Mmmbop:I heard everyone have a stalker at some point. It is best to ignore them. Ignore them long enough and they fade away. In the mean time, I am picking up a Cubase 5 and Native Instrument Maschine today. ![]() PS Sorry Krayola, I had to pick the Cubase over Pro tools. ![]() |
I have it played about 6 times or so now. It is a good track, but I am still trying to get my head round the auto tune. ![]() |
Why do they have to spoil it with the auto tune? The beat sounds nice and the melody feels good, but why spoil it with autotune? It just makes it feel like "another naija song". ![]() I think it will sound better without the auto-tune. |
benz190:Oh please. OP She may just need to brush some more - twice a day and use a powerful mouth wash. Also encourage her to brush her tongue and cheeks [most mouth-odour bacteria lives here]. Finally, it will be a good idea to get her to chew sugar free mints [not sugary chewing gum]. If that do not work, she may have slight throat infection and can be cleared up with the use of minor antibiotics - but just don't use any antibiotics as it can be counter productive. [See a doctor and do not self-prescribe drugs or medication] |
@Richy. Point noted. ![]() |
My post is on topic and add to the thread at hand. Unlike you, I do not talk trash, and that you find hard to deal with it. Perhaps you should take you own advice and quit posting trash in every thread? Just a thought. In the mean time, you may want to check out this book it can be helpful http://www.amazon.co.uk/Mixing-Mastering-Leonard-Recording-Method/dp/1423430530/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1269586077&sr=8-1-fkmr0 |
Before you run your trash talk again, pause for a second and actually understand my post. As with most beat making, there are elements of mixing. I.e pan some stuff to the left, right or dead centre. Add a certain level of reverb, delay, etc. These are just basics of beat making. Surely, if you are teaching people how to make beats this are just some of the basics and must know? Besides, I contributed to the thread, but as usual you will rather talk trash instead. Good luck. |
Oh please. You practically lead the congregation. ![]() |
Arrrrghhhh must you blame? Here, blame the white man. Once you do, it will make everything go away. |
I am confused here, begging in Saudi is been dealt with in Nigeria? Also what is the news about NNN have to do with this? Pardon me as am still in bed. Oh prostitution is everywhere, including the so called Holy cities. |
Hard to disagree with Ikengawo's post. That one na proper true talk. |
Richy you let me down joo. You no longer worship at the backside of seun, why you no call a spade, a spade? Lol. |
Blame the white man, seun and kosovo. Also blame madam tpia too. What a yeye thread. |
I wonder what the Op qualifications are. |
slimshay:So you agree he is not the new kid on the block. I guess my point stand then. Sorry sir. If you dont like his style, just leave it at that. All this not new kid on the block, popularity, attention grabbing schitzo aint coming across really.Next time, I will just pretend and not post my own view. I hope that is good enough for you. |
The first idea of mixing is to visualise where the arrangement of the instruments are. For example, a drum track should be mixed and panned the same way a real drum will look like. I.e Kicks in the middle, snare on the right, hi hats on the left etc. With the addition of more tracks it gets tricky, but one will need to play around with this and find a working formula. In my case, I have found that "spreading out the tracks" on the pan and mix levels helps a lot. Mastering requires a different approach. After finalising the mix down, the tracks are usually exported to a mastering suite where they are further improved on i.e converting from 44.1hz to say 96. This will make some of the oscillating synth etc sound punchier and better, and then mixed down and panned accordingly, this is my understanding, but I am yet to give this section a hands on approach. On top of that, you need good ears and good equipment. No point having doing a mix down or mastering if all you have is an ipod earphone or something basic. |
I thought your class on how to make beats should at least cover this? Right. The mask is starting to slip off right? **The street is watching** |
da-whizkid:Did you not get the Ruggedman example I gave? What I meant to say by the way wa " He just do not feel like the NEW kid on the block no more" Here, let me clear a few things up. I am not saying he is not good. I am not saying he cannot rap. However, his Popularity or the attention he grabbed is not as before any more in my opinion. You know he is like LL cool J, where you know he is still on the rap scene, but he is not the new kid generating buzz like before. His rapping stlye - sorta like rhyming through his nose - I find that particular style boring after a while as you can tell what comes on next. |
