vedaxcool:Is this hypocritical of you? You are quick to take on board what Ikomi said about double speak, when there is no grain of truth in it. Yet here you are accusing people simply because they do not share your view. Is this the "double speak" you speak of? [s]Lwkmd. I love the intraweb. Allowing moppet to make an clown of themselves since the time it was invented.[/s] |
Again, I am NOT disputing that he did not issue come back to say he was misquoted (A claim most do not buy) He is however on record denying the holocaust. Fact. Do you not understand this? ![]() Please explain to me what is this "double speak" you speak off? |
Here are source to back up the fact that he was on record denying the holocaust. Blatant denial in 2005. Calling it a myth. Anyone with half a brain knows what the word "Myth" means http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/middle_east/4529198.stm International condemnation has greeted comments by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad that the Nazi Holocaust was "a myth".The video in question is doing rounds on the internet. Oh wait, the video is here. From 55 seconds onwards. http://news.bbc.co.uk/player/nol/newsid_4530000/newsid_4530100/4530102.stm?bw=bb&mp=wm&news=1&ms3=6&ms_javascript=true&bbcws=2 Twice he was on records denying the holocaust. Even fellow Muslims disagree with him. Allahuakbar. http://www.dw-world.de/dw/article/0,2144,1907670,00.html Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's remarks calling the Holocaust into question have disappointed Muslims in Germany, who do not share his anti-Semitic views.More video dating back to 2009, where he once again called it a myth. http://www.france24.com/en/20090919-western-powers-slam-ahmadinejads-holocaust-denial-sparks-outrage-anti-semitism So vexdacool, what do you have to have. Apart from "period"? ![]() |
Ikomi:Ikomi, In most of the debate I have with you, you seem to have a habit of proclaiming this greatness of your intelligence and how you trounce anyone who dare have a view different from yours. Here is a bit of thought - Please let your post do the talking and let this so called intelligence or Grand knowledge that you boast of show in your post, as oppose to you just talking about it when it is severely or almost non-existent in your post. Just a thought. No offence, but half of the time you evade the point at hand, cannot reason enough to see the bigger picture or even put together a paragraph with much substance in it. Let me start all over again and point out all the flaws in your so called view points. My original point made mention of how opinions can be swayed by the media. This is a known phenomenon and I have given example to the effect. Now as per Ahmadenjahd, he was on record saying those things. This, you just cannot seem to grasp together in your little mind. Let me make things very simple for you as you appear to exhibit the characteristics of a simpleton ikomi. 1+1 you see, equals 2. This is a universal fact and cannot be disputed. Get it? Once you apply this simple, everything else falls into place. Now as a recap, Ahmadenajad was on record denying the holocaust. That makes it a fact. Are you still with me Ikomi? Hold on, this won't take long. As we now know this is a fact, it do not matter what your type says. Facts cannot be changed. Period. Take a 5 mins. break because I am about to answer your leading questions once and for all. No, seriously, go and take a break as you have the attention span of a fruit fly. Now, go. Answer these questions, I have asked you same questions before, it might help clarify or should I say demystify your position on issues. Now that you are back, let's put this to bed once and for all. Have I met almadin before? The price of ogogoro in Lokoja and the price of suicide vest in west bank have no correlation at all. Conversely you failed to realise that you have not met him either, but you come across like you defend him on this forums. It is even more disturbing that you idolise him and hence your views are some how tainted by your feeling towards him. (All anyone need to do is to read back your various garbage you have posted in his defence) As per your second question, I have no opinion of the man in the sense you are asking. I do however hear him speak in live broadcast (UN meetings) and he appears to come across like he's got very little to say. So my opinion are based on what I have heard from him and quotes that are attributed to him and never disputed etc. Again, this question highlights your lack of objectivity. You assumed I have a shaped opinion of your man in a possible negative or biased way simply because I pointed out that he denied the holocaust. You may have had a point if it wasn't true and all made up. As the truth stand and as fact goes, he did denied the holocaust but you lack the guts to admit he did and will rather pursue this line of madness that you present all the time. Finally, your supposed "third question" was never a question. You see, this is what I mean by you claiming to be the all-knowing-intelligent dude and yet your post do not even show an ounce of it. Sorry, I cannot help you. PS I am gonna go out of my way and make a prediction as follow: You will find it hard to come up with something meaningful. Play straw-man. Miss the point and then post more irrelevant points. Claim to be the Einstein of Nairaland and declare you have little time. When all of the above fail. Take a long exile leave and wait for the right thread to come up before you bring up this issue again. Denounce all proofs that he denied the holocaust etc. Please prove me wrong. |
Tink_sh:There is nothing wrong with thinking about something. Most things that do well in this world - automobile design, food, electronics, politics et al - are thought of in the first place. Your point to me, is almost insulting the females as it appears you are saying females are incapable of thinking or do not understand the concept of thinking. But maybe you can explain this "female thing" to me. |
vedaxcool:Do you mind providing proofs or source to back up your claims? From the top of my head, he denied the holocaust but then said that when challenged. Saying "period" do not make your post valid you know. |
A lot of people getting things mixed up. There is a difference between bringing up an issue (or suggesting an issue) and "asking" The guy never asked her to go and have sex. He brought it up and laid it all at her feet by saying it is up to her if she wants to. Why are people missing this? ![]() |
shotster50:I think you may have misunderstood my point. I have never mentioned that he is better than any artist. What I am saying that he is influential in his own ways etc. I have never stated categorically that he is better than anyone. I shy away from saying those things as it can be very subjective. Hammer is old. I agree. His music is shit. Well, I said it from the beginning that his style of music may not appeal to the newer generation we have. I also went as far as saying that his music will be perceived as "weak" by some. |
I think most men are able to just have sexxxxx alone without no emotional attachment involve. It is usually the female that see sex as a big deal where whom ever they "give it to" must come running when ever they call - be it emotionally or in other ways. I personally do not see the big fuss about sexxxx. I think it is truly possible to have sex with someone else while one's heart is lies with another person. If most agree that it is hard to dealing with great distances, especially when two people like each other, then why not open all the options that are possible that in my opinion may help bind them together even more? Overall, it appear the females have a problem with this kind of idea, whereas most men who have posted in here see no big deal about it. Could this just be the bottom-line of the matter at hand? That is, gender seeing things differently? |
teeboyseve:Off course now you fit use any team you want. I wanted to make things interesting, but at the same time, I no wan restrict your play. I don't mind which team you pick. For every team in that game, there is another team with the style to counter it etc. I'm off from friday so you will see me online. |
nakedwire:I'm sorry if what I am saying is not good enough for you. No vex. It is entirely possible for two people to like each other and not cross over into having a full blown relationship. Same way it is possible for two people to have sexxx with each other and not be in a relationship. The guy never asked the gal to sleep around but suggested that she can if she wants to due to the distance involve and the fact it may eventually happen anyway. You see, what you are saying is different from what I posted in the OP. |
livedit:Would you rather he keeps mute and do it behind your back while maintaining a false approach with you? From what I can tell, they like each other and that is about it. But there may be possibility that a relationship may happen. |
Once again, Islam portrays itself as the enemy of progress and enemy of mankind. smh. Does it matter if the candidate is a man or woman? Let the person who can do the job, do it o. |
Oh. I get your point now. Apologies. Yeah I agree with the point you raised. The only thing certain is that I do not see them winning the next general election. Having said that, the damage would have been done. The sad fact is that these folks - Dave and co are all rich folks and while some of the cut may affect them, it will not dent them in anyway compared to the general public of the UK. |
bk.babe97y: Lwkmd. Hammer is 48. I am no way near those figures. I follow history of Black music for quite a while and one of the interesting topic is always the clash between new comers and old timers. Something significant in this thread. You have a point though, majority of forumite (forum user) in nairaland are probably people who never got exposed to the music of hammer during his time etc, and are much more aligned with music from 6-8 years ago or so. So I honestly expect a strong defence for Jay Z and the newer artists. |
The coalition government was warned that the major players will be followed around and students protest when ever possible. I guess, this is just one of may incident to come. Do I think capitalism is on its last leg? Probably not, the government just got this whole tution fee thing wrong in my opinion. I am not sure if it is a reflection of capitalism in its entirety. (But them I may be wrong, economics no be my strong point) |
pro01:Hard to ague against your points. Well said. 9.5 out of 10. ![]() |
iice:I think the point was to be upfront and to put across a practical approach to things. Thanks. (333*333*) Ujujoan:I never said this was about me lol. Also, I never mentioned in the OP that it was a relationship, I just stated they both like each other a lot. Trust female nairalanders to try and find meaning and motives for every thing. Ujujoan, have you ever been in a similar situation where distance was a barrier? If yes, how did you cope? |
Agreed for majority of the point raised. I just think if a few good showing are not rewarded, then breaking into the first eleven is seen as "too hard" and may be counter productive to some? Also players not making the breakthrough may be lured by other clubs? A recent example is perhaps one of our players that "was deemed" surplus and allowed to sign a contract with one of the Championship side on a permanent basis or so. Finding the right balance is not always an easy task. As per our players appearing not to give it their all and allowing what is perceived by many as complaceny taking hold of the team, I am sure if Arsene where to bench a few of them for young guns then perhaps they may be forced to put in that little bit extra more? Cesc knows there is really no competition for his position on field at this point. Arshavin barely have anyone who can challenge him etc. (The only place I see competition is probably in the forward/striking position - Chammy, RvP and perhaps Bendtner) Again, the above goes back to the original point I was trying to mention - Rotation. Rotating players or benching them for those who perform better may just ooze the extra out of them. |
iice:Do you mind elaborating a little bit as to why you do not see anything wrong with it. This is very important please. A few ladies here disagree while ignoring the fact that men and women who like each other but are apart as a result of great distance will more than likely have sex with someone else as a stop gap if needed. |
debosky:I honestly feel the mixing them up approach allows a smooth transition. Hence why our youngster and first timers gel so well in carling cup matches over the years. Dunno if you've gone to see a reserve match before, it can be lifeless and with little atmosphere. |
iice:Do you see anything wrong with what the guy suggested? |
• Jesus Never Bleep Up Ministry ( Benin )Lwkmd. Reading this alone makes me happy in a weird way that I am naijan! Long live my people. |
Frosbel, In Nigeria, we place more value over religion and beliefs than logic and common sense. As it stand, it will probably never happened. Already, some one have quoted the bible to try and contain any kind of thought that may want to actually do that. ![]() I am sure the Quran have something to say to that as well. |
How is it unreasonable? Do you mind explaining? ![]() |
eldee:Counter productive I think. A good mix of reserve life and taste of what is going on surely will work better for us. |
The guy merely suggested it and said "it is up to her". I don't know about you, but I have a feeling that there is nothing suggesting the guy do not care, after all he was just pointing out the obvious. Abi I no dey see am from the ladies perspective? ![]() |
Read my post again. You keep claiming you have no time, yet come back for some more. British Empire was on record for colonizing sections of Nigeria, now someone comes out and denounce all these proofs that have been collected over the years and claimed it was all a fabrication. |
So what about people who like each other, but in the mean time have sex with other people as a stop gap? Let's be real, these things happen and the guy was only being upfront with his views? No? |
So you meet someone and you both like each other, and over time the feeling started getting stronger and what not. The only downside is that distance is a big problem. I am not taking about Kano-to-Lagos type of distance, but Germany or Yankee to Nigeria type of distance. So once day, the guy was like you know what, while it is difficult for us to see each other at this point, I have no problem with you having sex with another guy if you want to. For the sake of argument, this guy was genuinely being upfront and do not see the fuss about sex if should the girl choose to do it. One of the many reasons the guy suggested this is because, the gal is fine and truth be told someone will eventually come along and try to sleep with her anyway and the gal may also need to have intimacy at some point. Anyway, the gal then turned around and said to the guy that she is shocked and appalled that the guy can say such a thing! She even went further to accuse the guy of not caring enough etc. Now nairalanders, is there anything bad in making such a suggestion? Bearing in mind that the guy actually cares, but do not want the issue of sex with other people be a problem at all. Also, will you allow this as a lady? If not, why not? |
eldee:Awwwh pele. Broken record. What a child, can barely say a thing when put in his place. As Jay Z said (or apparently mentioned) Jesus can't save you from this one. It is fun while, it lasted, once you post something more meaningful and answer my questions. I may come back and post some more. |
slimshay:Try his reading about him on the web. There is a few things I do not know about him and I am not exactly his right hand man, nor do I pretend to be. A quick google will save you the trouble of having to ask me. After all, you are on the net too isn't? |

I wish my man would tell me, hey livedit, it's okay for you to sleep with other men since we live on opposite sides of the world. Then that would draw up a tremendous red flag as to how much exactly he is committed in this relationship. I don't care if him and I lived on different planets. I will not cheat on him and I expect the same respect from him. Are they in a committed relationship? If not then, he basically giving her the okay that she can still date and do what she want and he will do the same. But telling someone that it's "okay" to sleep with other people while in a relationship is NOT an option! I would've been greatly offended by that remark. If they don't ever plan on getting together and making it official then, no. I still wouldn't have said that though. You use the term of you are free to see and date whomever you like. Not it's okay to go sleep with every Tom, manliness of Harry? Ummm noooo!
