A Nigerian mother has captured the beautiful moment she visited her son on his 1st day at work.

The seemingly embarrassed young man could not hide his feelings, but he still had to be professional about the job.

He even offered to sell off some of the company's packages to his mum.

The obviously excited mum, however could not stop praying for him and she asked him to be a polite staff to all.

At a point in the video, she said " God will give you plenty customers my son, you hear!!" That is just typical of a Nigerian mother

A man was captured live on video jumping into the lagoon from the Awolowo Bridge in Lagos today.

The man who obviously intended to commit suicide walked to an area of the bridge and dived into the Lagoon.

Luckily for him, he was eventually rescued by the locals close to the spot where he jumped.

He is at the moment being treated at a nearby hospital after 1st responders picked him up in their boat.

The video of the fake prophet Dotun Ogunlade aka Woli Arole, who lured a married woman he met through Facebook, from Ilorin in Kwara State down to Oyo State, has surfaced on the internet.

The 25-year-old house wife, Bosede Oguntade, was lured to Igboora in Oyo State with a view to finding a solution to her economic and marital problems by the ‘pastor’ who is also known as ‘Arole Jesu’.

The suspect while speaking to journalists in the video, said he gained church experience from his former boss who happened to be a prophet of Cherubim and Seraphim.

He said,

“Me and the woman have been chatting on Facebook since January, this year. I later invited her to Igboora.

“Meanwhile, Mutiu, a friend had already told me about his challenges in life. He told me he was ready for money rituals. So, i decided to use the woman for money for him.

“When the woman later arrived from Ilorin, I went to pick her to Igbo-Ora, from Iseyin. On her arrival at my house, on 31st of May, this year, I gave her sleeping drugs after she complained about pains in her body, she slept off and I cut off her head, and arms. Her head was later burnt to ashes for money rituals.”

He however led the Commissioner of Police, Oyo State, Mr. Shina Olukolu and other security operatives to the spot where he buried the woman.

The indomitable Lioness of Cameroon have accused FIFA of racism over VAR after they crashed out at the ongoing Women's World Cup in France.

England's Lionesses kicked off the knock-out stage of the Women's World Cup with a 3-0 win against Cameroon.

Striker Ellen White tuck away England's second during the first half's injury time - before it was ruled offside by Chinese referee Qin Liang, then overturned using the VAR system.

Cameroon players furiously claimed Nikita Parris, who was offside, was part of the play - despite her standing on the left side of the pitch and not touching the ball.

VAR replays are not shown on big screens inside the stadium, though 'normal' replays were - some of which seemed to indicate to the Cameroon players they were being unfairly treated.

Half time was called moments later, with the BBC's Gabby Logan saying the Cameroonians had burst into tears in the tunnel and accused FIFA of racism.

A Nigerian woman selling spare part in Ghana has been attacked by some Ghanaian men who wanted her to leave their country.

In the video now going viral on social media, the woman could be heard asking the men what her crime was and they were only victimizing her because she is in their country

“You Can Do To Me Whatever You Like Cos I Am In Your Country" she said

She then reminded them of the numerous Ghanaians in Nigeria and no one is troubling them, neither making threats to their businesses.

The attack on the woman and her business has been condemned on social media as Nigerians who believe the government of Nigeria has refused to address the issue, since the attack started, took to social media to express their anger.

In recent weeks, Nigerians in Ghana have been under serious attacks by the citizens of the West African country who accused the Nigerians of coming into their country to perpetuate all sorts of crime and evils.

A suspected internet fraudster, yahoo boy arrested has said he got himself involved in scamming activities to get back what foreigners stole from their forefathers.

The suspect identified as Endurance Ahunwan, made this statment upon interrogation after his arrest by operatives of the special task force of the Uyo Zonal Office of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Thursday June 20, 2019.

Endurance and his accomplices were arrested at an apartment on Parliamentary Extension, Akai Efa, Calabar, the Cross River State capital, the agency reports.

The all male suspects are: Endurance Ahunwan (28), Nohuwan Frank (26), Dominic Chidiebere (28), Idehe Efosa (17), Patrick Edos (27),

Samuel Ukiwe (21) and Michael Edward 25.

Others are: Destiny Efe (17), Hope Yusuf (19), Harrison Esi (17) and Igbinigun Osamudia (17).

Seventeen-year-old Esi was found hiding in the roof of the apartment along with some of their tools of operation.

According to him, their leader, Ahunwan instructed him to conceal himself and the gadgets in the roof in order to prevent his arrest and confiscation of the tools.

“Our leader ordered me to hide in the ceiling with the gadgets so that I will not be nabbed also,” Esi said.

Upon arrest, Ahunwan the prime suspect, confessed that he recruited the team, saying they were paying back Europeans for stealing from their forefathers.

He also alleged that the parents of the arrested accomplices gave their consent and pleaded with him to help their children secure a means of livelihood.

Items recovered from the suspected fraudsters include: 10 laptops, eight internet modems, several sophisticated telephone handsets, including one iphone, technical devices and scam emails.

Instagram comedian Okiki DFT has alleged that some officers of the Nigeria Police Force stole his customized necklace and wristwatch after arresting him.

While reacting to his colleague Funny Toheeb's report on his ordeal in the hands of police officers who arrested him and accused him of being a yahoo boy, Okiki wrote that he was arrested recently and asked to bail himself.

After negotiating with the officers, he was then ordered to make cash withdrawals at an ATM spot. But before then, they had taken his necklace and wristwatch from him.

They however sped off with in their van after he turned his back at them when making cash withdrawal at the ATM.

He wrote:

Naso in my birthday on my way to @naijaloadedcomng interview that I was already late for , I now rushed down from a school after my presentation and test and then at igboefun on the island after I was coming from my house at lekki , they double crossed me, and then my Taxify as per say we never buy car yet.

So they stopped my Taxify and then instructed that I should come down Naso me I just say wo Baba I no Dey come down make dem search what ever dem won search for inside the ride so they did and then they were taking time and then their boss got down from their van and then instructed that I should go into the van so I just said aii let me just comply with them so I don’t waste more time cuz I was already late for my interview and then they pointed their AKs at me and then I just followed them so I won’t die.

So I entered their van and then they searched my stuffs in the car and then they drove me down to national theater inside the annoying island traffic and then to cut the long story of interrogations and shii they now collected my phone my custom Okiki chain and my wristwatch and said I should go and settle them and then I said aii they should give me my stuffs they said no why that ?

And I was like ah ahhnnn !!!! Like brooo why!!! So I said aii one of them would follow me and then they said” ah ahnn no ooo you won make people Dey snap us or me Dey put for internet “ and then as we argued I just said no they should at least give me my phone and then we argued over that one too and then I later collected only the phone.

In a chat that was posted on the platform, a man identified as Mr Benson contacted the lady who seemed to have undergone an interview at the company: Alpha Consulting.
The lady asked how Benson got her number since he started the conversation on an informal note. And since he didnt respond to her query on time, she blocked him.

It was then after he had been blocked that he now gave the details of the company he was working for.

Now the controversy trailing the chat on social media is who should absolve the blame.

Should it be Chioma? Whom many users believe was right to ask the man where he got her number from since he didn't introduce himself as a staff of the company from inception of the chat.

Should it be Benson? Whom many believed had the responsibility of being formal with the communication right from when he hit her DM.

Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano State has ordered a full probe to the incident of a gorilla swallowing N6.8million at a Zoo Garden in the state


A finance officer in the zoo was quoted as saying the gorilla “sneaked into their office” and carted away the money, before swallowing it, Daily Post reports.

Umar Kobo, the managing director of the zoo, confirmed that the money is missing and that the issue is being investigated.

“The issue is under investigations for now and I don’t want to say anything on the matter, many journalists have come to meet me but I don’t want to talk anything.

“What I can confirm is that money is missing,” Kobo said.

Abdullahi Haruna, the Police spokesman in Kano, was quoted as confirming that 10 persons, including those on duty when the money went missing, have been arrested.

“Yes, it is true that money from five days of Sallah festivities is missing from the Kano zoo,” he reportedly said, adding: “As at now, we have arrested 10 members of staff of the zoo including the security man and those working in the finance unit.”

But reacting, Ganduje ordered the State Anti-Corruption Commission to probe the missing
N6.8m.

The order was given in a statement issued by Abba Anwar, Chief Press Secretary to Gov Ganduje.

The statement added that Ganduje also asked the Commission to look into the immediate and remote cause of the allegation, directing them to unearth everything surrounding the incident.

A Nigerian man has reportedly stopped paying his daughter's school fee after she asked him to wash his dishes after meal.

According to a post updated on social media by Dr. Olusesan, the lady is studying in the United Kingdom and during one of his visits, the daughter asked him to wash his plates by himself.

The mother however has been at loggerhead with her husband over his decision.

There's danger, daughters have begin to assimilate this toxicity. It started like a joke, when a Nigerian female student in a UK school, ask her father to wash his plates after meals, during visits. The man has stopped paying her fees, and her mother is saying "men are scum."

While supporting the motion that men should not do dishes in the home, Olusesan wrote that men are saddled with bigger responsibilities of providing for the home and they should not be relegated to do such tasks, except when there is the need to support the woman.

Down d road, doing dishes should become a trivial duty, as men pick up more burden to provide for the family. Except where the woman is over-laboured, excusing a man from chores is a courtesy and honour that will never be properly appreciated in poorly consummated relationships." he wrote

Nollywood actor, Deyemi Okanlawon has admonished single ladies not to pray for a man that is good in bed while seeking for a husband.

A Nigerian referee escaped death yesterday at the Agege Stadium, Lagos when Kano Pillars fans attacked him after their Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) Super Six fixture against Enugu Rangers.

Both teams battled to a 1-1 draw in the first match of the day in the ongoing Super-Six, but the violence that greeted the match will be in the front burner rather than the scoreline, Premium Times reports.

Fans later went on a rampage when they encroached into the pitch of the Agege Stadium, throwing dangerous objects at match officials.

Kano Pillars had taken the lead in Monday’s encounter when their captain, Rabiu Ali curled in a beautiful free kick in the 54th minute.

Pillars had a shout for a penalty kick afterwards but the centre referee, Quadri Adebimpe waved it off to the dismay of the players and the fans who started getting agitated.

The situation turned worse when Rangers few minutes to the end of the game were awarded a penalty. The fans started hurling objects into the field.

While six minutes added time was given, Rabiu Ali’s free-kick was delayed due to the fan’s disturbances and soon after the kick was made, the referee sounded the final whistle which infuriated the Kano Pillars captain.

Ali, one of the veterans in the NPFL, went straight to the referee barking at him and seemed to be asking him to show his stoppage time.

With the atmosphere getting further tensed, Referee Adebimpe had to run for his life due as the fans went after him.

Over N10 million has been paid in fines by clubs for the violent conduct of their fans during the regular season.

It is yet to be seen how the League Management Company, organisers of the league will react to this latest show of shame.

Reality TV star, Khloe has called out a Uber driver identified as Abdulsalam Lanre over an alleged assault.

According to the former Big Brother Naija contestant, she ordered for a ride after missing her flight, but the driver presented himself as an aggressive person and after exchange of words, he ordered her out of his car.

She further stated that his colleagues at the airport later joined him to assault her and even threatened to always show celebrities pepper over their haughty attitudes.

She took to Instagram to write:

Dear @ubernigeria I don’t know how you pick your drivers but this people are not human and it’s heartbreaking because we travel and see how Uber drivers in other country treat us .
So I missed my flight at the old airport and ordered Uber.

Hon. Abok Ayuba, a 33-year-old 500-level student of Law at the University of Jos, has been elected as Speaker of The 9th Plateau State House of Assembly.

The newly-elected Speaker, who represents Jos East constituency, was unanimously elected by members at the Assembly’s inaugural sitting, without subjecting it through an electoral process, Concise News reports.

The election followed a nomination by the member representing Jos North-North constituency, Hon. Ibrahim Baba-Hassan, and was seconded by member representing Jos North-West constituency, Hon. Esther Simi Dusu.

Similarly, the Assembly re-elected the immediate past deputy, Hon. Salleh Yipmong, representing Dengi constituency as its Deputy Speaker.

In his acceptance speech, the newly-elected Speaker thanked his colleagues for the confidence reposed on him and promised not to fail them.

Ayuba assured fellow members that his leadership will not discriminate based on tribe, religion, gender or political affiliations.

“As speaker of this noble assembly, I promise to serve with the fear of God, trust and humility,” he stresses.

Ayuba’s emergence comes as Oyo Assembly elected 32-year-old Adebo Ogundoyin as Speaker. Like Ayuba, Ogundoyin was chosen unopposed and with the unanimous voice vote of the 32 members Assembly.

A Video of Police officers chasing touts with their Patrol van in Lagos, has surfaced on social media.

The video was shared by a Deputy Commissioner of Police and Commander, Rapid Response Squad (RRS) in Lagos, DCP Tunji Disu.

According to the DCP, the officers received intel that some teenagers were attacking passers-by under the Berger Bridge in Lagos and they acted accordingly.

The teenagers upon sighting the police vehicle however took to their heels while the patrol vehicle took chase.

The entire scene was captured by a camera attached to the Patrol van

He wrote as caption on the video:

a few minutes ago, on information that some “teenagers “were attacking passengers under Berger bridge.....

It was not however ascertained if the street urchins were arrested by the officers.

Nigerians in their reaction to the video commended the police officers for their action and then gave further recommendations on how they could use technological innovations to curb crime within Lagos State.

Ghanaian model, Grace Ama Mensimah Amponsah, the 2018 winner of Ghana’s Next Super Model event, has gone missing a day after arriving in Paris where she had been billed to feature at 4 major shows in Monaco at the just concluded Cannes Films Festival.

She was also billed to have meetings with the worlds leading modeling agency Elite Models, in Paris. 

According to reports from Ghana, she had already done shows in Nigeria,Ghana and Amsterdam with world class designers including Diana Pinto, Smocky world and Kingsley Ushie and has already been flown to Portugal and Amsterdam to participate in the International Fashion weeks and the current trip was to solidify her status with modelling agencies in all the major fashion capitals.

During the trip to Paris, her management claimed they stepped out of their rented apartment to buy drinks only to return to a locked door. Later when they broke into the apartment worried about the safety of Grace, they found she had disappeared along with her passport and other documents leaving behind her luggage.

After Grace’ disappearance, her management contacted the Paris police and they saw her on CCTV as she ran away.

Further investigation discovered that the plot to vanish in Paris was a scheme conceived by her family and planned even before her departure from Ghana.

According to her management, the plan was assisted by Sarah Essien (her mother) who provided Grace the information on how to escape and link with family members already in France.

A motorcycle on high speed has split into two pieces after a head-on collision with a patrol car in north Oregon.

The incident, which reportedly happened on June 2 was captured live by a dashcam footage just released by the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the sheriff’s office, the rider lost control of his motorcycle along Highway 211 and slid off the bike as it went under the patrol car.

Both the rider and the officer driving the patrol vehicle suffered minor injuries, but the bike was split in two from the impact.

This video shows the moment of impact as well as the remains of the bike in the aftermath of the accident.

The rider was taken to hospital and issued citations for Reckless Driving, not having a motorcycle endorsement, and lacking insurance.

A Nigerian man has taken to Twitter to reveal that Super Falcons player Rita Chikwelu was his classmate in primary school and she handed him a beating he has not forgotten till today.

The user identified as @emybuddy shared the photo of the player on his handle and said he is not surprised she ended up a footballer.

Recall that while in BBN, Vandora had stated that her ex-boyfriend raped her repeatedly by having sex with her while she was asleep and without her consent.

Though she stated that the incident happened a very long time ago, but for the fact that she didn't consent to the act, then it should be termed as rape.

The former Big Brother Naija contestant recently celebrated her birthday and her boyfriend showered her with so much love while writing a beautiful note to her via his social media profile

In his caption, he shared that Vandora is his best friend and one of the smartest persons he knows and loves how she’s humble about it.

So many Nigerians have taken their lives by drinking Sniper, that deadly insecticide, which is just meant to rid the home of unwanted insects and bugs, but being abused by people with the intention to commit suicide.

A Nigerian April Wolf gave detail on what happens to your body after drinking Sniper and it is just an ordeal no one wants to experience.

Sniper is not an easy killer, it's an organ eating ,liquid monster.

When you blindly drink sniper, that you want to kill yourself, this is what will happen to you....

1. Your eyeballs will swim in its own water as forced tears escapes from its reservoir

2. You will have serious discharges from your nose...oh, it's late, you will have no control over these happenings now.

3. A banging migraine will set in. You will hold unto your head and scream like it wants to explode..

4. Your chest will tighten, forcing close , making sure that your body have lost control over it.

5. You will be on the floor by now, screaming through all your senses, as saliva pours out from your mouth like a slow, mini river.

6. You will mess yourself up with vomiting, and you will long to vomit your intestines too, to be relieved, cos you are now in so much regrets for taking the sniper, but ah,ah,ah...sniper must finish it's job.

7. The rest of the crises comes in turns as you shit all over yourself ...sweating ,muscle fasciculation, your blood pressure will go down low, convulsions, then, your life will be squeezed out of you through the shutting down of your lungs and kidney....cardiac arrest will aid your departure.

They will meet you when you are dead, with your eyes open, drooling, a lot of poo in your underwear, your body twisted in a strange position as you tried to fight off the pain and crises, and they will observe the signs of struggle in the room you took the sniper...cos you will climb the walls, tear the sheets, rip some of your hair off, just to quail the killing pain.. some run off from their houses,screaming for people to help them, that they drank sniper, that's how they ended up in the hospital.

If you are lucky, your system could be flushed when it has not shut down everything, if you are unlucky, you will die on your way to the hospital, or in the hospital...but in your dead eyes, the last memorial record in it, before your terrorized brain, shuts down, is "regrets".

You can see, it's not an easy death.

Should in case you are among those, waiting on queue to snipe yourself out..the dead cannot come back to tell you their experiences with sniper...that 100ml ,200/300 naira otapiapia, is a terminator..a gradually, ruthless, wicked terminator.

You are deceived when they make you believe that sniper is the easier way out, no, it will slowly devour you from the inside, as it shuts down your organs one by one in a tearing order.

It's only a bullet to your head, measured well, not to miss the brain, that can be the fast killer you anticipated, not sniper.

If you are depressed, drink more of cold juices, while you think your way out. Suicide is not a joke.

A Lagos beggar has surprised his helper after he refused to accept sachet water from him, and insisted on getting bottled water.

Facebook user identified as Martin Beck Nworah who took to the platform shared the experience he had with the Lagos beggar and then used the medium to enlighten people on having a sense of entitlement to what does not even belong to them.

His post reads ;

Two things made me snap this picture on Saturday at Obalende.
I was waiting for my partner to link up for our Lekki movement to gather interviews for Tales Of Nigerians when the guy in this picture came to stand beside me.

The woman who dropped that bowel of beverages ran around to sell to people and run back. So I kept an eye over her wares while waiting for my partner to arrive.

This guy spoke in Yoruba (I understand better Yoruba now) and was begging the woman to give him water to drink. She told him to go across the road and collect a free “pure water” in the normal sachet. But he didn’t want to go, he wanted the plastic water. So he kept nagging.

He stood there and saw the woman running around, yet he didn’t extend a hand to help her. He kept on complaining how she doesn’t want to help him. I asked him if he had any deformity or issues and he said no. I told him to go across the street and collect the pure water as the woman told him but he said no.

He looked really battered from his looks, more like a street guy. When the woman got tired of the guy standing there, she ran across the street to get the water and give it to the guy.

Clearly, from the little exchange we had there, this poor guy needed help. He wanted water. But he was a beggar with a strong sense of entitlement. I really don’t know where that came from.

Oh, after getting the water, he started asking for a drink…LOL.

But I think I understand something about being poor, because it is a background I can relate with.
Many times, we feel everybody else owes us something. We blame everyone else for our shortcomings and bad lucks because they are the witches and wizards stopping our shine. But bring a little task and they won’t do it. They will easily get tired and lazy around.

This guy is just a reflection of what our larger society is gradually becoming, where people hide behind their keypads to pass judgment and wield strong feelings of entitlement for reasons best known to them.
He could’ve elected to help this woman look after her drinks but he didn’t. He could’ve gone across the road to collect the water but he didn’t.

Well, as the son of Nebu, there are few things I can publicly complain about. Nobody owes me anything to make my life awesome. It is my responsibility and when I find kind-hearted people who support me, I am deeply grateful to the universe.

Till we get to the Promised Land, I shall be waiting for when you will pass me a glass of water and thank God for the gift of grace for the race.

A businessman from Bahrain is already building a home for a Peruvian boy after he was captured on camera studying under the street light in his local area.

Victor Angulo, 12, was seen on CCTV in March as he studied underneath a street lamp in the town of Moche because his home has no electricity.

The video of the boy completing his homework in the street went viral on Instagram and caught the attention of Yaqoob Mubarak, who last month flew to Peru to meet the boy and his family, Sky News reports.

Mubarak returned to Moche over the weekend to start work on the house.

Mr Mubarak said:

"This kid will make a big story, a big success story for all the kids in the world.

"I am going to sign this contract in front of you, already bought 15 computers to open the new computer class."

Mr Mubarak has promised to give the family money to start a business and gave one of Victor's friends, who is disabled, a wheelchair.

Victor said:

"Yaqoob Mubarak, I want to thank you for all that you are doing for us, for the children of the school, as well as for Alvaro who is one of our brothers, you are helping him, and for that we thank you very much."

Mr Mubarak was honoured with keys to the town and various medals when he went to Moche, which is about 340 miles (550km) from Lima.

He also visited the boy's home, and has promised to take Victor and his mother to visit Bahrain later this year.

Levi, a media personality and the former Group General Manager of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, Public Affairs Division was among the 153 passengers that died in the ill-fated Dana Air plane crash on June 3rd 2012.

Taking to Instagram, his son, DJ Obi shared some powerful words as he remembers his father.

I was such a knuckle head, took so long to finish with school. And just when it happened, BOOM! Two weeks after you were gone.

To everyone reading this that still have their parents around. Hug them a lil tighter and longer.

A graduate identified as Pok Wong who sued her university over her useless degree has received a £60,000 out-of-court settlement.

Pok Wong graduated with a first in international business strategy from Anglia Ruskin University in 2013.

But she claimed the university "exaggerated the prospects of a career" and sued them for false advertising.

A spokesperson for Anglia Ruskin University said the settlement was agreed with their insurer's solicitors, and they did not support it.

Pok Wong, also known as Fiona, said claims made in the university's prospectus were untrue.

She told the BBC in 2018:

"They think we're international students [and] we come here to pay our money for a piece of paper, for the degree.

"But actually we care about the quality, we care about how much we could learn.

"They exaggerated the prospects of a career studying with them, and also they exaggerate how connected they are."

Last year, the County Court of Central London ruled in the university's favour and ordered Ms Wong to pay £13,700 of Anglia Ruskin's legal costs.

But the university's insurers wrote to the former student, offering to settle her £15,000 claim, plus the payment of her legal costs.

An Anglia Ruskin University spokesman said Ms Wong's litigation "has been rejected numerous times and has never been upheld".

They said they did not support their insurer's solicitors decision, adding: "We consider that they acted negligently and against the university's interests."

But Ms Wong wrote on Facebook that, despite the university denying any wrongdoing, "the payout is a proven victory".

Anthony Joshua loses to Andy Ruiz Jr in one of the greatest upsets in the history of the sport.

Despite Anthony Joshua putting Ruiz down in round three, the new champion went on to put Joshua down twice in the same round before disrupting whatever plans Joshua had with his hand speed and power.

Anthony Joshua seems confused throughout the fight and was largely fighting to survive despite been the bigger man.

This shock was almost as seismic as Mike Tyson’s defeat by Buster Douglas. Not quite as massive since Joshua has not achieved such greatness as Iron Mike but remarkable because it was delivered by a Mexican warrior we had foolishly under-rated because of his unathletic appearance.

And Tyson did not surrender the way Joshua did after one minute and 27 seconds of the seventh round.

Joshua, with however much of his self-belief is left, will enforce his rematch clause but there can be no certainty that the outcome will be any different. Even though that fight will be in London.

Whether he will ever fight his nemesis Deontay Wilder again, let alone for the cherished undisputed championship, is hardly a question worth putting now.

Veteran Yoruba actor Fadeyi Oloro whose real name is Ojo Arowosafe has stated the reason why he would love to go back to school to complete hi education.

The actor, who is presently recuperating after an illness, while speaking in a chat with The Nation, said he dropped out at Primary Three but noted that he can easily pick out people’s mistakes when speaking to him in English.

“People do not know that I dropped out at P rimary Three,” he said.

“But I have been able to brush up myself and for this, I can easily pick out mistakes when people are communicating with me.

“I have a lot to do in the industry and I am not yet there. This is why I intend to go back to school and have my certificate in a course that will be beneficial to me when I fully come back.

“And when I am back, I will be producing my own movies. And with this I can easily promote my work myself in a way that is different from what I have been doing in the past. I still have a long way to go in this industry; I am yet to give my best.”

The actor became popular in Jimoh Aliu’s production, ‘Yanpon Yanrin.’

No fewer than 60,000 candidates sat Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC test which held today across the country.

The Chief Operating Officer Corporate Services, Mr Isaiah Inuwa, disclosed this to newsmen while monitoring some of the CBT centres in Abuja.

He said that the exam was ongoing in about 94 centers in 22 states.

“This is fantastic, you can see everything is going on well. We have two centres here and you see the orderly way people are being screened for accreditation.

“What you see here is on going in about 94 centres in 22 states across the federation.

“This is another way the corporation is showing transparency in carrying out its activities and this has also given Nigerians the opportunity to hold their leaders accountable.

“All the candidates are scheduled with time. Some 8am, some 9am and the questions are not the same because they are computer generated,” he said.

He said that the corporation in collaboration with some institution worked together to ensure the success of the programme.

Some of the the candidates who spoke to newsmen said that the process had been transparent so far.

Mr Nkwouh Charles, a candidate at Sanscon International School center in Maitama said:

“The process was smooth, we were identified and given accreditation. There was no confusion here and they started in good time.

“I wrote for graduate category and I am just coming out from the exam hall. I am very hopeful,” he said.

Mr Abraham Joshua, at JC Best International School centre Life camp, said that apart from not starting in good time, acreditation was fast and okay.

“I commended the NNPC for this, this is the first time I have been invited for an interview since I have been applying for jobs.

“I do not know anybody but short listing me in the first place gave me hope that this process will work.

“I believe that since I have gotten to this stage that I will be successful. I am very hopeful,” he added.

But Mr Tunji Ade at the same centre who was supposed to write at 10am but as at 11.30am had not gotten acredidattion frowned at the delay.

“Nobody had told us anything but I learnt that they did not start early here.

“I will wait until it is my turn but I am not happy with the delay in time,” he said.

Armed security personnel were present at the various centres visited within the FCT.
