Controversial US based Nigerian rapper, Speed Darlington, while reacting to Naira Marley and Zlatan’s arrest, has said music does not necessarily make one a saint.

In his post, he gave an instance of American R & B singer, R. Kelly, whom he claimed is a good singer but is allegedly attracted to young girls and so may not be considered a saint.

He then further stated that he is not even convinced on Naira Marley’s talent since he could not even coin a unique name for himself

He wrote:

Naija Is this the guy they arrested for fraud? I’ve been thinking did he do it or not? I am leaning towards he did. That car too nice without no oversea tour and he already super rich? 2.5 million streams that’s not necessary make you millionaires remember iTune pays him in naira not dollars and he already have all these nice things? it’s only common sense.

Just because a person do music doesn’t mean his a saint I am far from a saint myself. R.Kelly do music very good music but his attracted to young girls much younger girls, teenagers and his not even my age or 20s or teenager himself.

Anybody can do anything music or not if I was a Yahoo boy I would wait 2 more years. But you know my inspiration radiates on high frequency since I bought the Benzo everybody must have Benzo now. May God Almighty see him through he will overcome.

State College cops who killed Osaze Osagie, a Nigerian student in the United States, have been cleared of all charges.

The police officers had implemented the use of force while serving a mental health warrant that resulted in the death of Osaze Osagie on March 20.

According to a the Centre County District Attorney Bernie Cantorna, the officers were in a “life-and-death situation” when they shot Osagie who was approaching them with a 5.16-inch steak knife, Onwardstate reports.

Osagie died of multiple gunshot wounds after the confrontation at his apartment on Old Boalsburg Road.

No charges will be filed against any of the officers involved in serving the warrant, and none of them were referenced by name by Cantorna.

“Given the distance between Mr. Osagie and the officers and the speed at which Mr. Osagie was moving, Mr. Osagie had ample opportunity to seriously injure and potentially kill both officers,” Cantora said in a press conference.

“The time that Officer No. 1 shot, there was no time for any alternative means to stop a potentially deadly attack by Mr. Osagie. At the time of the incident, both officers acted consistently with their training and were justified in the use of force.”

The full report detailed the course of events that led to the Osagie’s death after his father reported him missing on March 19.

According to Cantorna, the confrontation between Osagie and police at his apartment lasted about 30 seconds from the first knock on the door until he approached them with a knife and was shot.

Chris Attoh killed Bettie Jenifer – That was the conclusion some social media users have come to after news broke on the death of the actor’s wife in Maryland, United States of America.

Reports have it that Chris Attoh’s wife, Bettie Jenifer was shot shot in the head by an unknown gunman at the parking lot of her office building in Maryland on Friday evening.

“Police were searching for a gunman who fatally shot a woman in the head in the parking lot of a Maryland office building Friday,” said the news outlet.“The woman, identified as 44-year-old Bettie Jenifer of Bowie, had left the office in the 6300 blocks of Ivy Lane and was walking to her car when a man armed with a handgun approached her, the Greenbelt police department said.”

Bettie reportedly tried to run away, but the gunman followed her firing at her multiple times, with at least one shot fatally hitting her.

The actor’s wife was pronounced dead before police arrived at the scene of the crime. The shooter reportedly this build man, fled the scene immediately.

The arrest and detention of a Chief priest in Edo, The Chief Priest of Okhuaihe shrine, Osarodion Usuanlele, the Ohen N’ Ukoni Neyedo, at the Edo Police headquarters in Benin City, has caused mayhem in the ancient city.

In a report by The Nation, with the priest’s detention, an age-long tradition which says the Ohen N’ UKoni does not enter Benin, the abode of the Oba, had been desecrated.

Consequently, three dogs were slaughtered as sacrifices were carried out near the police headquarters before the chief priest was released.

Additionally, a list of other items has been given to the police for cleansing sacrifice the land.

The items include 14 native cows, tortoise, sheep, goats, cocks, among others.

It was also gathered that the tradition was started in the 15th century by Oba Ewuare the great.

The chief priest’s shrine is located at Evbiekoi, in Uhunwode Local Government Area, and as part of coronation rites, he would have a symbolic wrestle with the Crown Prince. Both of them would go opposite ways, never to see each other again, once the Crown Prince becomes the Oba.

Trouble started last week when operatives of the anti-cultism unit stormed Evbiekoi community following on a petition by John Elvis (aka Atekha), an ex-official of the banned Community Development Association (CDA), The Nation reports.

Briefing reporters on the incident, Secretary of Evbiekoi community, Chief Paul Ajayi said: “The policemen shot sporadically and insisted on taking Chief Priest Usunalele to Benin City, despite pleas that the man does not enter Benin or he would die.

“A strange and mysterious downpour, accompanied by violent wind, thunder and lightning, were part of the signs of desecration.

“The Oba got the signs of desecration and presence of Ohen N’ UKoni, and sent emissaries to the Police Commissioner, Danmallam Abubakar, after confirming that the Chief Priest was in Benin.”

Meanwhile, the Police Commissioner, Dan has ordered policemen involved in the arrest of Ohen N’ Ukoni to be detained to allay rising tensions in Benin as various youth groups are reportedly preparing to cause mayhem over the alleged desecration of the Benin culture

The Royal Baby Boy has arrived after Meghan Markle went into labour some hours ago.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex welcomed the baby boy, as announced on the @sussexroyal Instagram account Monday morning.

A statement from the Palace further shared that the baby was delivered at 5:26 a.m. at 7 pounds, 3 ounces.

“The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Lady Jane Fellowes, Lady Sarah McCorquodale and Earl Spencer have been informed and are delighted with the news,” the statement read.

The Royal Baby’s name has not been given yet.

Baby Boy Sussex is the eighth great-grandchild for the Queen, and he is now seventh in line to the throne, behind, in order, Prince Charles, Prince William, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, Prince Louis, and his/her father, Prince Harry.

The Royal Baby boy will be behind the Prince of Wales, the Duke of Cambridge and his children – Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis – and the Duke of Sussex.

Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Benin Zonal Office on Saturday, May 4, 2019 arrested 13 suspected yahoo boys in Edo during an early morning raid at their resident in Uromi.

The suspects, who are between the ages of 20 to 35 were smoked out from their hideout in a hotel at Uromi.

Upon their arrest, 23 phones and three laptops were recovered from them. Three luxury cars, Lexus R330, C300 4 Matic and GLK 350 4Matic were also recovered from them.

The raid which was sequel to series of intelligence gathering by operatives of the zone is in line with the directive of the acting EFCC Chairman, Ibrahim Magu to rid the state and indeed the entire country of internet fraud and cybercrime.

The suspects have made useful statements and will soon be charged to court.

When I finished, I took plastic plates and packed the food inside. Both soup and stew. Put it inside nylon.

Went to the room and gave him 3500 and went home with the food.

The 500 extra was for his plates and kerosine and kitchen space I used.

Dude sent me a text that I was a wicked girl and i lacked training and I don’t have the patience to keep a man..

Board of Trustee (BoT) of Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has warned Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh to desist from her recent outbursts and attacks on ex-husband, Olakunle Churchill, on social media.

The board said her utterances were unbecoming, adding that the separation issue was being over stretched.

The actress has not only dragged Churchill, but every other celebrity that criticizes her action.

Speaking to NewstimesAfrica, Prince Ifeanyi Dike, Chairman, AGN BoT, said:

“Tonto Dike is exhibiting bad behavior that we will no longer condone. What she should realize is that every marriage has its own issue. No one’s marriage is perfect.

A veteran high-life singer in Ghana, Rex Omar has said in a new interviews that God sees nothing wrong with what humans consider as sexual immorality.

Speaking on the Delay Show, Rex Omar stated that God understands sexual immorality and what humans regard as sexual immorality is simply a relationship between a man and a woman which and he doesn't think there is anything wrong with that.

According to the Rex Omar, he made the decision to only compose and sing sexually explicit songs, because songs that are considered sensible do not sell.

“It is God who created us. God understand sexual immorality. What we as humans call sexual immorality is a relationship between a man and a woman. There is nothing sexually immoral about me writing about my wife. Abiba is my wife. Konka: ‘AbenaMma pa maame’ is my wife’s name. So like a songwriter, if I write about my wife or like a painter, and you see it as sexually immoral; I can decide to paint my wife’s naked picture or half naked picture, she is my wife,” he said.

“I deliberately composed those sexually explicit songs,” the ‘Abiba’ hitmaker said. “Sensible songs don’t sell at that time. A man who appeared to be drunk, walked into a restaurant in Abeokuta where he started eating and sleeping.

According to the source who sent in the video, the unidentified man was able to place his order; Amala and turkey. Confusion started when he had to find a place to seat. He kept going round looking for seats while passing by empty seats until he finally settled for one.

It took him another 10 mins to put himself together to devour the meal before him. Slowly but surely, he got to it, as a typical Nigerian man, he finished his Amala and decided to have his turkey last and this became a major issue.

Guess he lost total coordination at this point and just couldn’t find the way to his mouth again. Watch the video closely and see him dozing off as he struggles to finish the turkey.

As a rape victim, I have chosen to stand against all odds and despite the stigmatization attached to it all in the quest for justice and also to motivate others who are or may find themselves in the unfortunate similar position.

This statement is not about me and how my dignity was forcefully taken away from me but rather it’s about the injustices and persecution those dear to me are being made to undergo just for the simple fact they have made the often-hard choice to be a witness and stand by a victim.

I am not friends with both of my violator; I only know Chima Eyinnaiya or at least thought that I did. The second of my violator -Segun Razak aka Dj Rico – is a friend of Chima. My recount on how they both drugged and raped me is already known to the public however, what remains unknown is how my friends and family have been persecuted with trumped up charges filed by the parents of my violators.

In the aftermath of my rape, I recounted what had happened to me to a close friend who went back to the hotel with his sister and we called the police in order to confront Chima and Segun. I didn’t come out of the car because I was still in shock but when Chima and Segun were confronted they confessed and owned up to what they had done to me.

Picture and video recording of their criminal act was found in their possession. Following the discovery at the scene of the crime the police officers tried to effect the arrest of Chima and Segun but Chima’s father came and obstructed the arrest by locking the hotel premises. Chima’s father then desperately offered money bribe to stop the arrest of his son which was declined.

As a result of the commotion being caused a crowd had gathered and a few people attested that this was a trend with Chima. Chima’s father on realizing that there was strong evidence against his son from the testimonies of a few people in the crowd quickly called his friend and threatened my life claiming he knows people at the police hierarchy.

At this point the police had to call for back-up which led to two more police men being sent and with their help Chima and Segun were taken to the Maroko police station.

Following their arrest, Chima and Segun were arraigned in court despite their family trying to derail the matter and pleading to the me to end the case. Things took a turn after the arraignment of Chima and Segun when Chima’s father came with 2 police men to arrest my friend and his sister who were held against their will immediately after stepping out of the courtroom.

They were locked up for a day and forced to make statements without being told why they were arrested even when their families came no progress was made as the O.C in charge of the case had deliberately left.

My friends were only able to secure police bail the next day with the help of their family lawyer and were asked to report at the police station every day At this point the reason for their arrest was revealed to be that the parents of Chima and Segun claimed in a petition that they brought 3 buses filled with 30 people to the hotel who threatened lives, shooting all over the hotel and destroyed properties.

Their petition further stated that one of my friends took a gun to Maroko police station and was shooting and the DPO didn’t arrest him. When the matter brought before the AIG, he said the officer in charge should settle the case as he didn’t think there was enough evidence against my friends as bullet shells was not found at the alleged crime scene.

Despite having no case against my friends, the parents of Chima and Segun tried to join the rape case against their children and this trumped up charge against my friends as a single case with the intention to derail the former.

The OC handling the case forced my friends to call my parents who were told to drop the rape case in exchange for the trumped-up charges to be dropped. My father had to agree to this being that someone else’s son and daughter’s liberty were at risk just because they were defending me.

Segun Razak’s father asked for a letter of withdrawal of the rape case against his son addressed to the DPP, the court, gender and all the witnesses of the victim should swear an affidavit.

My father got legal representation and settlement terms was drafted and handed over to their lawyer for review. Afterwards the OC monitoring said they should not involve lawyers but resolve it within themselves. In exchange Chima issued to us a forged letter of withdrawal for the trumped-up case against my friends.

Thinking we had settled the case; it was a shock to receive a call from the IPO to report to zone 2 and when my friends arrived, they met both the parents of Chima and Segun at the OC monitoring’s office. Everything that followed happened fast; the charge sheets against them were completed and it became clear there were plans to charge them to court without due process.

The IPO then started manhandling them to court and he refused to allowed them get legal representation, threatening to shoot. They were taken to Igbosere magistrate court were there were arraigned and bail was given thanks to the help of lawyer who was at the court premises sympathetic to their plight.

The case has been adjourned until the 15th of May 2019. It was at this point I realised that the case against my friends was a twisted vendetta driven by the parents of my violators when they found out that I could not drop my case against Chima and Segun in exchange to save my friends from further persecution.

Despite it being the only logical option at the time the Lagos state government were going to proceed with the rape case against Chima and Segun in court.

My concern now is whether justice would to be served in light of the risks my friends and family have been subjected to on the account of crime committed against me.

Despite my fear about coming out to fight the injustices against me – the effect of this experience which has been mental, physical and affected my business- it doesn’t compare to having someone else suffer all for doing the right thing by standing up for a victim.

I will not deny myself the right and opportunity to bring the truth to light, because I know by so doing someone else who might have had a similar experience would be inspired to stand up for her right.

To the parents of the Chima and Segun: I am as ashamed for you as I am sorry for you. I believe you may have daughters and if they fall victims of rape what would you do? Put yourselves or your daughters in the shoes of the victim.

How do you move from apologising and begging over the actions of your children to fabricating a case against innocent people all with the aim to pervert the cause of justice to protect your predatory children? Your act of intimidation and coercion is unacceptable! The truth will come to light and legal justice will be served.

Twenty students in India have committed suicide in the past 1 week after their examination results were announced by the Board of Intermediate Education (BIE)

In a report by the Khaleejtimes, about 1 million students took the exams in February and March and about 350,000 failed it.

The massive failure led to protests from parents, students, and political parties, Fox News reported. Some parents believe the extent of failure in the exams is due to an electronic glitch.

Sadly, some students couldn’t handle the failure and they took their lives.

In the latest incident, a 19-year-old woman, Akrapu Mithi, hanged herself at Naginenipally village in Telangana state. She went to a private college in nearby Bibinagar town and was apparently depressed after the results were announced on April 18.

12-year-old girl commits suicide after being body shamed

One student named Sirisha even went as far as setting herself on fire over the weekend in Narayanpet district, Telangana state.

A letter from India’s Congress said, as reported by Latestly.com:

“Nearly 25 students are reported to have committed suicide due to the faulty results published by the TSBIE. Now, who should be made responsible for the deaths of 30 odd students? And who will compensate the agony caused to thousands of parents?”

On April 25, Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao promised that recounting and verification would be done on students who failed their exams.

He urged students not to kill themselves, adding that failing the exam isn’t the end of life.

A man who claims to be a close friend of Atiku’s parents, precisely his late father Garba Abubakar, alleged that neither of his parents was a Nigerian.
Avvording to a fresh documents filed by the All Progressives Congress (APC) before the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal in Abuja, the unnamed family friend gave details of Atiku’s early years and how his father died, the Nation reports.

The All Progressive Congress had earlier argued that the former Vice-President of Nigeria is of Cameroonian origin and not even a Nigerian by birth.

But in his response, Atiku said he was a Nigerian by birth because his parents were Nigerians.

“The parents of the 1st petitioner (Atiku) are both Fulani, a community/tribe indigenous to Nigeria.
“The 1st petitioner was born on 25th November, 1946 in Jada, Adamawa State by Nigerian parents and he is therefore a citizen of Nigeria by birth.
“The 1st petitioner’s mother, Aisha Kande was the grand-daughter of Inuwa Dutse who came to Jada as an itinerant trader too from Dutse in present day Jigawa State.
“The 1st petitioner’s father, Garba Atiku Abubakar was a Nigerian by birth who hailed from Wumo in present day Sokoto State while the mother, Aisha Kande was also a Nigerian who hailed from Dutse in present day Jigawa State.

But, in a statement filed by an APC witness, simply identified with the initials – ADM – the party repudiate Atiku’s claim.

The witness said:
“l, ADM, adult, Nigerian citizen of Adamawa State do hereby make oath and say as follows:

“That I was a close family friend to the 1st petitioner’s late father. I know the family and I am familiar with the 1st petitioner’s background: who was born on the 25th day of November, 1946 to a Fulani trader and farmer by name Garba Abubakar, from his second wife, Aisha Kande, in Jada village of Northern Cameroon.

“I know the 1st petitioner was named after his paternal grandfather, Atiku Abdulkadir and became the only child of his parents after his only sister died at infancy.

“I also know about the unfortunate incidence of the death of the 1st petitioner’s father in 1957, who drowned while crossing a river to Toungo. a neighbouring village to Jada in Northern Cameroon.

“I do know that the 1st petitioner has, in all his documentations that are made public in national dailies or official gazettes, stated that he hails from Jada town in Adamawa State, from Ganye Local Government Area, regarded as the mother of the whole Chamba ethnic group (Chamba tribe).

“I know as a fact that, as at the time the 1st petitioner was born on the 25th day of November, 1946 to a FulanI trader and farmer, Garba Abubakar, Jada village and other parts of Chamba land in the then Northern Cameroon, were still part of the British Cameroons and not Nigeria.

“None of the 1st petitioner’s parents or grandparents was born in Nigeria.

“The 1st petitioner‘s father died as a citizen of Northern Cameroon in 1957 prior to the referendum of 1st June, 1961 which made Northern Cameroon to become part of Nigeria.

“The 1st petitioner’s ancestral origin is deeply rooted in the then Northern Cameroon, not Nigeria and I know as a fact that the 1st petitioner is not a Nigerian citizen by birth

“I know that Ganye which incorporates the 1st petitioner’s birth place of Jada, was the headquarters of British Cameroons, but it joined Nigeria after the plebiscite.

“I know that Ganye was not part of Nigeria as at the time of the birth of the 1st petitioner; on 25th November 1946.“I am familiar with the historical antecedents of the birth place of the 1st petitioner.

“Ganye area had been entrusted to Britain by a League of Nations Mandate in 1919 and later as Trust Territory by the United Nations in 1946.

“With the defeat of Germany in World War I. Kamerun (as it was known at the time) became a League of Nations Mandate Territory and was split into French Cameroons and British Cameroons in 1919

“While France integrated the economy of its part of the Cameroons with that of the mother colonial France, the British on the other hand, administered its part (British Cameroons) from neighbouring Nigeria, making Jada, the 1st petitioner’s place of birth, a British franchise.

“I know that a plebiscite was held in British Cameroons to determine whether the people in that territory preferred to stay in Cameroon or unite with Nigeria.

“While Northern Cameroon preferred a union with Nigeria, the Southern Cameroon chose to align with the mother country.

“I know that on the 1st of June 1961, Northern Cameroon became a part of Nigeria and on the 1st of October 1961 the Southern Cameroonian territory dissolved and merged into the Republic of Cameroon.”
An aide to Atiku told The Nation last night that his principal would not respond to the issue.

A man has vowed to expose a centre after he experienced the examination malpractice there during a Common Entrance Exam over the weekend.

According to the man, parents at the center were contributing N20,000 each to the external invigilator to assist their children with their examination questions.

He wrote:

Nigeria is a great nation and will forever be a great nation. Nothing is wrong with my country, but some people are pretty determine to kill Nigeria.

I finally know what depression feels like after experiencing this on Saturday when I decided to help my neighbour take his son for common exterance examination, because they had a family emergency.

Whenever I see a group of parent gather during such exam I always know they are up to something. How do you pay bribe for someone to write common Common entrance examination for your child and the child is aware of this? How? How? How?

Is the question I was asking myself and its sad they were all Igbo parents. What is really wrong with us in this country? Are some people mad or madding or maded? I will make sure I expose that external invigilator when the results are out.

A corps member serving in Zamfara State, Mr Ferdinand Lorwuese Kutar, who reportedly died 3 days after his traditional wedding in Benue State, has been laid to rest.

Kutar was laid to rest on Saturday, April 27, in his hometown Tse Kutar Nyiev, in Guma Local Government Area of Benue State.

According to reports, he died on April 16, just three days after his traditional wedding, which held on April 13.

Hon. Abrahams Kwaghngu, the Principal Special Assistant to the Governor of Benue state on special duties, represented by Hon. Seta Boniface, the Special Assistant to the Governor on Environment presented his key note address to the family of Kuta.

In funeral oration Hon. Seta described the deceased as a hard working young man who was dedicated to any given assignment and focused in life, prayed God to grant his soul a peaceful rest in the Lord’s bosom and as well grant his family the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable demise of Mr. Ferdinard.

Some suspected internet fraudsters, aka yahoo boys have allegedly injured an Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC operative in Abuja, while resisting arrests during a raid on their hideout in the city.

According to reports, the Commission nabbed Mmizoro Chinedu and Utyo Philip, two suspected internet fraudsters at the Nigerian Army Resettlement Estate, Jikwoyi, Abuja.

The suspects were arrested following intelligence report that alleged that they were perpetrating internet fraud.

Reports have it that the suspects put up a fight while resisting arrest which resulted in injury on one of the EFCC operatives.

One of the suspects, Mmizoro Chinedu who wanted to conceal evidence against him threw his phone into the toilet but it was retrieved and is currently undergoing digital forensics investigation in the Commission.

Nigeria has become the 1st African team to win a World Curling Championship match after Tijani and Susana Cole defeated the French team at the World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship 2019 in Stavanger, Norway.

The couple celebrated wildly as France’s rock careened wide to end the mixed doubles game on Thursday afternoon.

Nigeria defeated France 8-5 at the 2019 mixed doubles world curling championship to become the first ever African country to win a match at the tournament.
