own beliefs and as such let us respect that. Especially, in this kind of moment where people are tense and want answer.

I won't wax lyrical about bawolomo, other than say home boy if you are there abeg log in.
