I think the Iheanacho and Mbappe comparison was born out of the "in the present and now context" and at that time You will wanna agree with Me that Nacho is only a bit clinical than Mbappe and not better than Him in their overall performance... I feel that's what those who are pitching their tent with Nacho were saying.

On Haaland vs Monster machine I think it's due to preference and also the "present and now context.

Conclusion:- Neither Monster machine nor Nacho were better in overall performance than Haaland and Mbappe at the time of comparison.
I will want to go with ur conclusion.. But den, I will still insist on " so many monikers" on dis thread saying boldly dt nacho was better Dan mbappe in all ramifications... Only few monikers limited deir argument on comparison and not sticking out deir neck on "saying nacho was better Dan mbappe"..I knew d insults I and some oda monikers faced den trying to correct deir gaffes grin grin..so bro,I knw wetin I dey talk

I am not just good @ digging out ppu old post,d way forgiveness and komekn does...I for don burst ppu here cool

At the time of that comparison, Mbappe was clearly better than Iheanacho. Solanke has never been better than Iheanacho. Komekn's comment about Osimhen was an ignorant one as well.
No mind dem..like say we no sabi read again..3years down d line ,some persons here who said osimhen is better Dan Harland, would also claim odawise...we knew those who made comparison back den btw nacho and mbappe and we knew dose who outrightly said nacho was better Dan mbappe

Those times wen we try to correct deir "gaffes"...dey labeled us 'haters' ,'anti nacho' ,some even called us unprinted names den just to defend nacho nicknamed 'golden boy" on dis thread ,as if we no get eyes...now dey re now hiding under "comparison" only... Blatant liars...so what brut abt d pro-nacho and anti nacho camp argument back den on dis thread ...I could remember vividly dt u dare not say d truth abt nacho..u re seen as a threat to deir golden boy...only few were bold enuf to say d way things were den grin grin...mikael2,mutjahida,oasis07 can bare witness to dis.. grin

Now we re looking @ d "monster" vs haaland progress cool

The guy is right and you know it... Don't overblow the issue..
Iheanacho was compared to Mbappe when they were both at Man City and Monaco respectively... Some said Iheanacho was better.. They weren't wrong... Iheanacho was one of the best young player in the world at that time.. things just didn't go down well.
It's the same thing with Komekn and forgiveness saying Solanke was better than Iheanacho..Where are they both now?
Komekn also sad Osimhen won't make the youth team of a championship clubs..where is Osimhen now?
Time and circumstances change things... But an argument based on present events shouldn't be dismissed...
Iheanacho is better Dan mbappe ...period cool

Kc was compare to Mbappe when they both started which is norms just like comparing Greenwood and Saka.
One may later have a better carrier going forward.
If I could remember nobody said it outrightly that KC was better(I dare any one to bring evidence) Thegoodjoe and Nerdy were analysing both player attribute back then in 2016/2017 and I remember thegoodjoe saying he doesn't rate Mbappe that he has only pace and finishing and the conclusion was that outside the box KC was a better finisher than Mbappe and he link up play better.
With Time Mbappe has proved to be mile ahead of him. ( hope you know Rashford was compared to Kc then and now people still compare Rashford and Mbappe).

Last season Harland and Oshimen had a wonderful season and preference will be on choice but this season Harland has proven to be better.

For Mharez and Henry my hand no dey ooo
Guy forget long talk...it was categorically stated several times on dis thread dt nacho was better Dan mbappe grin,dt one knw need evidence

He has speed, has amazing athleticism and bravery, has decent ball playing skills

Egbon please what are they saying about the poor player turf they keep forcing this players to play on.You can't expect this players do wonders when the ball is bouncing anyhow, the ball becomes hard to control and football isn't free flowing.

I understand that Rohr doesn't have tactics, infact Rohr spoilt that first leg because of poor subs, but we need to cut these players some slack, what they play on in europe is good and we see the kind of wonders they perform,if a whole Messi can complain when a pitch isn't suitable enough for free flowing football, then who are our players not to complain.

Imagine a match between Nigeria and Sierra Leone in a stadium like camp nou, very wide and smooth, believe you me, Sierra Leone will be made to chase the ball for the entire duration of 90.They will be beaten to stupor, this I'm sure of.
U guys keep imagining for rohr on dis platform.. Fantasizing diff match situations off head...but when reality beckons, we will b here gnashing teeth's..don't u guys learn for once grin grin

Imaging..sierra Leone will b made to chase d ball for 90mins

Abeg when our team become master of tiki taka?
Under rohr..d last 6ix matches I av watched under rohr even when we played on a smooth surface I doubt if we av held unto d ball for 5mins wout losing it to d opponent.

Dey dere dey fantasize grin

Which Nigerian coach will ever bench Iheanacho?
Our coaches in the past will take bribes to play you. Rohr has proven beyond doubt that you need to be active at your club before you can find a place in the super eagles. He doesn't care where you are playing so far you are enjoying active play which is best for our football and will create competition for positions.
How come you people quickly forgot we qualified for the world cup and nations cup for the first time without calculations and dependence on other teams. He also took the eagles to the semi final of the nation's cup.

Come on. This guy wants the best hands and nothing but that.
All dis was achieved b4 wout rohr..so does dt mean we shld stick to mediocrity when it's glaring to everyone dt he has reached his peak with eagles...d best rohr can achieve with d eagles is to repeat d same cycle of achievement of a 3rd place in afcon and 1st round exit @ d world cup..but if we feel dis team can achieve more Dan dt,den tactically, rohr is not d answer.period cool

According to pinnick tonight on sport Parliament

1) he made it clear dt he would av to wait for technical report b4 deciding rohrs fate
2) he also admit dt rohr is no longer popular among d football lovers in Nigeria
3) he also made it clear dt it would b very difficult to sack rohr due to d financial implications ,citing oliseh foreign assistant as an example, when he took d NFF to FIFA,thereby leading to d body paying him 300,000$ despite d fact dt oliseh(d head coach),willingly resigned.

4)....from d discussion so far on d Parliament, I can deduce dt sport veterans on d Parliament want rohr out cool

Coaches come and go. Rohr has done his part. It is time for a change! Keshi won the nation's cup yet he was sacked when his team was underperforming. What has Rohr won? Rohr is the only coach that has stayed this long with our national team winning only a nation's cup bronze! Ranieri was sacked at Leicester, despite making history, Mou at Chelsea, Poch at Tottenham e.t.c. even Wenger at Arsenal so who the bleep is Rohr!

I don't know why some people are scared of taking that leap,I don't know why many are afraid of moving away and moving forward from a spent Gernot Rohr.

I am afraid to say this, if Rohr doesn't go, we should as well bid 2022 world cup bye bye. Remember the qualification format defers this time.

I remember 2years back telling people not to be carried away by the results he was churning out (those slim and unconvincing victories). But Nigerians were more interested in the immediate results rather than a long term overall progress of the team.

His team picked and got stunted. If care is not taken we'll end up having another generation of talented underachievers. Remember the average age of our players is 24. It will be 26 in 2years time and we don't look ready to get the best out of them.

It is either the Man Rohr is made a chief scout or relieve of his duty
Abi o,we can even frustrate d man by employing an indigenous coach over him,na sharply e go resign grin grin

As much as i am disappointed at rohr performance against Sierra leone but what will be the basis of his termination? Drawing sierra leone home and away? Was that inserted in his pre contractual agreement? He was mandated to qualify us for ANC and he is topping the group. Yet, you want to terminate him lool omo make we remember why rohr was hired in the 1st place. Go and recall what happened in 2015/17
Okay let me ask u two questions

A). Win d nations cup
B) qualify for 2022 world cup convincingly like he did in 2018; and also exceed his previous record in world cup by reaching quarter finals @ d mundial? cool
