Rubbish, this looks like projects that were done in the New York in 1960, any electrical technical school student can achieve this.

Wake me up when a Nigerian manufactures a functional squirrel cage motor, not this assembled junk
kudos for displaying your stupidity,
you ain't creative at all (sleeping)
but you still have the guts to criticize another person for making something tangible....
that's stupidity at it's peak, people like you is the reason why this nation is still backwards

This country is filled with thoughtless people.

Someone installed solar component that he bought inside a bike then put solar panel on the roof of the bike.

People here said he is creative and innovative and has talent.

The people in this country won't kill me with laugh.

It is like a radio man installing radio inside a car, is that brilliant or creative.
Have you ever installed battery into a wrist watch?
infact, have you ever made a broom?

don't know why you lots don't appreciate things,
didn't you see the initial frame work?
meaning he built it from the scratch in such a way that it's powered by electricity alone, he didn't convert an already made gas tricycle into an electric one, he made his own from the scratch, and needs support, quite being bitter..

Not that he did not try his best to solve a problem. Go to developed countries and see how things are being done.
Oga, have you been to developed countries??
if u have, you won't be disgracing your self on a public forum, there is a difference between government funded group/individual/school project and something an individual single handedly built with the help of a school.....now the difference between Nigeria and those developed countries is that Government is ready to fund individual innovations,
but in Nigeria,we all are on our own, so you can't compare Nigeria with any developed country in terms of innovation. appreciate the fact that we still have good heads.

This thing is too poor to be on the road. A computer design is way better than this.

Since 1960, when will Nigerians learn to build something viable and useful to us.
We cannot afford to continue this way..

Tueh!!

Go and meet with your state governor..Bihari will not fund this type of shallow project from a fully grown adult
bad Belle,
which one you build?
you fit repair ordinary radio? infact, ordinary torch light talk more of Tricycle......I don't know when Nigerians will start appreciating what they have, this is a great innovation of which if he could get the right funding, he can choose a better design and trust me, this stuff will go places, you don't expect him to waste money on designs when he is yet to test and be sure what he produced is working fine....Rome wasn't built in a day, even Benz didn't look into designs that much when he was producing a prototype of the first car...

Please come with clean picture of this building and stop using all these beauty snap shot.

Yes some structures that house the elite in unn is good but in terms of those that house The masses, it's totally a disgrace.

Save ur time and visit any classroom during lecture time or visit ur friends in alvan_ikoku or eni-njoku hostel and tell me ur findings.

Happy Sunday
I stay at Alvan and am an Engine student, so I've experienced all these, didn't say the school is all good, ofcourse the boys hostel and Nkurumah is bad, am only saying it's not as bad as the op painted it, forget all these drone pics other schools posted,
which school didn't edit their own pics?
which federal Uni in Nigeria don't have dilapidated buildings?
which 1st and 2nd generation federal UNI in Nigeria ain't having overpopulation issues??
trust me, if you should see well edited aerial pictures of UNN you will be wowed, drone.pics wey thick village go dey like say in fine, most of these other FG Uni are worse, just that they refused to show us the bad part of their school...

If you live in Lagos, when next you are at Yaba axis just drive round unilag, yabatech or FCET Akoka if wouldn't affect your schedule and you would be ashamed of the bakery you attended for college

you can't compare normal cam pics with aerial view...

You can watch my comment all you want and choose to put it under the microscope as well. One sure thing is you wouldn't see me call out a tribe, because that misbehaviour irks me and that was exactly what you did initially to prompt my response.

People like you are a cancer to the society. You are a tribalist, and sadly , one without enough data who simply blows hot air from an empty head.

Every school partners with private organisations to boost some . Unilag does this all the time and recently, they are partnering with alumni association to build a mega hostel.

Attached is the budget for universities for the year 2019. Watch closely how NDA came first and ABU and UNN. Did you see how close the ABU and UNN budget were?

Yes, UNN receives a whole lot from the government but its management has consistently chosen to keep it in ruins than raise it from the dead.

Watch how no one would cry foul about OAU or UNILAG or other schools but your people. I'm sick and tired of this behavior on nairaland. The rot that went on in OAU for a long time until recently was always blame on the management as expected but not UNN. It would be blamed on the government.

Please, in your daily life, take responsibility and grow. If you keep blaming other, you back would forever be on the ground.
main University budget is used to pay lecturers and non academic staffs, and not used for projects,
as far as I know, tetfund forsees all building and research projects of the university and not the school pocket....

Keep defending rubbish.... Some universities partners with private companies to build hostels.... They do that to generate internal revenue...

So don't bring that as an excuse.. The problem is that u wunt go out of ur east, u r just typing wit ignorance...

Most universities partners with private company to build hostels well well... Take the blame and stop shifting blame.

UNN is better funded than BUK, kano but it can't stand BUK in term of infrastructure... Blame ur school authority
forget that OP is a propagandist, aerial photos of this school would blow your mind...maybe you should visit the school your self, UNN is not the worst in terms of infrastructure, am sure of that

See useless excuse...... Tetfund distribute billions of money to all institutions especially federal.... It is up to that school to make do with it or not....

Ur Igbos are the one looting Tetfund..... Other schools are utilizing it well but ur east brothers keep looting n blame it on govt....

Rubbish lies..
for UNN, tetfund always disburse 60% of the project fund, after which they disburse the remaining 40% for completion, but it's annoying that tetfund would take forever to disburse the remaining 40%, I know how long it took to complete pharmacy complex, after it was left uncompleted for about a year or two (near completion oo, na just painting windows and times remain, and to think that they were very fast in building it only to pause for a very long while when the building was almost complete speaks volumes), leaving many projects uncompleted, and all of them are near completion...

Ok fine
Abu is the most funded abi
But UNN can't be too far behind from unilag, oau, ui in funding, never ever
But yet those schools are better maintained and are light years ahead of this crappy uni even yabatech go dust una for infrastructure and I'm now guessing in other ways too
UNN management which is largely Igbo have failed you people.EOD
Even though you are being sentimental and tribalistic, which plainly shows you are a tribal bigot, I will still reply you
First of all, if you have been to UNN you will know the OP is simply a propagandist, UNN still has really nice structures and very nice mapping, and road network, even though the school is underfunded, and yes, UNILAG and the rest receives more funds than UNN,
If not I don't see why a school will partner with a private business owner just to build a school hostel, they will only take such decision if the government refuse to release funds for a new hostel....

You can blame everyone else but yourself. Whatever paddles your canoe.
I have been watching your comments and I must say you are a bigot....so igbos should blame themselves for government's refusal to fund a school properly?
Why do you guys love to turn blind eye to the truth? It's clear to everyone (but bigots like you) that the school is underfunded,
Imagine a whole University of Nigeria is partnering with a private business owner to build a new boys hostel because the Nigerian government has refused to fund the school for a new hostel, and has also refused to fund the school to atleast, renovate the old ones....and you still think it's the admins fault?

The authorities of UNN are unkind. You cannot leave this premier university in this dilapidated state! It is unacceptable. Callous!
To be sincere with you, it's not the authority, but our government,
Imagine the school had to partner with the private sector to build a new boys hostel which is under construction now, why? Because the government has refused to fund the school the way it funds others, just because the school is in the east...so many uncompleted huge projects, waiting for more funds from the government, but none is coming, so many buildings due for renovations but still nothing, one wey dey pain me na one big structure at the back of carva building, very big structure that has been abandoned for a year now, cuz of lack of government funding..... what of the school sports village? The stadium? That one is now history....

Conscience issues? Pls explain.
it either has something to do with your religion (most religion views sex outside marriage as fornication and a very bad thing, so inside of you, you feel dirty cuz according to your religion, u just committed sin)

or ur feelings (for most men, casual sex (sex with people they don't love) makes them feel very bad and dirty afterwards, especially if the girl loves them and thinks he loves her too, reason casual sex is one of the main causes of depression)

or your mind set is corrupt with mis information (maybe you've grown to believe sex is dirty)

These incessant rape case isn't funny any longer in our society. Your 5 minutes rudeness to have an innocent girl defile at the detriment of her negative ideology of men and abuse of right in a life time suffering. The government should enact a law immediately that will not be business as usual but rather a severe death penalty meted on it's perpetrator.
There is no need for death penalty, we have a law already that will surely checkmate this if and only if our security agencies can step up their game and do their job effectively with better ways.......the death penalty won't scare rapists if u still can't enforce it.

Bro, read about eunuchs, and you'll see where I'm coming from.
Eunuchs, castrated men,. mainly castrated before they reach puberty.....that's completely different from castrating an adult, once he hits purberty, castration won't end sexual urge or production of testosterone, may I remind you that the adrenal gland also produces testosterone? though in little amount and would produce more in the absence of the testicles (to supplement the lack in testosterone).....so castration will not even solve sexual violence.
CrimeRe: Reps Reject Castration As Punishment For Rapists by Elvis778(m): 8:53pm On Jun 04, 2020
TUANKU:
I asked you first, answer me. Stop trying to play smart by pushing aside my question.
I don't have to answer that,
I don't have a family member who is a rape victim.....but then, no matter how angry I am,
I will never be an advocate of castration as a remedy.... castration is not even a long term solution to sexual violence, you should know that, cuz so long as the person has crossed purberty, you cannot eliminate sexual urge totally, the adrenal gland still produces little amount of testosterone, and with a reduced supply of testosterone from the testicles, the adrenal gland overtime, will produce more testosterone to supplement the lack.....the best way to treat a rapist is mental re-orientation, jail him and subject him to hard labour, educate him and assign a therapist to him, he will turn out a new leaf....
CrimeRe: Reps Reject Castration As Punishment For Rapists by Elvis778(m): 6:42pm On Jun 04, 2020
TUANKU:
Can you give genuine instances where such has happened before?
The percentage of confirmed rape cases as against that of false alarm cases is like 7up, false cases don't amount to 5% so which are you more worried about, the 5%?
If a family member of yours is a victim of rape would you still hold this view?
if a family member of yours becomes part of this 5% tomorrow, will you still hold this view?
no matter how you try to justify this, castration is barbaric, many years in prison with hard labour is enough punishment and can be compensated if it turns out it's a wrong judgement,
but castration is a life time something, you don't ditch 5%,cuz they are 5%,any of your own could be that 5%...
for me, the only reason why rape case is rising is not cuz we don't have a suitable punishment, its because we lack enforcement, it's very hard to catch and punish a rapist in this country because of corruption amongst our law enforcement agencies.
CrimeRe: Reps Reject Castration As Punishment For Rapists by Elvis778(m): 6:08pm On Jun 04, 2020
daddycrazy:
A castrated man wouldn't even have the urge to shoot someone. A castrated man is a glorified zombie. A castrated man is a eunuch.

But yeah, I agree. Physical castration is barbaric, which is why I advocate for the medical variety.
that's a lie, Adrenaline is responsible for rage and anger which is what makes people shoot, adrenaline is not produced in the testicles...get your facts straight.... castration of any sense is barbaric, medical means or not, like I said, the western world makes rapist undergo a sexual drive reduction treatment, they don't castrate, though it is fondly called chemical castration but it doesn't sterilize a man in any way(unlike the other ones), cuz in as much as he is a rapist,he still has the right to give birth after his sentence...
