A Nigerian man reportedly based in Sweden has called out Soul E for being a fake Pastor.

The man who posted a video of his communication with the man of God, mentioned that he claimed he saw it in the spirit that he is a Nigerian, whereas his local Nigerian name was fully displayed on the screen during the video chat with Soul E.

The pastor later said the man has a calling, of which the man claimed that was after the pastor heard him speak in tongues, which to him was made up and not truly inspired by the Spirit of God.

A Nigerian man who has been in Ukraine for the past 6 years studying to become a medical doctor, has given his mum a surprise visit.

In a video he posted on social media, the man could be seen making a surprise entrance into a church where his mum was sitting.

He stopped by her side and prostrated to greet her. But since she was not expecting him, she responded lightly only to later realise it was her son that had been away for 6 years.

The moment she realised this, she jumped up in ecstasy and could be seen hugging the young man while exuding so much joy.

A woman could be heard in a video telling a driver not to follow Police officers in Ogun state to their station after they hit his car, with claims that they will rob him of his valuable.

In the video, the man claimed he was hit from behind by the Police Patrol vehicle while traveling along the Lagos-Benin Express Road and the officers claimed it was as a result of a brake failure.

They however reportedly told the man to follow them to their station so they could resolve the issue.

A BRT bus has reportedly caught fire at Anthony Bus Stop, Ikorodu, Lagos.

In a video we sighted, the bus could be seen burning in the middle of the road with thick white fumes emanating from the burning bus.

Reports have it that there is the possibility that some passengers are trapped in the bus.

As at the time of filing this report, there was no sign of operatives of the Lagos State Fire Service at the scene and no effort is being made to put out the fire.

El Chapo jailed for life: Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman has been sentenced to life behind bars in a U.S. prison, a federal judge in Brooklyn decided Wednesday.

Guzman, 62, was convicted in February of charges that mandate life in prison, proving he was "a ruthless and bloodthirsty leader of the Sinaloa Cartel," federal prosecutors in Brooklyn said in a court filing.

"The horrific nature and circumstances of the defendant's offense, his history and characteristics and the fact that the defendant committed some of the most serious crimes under federal law make a life sentence warranted," prosecutors wrote.

“My case was stained,” Guzman told U.S. District Judge Brian Cogan before he was sentenced. “You denied me a fair trial.”

Speaking through an interpreter just before Wednesday's sentencing, Guzmán said in the Brooklyn courtroom his confinement in the US had amounted to "psychological, emotional, mental torture 24 hours a day", BBC reports.

The life sentence was the minimum Guzmán faced. The additional 30 years were for unlawful uses of firearms.

Prosecutors said Guzmán would be serving his sentence behind "tonnes of steel", referring to a high-security prison in Colorado.

It was not immediately clear if Guzmán would appeal against the verdict.

The government presented evidence that Guzman ordered the murder of or, in some instances, personally tortured and murdered 26 individuals and groups of individuals. His army of assassins carried out violence on his orders, prosecutors said.

The American RnB star and Grammy winner whose sister, Tamar Braxton is currently dating a Nigerian, performed at the event which had many dignitaries in attendance.

Nduka Obaigbena, who is the founder of Thisday Newspaper, Arise News and Arise magazine, turned 60 on the 14th of July.

He marked the special day with a big and star-studded celebration at the Eko Hotel & Suites in Victoria Island, Lagos.

Earlier, the president accused the congresswomen of “spewing” “racist hatred” – precisely the offence of which he has been widely accused.

The president wrote:

“When will the Radical Left Congresswomen apologize to our Country, the people of Israel and even to the Office of the President, for the foul language they have used, and the terrible things they have said. So many people are angry at them [and] their horrible [and] disgusting actions!”

He added:

“If Democrats want to unite around the foul language [and] racist hatred spewed from the mouths and actions of these very unpopular [and] unrepresentative Congresswomen, it will be interesting to see how it plays out.”

The tweets reflected others Trump sent on Sunday amid the storm created by his initial demand that the unnamed congresswomen should “go back and help fix the totally broken and crime[-]infested places from which they came”.

The targets of Trump’s ire were Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, of New York; Rashida Tlaib, of Michigan; Ayanna Pressley, of Massachusetts; and Ilhan Omar, of Minnesota.

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) wishes to inform the general public on the true situation with Eva Water produced and bottled by the Nigerian Bottling Company (NBC).

Following discovery of a default in two lots of Eva bottled water (75cl pack size) produced between 22nd and 23rd May 2019 at the NBC ultra modern factory at Asejire in Ibadan, the company immediately initiated a recall of the affected lots and voluntarily notified NAFDAC as is expected of every responsible quality-driven organization with high priority for Food Safety and safety of its consumers.

After thorough investigation of the company’s processes supported with detailed laboratory analysis of the water and all other products produced at the factory, NAFDAC is satisfied that adequate corrective and preventive actions are in place to guarantee the quality and safety of Eva water and indeed all Coca Cola products that are registered by NAFDAC.

It is important to highlight that there is no cause for alarm, as the laboratory reports did not indicate any health threat; the recall was purely precautionary and it is standard food safety practice all over the world.

A recall is initiated when there is strong reason to believe that a potentially contaminated food has reached the marketplace whether confirmed or not.

It is reassuring to note that the Nigerian Bottling Company demonstrated a high sense of responsibility in voluntarily reporting the problem and in the recall process. NAFDAC urges all companies and stakeholders to think of the customers’ safety first just like what NBC has done in this case. This is exemplary and should be emulated by all manufacturers.

A man surprised airport staff when he was told to pay extra charge for his flight baggage, but instead he chose to wear his 15 shirts.

The man identified as John Irvine, from Scotland, was told his bag was eight kilograms too heavy and that he wasn’t allowed to check it in without paying a fee. Unwilling to waste his cash on EasyJet extra charges, he had a simple solution, Metro UK reports.

He just put on eight kilograms worth of clothes when the weather was around 30C outside. The Irvine family had been travelling back from Nice in France to Edinburgh airport when son Josh filmed his dad piling on the shirts and jumpers, and posted it on Twitter saying his dad was ‘sweating’.

His dad was ‘mortified’ at first when the video started to go viral.

A Ugandan feminist and lecturer, Stella Nyanzi, has been jailed over a poem she wrote about Vagina and shared on Facebook in September, 2018.

The poem written by the Ugandan feminist was directed at the Ugandan President, Yoweri Museveni, describing his birth and his mother’s vagina.

Stella who was arraigned before Buganda Road Court, was charged with "cyber harassment and offensive communication".

She was accused of intending to disturb the peace and privacy of President, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and his mother the late Esteeri.

The academic had stated that she has no case to answer and pushed for her immediate release, but the judgement wasn't in her favour.

Trump enters North Korea: President Donald Trump has become the first sitting US President to step into North Korea.

He met North Korean leader Kim Jong Un at the demilitarized zone (DMZ), and the two leaders held a private bilateral meeting before Kim returned to North Korea.

Earlier Sunday, Trump held a bilateral meeting, working lunch, and joint news conference with South Korean President Moon Jae-in in the capital Seoul.

During his journey back to America, US President Donald Trump has tweeted about his trip to the DMZ.

Two unidentified men have been arrested by security agents after showed up at Commonwealth of Zion Assembly, COZA Abuja, for the planned protest against pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo.

Two of the male protesters were driven away in a black Mercedes Benz C200 saloon belonging to an unidentified security agency shortly before 8:00 a.m, according to witnesses, Premium Times reports.

The church has come under nationwide interest since Busola Dakolo came out Friday to accuse Biodun Fatoyinbo, its lead preacher, of rape.

Busola Dakolo, the wife of the musician Timi, said she was raped by Mr Fatoyinbo at age 16 in Ilorin, Kwara State.

Mr Fatoyinbo has denied the allegations and threatened a lawsuit.

The rape allegation led to a call for a protest at the COZA headquarters in Abuja.

Despite the earlier arrest, a video of the protest has eventually surfaced and it is currently ongoing at the church premises

NFL star Cam Newton was willing to pay $1,500 to trade plane seats with another passenger on a flight, but the deal was out-rightly rejected.

According to a video posted by Eli Edwards, the Carolina Panthers quarterback offered another passenger $1,500 to take his seat, which appeared to offer more leg room.

But unlike what most of us would have done in that situation (the money and an autograph, please), the passenger rejected the offer, Edwards said on social media.

The video shows Newton pointing at a seat that's already been taken -- a seat that seems to be in a row without seats in front of it.
