Finally got an offer today from the University of Greifswald to study Masters in earth sciences this summer. Now i can confidently proceed with the block account opening and booking appointment for interview.

This German system of delaying admission is very annoying compared to other developed nations like US and UK..the wait for summer admission is too long...schools that have their application deadline on Jan 15th still want us to fry egg before they can release admission letter ..its well

If @elvissdon’s 3.5 CGPA was converted to German 2.5 then I think there are other factors involved. I don’t want to think a reliable Organization like uniassist will make such mistakes.

I have a 3.1 CGPA and when converted was 2.4 on the German scale. Maybe they consider experience? Or it depends on the relevance of the undergraduate course to the one applied for. Who knows....

Fabcol my man, you know we have been friends since last year. Let's just say I was not in the mood though you have a way of confronting people that I don't like, esp when you did it to Eldeee.

The conversion aspect, I was only correcting the guy that said 3.0 above is the least for 2,5 German scale which I know is not true. Some German schools that I know even accept 3,0 for MSc in some programs. So brother having a 2.8 or 2.7 should not rule out the MSc aspect especially with a good motivation letter and CV (experiences).
Meanwhile how will someone with Nigeria 3.5cgpa have 2,5 German score? I bet u their was a mistake with his handlers cos I had similar experience but pointed it out to them which they corrected.
Dailydolar would have done better in explaining this cos I learnt it from him in the last thread, sorry he is not active here anymore.

not an admission letter ,they sent me a mail assuring me of been admitted ,they promise to send the admission letter in b4 2weeks.I received the mail on 3rd of January, but I already booked appointment on the 1st of January

Please those that successfully funded there blocked account, this is the step u took; open a domiciliary account- buy euro from money changer by going to the bank with the person then transfer from the domiciliary to your sutor bank. My question is how do u convince the changer to make the transfer to your account before collecting the naira equivalent? Also how much did u buy euro per naira ?(I know the rate is not stable, just asking).

i dnt think there is any issue at all convincing the aboki to fund your dorm account..it depends on your negotiation ability. I recently funded my Euro dorm account and i told the aboki to make pauments into my euro account in the bank before i pay the naira equivalent. We both went to the bank for the transaction.. Its a normal transaction.
