CrimeRe: Reps Reject Castration As Punishment For Rapists by Elvis778(m): 5:52pm On Jun 04, 2020
daddycrazy:
When you castrate a man, you've effectively robbed him of what makes him a man. the body will cease manufacturing testosterone hormones. Testosterone is what causes desire, rage, and other manly emotions in men. Without testosterone, a man becomes effeminate, and completely subservient.

Basically, a castrated man is harmless. Which is why, some western countries mandates sex defenders to be chemically castrated for a period of time. It's the only way it can be guaranteed they won't harm anyone.
LOL @a castrated man is harmless, he might turn into a weakling, can't fight and all that, but sure he can handle a gun, and can blow off people's brains....use your head.... the western world don't castrate, they just tune down your sexual urge chemically, because if you call it castration, then it cannot be reversed. you should understand the meaning of castration, "Removal of the testicles"
castration is barbaric...

. I CAN‘T Imagine a woman raping a Man successfully. It‘s just not possible. Rape is when one forces the oposite sex to submit to have sexual intercourse under duress. Usually, the rapist must as a matter of fact overpower the rapee. I mean, just think about this Sir. Can any man can really metain a rock-stiff erection under any form of intimidation or threat to penetrate a woman? Hell NO.
To me, for a woman to rape a man is:-
1) Practically impossible.
2) Basically illogical AND
3) Personally unacceptible.
You've never heard of statutory rape??

Proper investigation and hard evidence kills the possibility of any new evidence.
What if the rapist is not castrated and the only new evidence that turns out is him raping another person?
Don't talk like you are in the movie, a desperate rich lady can easily influence any rape case in Nigeria, especially if the guy is not too rich

Zoie:
People who claim that castration is not a good sentence for a rapist because of false claims of rape by disgruntled women, easily forget the place of forensics /medical reports.
A woman who is raped, on examination, the Instruments will always show signs of a forceful penetration.
Medical records is an evidence in itself to nail any rapist in jail.
So just stop talking nonsense.
don't be biased, we have seen many cases where an innocent man spend years in prison only for the truth to come out later....it happens...
medical reports? in Nigeria? a lady with cash can easily bribe a medical practitioner to alter the results, bribe the judge to rule in her favour, women can be very desperate in their quest for revenge so castration is totally ruled out....if it should be adopted, then I will say they also rule death sentence for false accusation...

the male won't have sexual urges anymore

joyandfaith:
how can rapists make law to castrate rapists.
rape - castration or hormonal castration for female.
all rape reports should be assumed to be true until proven otherwise.
true until proven otherwise?? very stupid idea,
with such, so many innocent guys are going to be castrated, released back to the society,
do you know what that means? chaos, cuz they will all come back for revenge...that means increased murder... increased criminal activities....so are you going to choose terror in a bid to tackle rape?
CrimeRe: Reps Reject Castration As Punishment For Rapists by Elvis778(m): 4:40pm On Jun 04, 2020

It's already a thing in the western world, albeit a chemical castration.
the truth is, when you castrate a man and release him to the public,
you just made a monster.....he has nothing to loose, he will go on a crime spree...when you have like 30 of such men, bro, the country is gone.

Whats the need when there's no single football team around Enugu-ezike and Nsukka?

Misplaced priorities by gburugburu
Enugu Ezike is not part of Nsk LGA....
and for your information, we have lots of organized football teams here, each team represents a particular village, we play tournaments from time to time, though it was halted cuz of the project...

that's a school stadium, federal government property..

am sure you don't even know we have organized football teams and lots of tournaments in Nsk

Why a stadium in Nsukka. There's an abandoned world class stadium in UNN. Can't the governor partner with the university to complete that one. Rather than embark on another one. Who is advising Ugwuanyi
that's a state government project, UNN is a federal university, state cannot partner with FG university for any project in the University...the only thing Ugwuanyi can do is to build one for his people, by himself, using state funds, he is doing the right thing because we so much need that stadium, do you know how many inconveniences football tournaments face down here just because our field is not organized? infact, the local government almost sold off that spot, if not for the governor that condemned the act and asked the chairman to refund the cash he collected from the buyer, that was before he started this project........

Yea, you are right,
That's why I always say that our problem is not just the government,
We are part of our own problem, what we need as a country is reorientation and also change of leadership,
if we settle for just changing leaders, am afraid, things might not get any better.

We keep playing this blame game. Nigeria is shitty, yes we know. What have you done to fix it? Probably nothing.

If you feel the government is taking a wrong turn, then protest for what is right. How long do we keep talking?

China is under a heavy protest as a result of the unbearable law enacted by their government. Life would never come to you, you step out and take it.

Protesting is the only power democratic citizens have. Don't let them take your power away from you.
ThankGod you used the word "Democratic"
Now let me ask,
Are we in a democratic government?
How many peaceful protests against the government have been successful since the last 5 years? Non, all of them always end up in shootouts and loss of life...how many of us are ready to loose our life for this shitty government? For me I can't do that, can you?

EducationRe: Afe Babalola: How FG Can Reopen Schools, Universities Within Four Weeks by Elvis778(m): 12:01pm On May 12, 2020
We know Education is important, but can you please take a walk out of your imagination and let's face reality?? The truth is, opening schools now, (no matter the protocol procured) will be what I will love to describe as "SUICIDE" am a student and I know how student coexist in schools, even if we divide the population in every lecture hall into 20, and each sect attend lectures just 3 days a week, plus all the hand washing stuffs and all, someone in the school reatruant will disobey one simple rule and that will put the lives of many at risk, one student somewhere who might be asymptomatic might cook and share the food to his roomies, the roomies share the toilet with the entire hostel series, who will end up mixing with people from other series, and finally the entire school, the markets, and the entire town........we can't play luck with our lives, there must be a known cure before we can start school

He has offered a solution. What is yours. Remain at home twiddling your thumbs awaiting the influenza virus to die off.

Good news. Influenza viruses donot die off. Covid 19 will remain in circulation for years to come. Stay at home till then and see what happens to your life, your community, your country, if there is any left.

You better start thinking seriously of the consequences of the total destruction of the economy of which the education sector is critical amongst many others. Has goverment not proven enough to you that they simply cannot take care of you.

If schools are closed for the next ten years you think it will affect top goverment officials with kids abroad. They will still use your money to send their kids to school while you bicker and fight yourselves here.

You better start thinking and find a way out of this mess instead of flooring every idea that comes your way.
EducationRe: Afe Babalola: How FG Can Reopen Schools, Universities Within Four Weeks by Elvis778(m): 11:36am On May 12, 2020
This is the most selfish suggestion I have ever seen, opening schools at this point will be the craziest thing to do, that will be madness, take for instance my school, UNN, where students come from Lagos, Abuja, Kano, Kadunna, etc, if we should resume, it will surely prompt interstate travels, students with the virus but are asymptomatic will travel too, spreading the virus along the way, this means putting both the school, the students, and the entire Enugu state in danger........what of our lecture halls? With about 800 sitting capacity but school just find a way to jam-pack over a thousand students into an 800 capacity lecture hall, which means no social distancing, what about restaurants? Ofcourse students will eat, and with a COVID-19 patient(yet to know his/her status) as the waiter, men, everyone eating there are TOAST.......what about hostels? Or do you not realise that a lot of people with this virus do not develop the symptoms early but can still transmit it? The man is thinking from his pocket, he should use his head........no well meaning parents Will agree to risk their wards in the name of resuming schools.

why say so. Senegal reached out to them and they gave them some of the drugs and today they are no more dying.
In medical field, herbal medicine is never recommended, reason WHO won't approve the Madagascar solution....herbal medicines contains lots of drugs in one portion both relevant and irrelevant ones, some of these compounds are in high doses which can be very dangerous, this makes the side effects really high and in some cases, the medicine might end up killing some individuals, if not now, later, especially individuals that are allergic to some certain compounds......some of these compounds cause organ damage after a very long time, leading to chronic aging sicknesses.....reason our fore fathers who depended on herbs had a very low life expectancy.....herbs are heavy chemicals because they are impure.....heavy chemicals are never recommended to be used as medicines.

Now that everyone has my attention....

Let me quickly say that the problem of Africa and indeed Nigeria, is bad governance. The black race is a disgrace to humanity. We are evil and devilish. Put any Nigerian in the seat of power, he won't do better than our governor, senators or buhari. Our nature is to care for our family alone. Nigerians are very selfish. Can any Nigerian sacrifice 70yrs of his life studying about how to develop our nation? Your guess is as good as mine, we will leave such at the slightest inclusion of money, the benjamin. The problem is deeply rooted. There's a lot to talk about on this issue. Go to the streets today and you will understand the result of what successive bad governance has done. Only 0.01% are wealthy. The rest of us are poor... majority of us live below #300/day. It's bad

What can be done? What corrective measures can we apply? What do we need to do? There's a solution... the only solution. After some years of serious research, I propose this solution which is what we need. But I dont think nairaland wants to listen
Oga, go straight to the point

Hey you know what you are actually right. I really don't have any business challenging you on this because it's not my tribe or culture and that's the honest truth. My argument however is He who chooses not to identify with Igbo tradition or identity should not be forced to do so. Being from Anochia does not automatically make me answerable like a slave to Igbos or it's tradition.
I never said he's answerable to Igbos as a slave....I only said he's Igbo by identity, at least, he's name alone has identified him as Igbo.

Hausa yoruba
These ethnic groups dont have complex problems and are not looking for how to expand by claiming bullshit. But the Igbos ehn.... Full of vices
Maybe we should change all igbos in SW to Yoruba igbo since the yorubas have colonised them too
Igbos in Yorubaland still have a home town in ignore land, they didn't migrate totally,
Do you know how many ethnic groups that's in Delta? They are many, itsekiri, ijaw, etc, including Igbos, but because we know igbos mainly reside in SE not SS, the smaller faction in SS now chose to be called the BENDEL IGBOS, later on they changed it to DELTA IGBOS and of course they all know their roots and want to maintain that statues, reason they don't bear ADAMU, or EKONG or EFIONG, or ADEBAYO.......they answer IGBO names, IGBO surnames, IGBO titles, Same tradition, Same language and same way of life.....so wtf are you saying? What else defines a person's origin if not culture?
