[s] godoluwa: I'm not ashamed to be against APC adminsitration & all APC Zombies & here are some of the reasons why I dsilike APC & their followers.
1. APC has nothing good offer the masses
2. They are always happy anytime boko haram strike during the tenure of GEJ
3. Buhari never contributed anything on how to end boko haram menace during GEJ era instead his party always used the loss of peoples lives to convince the masses to vote for their party To the best of my knowledge, anybody that has the love of his people in his heart will not folds his arms while the country burns simply because he is an opposition to the party that is in power. lets take the recent attack in France as a case study, the opposition leader didnt use the attack to canvass vote for his party but instead he gave his advice on how to prevent future occurence of such incidence GEJ has his own bad sides but his tenure is far better than OBJ tenure. carefully looking at the people that made up PMB cabinets shows that APC is a party of deceit which still practice come & chop your own types of politics. some will say 6months is too short to judge a party at the national level but I want you all to carefully investigate how impoverised most of the APC governed states are. Take Osun state as a case study, some people says Aregbesola was unable to pay workers salaries due to the fact that Osun states allocations was slashed by GEJ admisnistration, GEJ is out since 7months ago but Aregesola is yet to pay the workers. APC never said anything about Aregbesola opon imo scam despite the millions spent on that white elephant project. Recently, we heard that Okorocha spent over 600million on Christmas village while he owes workers about 4months salary. Here in Oyo states, Ajimobi is owing Oyo states workers salaries, & for over 4 years of Ajimoni tenure there is no reasonable projects that his administration can boast of. The proposed Technical University is now a white elephant despite the millions that Ajimobi administration claimed to have spent with nothing to show for it. Now, public school student pays school fees still APC claims they are offring free education.
The recent elections in Bayelsa & Kogi shows what the future of elections in Nigeria will be. Has APC ever condemned the activities of any of their governors that maltreat his people? instead they will keep mute while the people languish in suffering. Any political party or politician that plays politics with loss of citizen lives is wicked.
Some will take this post as a message of hatred, some will call it disjointed but before the end of first quater of next year, many eyes will be opened to reality. [/s] ^^^ rubbish |

Politics › Ekiti Debt: Fayose Will Go To Jail After Tenure, Says APC by emamos(op): 6:06am On Dec 25, 2015 |
The Ekiti State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has told the state Governor, Ayodele Fayose, that it would have his days in the courts over fabricated figures on the state’s debts to deceive the people and paint former Governor, Kayode Fayemi, in bad light. Reacting to the claims by Fayose’s media aide, Lere Olayinka, that Fayemi plunged the state into debts without any commensurate development projects to show for it, the party’s Publicity Secretary, Taiwo Olatunbosun, said in a statement that it was only the blind that would not see various development projects executed by the former governor. “Fayemi did not borrow to pay salary. He received awards from many international bodies, including the United Nations’ agency and top Nigerians, for the feats he recorded in development projects, the last being the award for the state that led in budget transparency among other states in Nigeria that Fayose tried to usurp. “Fayose lied that Fayemi at a point, collected N9 billion as monthly federal allocation. The records are there that the state monthly share of federal allocation remained N2.8 billion throughout and the biggest being N3.2 billion when excess crude oil fund was shared among the states. “The former governor owed one month salary, and that was September 2014, and this was as a result of Fayose as governor-elect writing the banks not to honour Fayemi’s credit facility to pay workers salary and pay the banks back after receiving the allocation for the month in question,” Olatunbosun explained. He added: “Fayemi paid N2.2 billion monthly for salaries, pensions and subventions to higher institutions throughout his tenure. “With thousands of workers losing their jobs and many social services suspended, including stoppage of social security stipends to the elderly when Fayose became the governor, monthly wage bill has reduced to less than N2billion contrary to N2.6billion that Fayose is claiming as the monthly wage bill.” He challenged the governor to produce the official debt figure of the State that is different from N18billion that the Debts Management Office declared was the state’s debt, saying Fayose was lying by quoting N232billion. “Fayose is a pathological liar by his claim that the state debt is 232.9billion to be paid back in 21 years. The Federal Ministry of Finance published the state allocations in the newspapers few days ago with the state receiving N1.9billion but Fayose declared that he received N1.3billion. “This is a man who has introduced all manner of taxes that he can’t account for, yet he comes everyday declaring that the state is broke. “We hereby issue him a deadline of seven days to render accounts of all monies he has received since he assumed office, including various taxes he imposed on the people. “The civil servants who he owed three months salaries and allowances as well as Ekiti people generally deserve to know how their money is being spent.” Failure to do this will compel APC to mobilise civil society groups and all men of good conscience to press for the investigation and prosecution of Fayose who has made lying his official government policy,” Olatunbosun concluded lalasticlala http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/ekiti-debt-fayose-will-go-to-jail-after-tenure-says-apc/228821/. |

Politics › Withdraw Your Sack Threat, Meet Our Demands – Doctors Tell Aregbesola by emamos(op): 9:22pm On Dec 24, 2015 |
National Association of Government General Medical and Dental Practitioners has asked Osun State Governor, Mr. Rauf Aregbesola, to withdraw his sack threat. President, NAGG, MDP, Dr. Nurud-din Akindele, stated this on Thursday at a press conference in Oshogbo. Members of Association of Resident Doctors and doctors in state government-owned hospitals have been on strike since September 28 over salary issues. Osun has been paying 50 per cent of their salaries since June but the doctors said they wanted the state government to reach an agreement on when to pay the balance. Akindele said “The government of Osun State should as a matter of urgency and in the interest of the public, invest in equipping the hospitals with up-to-date equipment, provide adequate manpower and make the work environment more conducive. “Government should withdraw their threat of sacking the doctors who are only demanding that which is their legitimate rights under labour laws. “Government should put in place appropriate machineries to address the issues listed as a matter of urgency and in public interest. “Failure of government to do the listed may result in us having no choice than to mobilise all doctors in all health institutions such as teaching hospitals, private hospitals and local government hospitals in Osun State to embark on a total and indefinite withdrawal of service.” NMA Chairman in Osun State, Dr. Suraj Ogunyemi, said doctors were not part of the memorandum of understanding signed between the state government and the Nigeria Labour Congress on payment of half salaries. “The NMA has put all doctors in the state both in private and public sectors on the red alert and the state government should not take our tolerance and endurance for weakness lalasticlala http://dailypost.ng/2015/12/24/withdraw-your-sack-threat-meet-our-demands-doctors-tell-aregbesola/. |

Politics › NLC Rejects Electricity Tariff Hike by emamos(op): 6:55am On Dec 24, 2015 |
The Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) wednesday rejected vehemently the increase of electricity tariffs announced this week by the Nigerian Electricity Regulation Commission (NERC). At the meeting of the Central Working Committee (CWC) of the NLC held at the Paschal Bafyau Labour House, it said after exhaustive deliberations, the union “noted the discordant tunes coming out from different quarters, including government on fuel subsidy removal and pump price increase”.NLC further noted that in other countries, products prices are falling as a result of the continuing crash in the price of crude oil in the International market. In our country CWC is shocked that we are canvassing for price increase. According to the NLC President, Mr. Ayuba Wabba and General Secretary, Dr. Peter Ozo-Eson, the NLC, they said, “Re-affirmed its opposition to any price increase. It therefore resolved to mobilize Nigerian to resist any increase.” They observed that “there have been discordant tunes from State Governors on the issue of the National Minimum Wage. Whereas, at one moment, they deny that there are plans to reduce the minimum wage, at another moment, they threaten to sack workers or reduce the minimum wage; “The National Minimum Wage of N18,000 has been rendered valueless by the mindless devaluation of the Naira and rising inflation. Moreover, it is legally due for a review; “It is a national law which no governor can unilaterally review. Oppose any attempt by any governor to reduce or tamper with the minimum wage Mobilise all members of the Congress to any state that reviews downward the minimum wage or resorts to laying off workers.” The NLC contended that “a 45% upward increase in electricity Tariff at this point in time with the challenges in the economy, which have adversely reduced the purchasing power of ordinary Nigerians and slowed down businesses, including manufacturing, is not justifiable. “The electricity distribution companies have continued to exploit Nigerians by estimated billing systems for the majority of consumers, while deliberately refusing to make pre-paid metres available. “It is clear therefore that the 45% Tariff increase is an additional heavy burden on consumers and will have a telling effect on business especially manufacturing,” they stressed. NLC demanded “that prepaid metres be made available free to all consumers, and expressed disappointment over the plan by government to re-introduce toll gates on our highways and roads. “Recalling the enormous public resources expended in the past on the construction and demolition of toll gates, CWC observed that the proceeds from toll collection were never effectively deployed for the maintenance of roads, but lined the pockets of favoured collectors. Convinced that proceeds from any new toll collections will suffer the same fate, CWC disagrees with the planned re-introduction of toll gates,” the NLC submitted. http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/nlc-rejects-electricity-tariff-hike/228771/ |

Politics › Why We Accepted Compensation From Jonathan – NPAN by emamos(op): 5:01am On Dec 24, 2015 |
The Newspaper Proprietors Association of Nigeria (NPAN) has explained why it accepted the offer N120 million for 12 of its members from the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) as compensation for losses the media houses incurred following a military clampdown on newspapers by the immediate past administration in June 2014. According to it, the decision to collect the said money for the affected media houses as compensation for the impounding of their newspapers and stoppage of circulation by security forces during the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan was to avoid “prolonged confrontation”, the type some of its members had with the government during the military era. In a statement issued at the end of an expanded executive council meeting held in Lagos, the umbrella body of print media organisations in the country noted that, having examined the issue of compensation after the onslaught against the media by the Nigerian military last year, it became necessary that some clarifications be made. NPAN lamented that even those bereft of facts were trying to link it “with the alleged misdeeds of those who may have received huge sums of money from the office of the NSA unlawfully,” even as it said nothing could be farther from the truth. Noting that there was no way its members would have suspected that the money given to them as compensation came from the office of the NSA since his office oversees the operation of the security forces that launched the assault on the media, to some extent, the association assured Nigerians “that the fierce independence, diversity and forthrightness that have characterised the Nigerian press remain unshaken.” In the statement signed by its deputy president, Mallam Kabiru Yusuf, and general secretary, Dame Comfort Obi, the newspaper proprietors said that following the unlawfully seizure of newspapers, its members suffered huge losses in sales and advertising revenue as well as in business goodwill. NPAN explained that, while many of its members “affected by this reckless assault considered resorting to the courts to seek redress, the development became even more alarming when “the military authorities claimed that they had intelligence that newspaper vans were being used to ferry bomb making materials, an outrageous charge that seems to be a prelude to some sort of clampdown.” It added that in the face of the growing tension, the then president, Jonathan decided to hold a meeting with NPAN’s executive on June 12, 2014 at the State House in Marina, Lagos, apparently in a move to “stem the spate of multiple litigations against security agencies and the federal government.” The statement made available to LEADERSHIP further noted: “at this meeting, the President (Jonathan) apologised for the infraction of press freedom and the disruption of the business rhythm of our members. This was well received by our members. In recognition of the president’s gesture, one of our executive officers, Lady Maiden Ibru, spoke in favour of the association dropping the demand for compensation, but because some members wanted to seek redress in court, it was decided to pursue a civil resolution of the matter lalasticlala http://leadership.ng/news/486143/accepted-compensation-jonathan-npan. |

A young man, Endurance Akpan, 18 years old, has killed his mother in Akwa-Ibom State. Similarly, a pastor, Gideon Idio has killed her female church member while a man, Mr Anietie Obong has also killed his 16-year-old housemaid on allegation of witchcraft. The three murder suspects arrested by the police are cooling off their heels in the cell at the Akwa Ibom State command headquarters, Uyo where they were paraded on Tuesday. Akpan, from Idio Nung Iba village, in Etim Ekpo Local Government Area of the state, was said to have killed his mother, Mrs. Lovina Akpan, after he arrived the village from Port Harcourt, Rivers State, where he used to live with his father. The police said the suspect, who is the last child of the family of eight children, on arrival, tricked his mother out of her room into his room with a promise of surprising her with a gift from Port Harcourt. Instead of presenting a gift to the woman, he strangulated her to death. The state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) Ms Cordelia Nwawe explained that after killing the woman, the suspect pulled her out of the room and took her close to a pit toilet within the compound and dumped her there in the morning of November 25. Thereafter, he left for Port Harcourt, where he was arrested. On his part, Pastor Gideon Idio, of God’s Power City, from Nkwa in Ibiono Local Government Area, but residing at 14 Fine Face Street, Off Enen Afaha Street, Uyo, was said to have called the deceased Joanna Okon, ‘f,’ his church member, to come over to his office. Nwawe said on arrival, both of them engaged in a scuffle, the cause of which still remained unknown to the police. She said the issue degenerated to a point that the suspect attacked the deceased and she collapsed and died inside his office. She said, “The so-called pastor locked the deceased inside his office and used the deceased phone to call her close relation claiming, to be a tricycle operator who picked up the girl from Udotung Ubo Street enroute Itam and she slumped inside the tricycle and she is taking her to an undisclosed hospital. “As if that was not enough, the suspect later informed the relations of the girl that he saw her corpse at IBB Road, Uyo and removed the corpse to his office, after which the suspect and relations of the deceased conveyed the corpse to a mortuary at Ibiono Ibom.” Another murder suspect, Anietie Obong, ‘m,’ was said to have taken custody of the deceased, Happiness Isaiah, ‘f,’ with a promise of sponsoring her secondary education, but early this month, the suspect’s wife lost her three months pregnancy and the suspect was unhappy about the incident. Nwawe stated that when the deceased had served the suspect with his wife dinner, Obong summoned the deceased to his parlour, beat her which resulted in lacerations to her leg, hand, stomach and the back. She said, “The suspect further poured hot water on the deceased’s thoracic cavity and the back. These injuries led to the death of the 16 years old victim.” Confessing why she killed his mother, Akpan explained: “I killed her because she tried to poison me and not to let me understand myself any more . cc:lalasticlala http://sunnewsonline.com/new/3-arrested-for-killing-mother-church-member-housemaid/

Politics › War against Boko Haram is largely won, says Lai Mohammed by emamos(op): 8:32pm On Dec 23, 2015 |
The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, said on Wednesday that the Nigerian military had met the December deadline to defeat the Boko Haram terrorists. The minister said this during his maiden meeting with editorial heads of media houses in Lagos. President Mohammadu Buhari had, upon assuming office, issued a December 31 deadline to the military to defeat the Boko Haram terrorists. “Today, I can report that the war against Boko Haram is largely won. “I can confidently say this because just recently, I led a group of 33 journalists from both the local and international media to the hotbed of the insurgency, that is, Maiduguri, Kondugua, Kaoure and Bama. “Today, I can report to you that the entire 70 plus kilometres stretch from Maiduguri to Bama and all the way to Banki which leads to Cameroun and the Central African Republic are in the hands of our gallant troops.” He said the military presence could be felt ”every few metres along the road; at a point along that road we were just a kilometre to Sambisa forest. “They have so degraded the capacity of Boko Haram that the terrorists can no longer hold on to any territory just as they can no longer carry out any spectacular attack.” Mr. Mohammed, however, said that although there were still cases of suicide bombings, it was pertinent to note that such was the nature of insurgency globally. “Unlike a war between two armies, an insurgency never ends with arms victory “Even in countries like Colombia where insurgency was supposed to have ended decades ago, attacks like this still happen.” He said that the insurgents had adopted a new style of attacking soft targets like motor parks, schools, entertainment centres, religious centres, killing innocent people mostly women and children. He, therefore, urged Nigerians to support the military in the fight against terrorism in the country, saying that the military had availed itself creditably. “It is our turn as civilians to give them our support; to realise that the war they are fighting is not their war alone, but our war, hence we must own the war.” The minister disclosed that a national security campaign had commenced to raise awareness among Nigerians about the war, the sacrifices of our troops, and how to stamp out the remnant of the war lalasticlala http://www.premiumtimesng.com/http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/12/war-against-boko-haram-is-largely-won-says-lai-mohammed/ |
