Popular internet celebrity Mompha arrives in the Lagos Federal High Court to face money laundering charges by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

Mompha will be arraigned on a 14 counts charge bordering on cyber fraud and money laundering.

EFCC had arrested Mompha for alleged internet fraud and money laundering recently at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.

A serial POS scammer was caught this morning in the Ayobo area of Lagos.

The man who identified himself as Raph and reported to be notorious in the art of scamming POS shops around Lagos, said he is from Benin State and this was his first time of engaging in the act.

A lady who posted the video on social media wrote:

People please be very careful, this man was caught in my area, (Bada in Ayobo Ipaja) he goes about sending fake alert to POS shops and receiving cash from them.. He has done this act severally in a friends POS shop and has succeeded but was caught on this faithful day. Plsss take note of his face in order not to fall victim to his scam.

He said he does the act because he is asthmatic, he claim he came all the way from Benin which obvious is a lie because he seems Yoruba. He also claim its his first time performing this act which is also a lie because he has done it and succeeded severally more than three POS out let. He is even a car owner bt claims he picked his car key on the ground.

He has been handed over to the police (Ayobo division) for proper questioning.

Nigerian singer Burna Boy has been nominated for the 2020 Grammy Awards!

The singer was listed among the nominations for the coming award, which was announced on November 20, 2019.

Burna Boy's album, African Giant got nominated in the Best World Album category. He was nominated in the category alongside Altin Gün for Gece, Bokanté & Metropole Orkest Conducted By Jules Buckley for What Heat, Nathalie Joachim With Spektral Quartet for Fanm D'Ayiti, and Angelique Kidjo for Celia.

The major award itself will be held on January 26, 2020 and it will be hosted by Alicia Keys. Nominees were led by Lizzo with eight nominations. She is followed by Billie Eilish and Lil Nas X with six nominations.

Burna Boy follows in the footsteps of Seun Kuti, Femi Kuti and King Sunny Ade in getting nominated for that category at the Grammy Awards.

Other Nigerian nominees include, Babatune Olatunji, Wizkid, Timaya and Kah Lo. The only Nigerian to win a Grammy Award remains Sikiru Adepoju.

A bus driver identified as Jacob Semekor Mordzifa, graduates with a 1st class in Geography and Resource Development, at the University of Ghana after he obtained a final grade point average (FGPA) of 3.91.

Jacob was the cynosure of all eyes at the convocation ceremony of the university as he was named as one of the best graduating students at the University of Ghana at its just ended November 2019 Congregation ceremonies.

While speaking with JoyNews, he mentioned that after his secondary education in Sogakope Senior High School, he had gained admission to the University of Ghana in 2005 but could not go to the school at that time because his family did not have the wherewithal to support him.

Well, Mordzifa opted for driving a commercial car out of necessity to make ends meet and then save towards furthering his education.

“My driving force was the fact that out of a non-educated family of 21, with 6 wives to my dad, I could be the one to go to school and bring some light to the house,” he is quoted as saying.

Since going to the university straightaway was difficult for him, he enrolled at the Akropong-Akuapem Teacher Training College with the savings from his driving work.

While in the teacher training college, Mordzifa was saving his allowance towards his university education.

Fortunately, he gained Admission in 2015 and with his ambition to become a decorated academic and astute lecturer, he took his studies seriously and has now graduated with first class.

Despite getting married in 2017 in the middle of his university education, the young man didn’t allow family and its issues to distort his dream.

Congratulations to Jacob Semekor Mordzifa. He is an inspiration to many young people.

A Ghanaian man who claimed there is no power in the Bible as the Christians claim, burns it to ashes.

Nigerian singer Dbanj has confirmed that his wife, Lineo Didi Kilgrow, will give birth in a few months time.

The singer made the revelation while speaking on a show on Beat 99.9FM. Lagos where he was being asked how he has been coping since the death of his son last year.

A Nigerian man identified as Abodunrin Olatunde Nathaniel has taken to Facebook to narrate his current ordeal with life and how it is driving him to commit suicide.

In his post, he gave a narration of how he was robbed of a huge amount of cash, which was the property of a certain group he belonged to.

He was forced to look for means to repay the loan, which has not been easy for him, as this, he said, has robbed him of his own life.

The challenge I am currently passing through has almost torn me apart that I am almost fed up with life itself.

My ordeal started a few months ago after I fell victim of robbery attack from a group of four armed men just a stone throw from my workplace around Gowon Estate. That evening, as I left the bank and was to cross the road to the other side, I saw two guys also cross with me, they were not looking dangerous so I didn’t really care about them, I thought they were just normal guys trying to cross the road like me, at the other side of the road two guys were also seen standing but I didn’t know they were thieves

Just as I crossed the road and got to a particular corner, all of a sudden, I just found myself being surrounded by those four guys, I didn’t know they were together, they placed me at the Centre, brought out their knives and threatened to stab and leave me for dead if I don’t cooperate, they told me that it doesn’t cost them anything to kill me.

So at that point I just had to obey all their orders. That night, I was carrying some money that belonged to a group I belonged, I went to withdraw the money for them after they requested for it. They dispossessed me of that money and fled on bikes, they had an organized gang. I had to repay the money from my personal pocket.

Just some days after the robbery incidence, while on official assignment from my workplace, I narrowly escaped death when I boarded a commercial motorcycle to beat the hold up so that I can get to where I wanted to work very quickly. Initially I had boarded a motor vehicle, but because of the hold up, I alighted and boarded the motorcycle.

Myself, the rider and the other passenger who were total strangers to eachother had a terrible accident that day and I broke my hand. I spent just a week at home and resumed back to work with bandage the next week. I so much believe in hard work, so I didn’t want to constrain myself to a position. During that period I resorted to prayer because I knew some things were not right.

The debt repayment had made me become very broke, but being a very ambitious person that I am, coupled with my desires to be an achiever by working hard, I never wanted my previous predicaments to stop me from moving on, I went to the bank and took a loan to re-start the journey, I was introduced to an online business which promised heaven and earth with irresistible promises and proofs so I ventured into it, but in the end it yielded nothing, this time again, it wasn’t my money but the bank’s.

This disappointment changed my countenance and affected me emotionally and I really craved death at that time. Still in the midst of the shock, while I went for an open air revival and prayers, my new phone which I bought a week before I was robbed got stolen.

Dejected and horrified, I asked myself ”what is my offence” to the best of my knowledge, I didn’t think I deserved all these. I told God to search my heart and look at the things I had vowed to do with His blessings in my life, but it seems all my hopes along this line was dashed.

The situation climaxed when the bank started sending me overdue payment reminders and calls, something was speaking to me to go and kill myself, saying that is the only escape route, the impression was so much in my heart like a command, I didn’t want to because I knew the implication, but the thought kept coming over and over again, it was during this stong moments that I wrote my facebook post.

Currently I’m still troubled and depessed because of the debts, these are trying times for me I pray I overcome

I equally do not flog her at all,i only knock her or draw her ear to correct her whenever she makes mistakes, and i don't do this often because she was very obedient and smart.


Oh! How i trusted Agatha��.. If anyone told me she could do this to my son, i will insult the hell out of him/her. She was an excellent and super smart pretender,scheming her way into gaining our trust. I trusted her with my son, the keys to my bulk food and provisions store room and even my personal room to clean atimes.

It happened on 3rd of July that i decided to bathe my son by myself, because Agatha has been d one bathing him since i was 6months pregnant and wworking in a pharmacy where we run evening and weekend shifts. On that fateful day, she rushed to me in d bathroom showing me cane marks on Prince's back,tummy and face,saying its d class teacher that flogged him, i kept asking who is the heartless person that will flog a 2yr+ old like that,


In less than one hour, my son vomitted more than 7 times,i knew something was seriously wrong because my son never vomits, even all through his teething and vaccinations,he hardly runs temperature or falls ill,he is extremely strong and healthy. Infact since i left the hospital after his delivery,i never stepped the hospital until 1y+.

A Nigerian Christian street preacher who was handcuffed and arrested by UK Police for constituting nuisance on the street, has been awarded £2,500 for wrongful arrest.

Oluwole Ilesanmi, 64, has welcomed the payout by the Metropolitan Police as a victory for freedom of speech after he was wrongly accused of Islamophobia.

The former dentist was preaching outside Southgate Tube station in North London in February when he was approached by two officers. A passer-by had earlier called police and accused Mr. Ilesanmi of hate speech.

He admitted to having described Islam as an ‘aberration’ but insists he was simply expressing his point of view as a Christian rather than denigrating Muslims. One of the police officers claimed Mr. Ilesanmi was disturbing the peace, saying: ‘No one wants to hear that. They want you to go away.’

He was handcuffed before the officer gave a thumbs-up to the camera. Mr. Ilesanmi was then bundled into a police car and driven several miles away. There the grandfather was ‘de-arrested’ and let out of the car.

Scotland Yard has now agreed to pay Mr. Ilesanmi £2,500 for wrongful arrest and his humiliating and distressing treatment.

Mr. Ilesanmi told UK's The Mail on Sunday:

‘I believe God loves everyone, including Muslims, but I have the right to say I that I don’t agree with Islam we are living in a Christian country, after all. I was upset when they took away my Bible. They just threw it in the police car. They would never have done that if it had been the Koran. Whatever happened to freedom of speech?’

In the video, the Police Officer told him no one wants to listen to his preaching and Ilesanmi replied saying

"You will listen when you are dead"

A lady has taken it upon herself to free a couple allegedly tied together with candle statues in Aba.

In the video we sighted on social media, the bound statues were reportedly washed to where the lady and her friends were and they decided to free the couple who could have been spelled with the statues.

American singer, Akon, who is currently in Nigeria, was spotted yesterday in Idumota market in Lagos having fun with market people.

After the Saturday night party in the Big Brother Naija house, Seyi was seen flirting with Tacha and he was captured on video sniffing the housemate body.

Seyi who appeared drunk after the party was all over Tacha and could be seen trailing her almost everywhere she went.

Saidi Balogun and his former wife Faithia Williams have re-united once again. But this time, it was on the set of a movie.

The movie reportedly produced by Faithia Williams, features her ex-husband Saidi Balogun just 13 years after their marriage crashed.

Its not clear when the new movie will be released, but from the behind-the-scene photos released, the estranged couple seem to have put behind their differences.

Although the couple has been spotted together on numerous occasions, one was when they came together to celebrate with their son at an event.

Saidi’s son, Khalid, whom he had with Fathia, graduated from secondary school in 2018. The celebration of his graduation saw the two ex-lovers reunite as a family after a long time.
