Ikomi, I am not willing to engage in lengthy debate. No vex, I will make it sharp sharp. Iran's president did give comments that will suggest he is denying Holocaust. That I am sure off. It is widely reported that Hamas get easy access with areas where Iran have control over, be it politically or geographically. Again, this have been mentioned before - Also, the US have cited this in their intelligence reports that end up in the public domain. I am guessing you will claim this is the propaganda am falling for. I personally stay away from this as it will never be ending, but in relation to your original statement as per what Frosbel said, I am certain he [Iran's president] did say those things. ![]() Oh I forget to add, the reason I mentioned the killing in Dubai is that Hama's chief was allegedly reported to be tricked into buying arms from Iran etc. My point is that, if you dig deep it is clear to see that Iran are most likely supporting hamas. I think that is the point I was trying to pass across that you may have missed. |
But then Kobo, the argument that there are existing laws to deal with crimes and controlled border entry. . . What do you say to that? |
MandingoII:Police in the UK can stop and ask me all they want all day. I have nothing to hide. However, all I requested is been given a paper that says I have been stopped, search etc plus reasons as to why. If america adopts something along these lines, I really do not see how it is an issue. People who have issues with it and shout racism are probably the one without papers and yes, some rogue elements in the police force will use it as a cover for their possible racism. It is life and let's face the facts. |
MandingoII:It is human nature to dislike someone at first sight. It is human nature to suspect someone etc. If you think profiling is a form of racism, what do you say to the example given my TayoD? |
redsun:But we cannot allow modern day immigration to carry on without checks. I have no problem with migrants, but please have the right papers. It makes life easy and better for us all. Besides, these immigrants do not have to live like 2nd class citizen in my opinion. |
@Ikomi That he denied holocaust at a meeting of nations that led to several delegates from the EU walking out? Well, he claimed the holocaust is an exaggeration, that in itself is a form of denial. As per your enabling terrorist, I think you should find out who trains, arms and allows Hama to proliferate outside Israel and palastine. I think you should look up some of the reported [alleged] reasons why their leader was killed in Dubai. I think time and time again, Iran will come up on these issues. |
This issue is already been discussed in the Foregin section, but with a twist of seriousness. Anyone who wishes to make a meaningful contribution can check the thread out here: https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-436083.0.html Tayo D made a very strong case for, I am not so sure if it is easy to argue against. ![]() |
Thanks all for your inputs. Tayo D, that was some thought provoking illustration with the Hausa man, Catholic priest and a child that needs minding. Personally, I have tried to see the both sides and whilst, it may appear to be a pretty straightforward law i.e if you have nothing to hide, then you have nothing to worry about. I think this may just allows the police some sort borderline excessive power in my opinion. I think I read a few comments from Rev Alsharpton and he made mention of how it is just a law that have made Racial profiling legal. From certain perspective, it will appear that he's got a point, but my lack of racial profiling on american soil is handicapping my comments and view to be honest. Looking or acting suspicious is not alway a good enough reason for police to stop people over here, however, there are laws that some how by passes this. For example the police can stop any one they want with the new terror law introduced as 2000 and something or so. What I am saying is that this sort of law literally allows the police over here to stop anyone looking like your typical "Tv muslim" i.e long beards, Michael Jackson-type trouser length and with an middle eastern look. So people who are Pakistani, Afghanistani etc bear the brunt of these from the police here sometimes. As with the US, this may perhaps give rise to the same issue where people who looked like immigrant may be subjected to searches, questioning etc that borderlines harassment. In fact, some few elements of the law who are racist, will probably use this as a cover to express their racism and trying to say they are doing their jobs etc. I think those are some of the issues I have with laws like this. While, I can see that it will be of good benefits when properly done, I am left to worry about the possible outcomes if things are not done the way they are supposed to. Again, one can just easily say if you have nothing to hide and aint illegal, then you have nothing to worry about. ![]() |
Saga Omo all I need is holiday from next week, a brand new pad, a bucket of KFC and your arse is mine. All these talk of turenchi is non-sense. Una suppose take una beef to pro evo. So Pataki wetin you say now? Come make we prove proper intelligence for Pro evo. All these Nairaland bickering na shakara. I reckon, I will beat you and saga all day long. ![]() @Topic, Me I dey happy for how them portray life in the slums in Lagos. If offers an insight to something we really do not see everyday. I wish all those who participated in it the best of luck in life. |
![]() Una sleep with una woman for each other's back? On a serious level, why the deliberate attack on Saga? At least, na so me I see am. The point you raised have been answered, but e be like say there is more than meet the eye sha. Make una get along jare. I am still looking to flog you too on pro evo Alhaji Pataki. ![]() |
frosbel:Please stick it to these weirdos jare. ![]() Some people really need to get a cure up from the "Nigeria, Giant of Africa" disease and syndrome they suffer from. Thank you Dr Frosbell for giving them the right treatment. ![]() |
Haaa Sagamite my twin brother from another mother. Kai, This is why I love you. Just setting all these weird logic post straight with your replies. **Hugs** PS I will still damage you for pro evo though. Actually, I am your daddy when it comes to Pro lol.PPS No point adding to this thread other than enjoy it from the side line. Anyone comparing Slums in Canada, Britain, Yankee to Las Gidi needs to be shot with a shakabula from a close range. ![]() |
Choco5:Yes I am. I am mourning and as such I am seeing things that should have been done differently. All the cases you highlighted are people who have complications and are old. On the other hand, Da Grin appears healthy and no known medical condition. Also, it may be worth noting that IF he's been flown out, he stands a better chance. Gosh. |
@Arkines Medical and emergency flights were allowed. A little girl going for some surgery was allowed to pass the ban if I remember correctly. Besides, there are other places they could have taken him to outside the EU. |
@Eldee I can't tell you how much the thing dey freaking pain me. The doctors strike may be another contributory factor, but then my logic is telling me shouldn't his management be looking at flying him out of the country. For crying out loud, he was breathing and what not for a week you know. The more I think about it, the more I just wanna blame someone I swear. Record labels should have insurance to look after their own asset man. Remember when Kanu had the heart problem - same thing that killed Samuel Okpwaraji - Arsenal made sure he had the best treatment and footed all the bills, including his rehabilitation. If the president can fly out, it is good enough for Da Grin to do the same. When will our people learn that it ain't all about money, money, money. Omo I am vex man. Last time I felt like this was the when Pac and MJ died. |
arkinses:None taken. I am mourning myself and I guess deep down I am looking for someone to blame. It is just human nature man. No one like to lose what they like or in this case adore. When people like this dies, it is hard to find a replacement for them. He is amongst your Tupac, MJ, Bob Marley etc. No one can come close to Da grin with his take on hiphop IMO. So you can see how painful it is to see him go just like that. There is no justice in the world man, he is only 23. |
@Arkiness, what are you talking about? Who says he isn't true to himself etc. Please read my post again. Your post have no relevance to what I posted. ![]() |
If Lalaboy raised similar issues, that is good enough for me. At least, I am not alone in reasoning this way. Da Grin case should be a text model of how any upcoming artist really do not coaching and guidance. It hurts me to think he is gone man. |
You have to love that first verse, everthing just flowed well well like pure water. I love it. Hooked on that first verse lol. |
That is good. I really wish he gets all his monies and pay off for that incident and then some more for him to do his own thing. |
. . . . is a man who is so desperate and under-pressure that he would say anything, even if it makes no sense. |
arkinses:I can understand his passing away is painful to us all, but can the record label stop manufacturing poo for us to digest. It is widely reported, he was drunk [allegedly], yet they are now saying he is going to a recording session. . . . For real? Like 2-3am in the morning? I know people do this, but I am not sure anyone is buying this. Also, reports claimed he died of Heart attack, and trust me, someone who suffers an Cardiac or Ischaemic attack will not be thinking of fans. It hurts me that I have to say these things, but the record label and those around him should stop insulting our intelligence. If the reports of him Driving whilst drunk are true, let it be used to warn people of the effect of drink driving, it will do more good than trying to tell things that a lot of people perceive as lies. ![]() Da'Grin, please rest in peace and come back soon, preferably, in my life time. |
I love ram fighting. I used to got to "Yidi" in Ilorin [Kwara state] to watch them fight during the Muslim festive period. As per calling this animal cruelty, I think you will find that what is good for the goose is probably not good for the gander when it comes to comparing Nigeria and advanced countries on this issues. ![]() |
LWKMD. God punish your mouth. ![]() |
Pweety4me:Something happened behind the screen?? lol. Anyway, thanks. I wanna say that about you too, but have to give me a reason. lwkmd. Just post a photo in your profile or something. ![]() |
Pweety4me:If you are Princess Fiona by day and remains so by sunset, no worries. ![]() |
luizworld:I am sure ladies like the shy one. They like to use and abuse them. Lucky you. ![]() @Ayettymama, Yes churches are one of the places to find good looking and probably decent ladies. I am not religious, but I will go with my experience. ![]() |
It is okay P4M, even Princess Fionna found her Shrek in the end. ![]() |
@luizworld Well, I don't know about you. I am not coming for the ladies, I am coming because it is an opportunity for me to meet some of the people from here, socialise and just have fun day. It is just an internet meet. If I were you and am looking for ladies, I will fix up, look sharp and hit the streets, clubs and church. ![]() |
