Foreign AffairsArizona Immigration Law. Necessary Or Bad Law? by ElRazur(op): 8:25am On Apr 24, 2010
With the Arizona governor signing the new immigration law that allows anyone suspected to be an immigrant to produce an identification of some kind to prove their identity [and possibly if they are legally in the US or not.] what will be the indication for this sort of law?

The bill was protested by people who are perceived as immigrant - Mexican et al, and Obama have criticised the law as a stupid law or something along those lines. What implication does this have for racial profiling? I am not so sure how the police are perceived in Arizona, but could this be a law that most places in the world need to embrace so as to stem the flow of illegal immigrants and hence prevent them for depleting the limited resources available?

What ever the case, is this a good law and what are the implications?

Here is a quote from someone on twitter who appears to be in support of it:

" Congrats to Jan Brewer GOV of Arizona for passing a bill that should be passed by all states! If you don't come legal then GO!!!"

And for the details, please read here.

CelebritiesRe: "i Pay My Girlfriend Salary Every Month" Timaya by ElRazur: 7:41am On Apr 24, 2010
I don't know if this have been mentioned, but his statement highlights a deep rooted feeling of insecurity and naiveness. Why will you want to pay someone because you are trying to keep other men off? Smacks of insecurity to me.

huh

Stuff like this reinforces the belief that women are treated as second class citizen in Nigeria and Africa. What is wrong with her making her own money as it gives her sense of empowerment, achieving something in life, fulfilment etc, I am not sure Timaya realises this, but he is practically taking all of these away from her. This is not real love, this is stupidity. smiley
Music/RadioRe: Latest Sensation Nigerian Slumdog Vocal Slender Making Waves Worldwide by ElRazur: 7:28am On Apr 24, 2010
I don't think it is about been famous. Fame do not pay the bill. It is about how good one is, the deal available, the money to be made and the potentials to be exploited. Tupac knew this from way back hence why he said "phhuck the fame and give me the money".

Yes fame helps, but it can be done without it. The world's billionaire are not even known or famous.

As for Vocal Slender, I wish him all the best of luck, clearly he deserves to be successful and I really don't mind working with him. If you ever venture on this forum and see this, contact me please. My services are free. smiley

PoliticsRe: Expired Milk Administered On Secondary School Students by ElRazur: 7:18am On Apr 24, 2010
I don't know what the fuss is about. Expiry date are debatable and do not mean the food are bad or rotten. If anything, they are just guidelines and not a true reflection of the state of the food.

Depending on the kind of packaging system that was used, i.e if it was a long life milk and sealed, then there is nothing wrong with it. Sealed food are known to last for years after their so called expiry date. Having said that, it will be interesting to see what method of packaging was used for the Milk. smiley

he was alive for A WHOLE WEEKKKKK. If anything he could have come out of the coma with proper hospital care.
People can be in coma for more than a week, it do not necessarily mean it equates to survival. Having said that, I am one of the few people that will question the level of care he received. smiley
HealthRe: Dagrin And The State Of Healthcare In Nigeria by ElRazur: 7:10am On Apr 24, 2010
@Krayola,

Using the little knowledge I was taught in forensic science, I swear one can point various fingers to a lot of issues, but ultimately the most fingers comes back to Da Grin. Below is one of the replies I posted on my facebook about his death:

", Also, as much as it may hurts if the reports of drink driving are true, that needs to be highlighted for people to see what it can do to people's life. Not only is he gone, but he is causing us all pain. I do not know him as a person, but I am hurt and imagine what his families, girlfriend, record label, friends etc will all be feeling?"

You also mentioned the car been may not be new, i.e have previous accident and then fixed and sold off. I really think it can go both ways, the air quality in Lagos is very bad and known to be Arid, hence when the internals of the car are exposed to elements of the weather, they appear to get rusty quickly and hence give that nasty brown colour that may perhaps suggest it is not brand new, just a thought.

The health care he received, with all due respect is very questionable. While as a result of the crash, he may look okay with minor bruises and what not, he may actually have massive internal injury. One example, that was sighted by Davidylan was "Aneurysm". This is something I was working on as of last week etc, so yeah it does make a bit of sense - Basically, it is a form of internal damage that the body tries to fix, but then the process of fixing end up blocking up a vital artery say in this case, the one leading to the brain thereby causing stroke or even death.

Alternatively, he may he internal bleeding that may not be obvious on the outside and this will eventually led to low blood pressure which will shut him down. These things are all internal stuff and he may look fine on the outside.

In this kind of case, I will be looking at a full body scan, monitoring his blood pressure, CTScan for cranial and possible neck injury. Giving the fact that he's been drinking [apparently] may require a kind of planned approach to what pain killer he is given - Alcohol and some pain killers can result in death etc. From the little I know of the case, these will be some of the sort of things I may be looking at.

Alternatively, just fly him out of the country. If it is good enough for our leaders, it is good enough for Da grin.

Personally, this incident just goes to show how some of the upcoming stars and established stars may perhaps not have the right approach to dealing with fame. Ideally, a sort of Life Insurance or Accident Insurance should be and option for some of these people to look at. Also, personal assistant and body guard may perhaps be one of the things these artist need to look at. From the way I see it, if DaGrin had life insurance, he may have been flown out for better treatment, better still, if he had a personal staff or body guard with him, he may not have been driving and who knows what would have happen?

What ever the case, Rest in peace my man. I just hope your death will be a positive lesson for those who are in this sort of industry and are prone to such risk.

I think they all signed an agreement where no one is treated over the other etc, including the use of visual tricks in the studios i.e focusing too much on one person than other etc.

Is it me or Gordon is just saying the same thing over and over again - Economy and Jobs. huh

I think there is a point on the Referendum issue. People should be given the choice IMO to decide if they want us in there or not.

So far, I am not sure Gordon Brown speech is captivating, the same old story of how he will build economy and how he is the man. Dave's a bit predictable too, but Nick is coming in from a different and refreshing angle, I am not sure if that will win people over. Over all, everyone of them look more composed than last time.

Lol. Funny thread.

Kosovo, you can understand why people take a snipe at you for your post. It sometimes feel like just too much of a coincidence that what you post is word for word from somewhere else.

There is nothing wrong with giving props and credit to where it is taken from. It takes nothing away from you.

And on balance, I can understand and see why the thread was locked initially, but perhaps looking at it on hindsight now, it was probably not a good idea.

Hopefully, the two of you will get along soon. wink

@Elrazur & OMO IBO

The Rupert Murdoch Press (The Sun, Sky News & The Times) are trying to undermine Nick Clegg, the Rupert Murdoch press are so desperate for David Cameron to win by all means, they remind me of the Republicans, they knw how to fight dirty. They are throwing the kitchen sink at him. Mr Clegg is virtually on all the front pages of the press, they want Labour out neither do they want a hung parliament, the Conservatives are desperados, I hope the British public are not buying into it. They have a coalition government in Germany and they have the best financial markets in Europe. It's shocking that the Rupert Murdoch Press (News Cor) weigh so much power in the British Media despite the fact tht he is not eligible to vote,

The Daily Telegraph have him on their page to, the same paper whose reporter apparently found documents linking George Galloway to oil in Iraq, it later turned out the documents were forged and the court asked them to pay a large sum to him. Fingers crossed for Mr Clegg tonight,
Politics is a dirty game.

From the reports, it suggest the conservatives are apparently behind the smear campaign. Having said that, it appears Nick have managed to clear his name by printing the bank details to show money in and money out etc. It will be interesting to see how the debate will go.

OMO IBO
Those folks will print anything to sell newspapers. Remember, internet have taken a high chunk of their readers so I am not really surprised. As it stand, Lib Dem have my vote. I pray the other two wobble tonight.

By the way, did you hear the joke [or could it be true] that the wife of Dave is already planning their move to 10 Downing street? Lol.

Krayola,

Dunno if you tried the following:

Turn down the level of effects.

Reduce/increase buffer in the ASIO settings.

Turn off all effects, but leave only the one you want to monitor. Also, it may be worth doing it without running other applications in the background.

Finally, next time buy a Quad-core phenom II or i5 pc. [Optional] grin

I suppose when you presented your so called facts and it is swiftly shown to be nothing but misconception, why won't you go to the extent of claiming I am arguing blindly blah blah blah, it is called "running out of steam"

It sucks really. You judge newspapers based on the headlines alone and not the content right? Very excellent logic.

smiley

Please point out where I have stated The Sun is left wing? Perhaps I am not seeing it. smiley

I suppose people like you go around thinking they are been victimised and "society against them because they are foreigners" etc. Nice.

Instead of your ad hominem tactics, perhaps show me and for the benefit of those who may be reading that the UK media is right wing like you have claimed all along. smiley Oh let's not forget Europe too. smiley

Sir, once again you are misinforming. The original article was "Ban the Burkha?" and not Ban the Burka. It was a debate in relation to the incident that happened in France. People aired their views for and against. So I really do not know what is right wing about this one.

huh

IMMIGRANTS STEAL UK JOBS

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/article2041493.ece
Again headlines used to sell newspaper here. The news report was based on a report that suggest so. It do not mean it is true as there are other report that shows the benefit of immigration to the UK economy etc.

Overall, I think you are letting the sensationalism get to you and perhaps you may want to read the actual story to get an idea of what is actually been said. smiley
Foreign AffairsRe: Uk Election On May 6; With Polls by ElRazur: 1:41pm On Apr 11, 2010
You are making the same classic mistake. I.e buying into the headlines. Please read the story and suddenly, it all makes sense. smiley

A quick read on the immigration story shows what I suspected i.e Using headlines to sell newspapers. Something you appear to have missed.

Also the headlines about Muslims been killed. If you noticed, the original headlines was in quotes. [" "] meaning it is open to translation and should not been taken as a direct translation. But in your post, you left this out. Your post and the headlines are two different meaning. I.e you are still misinforming.

Also in the same article, there is a balance, something you missed out " "Encouraging children and young people in a game to kill Muslims is unacceptable, tasteless and deeply offensive."

He urged internet service providers to remove the game from the web."

Surely, you are just trying to paint them bad now? And those are the one I looked at quickly.
