Dude whatsup na, I recommended someone to this thread to get a MacBook. I've gotten two MacBooks from this thread one from you and twinskenny. no complaint.

But my guy has been complaining about battery and speaker issues, I'm sure you can recall. I mean as the item is in bad condition e.g speaker issues, you should've mentioned that or at least provide at least a way to resolve the issue. I mean I dey part of the people wey dey vouch for you offline. it should mean something na.

Does your wife have a Degree certificate that carries the same date with that which is on her passport? This CO is very lenient. You need to thank God for this request ooo. Some persons might receive NJL because of this disparity in age ooo. However you need to careful on how you respond to this request to avoid future misrepresentation. My advice is for you to get a sworn affidavit to claim of the documents carry a wrong age, but be very careful which of them you will declare incorrect.

Nedunwam:
Goodeveing dear friends, please I need your humble advice. I applied for a 190 visa since April 2019, the C.O just contacted few days ago. My wife's WAEC certificate has a different date of birth to what is on her passport. The C.Os only request is to provide updated certificate with the correct information. And she added (if applicable). Pls see a screen shot of the request. Pls I need advice dear friends as that seem to be the only thing between me and ausiee.pls advice a brother. Belong and others pls

I understand your fears with IETLS. It will interest you that you can use PTE (Pearson Test of English) in lieu of IELTS/TOFEL. You can contact me if you have further questions on PTE

Please I need list of universities or college in Australia that don't require IELTS/TOFEL to gain admission.
Please house help with it... Thanks

From experience, AIMS will not award you a MLS. This is due to our country factor and the way they rate some of our qualifications from Nigeria. Be rest assured they'll give you MLT in lieu of MLS with an option to further get MLS when you arrive Australia. However, this is subject to your decision afterwards.

My Opinion: Half bread is better than chin-chin smiley smiley grin

Thank you.
I wish to know the implications of being awarded med lab technician instead of scientist. Does this mean I am not eligible for subclass 189?
Travel / Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by Embassy4u(m): 10:59am On Sep 17, 2019
You can assess as a Medical Laboratory Technician which is assessed by AIMS. You can check their website to see the requirements. go through www.anzscosearch.com to search for that occupation. From there you can get the link to the assessing body's site.

Note that Medical Laboratory Technician is a skill 2 occupation which is what you'll be awarded even if you file for a Medical Laboratory Scientist.

Mamabigboy:
Good morning
I am new in this group. I intend to migrate to Australia with my husband and son but I dont know where to start from. I am a Medical Laboratory Scientist with 9 years work experience. I am 34. I am waiting for my IELTS result to be out on Friday.
Could anyone kindly put me through on how best to proceed?
Many thanks.

And bringing sentiments into this matter is what makes things worse. Belong is a humble person. He has assisted countless number of applicants. Mistakes are inevitable especially when we desire some level of flexibility from the set rules. Now, the matter isn't an issue. The MOD has explained some things which is justifiable. Understanding and maturity is what needs to play out in this case.
How does selfish interest help this thread in anyway? Now, where is that part of a personal opinion? So, I cannot share my view in peace? Na wa ooo... I don't know why you are taking panadol on another man's headache. Belong himself is ready to make things work. The ability for us to see and reason together will move the thread forward...

Best contribution so far. You deserve some accolades for this

GoodMemory:
While I agree that Bellong’s contribution to this thread has been of tremendous value, we cannot, however, blame Justwise for upholding the rules and doing the right thing. Sometimes, we should be less emotional about how we see things. Have rules been flouted? Yes. Does Justwise have the right to punish if rules are infringed? Yes. So, what is all this fuss?

I don't think you got the information correctly.
The intent was not in any way to divide this forum. Nothing can ever be like this forum. Besides, there has been the existence of several WhatsApp groups after the inception of this forum. We will always come here and always get required assistance here.

Forum is different from groups. So, let's not bring up issues where there is none.

I appreciate your opinion. Your concern is well noted

In terms of proliferation, i don't see anything bad in it as far as the aim or motive is the same. It makes Chief Belong's job easier as not everyone have to wait for him to get required response(s). I made mention of it earlier, no one is a migration Agent in the group and we strongly frown at such as we also got the information for free. The idea is to get as many Nigerians to migrate. Canada has numerous groups and forums. The motive is same. I don't think Oga Belong ever had any monopoly of idea else we won't be here.

Thanks for your understanding

farnet:

I would think telegram group is a very bad idea, kind of proliferation as known with us Nigerians. It can't also be anywhere close to this beautiful thread we re enjoying here in terms of pagination n other flavours. Its lyk a flowing river, the kind that drives too much repetition s n redundancy of info n discussions. My take though, but will like to be seeing every activity here. Haven't seen any drawback here to warrant dividing n migrating info n people. Or is it anyanythingout an ego of building or administering a group?

There is a telegram group for those who are interested where we share useful information on migration. It used to be a WhatsApp group but by popular demand we decided to move to Telegram yesterday to accommodate more people. If you wish to join us, check the link in my Signature.

Note: we have prospective migrants and already migrated fellows in the group. No one is an Agent, no one collects money for sharing any information in the group. It's for like minds who wish to migrate to Australia.

Thanks Oga Belong for bringing us this far.

I believe soon a lot of people will realise what this man has done I our generation. I can't wait to meet you in person sir Belong

Truth be told if i read your initial post very well. You said you studied Botany.

Botany is a 4yr course, and it's not directly a lieu of Agricultural Science. Botany is the study of plants. Agriculture is vast. So, I hope this gives you your answer. You can pm if you are still in doubt.

demmy40:

I have 5 years of experience as an Agronomist but I don't know if that would be okay. Anyway, the same documents have been sent to you earlier, please check again sir.

Thank you in anticipation.

Ytechconst:

Exactly, see the qualification requirements from TRA guideline below.
Travel / Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by Embassy4u(m): 1:39am On Apr 01, 2019
Does it mean that people who didn't go to school at all but have trained as a cabinet maker and has trade test certificate can't fly?
Ytechconst:

Firstly I’d advise you assess base of any field you have a 2-3years formal education in the trade from a technical school because TRA mandates you have a formal education in the trade aside trade test certificate.

Also on challenge with assessing for Plumbing field is that you are required to travel down to one of the OSAP recognized country like South Africa to have a practical assessment and that might cost a lot of time and resources. So I’d advice you look through the requirement for welders field.

Visit the TRA link below:
https://www.tradesrecognitionaustralia.gov.au/programs/migration-skills-assessment

I actually assessed for Cabinetmaking and all I submitted was my Trade Test Certificate 3&2, Technical College Diploma and National Technical Certificate all in Furniture Craft and Cabinet Making that I’ve earned as far back as 2003. Then a job reference letter, pay slips for the past 10years, LIRS tax card.

With all the above after 3months of filing in for assessment I was asked to contact my technical school and also the federal ministry of labour and productivity that issued my qualifications to send them a verification email confirming I earn my qualifications from them, I did as they requested and in a week time I got positive assessment.

I feel you bro...I'll advice you never to be disappointed. I believe if you tailor your JD (job description) to suit a closely related field or occupation e.g Pathology collector etc. You stand a better chance. Giving up is never a good option.

Good morning house... Thanks to everyone who has contributed in one way or the other to the success of this thread. I wish prospective applicants the very best.

After several hours of reading and researching with the resources on page 0, I've come to the conclusion that getting PR as a medical practitioner particular as a medical doctor is quite cumbersome and expensive.
Getting fully licensed alone is one heck of a journey and I guess it's the reason lots of Nigerian docs are not considering this route.

I'm so disappointed cry

koleefem05:
LONG POST ALERT

The desire to leave the shores of this country became fully matured in December 2016.
At this time, I've missed so many opportunities due to lack of knowledge, pride and loyalty to motherland.
I don't need to bore you with my story...especially how I spent all the money I was forced to save up for Canny processing on my first automobile. The good news however is that, I am leaving finally, and for good! My family was granted Tas 489 Visa on 16th March 2019- the mail dropped at about 1:35am. And I gave way to tears! Sleep disappeared.

Nominated Occupation- Agricultural Consultant (234111)
IED- August 8, 2019.

First IELTS-
21st January 2017
L-7.5, R-6.0, W-6.5, S-8

PTE-
25th July 2017
L-66, R-71, S-63, W-81.

Second IELTS-
2nd December 2017
L-7.5, R-8.0, S-7.5, W-7.5

VETASSESS application submitted 10th August, 2017
Positive outcome- 27th September, 2017 at about 12:10am.
Applied to Victoria- 21st December, 2017.
Application rejected on 22nd January 2018- SAME GENERIC STORY (Spit)

At this point, I became discouraged. A lot happened! (Skip).

Thanks to Olusola who called on that fateful Sunday and gave some ginger, and @pearlypriest who became a monitoring spirit.#lols.

29th June 2018- Applied to TAS for nomination.
30th July 2018- Case Officer was assigned.
6th August 2018- Application supported .
8th August, 2018- Police Clearance Certificate processed and collected.
19th October 2018- Visa application made through Austransact (cheapest, convenient, transparent), though wasn't confirmed until Monday 22nd due to late payment on Friday 19th.
21st October 2018- Baby came- Implication? We'll have to pay Visa fee for baby since our payment wasn't confirmed before baby's arrival. Waited till CO requested we pay after uploading Form 1441- Notification of change in Circumstances.

8th January, 2019- Yellow card processed and collected.
10th January, 2019- CO requested we pay for baby as additional dependent, and do medicals. Again, we paid through Austransact (Fast, Convenient, Reliable). Booked medicals with IOM, and the earliest date we could get was Feb 7, 2019.
7th February 2019- Medical examination.

16th March 2019- GRANT.
THE GOLDEN MAIL!!! The mail notifications actually woke me.

Was it an easy process? No! But is it worth it ABSOLUTELY!!!
Let Jah be praised.

And now, I can't but mention and appreciate just few of those who stuck with me and saw me through the process- in no particular order:
@bellong- You're forever blessed among men Sir.
@Alphadoor- The door is forever opened in your favour.
@pearlypriest- Happy 10 years wedding anniversary...more blessed togetherness Sir. You've been closer than a brother.
@mamajazz- your joy shall know no bounds.
@annbababie- We started this together. Don't give up! Next baby must be in Aussie; we agreed.
@hordunayodt- Remain blessed wherever you are. You offered your back when I started this journey.
@hosflex- May Jehovah provide a full reward for you Sir. Don't lose hope.
@diggy4real- There's always light at the end of the tunnel, your grant is closer than you expect.
@Phlunteer- Sister, God has gone ahead of you to Canny, take it as a redirection.
@afolaseg- Bless you Sir.
@segunwamiri- Don't ever give up brother! Delay is never denial. You’re in it to win it!
@Obigirl- Remain strong as ever. We need you more here.
@Zanyzara- You’re selfless. Goodness and mercy follow you everyday...safe journey in advance Mama.
@catchdwind4rmkd- You’re an inspiration. God bless you abundantly.

@teewhysafe- Thank you for vetting my documents. More joy in your home.
@obiangeli- You're a blessing.
@fanne: Thank you, but please don't quit.
@nkechima: God continue to bless your way.

Infact @everybody- I LOVE YOU ALL. Bye.

I actually don't know what tier it is classified as but I also graduated there and I think I understand your curiosity. I can say if you studied a 5yr course you are very good to go. Although some courses with 4yr still get their assessment. It all depends on what occupation you want to assess.
