I can't help it but laugh aloud.. Sure, the claimed lion of Ubima is seen as an outcast and perceived with utmost disdain in Rivers state and Niger Delta in general. Amaechi's political and social future is highly endangered why APC should as a matter of morale obligation empower this man with the purpose of winning back the heart of his people. Anything less an S.G.F will make him the biggest loser. Amaechi's grudge with Jonathan is harped on the fact that he wanted to run as V.P to either Kwankwaso or any northern candidate in the PDP in the event of G.E.J not recontesting. This calculation caused the crisis and the defection that followed, but they had to swallow their pill with APC knowing that public perception on them will be negative should they fail to be accorded accordingly. Now, he had played a very prominent role in defeating his fellow kinsman out of arrogance and vendetta and his people may not forget this in a hurry. He was denied the V.P slot by Tinubu even after bankrolling PMB campaign pre and post ApC primaries.. What then can justify Amaechi's treachery? You can call the judiciary by any name but the needful had just been done and I sincerely think any sane clan which deserve respect should treat her citizen with respect. If you call your dog a bad name to hang it then don't complain when your leaders are treated with scorn and disdain e.g unwarranted wait of the president-elect at downing street.. Kashamu maybe in reality guilty but for competent British court to have freed him twice on same allegation and prosecution which America and her Nigerian allied on political vindictive mission are bent on reopening is least unfortunate. I weep for our sense of honour and the protection of our badly damaged reputation due to the collective slavery mentality of our people especially our leaders. My question is can America do same for Nigeria had the reverse been the case? The ans is hell NO. Hence, as a nation, we should not allow such injustice and demeaning of our collective honour let our own down at the alter of political expediency. If Kashamu is guilty may his God or god judge him right but going to U.S will not guarantee him a fair hearing rather the American government should hold her prosecutors liable for ineptitude( Bakassi Pennisula case comes to mind) |

I had wished a labour comeback but now my wish for them had just reached another crescendo not just because Chuka Chucks could make history through it but because it has given more foreigners opportunity to excel in a rather more traditional British style politics. If we must move forward as a nation, we must learn to be real and be corrigible to commend when necessary and as well criticise when demands suggest. Nigeria was persistently among top ten(10) most corrupt all thru Abacha down to Obasanjo days( who is now a mantra and navigator of APC) despite his much publicised anti-corruption war which were more vindictive and political witch hunting. This article is full of facts. I never knew this lady is this intelligent. I had underated her as one of those privileged thieves who misfortune of bad governance as navigated by Obasanjo trusted on us but reading this article has changed my opinion about her as someone whose talent was fallow on the alter of defending what she believed(I.e her party and govt.) To the topic, Muazu as a matter of principle and morale ought to resign to give room for unbiased assessment of the party and her sojourn in the past 16years. What are these people saying? Are they asking for a halt to the mechanism of government before May 29 all because they are poised and overtly ambitious to occupy these vacancies as APC loyalists? Sorry to burst your bubbles, the president shall continue to discharge his legitimate duties until after the handover ceremony on May 29. Wonder why APC has been crying blue murder because the president is leaving no vacuum in theze departments and agencies. In agencies like Port Authority and Petroleum Equalization Fund, the M.D's tenure had since elapsed but for the distraction s of the election. If the president contravenes the constitution in these appointment then I will join e very reasonable voice at criticism but the hysterism being displayed by APC on this subject is the leeast most immature and betrayal of their interest/ pain. Hmmmmmmm. OP nice one. I have heard many stuffs and don't now what to believe. Got an Mbaise lady and she had been my best friend and love for 2 years. I was a bit distrusted to know she is Mbaise. I have been observing her and trying to see thebad sides but keep being disappointed. I doubt if she is pretending. The qualities enumerated by the OP are true of these people. Very hardworking, self reliant and not impressed by frivolities. I believe my girl but can't say about her family. The pride price is an issue for most young upcoming guys and I hope the elders and custodians of their culture review their stand on that but that shouldn't be enough reason not to marry the one you love and believed she is your future. He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains God's favour. As enlightened people we should eschew this generalization and stereotypism.
