darkelf: Can we lure the following Technical assistants to the Super Eagles to assist Rohr:
Peter Krawietz (Jurgen Klopp's assistant)
Marco Van Basten is currently unemployed
Marco Landucci is Juve's assistant
I know they are a long shot but we can always try. Especially for Marco None can be employed... If we re not employing a top grade A coach, in d class of pochetinno and d likes...den let's stick with rohr, or any decent Nigeria ex international like siasia, enough of dis journey-man job hustlers |

ChrisKels: It was during the world cup, I got to know many polish players.
Most people all over the world dont know players from other Nations unless they are their regular opponents or club players. Infact, in the Epl, outside the top 6, u can hardly tell a player's country without using Google, unless u are already conversant with names as they relate to countries, the popular/unique ones. Can elyte89 my man name USMNT players?
So it isnt just an African thing, it is global stuff though we can argue that the more prominent ones like Spain, Germany, Dutch, Portugal etc are kinda exceptions. Lol...u got me dere,u made a gud point dere U countered nedvile opinion intelligently |

Nedville: Here we are calling onyekuru and osimhen quality players....not knowing that other countries do not even have an idea of who they are or where they play...if you want to know whether a team has quality players....ask a casual football fan outside the general sphere
If we ask someone from poland for example, how many African players will they name?
That is African football in general....average teams with a sprinkling of quality players....when we meet better countries...we fizzle out
Here the average countries in world are the favourites What u said,is d truth, its only we d avid supporters of super eagles get to knw our players and d kind of qualities each of dem possess, ask an average Nigeria football lover of d street, dey can't even tell u d clubs dey play for,let alone of knowing dere qualities, most especially d older ones, some will even tell u dey only knw MIKEL and ask if he's still playing for Chelsea , and dis ppu don't joke with eagles match ,na 4 only this thread we dey c our players as one big special talent |

darkelf: I am a Bonafide Nigerian and I love the Super Eagles
In the beginning, I had doubts about this team but they are gradually winning me over with their attitude on the field of play
But I know one fact; everybody cannot say positive things about the Super Eagles all the time. We are created different and we think differently.
Hence, it only makes sense to respect the opinions of others no matter how silly they may sound.
Granted, we give each other a hard time here by yabbing and making jokes about our wrong predictions and what nots but this should never degenerate to insults.
Some of us here have a hard time swallowing the opinions of others and cannot make intelligent arguments without insulting the other party. Times without number, I have called out some of these people. While some apologize and retract their statements, others remain adamant and choose not to admit their wrongs.
I want to believe we all possess a level of intelligence to converse on this thread and what differentiates the mature minds from kids is the ability to question opposing arguments with facts and without rude remarks.
I am calling on us especially those of us who are elders to act accordingly:
You don't have to reply every rude remark.
You are not in control of the other persons thoughts and opinions; positive and negative
I also want to believe that you (the agggressor) don't feed the aggressee neither do you clothe or pay his house rent . So the person can oppose you when he wants albeit intelligently.

somehow: Something is wrong with the EPL and player development. Only few get to develop there If you want to grow and improve, go to la liga, Bundseliga or serial A. If you want to make money and be in the news always, go.to the EPL. (But make sure you are already good)
Iheanacho, Balogun and success are few of my examples
Aina and Omeruo another set of examples. Balogun shld b exempted, he went dere at age 27years or so... For DT age its no longer for development |

timay: Pipe down on the Madagascar hype. One if Tunisia or Ghana will definitely put them in their place.
they have already over acheived by getting into the quarter finals. They will definitely be put in their place.
It's not as if the Congo that they beat via penalty shoot out have been fantastic in this tournament. Congo qualified as a 3rd placed team , so Madagascar realistically had a chance against them.
Anyone of Ghana or Tunisia will spank them in the quarter finals Same way leceister won d league...dey re pretenders, dey re pretenders, na so PPu dey talk ,dey will go back to deir normal position 15th/16th,na so dem talk, till e clear for deir eye one month to d title decider |
