first thing is to cut off all manner of communications, cut down on ur use of social media where you both communicate and get rid of her pictures in ur gallery, her personal effects should be eliminated around you for now till the next 5 to 6 months and i advice you dont date anyone else for the main time. rad this book if u can download it.. Well.. When you fling out that coke plastic bottle, or whatever dirt from your car window, when u dump that refuse in the drainage, this is where they all end up.. Spoiling the image of ur country. I have been to different countries by sea and I'll tell u that our waterways remains the dirtiest of all..

in my house, you take over the kitchen from age 8 till your younger ones comes off age to take over. I started cooking from age 8 till I was 16. Mom takes care of dads meal while I cook for d rest of the family.. . Talk about now, I cook anything..

Go federal for job security... It's flexible and could pay out greatly if your academic worth is improved.

Thanks for the great post. A vast majority of us didn't have what we like to describe as the best parenting from our parents. They did their best no doubt, giving the circumstances at the time. God bless them all.

But I believe we can be better parents. Parenting isn't an easy task. It takes a lot of love, care, understanding and patience to bring up kids that will be totally useful to themselves and the society. I'm learning from my parents and making sure I don't repeat the same mistakes they made.

I've not read his SINS OF THE FATHERS. I'll be glad if you could send me the soft copy. It promises to be a good read.

Whether we want to believe it or not, life's difficult and only the disciplined that scale through its fences.

Our parents did their best no doubt but they also are the problem of today's youth. Blaming your children for your misfortune causes character disorder and this children grow with this self resentment.

What could have made my teenage son interested in sex at his age when he should be serious with his studies? He is 14-years-old and in SS1. This is a boy brought up in a good Christian home. Maybe the mistake was the laptop his dad bought for him. We had thought it will aid him in his studies but he is using it for something that could destroy his future. I’m so sad about it. That night, I was hearing some sound from his room around 11PM and I could understand what it meant. So I tip-toed to his room and saw him engrossed in the porn movies he was watching. I was so furious; I beat him and seized his laptop. I later got to know he was introduced to porn by a class-mate of his. I told him I’m changing his school. He has been begging me not to tell his dad when he returns from his trip but I feel his father should be aware of the whole thing. Parents out there, how can I check this situation?

yes that's correct. Talking about the book, I spent the whole of yesterday on it and it did justice to some childhood problems I had and never considered them problem since I grew up to it and took it as a norm. As Scott pointed out in sins of the Father, most of our parents were not ready to be parents if not for unwanted pregnancy or pressure. This makes them resentful of their children and end up blaming them for any challenges they encounter in life.. He went on to say a lot about undisciplined discipline by parents.
What caught me most in the book is about learning how to understand that life is a problem, you can't go a day without encountering it so you have to learn to take responsibility for it.
I will recommend this book to every reader, I already sent it to some friends in my reading club. Will look for the hard cover to buy..
