IgweIgweIgwe:I would love to condense that chapter of his book here but that'll take too much of my time. Get the book, you won't regret it. It's not expensive. |
Very soon she'll question why women have to be the ones to carry pregnancy for 9months and why can't men share by carrying the pregnancy for at least four and half months too. ![]() This one has lost her way. |
IgweIgweIgwe:There was a country is a highly biased account of what went down during the Biafran war. It was written by an Igbo man who from all indications and utterances showed a great tribal bias against Nigeria in general and Yorubas in particular. Why don't you get the book written by General Alabi Isama. He was at the forefront of the war and had hundreds of war pictures which he took himself in his book. His book is titled "The Tragedy of Victory". Yes, he is Yoruba, but I can assure you his book addressed all the ills of the war. His disdain for general Olusegun Obasanjo is very visible in that book. If you want an unbiased version of the war, go read it. I have read it more than a dozen times getting new insights each time. |
It's so obvious that a lot of Igbos on this forum feel pained that Buhari seems to be honoring Yorubas by declaring June 12 as the new democracy day while May 30 and the Biafran jingle are still outlawed. I understand that most of them who have commented negatively were either not born during the June 12 struggle or were babies still sucking breasts. June 12 has always been an open sore on the nation's conscience. For those who were not born then, almost all Nigerians from all tribes and religious persuasion voted for MKO. So, this is a victory for us all irrespective of tribe or religion. I don't expect the tribalists to understand this. |
IgweIgweIgwe:Are you sure about that cos I've heard differently. Guess it depends on which version you choose to believe. |
PointZerom:Why are you asking me? I'm sure your elders have regaled you of their bravery during the war. Or are you actually asking for the correct version of that story? |
AwolowoAssLicker:I'm sure your ancestors that were casualties during the war are always on standby to stroke your ego and answer your foolish questions. So go right away and ask them. Don't be shy. |
conyema12:Mumu. People who run from a fight are heroes in your place right? Cowards! Berra get lost. Oponu. Who are the ones begging for freedom? Slaves calling other people slaves. |
AwolowoAssLicker:Question for the gods. Why don't you ask Ifa? |
conyema12:Dumb comment. I'm sure it's paining you ba? Still waiting for an apology for the war that took the lives of your grandparents? You'll grow white whiskers waiting. |
IgweIgweIgwe:The greed of Ojukwu caused the civil war. His over ambitiousness and strong headedness. |
Good. Now we can bury the ghost of the past. Now we can forge ahead. I hope MKO Abiola's name will be on the list of past presidents of this country. Very good move. Now if only Buhari would deal decisively with the herdsmen menace and have them all brought to justice as well as begin an earnest conviction of past corrupt officials, I'll sing his praise day in day out. |
Always looking for people who will apologize to them while Biafra is gathering dust. |
scholes0:Wrong. Glory is ogo in Yoruba. |
lilbest4:Are you a homosexual? Cos I'm not and you are bashing up the wrong tree. You think you are God's gift to women abi? You think if you don't marry them someone else won't? I wonder what calibre of men are being raised these days. Men who wouldn't mind sharing housekeeping expenses with their wives as long as they get to also do half of the dishes in the kitchen. God save this generation. It's okay if the wife helps out, even recommended. But for the man to think it's his right to expect his wife to fund the family is an anomaly. If the man is the head of the house then he should act like so. I don't even know why I'm even arguing this sh1t with you. Have a good day. I'm done. |
Wonders shall never cease. |
lilbest4:Lol. I hope you're not planning to get married yet o. You'd better not go into marriage with that kind of mentality. You want the respect of your family? Provide for them. When you go to her parents' house to ask for her hand in marriage, you are basically telling them that you will take care of their daughter. If you can't better stay clear off the institution of marriage and have yourself castrated.(no offence). So like I said, man the fvck up and stop whining. |
lilbest4:You don't want to man up but you want your woman and children to treat you like the man of the house. It doesn't work that way. Men shoulder their responsibilities without complaints, boys whimper and whine at every obstacle that comes their way. |
Na beauty contest dem dey go? If dey like make dem no bring back that cup o. |
femi4:No you are wrong and she's right Saworo is bell in Yoruba. Saworo ide means brass bells. So a drum can be decorated with saworo ide, brass bells. |
Treasuredlove:My pleasure. |
Treasuredlove:Get him the Talking Drum, Gangan. He'll really appreciate it. |
Great culture, beautiful people. Yoruba ni wa o swagger.
|
naijacentric:That's the point I'm trying to make. I've known Sowore since the days of Abacha. He was the foremost Nigerian student that fought the military to a standstill while people like Tinubu were hiding in the US. If a better candidate shows up I'll consider him or her no matter where he or she is from |
Twerker aye. |
*Quote*Even when my salary was only 5k years ago , I never asked any dude for money ♀️*Unquote* Good Girl!!
Prolly because she's a princess from Ondo state. Any man who married should know he's got responsibilities. He should shut the eff up, stop complaining and man the eff up. If your woman doesn't ask you for money who should? And when I say woman i mean wife and not gf. So she's wrong on that count. My opinion. |
Mayrock:This is lazy man's thinking. But then you are entitled to your opinion. And you are also entitled to ONE vote. Good luck with your vote. |
naijacentric:I'm not sure I understand your question? If you are asking why supporting a candidate from the Southern part of Nigeria then you haven't even begun to tax your mind. Ask yourself, if somebody from a minority tribe can make Nigeria one of the greatest countries ever would you vote for that somebody? |
Ugosample:The cost of governance is too high yet you insist that we need a bicameral legislature. I'm sure you know that Nigerian legislators are the highest paid in the world or thereabout. Nigeria may be the most populous nation in the world but no we don't need a bicameral legislature. Elect more into the house of reps but scrap the Senate. That's my opinion. |
This is what I call cringe worthy news. I wonder where that girl is now. Most girls will turn to gymnasts in bed once they smell money on you. What a shame. |
naijacentric:But you trust people like Fayose, Saraki and Dino Melaye right? Ride on. |
StaffofOrayan:I just weak my brother. I no even know wetin to type. Now I understand how it's possible for a government to pocket 16Billion dollars of public fund and get away with it. The youths of Nigeria are dull. Too dull. |
