It's such a joke when Nigerians compare Nigeria to the United States. grin
Not sure there is a comparison as such, but merely highlighting how risk that are deemed a low level threat can proved to be dangerous.

Allow me to paint a simple scenario for you. A blast killing several hundreds of thousands can possibly bring out a war of some kind. A rogue nation will make money by arming all the warring sides. smiley

You are taking the cesspit called Nigeria too seriously. Who in his or her right senses will spend much brain cell thinking about wiping out Nigeria with dirty bomb? I had sent them loads of poisoned champagne and still make profit out of the diabolical method.
Possibly. However, it should be noted that a few reports suggested that a plane can be used by terrorist to crash into tall rise buildings, but it was never taken serious. . . . Until 9/11 incident happened. smiley

Security risks should be addressed, I think that is the point I am trying to make.
Foreign AffairsRe: Ahmadinejad Pallies Mugabe by ElRazur: 8:04pm On Apr 26, 2010
Ikomi, you have claimed that the western press is biased. Okay, let me play along. You have suggested that RT, Al Jazeera offered a more balanced view. Okay, let me play along with that too. As it stand, here is a news link from Al Jazeera archive reporting that Ahmadenjad DID DENIED the holocaust. I wonder what you have to say again? I suppose the Zionist-capitalist-usa-lsraeli hydra headed monster controls Al jazeera too?

Here is the exact quote.

Ever since their qualification for Germany, Iran have been one of the most talked about teams, but to the dismay of many in the football-mad nation, rarely for sporting reasons.

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's claim earlier this year that the Holocaust was a myth and his declaration that Israel should be "wiped off the map" provoked widespread condemnation in the host nation. Some German MPs even petitioned FIFA to have Team Melli excluded from the competition.
I suppose Al Jazeera is now a biased source too? Here is the link for you to read:

http://english.aljazeera.net/archive/2006/06/200849161138215987.html

Oh the above was from 2008, but pause for a minute, back in 2007 he claimed he never said such things and denied it out-rightly when he visited the US, even though there are record of him doing so in 2003 etc. The point here is that it is one record that he did say such vile comments and to deny he didn't is just out right lie. We have the video, the news link and various archives, surely the Zionist movement do not control this media outlet used for the latest line of profs and source? At least that is what you Mr Ikomi accept.

Nice. smiley

Honestly, you really are moving us away from the koko points at hand. This is about Arizona - a border state with mexico that have seen an increase in social breakdown as a result of lax border control and here we are, you are basically saying it is okay to have immigration and migration unchecked. huh Abeg forgive me if I no dey follow you yarn the way you want.
Foreign AffairsRe: Ahmadinejad Pallies Mugabe by ElRazur: 7:29pm On Apr 26, 2010
I think anyone with half a brain knows the difference between exaggeration and denial. In all of the evidence I have posted, he basically did both. How people refuse to see this is beyond me.

His support for Hamas was for the purpose of waging a proxy war with Israel, that is what is wrong with it.

I came in here to make two points, I did and the issue of trying to bring USA and what not into it is just something I refuse to play along with. It will be a never ending issue. As it stand, two simple points that are proven as facts are still been denied. I am not sure it is a wise idea to even entertain the notion of trying to drag other factors into this debate. Thanks, but no thank you. I will stick with the two points I have been making. smiley

Arkison:
I read the thread and I understood it is about illegal immigration. The problem with me is that, I do not believe there is anything like Illegal Immigration. All migration are legal. It just that may be Iam not good at presenting my points, but all are relevant and logical
I am not so sure all immigration are legal, especially amongst humans as one have to obtain and procure the necessary paper works. We are higher intelligence and as such we have evolved to make laws so as to have orders and less chaos in our society. As my people talk for yoruba "the town wey no get law, there is no sin for there".
You see migration is controlled by various law governing each country concerned and a breah of these laws makes it illegal. You are not a pigeon or egret that migrates every year, you are a human being and as such bound by the laws of the land. smiley

I don't know whether you have noticed that the issue of illegal immigrants in most cases is comes from countries with better condition of living and are developed countries? And the standard of living of a country is usually dictated by their resources consumption hence the example of oil and food production.
You mean economic migrant? Yeah off course, however it is still not an excuse to adopt the logic of "no such thing as legal migration as it is all nature etc"

Humans have no rules. Humans create rules to satisfy their interest. And these rules are dynamic and can be change to satisfy the influentials in the society. The idea that the well to do countries have created a systems that allow selective people into their country alone is not only inhuman, violates the law of nature, but exploitative.
No we have rules, see the explanation I gave above. smiley Rules do not necessarily favour a few people, but the overall majority. Stealing is illegal etc, it is there for a reason and a very good reason to be honest.

Whether they like it or not, if there is continuous movement of resources there will be continous movement of people. Illegal migration is a socio-economic problem not legal problem
huh
I think you will find that illegal migration is against the law of the country concerned. smiley Anyway, I think we are moving off topic now. So I am going to leave it as that. smiley
Foreign AffairsRe: Ahmadinejad Pallies Mugabe by ElRazur: 12:36pm On Apr 26, 2010
Also may I add that it is very hypocritial and almost oxymoron of you to slant the Western media, then use the same media you have criticised to exonerate Ahmadenajad's denial of the holocaust. Where is the logic? smiley
Foreign AffairsRe: Ahmadinejad Pallies Mugabe by ElRazur: 12:32pm On Apr 26, 2010
Yawn! Another lengthy post side-lining the issues. shocked

My original points are as follows - He denied holocaust and he supports hamas. (I.e he uses hamas to wage his war on Israel, a point which appears to keep going over your head) undecided

Originally you claimed I know nothing and what not, then when I posted link to prove the points I made briefly you appear to be going downhill since then.

Again I am asking you, in the video I posted did he denied holocaust or not?

From the news link posted, Is Iran not supporting Hama or not?

Answer those and my mission here is done, any other claims are just laughable to be honest. smiley
Foreign AffairsRe: Arizona Immigration Law. Necessary Or Bad Law? by ElRazur(op): 10:22am On Apr 26, 2010
Are you serious? Allow me to play along.

Arkison:
Migration, Immigration and emigration - whatever jargons they want to describe it with is a natural phenomenan among all living species. Animals, birds and humans have being migrating over centuries and will continue to migrate. To reduce migration, state control and racial profiling will not limit that. Rather, goverments of all countries have to look at it from human and natural perspective. Why do animals (human, birds, fish, zebras) migrate? People migrate in search of food and better condition of living and therefore migration will continue wether all of America introduce the law ane even if it force people to start wearing lapels on their pockets to identify a citizen and a non citizen. If the millions people thought to be illegal immigrants revolts will the gov't deport or kill all of them?
Humans have rules and as such have to abide by them. I suppose using your logic of nature, it is okay for a Cub lion to have sex with its mother, I am wondering if it is okay for you to have with your mother? After all, it is nature and your logic?

It is more reasonable to ask why should America consume 80% of the world oil and they are just less than 0.1 percent of the world oil? Of course people have to follow the oil to where it is consume since America are ready invade a country in order to consume more oil in their country.
Irrelevant to the discussion at hand. Price of tea in Ekiti and the strike of doctors in Ikeja bears no relation at all.

Or why should kenyans be suffering from food shortage while 80% of their food production is shipped to Europe for consumption? Of course Kenyans will have to follow their food to Europe for consumption.
Another irrelevant post.

If there is continues movement of goods and natural resources then there should be continous movement of people.
I think you should read what the thread is about again. Here is a clue - Illegal immigrants. smiley

True talk.

I am a security freak and incidence like this get my brain into thinking mode. What if that container/barge/ship was laced with a dirty bomb by those fanatics or a rogue nation looking to spark a war in our region? I think we need to readdress a lot of issues, especially our Practice and Customs.

We've had "potentials" for almost 40 years, if Nigeria is a baby and it showed potentials of walking and talking from over forty years ago, I am sure loads of people for don give up and think something is definitely wrong.

How much control do we really have over our borders, air space and waters? Oga o. Most Nigerians on here are constantly suffering from "we are the giant of africa" syndrome, but how the heck can a giant not have control over her waters and what not? There is nothing stopping a rogue nation from using our air space and waters for their own need and fire practice to be honest.

Oh before anyone talk about how we have Chinese fighters, oh give me a break. They are just that CHINESE fighters.
Foreign AffairsRe: Ahmadinejad Pallies Mugabe by ElRazur: 9:26am On Apr 26, 2010
As for supporting Hamas. Here is another one of his quote on Hamas and Israel from 2008:

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad vowed Friday to keep supporting the Palestinian militant group Hamas until the "collapse of Israel."

The Iranian news agency Khabar quoted Ahmadinejad as telling Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh that Iran views the support of the Palestinian people as part of its religious and national duty and that Iran will stand behind the Palestinian nation "until the big victory feast which is the collapse of the Zionist regime."

In a phone conversation between the two leaders, the Iranian president said that the continued Hamas resistance against Israel and the group's achievements would always be "a source of pride for all Muslims."
I suppose Ikomi will tell us how he went on NTA this time to address those statements. Or how it means something else blah blah and was taken out of context.
http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/spages/1020630.html

And just in case that is not good enough for you. Have a try at this:

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/middle_east/article3512014.ece

The Hamas commander, however, confirmed for the first time that the Iranian Revolutionary Guard has been training its men in Tehran for more than two years and is currently honing the skills of 150 fighters.
Oh what is your next line of pathetic defence or counter argument now? smiley

Patronise you, lol, u wish. I'll just point out when you are wrong and when you are right.
You mean been selective about facts and what not? Sorry, what level of expertise do you have to say something is wrong or right? Especially, when archived record showed he denied them. Please enlighten me.

The man from the picture you placed up there, still asks the same question, why should one group be more important then the other.
Irrelevant. You really are coming across as thick in the head now. The point we are supposed to be talking about keep getting sidelined. Please stay on track. smiley
You watched the first 3 mins and ran off with what you would want to believe aided by your biased prints. Any neutral minded person would obviously understand that the man was simply asking questions and was denying nothing.
Not only are you selective about the truths and facts, but you have resulted to making assumptions now. I should just assume you are thick in the head too, that way it is a level playing field. Right?

And as I have asked you:

What has the denial of Holocaust(which is not true) or support of Hamas(which can not be prooved beyond the fact that Hamas use bombs made in Iran, as Congolese rebels use weapons made in America to terrorise villages and despoil women), got to do with the benefit of trade to Zimbabwe?
You really are becoming repetitive and it sucks. Those questions have been answered, please refer back to the previous posts. smiley

I put this to you, did he denied holocaust or not in the video I posted? Remember, before you answer, take your own dose of "balance" and "neutrality".

But if you can dismiss a BBC link that have it on record that he did, I bet you will not admit to the above question that he did in the video. Seriously, who are you fooling with your hypocritical post? Joke is on you.

He has always actually said that genocide in all forms should not be allowed again be it by Germans against Jews, or by Jews against Palestinians.

Foreign AffairsRe: Ahmadinejad Pallies Mugabe by ElRazur: 9:02pm On Apr 25, 2010
Ikomi:
ElRazur you are not sure of these things. Now if a man asks why is the death of Jews more important than that of black africans, is it a wrong question?

Many africans died during slave trade. But that is not a denial that Jews or Africans died. As the west would want to paint it for you.

Now your talking. What the man has always asked is why the death of Jews is more important than that of Palestians, and if we are been honest as the EU and America are starting to see sence in the question, I sincerly dont see anything wrong with the question. But to say he denied the holocaust is an outright lie, he never did.
Dude, quit trying to patronise me to be honest.

Jews were murdered because of who they are. Basically, they were victims of genocide. Those who died in World wars like Ahmadinajad likes to refer to were victims of war. Dying as a result of war and deliberating killing people for the fact they are Jews are two different things, but since you are very selective, I expect this to go over your head.

Again you are moving the goal post. The point remains he denied the holocaust a few times and when he is questioned about it, he result to saying something else like you are doing right now.

I am not willing to be drawn into extensive debate, but focus on my original points that you are trying to say ain't true. So far, I have posted links that backs up what I said all along - that he denied the holocaust - but all you have done is make some hypocritical statement to defend your view point. Perhaps you should start providing some proofs to back up your statement like I have done? Just a thought.

I am tired of you illogical thoughts, so as a result, I am leaving you with a video where Iran's president denied the holocaust. This was shot in iran and well transcribed. From the video at about 3mins or so in to the video, he claimed the holocaust was planned and it was all false.  How that is not denying holocaust is beyond me.

http://www.memritv.org/clip/en/0/0/0/0/0/361/2247.htm
Foreign AffairsRe: Ahmadinejad Pallies Mugabe by ElRazur: 8:40pm On Apr 25, 2010
Dude I get tired quickly with bickering back and fourth. He denied holocaust and when pressed in interviews with western media he result to saying something else. Basically, in all the question thrown at him with regards to denying holocaust, he is yet to categorically say he didn't. However, he goes to say the same tired lines "why are the death of the Jews more important" or something along those lines. That is not answering the question.

What he said was printed exactly as he said them on the BBC news archive, but as you have shown, you are very selective when it comes to dealing with matters head on.

It is clear he would say anything to cling to power and rally support amongst his people back in Iran, but when pressed outside Iran he claims to be saying something else. This pattern have been tried over and over again, and quite frankly, it is a joke.

Again, I still find it hypocritical of you to slam the Western media, then use the same media to defend him. How does that work? Jeez, you can't eat your cake and have it back. smiley

He had to come out on Larry King when he attended the UN summit last year, since all you, BBC and others would do is paint him in bad light.

You are getting ridiculous now. His statements on the link provided showed he denied it. Going on LKL means nothing, it do not change the past or what was on record.

Again, what is the difference between the BBC and CNN? Here is a little clue, Western media and as such not much difference between then. To keep claiming he never denied it is just not true. His very statements denying this horrible even are there in the link I provided for all to see. But I guess you have a selective sight. smiley

You cannot claim the western media is biased, then use the same western media to defend him. It makes no sense and it is one of those things you are not been objective about. smiley

Just for good measures, here is another denial from 2009. I suppose it is all propaganda and not ashred of truth in it right?

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/8264111.stm

The Iranian president's latest denial of the Nazi Holocaust has drawn strong condemnation from Western powers.

Speaking in the capital, Tehran, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said the Holocaust was "a lie based on an unprovable and mythical claim".

Germany said the comments were a "disgrace to his country" while the US said they would "isolate Iran further".

Mr Ahmadinejad made the remarks at an annual rally where opposition supporters clashed with police.

Reformists, who have been banned from holding demonstrations since disputed presidential elections in June, defied warnings not to use the pro-Palestinian Quds (Jerusalem) Day marches to stage protests.
Foreign AffairsRe: Ahmadinejad Pallies Mugabe by ElRazur: 5:21pm On Apr 25, 2010
The problem here is that you just look for a reason to dismiss anything I post.

The meeting I was talking about was the UN meeting, and you wonder why I try not to get into these sort of debates. Nah wah o.

Anyway, here is a quote from those who watched the speech he gave.

http://www.iranholocaustdenial.com/statements/ahmadinejad-most-dangerous-anti-semite.htm

The President of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, addressed the General Assembly of the United Nations today, invoking classic anti-Semitic imagery and blaming much of the world’s problems on the United States and Israel. Rabbi Marvin Hier, Founder and Dean of the Simon Wiesenthal Center who watched the speech said:

“Listening to his words from the rostrum of the United Nations and the applause at its conclusion - I thought I was watching the reincarnation of a young Hitler addressing the Reichstag to the thunderous applause of his followers.  Ahmadinejad is unquestionably the world’s most notorious anti-Semite, repeating the mantras that Zionists dominate the financial centers and force political leaders to agree with them in order to obtain their financial and media support."

"It is inconceivable to me that 65 years after the Holocaust, seven former US Secretaries of State, and some prominent religious leaders are falling all over themselves to have a dialogue with a man who unabashedly calls for the destruction of Israel and believes Auschwitz was a myth,” Hier concluded.
Here is another one from 2005 - Taken from the BBC website, but I am guessing you will dismiss this one too?

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/middle_east/4527142.stm

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has courted further controversy by explicitly calling the Nazi Holocaust of European Jewry a "myth".

"They have created a myth today that they call the massacre of Jews and they consider it a principle above God, religions and the prophets," he said.

On live TV, he called for Europe or North America - even Alaska - to host a Jewish state, not the Middle East.
I suppose it is time you should perhaps take your own advice and try to be balance in your approach? Just a thought. smiley

How am I trying to pass propaganda? For saying I heard comments from Ahmadenjaid that suggest or could be interpreted as holocaust denial?  shocked

Again my not wanting to engage in a lengthy debate over issues of middle east/Iran/Israel/US is a sign of misinformation and lack of knowledge. undecided Far from it, I just can't be tied down as these sort of debates never go away - something you appeared to have started already, by refusing to see where am coming from and claiming I know nothing about the issue at hand. Okay sir. You see, it will just go on and on, hence why I wan cut am short and sharp sharp.

You said I should use a balanced view right? I think you will find that it is what I am doing exactly. The phrase "that will suggest. . . " is nothing but a summery of what I heard and how I perceive things.

I will not use a phrase like "this proves that" etc as it from what I heard him say and based on my analysis, I am of the belief that what Iran's president did say can be seen as Holocaust denial, however given the fact that their are history and what not all attached to it, hence why I resulted to using phrase like "this will suggest". It is my view and to be frank, my view only. It is not a representation of what others think. smiley

Anyway Ikomi, before we lose it, I think you will find that there is a link between Iran and Hamas, and Iran's president and the denial of holocaust.  smiley
