sorry, but I have, the old testament was actually written by different writers, some used yaweh to describe God, some used Jehovah, some used the El word, and there were many contradictions too that points out that the old testament was not written by just one person, infact, about 4 different persons wrote the Genesis...

I didn't say all stories in the old testament are myths, I used the word "most".....and I gave examples and mentioned that the Babylon incident happened but it's just among the few that actually happened......it is said that the writers of the Bible actually existed in that time and mixed reality with myths to drive home their thoughts and views, Israelites were never slaves in Egypt, I will say that anywhere any time and will defend it too, David was never the king of the whole isreal, he ruled a small hilltop community which was even far from Jerusalem, his palace is located on that hilltop with proofs, the wall of Jericho never fell, the Israelites never travelled through the wilderness and desert on their way to canan.....these are some of the many bible stories that's just plain myth, every religion have their own myths written in their own books and Judaism is not an exception(they are the owners of the Torah), the aim of these stories is not about whether it happened or not, the main thing is u learning something meaningful from the story, the Bible is not a book of history, it's a book of morals.....
also note this, that the Bible mentioned an actual place and an actual event, then adding a story to it does not in anyway mean that the story is true, I could write my own account and stories with the aim of teaching good morals and mention buhari's leadership in the article, that doesn't in anyway justify my article or show that my story is real......many nairaland fiction authors mentions present happenings in their stories, that doesn't make the story non-fiction.

besides, most bible verses are never taken literally....you read meaning into it....it is said that most old testament stories are actually Jewish myths that was used to pass lessons to people, they didn't really happen, one of which is the famous journey of the Israelites in the land of Egypt, no archeological artifact or Egyptian documentaries support that story (Israelites once lived in Egypt and escaped to canan)....they were just myths which passes really great lessons...... evidence shows Israelites has always been in canan and only left canan on an exile to Babylon....

you seem not to understand that these so called natural occurrences of yours can be controlled by spirit forces. even heathen religions believe in sango the god of thunder and even Thor for the Europeans. God sent an angel who caused pestilence as punishment and approximately 80,000 Israelites died. the cause of the cause is the cause of the effect (causa causae est causa causati). you must always look to the original cause. both good and bad spirits control elemental forces. if also there is a nuclear war that annihilates the world, it will be due to the human factor as influenced by malevolent forces.. you need to broaden your knowledge. even if you won't agree with a contrary position at least understand it. go learn about eschatology and the human factor in the course of the world's history

Fire and sulphur....do you realize that could as well be a volcanic eruption? ofcourse that's what it is and it's still natural, that's exactly my point but you simply don't want to understand me, I plainly stated that no matter when or how God wants the earth to end, it must be in a natural way, and I listed the very possible ways, though I forgot viral diseases, of which the greatest threat as of now is influenza related diseases.... throughout the Bible God only sent natural punishments, and he is never gonna deviate from that, he doesn't change......so if the world is going to end any day, it's going to be natural, and good thing most threats posed by nature can be tracked, am not too sure but I don't think that will happen any time soon, cuz as of now, we have very little threats.....

forget your "eschatological" stuffs, my point is, if God wants the world to end, it won't end in an "unnatural" way....it's either he allows us end it ourselves, he allows climate end us, a huge asteroid, or it ends by the collision theory, and if non of the former happens, then the earth is gonna end via collision, and remember what your Bible says, he won't destroy the world with water again, but with fire (which is what happens when two planets collide, when a huge asteroid hits a planet or when a volcano errupts)

People will still be in existence by then if our climate isn't too harsh for human existence (if we avoid the so called nuclear war)..... Our solar system will actually end with collision the same way it was formed, it's estimated that Venus orbit will cross paths with that of earth (shortly before our Sun sheds it's outermost core), the two planets will collide and that will be the end of life on earth.....humans will still be in existence by then if we manage to escape our solar system before that.....

Earthquakes are possible anywhere, the reason other continents are prone to earthquakes more than Africa is because Africa is still holding strong to the center, other continents were formed when they tore and moved away from the center but Africa is still stationed at the center, and will not disintegrate anytime soon....it's estimated that it will do so in about a million years to come, there will be massive earthquake in Africa then, when I say massive, I mean like 10.0 magnitude and above, after which the continent will disintegrate into smaller pieces, and form a new ocean at the center.....but funny enough, it's still not the end of the world as many would think.
