*shrug*

No man can control the circumstances of his birth. You don't get to choose who yours parents are in life smiley Any indiscretion/failings of parents shouldn't negatively affect the child.

Bastard or not, I stand with Tinubu.

And the felon stuff has been proven wrong time and time again
True, no one can control his birth circumstance, but I doubt if 'Omo Ale' are usually welcome with open arms in Yorubaland Nigeria society. Or is his case different because he is a scheming thieving bastard?! grin grin grin grin grin grin

PoliticsRe: For The Last And Final Time: Benue Is Not North by emekagh(m): 8:40am On Jun 17, 2011
Why are well all discussing this now as if the country is about to disintegrate. In any case, if there are strong cultural links between Idomas and Igbos and the former wants to join Igbos of the SE, why should we deny them theire identity?

Was the progrom carried out by the Idomas, or the North?  Or did Igbos expect the Idoma (who were clearly classified as Middle as at 1967) to join Eastern Region without formal agreement. War situations are very fluid, I won't blame the Idomas, for not siding Biafra during the war)

By and large, Nigeria need to be restructure and maps redrawn; the Yoruba of the North (Kogi, kwara etc) should be included in the SW, ditto for Igbos in the North and South South.

What is wrong with destroying your enemy by simply destroying your enemy?

Tribune and the out of power bad belle folk have no power to remove Tinubu

Overall, sounds like a recipe for disaster, your suggested strategies
Disaster is what is happening in SW, as a result of Tinubu's strategy. Or how else are you going to describe the assault of the revered Awo, and almighty Tinubu?

Eziachi:
Oh dear! Field ACN for speaker?
Are sure you know exactly what you are talking about? Do you know how the principles are chosen or the law behind those positions or the difference between majority/minority for that matter?
I will encourage you to go to the hip hop section, its best suit you there. Ignorant is a disease.
lol, I know exactly what I am saying.
Supporting a Tambuwal was a strategic mistake by ACN, that is why we have all this hue and cry from SW (Awo this, Tinubu that). Certainly, that action has backfired, and it's a death knell for Tinubu's leadership in SW, and perhaps the beginning of the end for ACN. Besides, the Tambuwal guy is linked with the corruption case that is currently sinking the past speaker. Why would a 'progressive' party like ACN be found in same bed with such a character?

Supporting Adeola would have been a better strategy. It would have succeeded in doing of these two things (1) - You destroy your enemy (PDP Speaker in SW) by making him (her in this case) your friend. or (2) Keep your friends close, but keep your enemy closer. It was a badly thought out plan to dump her for Tambuwal. Tinubu would be seen by other SWners as having sold their right to the North. Unless it pays off in the short term - Tinubu will not survive this turmoil, without major loss.

Where the above options are not tenable, Tinubu should have fielded a candidate from ACN, and negociate for support from CPC, and other disgruntled NA members. This would be a big gamble considering the numeric size of PDP, but in the end lose or win, no one would accuse him of selling out to PDP or the North. He will live to fight another day, with his 'integrity.'

Anyway, let him enjoy his travails, that is what happen when a man, arrogate all wisdom and knowledge to himself - Asiwaju of Yorubaland, I hail thee!

Pa Eziachi, I think you should start considering retiring from politics section! grin grin grin grin grin Just kidding. grin

Assembled in location X is different from manufactured in location X, is all I am saying. There is a distinction between the two. I think we can all agree on that.
They said made in Nigeria bus, everyone seems to agree and are happy about the development. What up with you, and your never ending argument about definitions and classification.

You have posted over 6 rebuttals on this matter, trying to belittle the efforts of the Innosson. Let it rest oga, else people will start questioning your motives, and possible complex.

@ Topic, this is one small step for Enugu, and a giant step for Nigeria! Patronising locally made goods remains the best way to assist local manufacturers, and also improve quality, save foreign exchange, reduce unemployment, etc. Kudos
PoliticsRe: Tribune Reporter's Confusion Over Identity Of Tinubu's Parents by emekagh(m): 4:52pm On Jun 16, 2011
Tinubu goofed big time, supporting the Tambuwal guy as against fielding a candidate of ACN for the speaker post, or supporting Adeola who is yet to be linked to any major scandal. He shot himself in the leg, by that selfish decision.

I would be very surprised if that transgression is allowed to go without any major rebuke by right thinking people.

Stop touching yourself and explain where in your infinite wisdom, you think the ACN votes should have gone. This is a simple request so there is no need to hurt that wall by banging your head on it.
ACN vote should have gone to ACN!
ACN should have presented an alternative candidate in the midst of the confusion that engulfed PDP. Whether their candidate would have won or not would have been a matter of how much the were willing to sell him as a better option.

But obviously someone in ACN wasn't thinking right! A new dawn is upon us, let work and pray for a better tomorrow!

PoliticsRe: Pdp Should Return Chairmanship Slot To Southeast, Says Ngige by emekagh(m): 9:59am On Jun 06, 2011

I think everyone can clearly see that you are an ethnic feudalist with a serious problem . It is also obvious you are a highly unreasonable person. Who mentioned bigotry first ? Who seems unable to seperate ethnicity from everything?  Is it not you? While I was happy to discuss this within the framework of partisan politics you chose to defend Ngige blindly while ranting unintelligently in a manner that suggest you see everything through ethnic goggles. To make issues worse you then wrote: After being exposed for what you are you now want to play victim? Thank god folks can read . They can simply go back up and follow conversation to see how unreasonble, bigoted, and feudalistic you are. Folks like you think you can go around casually accusing otherwise decent people of bigotry , because of the region they hail from, only for you to then emotionally begin to cry and play victim when others tell you to look in the mirror and to inspect your own utterances so you can note clearly who the bigot and local champion is.
Your problem stems from your big-headed, know all constant tirade in every topics and threads? Why? You don't have a day job? That's by the way.
A consequent of your long boring know-all outburst is your inability to keep track of what you said and when. Or how can you say I was the first to accuse you of bigotry, when my accusation was in reference to your first salvo via unwarranted innuendo in response to my comment:

You said:
Some of you are so far gone in seeing everything along ethnic lines to the extent that you feel duty bound to defend the actions of your kinsmen even when they are undoubtedly wrong . This is a big problem with Nigeria. Many of us can pretend to be principled as long as it is not our interest or "anointed" that is touched.
Now if that does not qualifies for being indirectly called a bigot, I wonder then what does!

For you information, no amount of crocodile tears you shed, or sentiments you whip will sway me from my well thought out opinion about the correctness of Ngige political maneuver; the guy is in a very unique situation; he has to do the unexpected to survive. But your so called political sophistication; lacks the sagacity that ought to go with it.

But you still however thump your chest arrogantly; and maintain you are super intelligent in sophisticated politics.  Pooh!

And shed more crocodile tears, at my supposedly unwarranted aggression!

^^^^ I am baffled was to why this matter is not in EFCC already! Those corruption allegation are very weighty; I am quite sure there must be fair amount of truth in some them. The proponent of the document should channel it to the Anti-corruption agency; one thousand trips of Tinubu to Aso Rock for frivolous and secret meetings will not cover his dirty ar/se.

Tinubu, and his fellow sojourners should be made to realise that crime does not pay!

Stop embarrassing yourself. You can't even keep up congrously with intelligent debate without sounding like a feudalistic area champion . playing Ostrich is the stock in trade of your kind i.e constantly deluding yourself that you are virtuous and it is only others who are evil. You see yourself as meekly innocent while others are always guilty and "evil" marauders. You fool youself that you don't steal yet it is only others who do. You simplistically , self-deludingly and unintelligently convince yourself your gene is perfect yet others have the gene of "treachery, "criminality", "cowardice", "bigotry" , etc . You decieve yourself that you are the most liberal minded in the world and it is others who are myopic and bigoted. Sadly , the truth we can all denote , from events on the ground, does not accomodate the grossly ridiculous and self-restrictive delusions of your kind.

You claim others are bigoted but you are oblivious to how it is you who sounds bigoted and totally unreasonable , beyond redemption, with how you are obstinately defending Ngige's action in partisan politics that will be ruled wrong anywhere in the world. You are the one , even if unaware of it, who sounds like the bigot . Going around accusing others of bigotry does nothing to hide your latent bigotry because it is you , not me, who talks as if you sees ethnicity ahead of everything else . Tragic. Very effing tragic.
So you now you are tired of using innuendos to cowardly paint others as ethnic bigot, and have decided for once to be a man and say it, well as usual, in a very long boring tirade! Chicken is finally coming home to roast! Childish!

But I will not fall for your cheap pranks, and pathetic ethnic scheming. I play above the fray! If what Ngige said is wrong by your beloved ACN nonsense ideology, we would have heard so from well placed party officials, not from Nairaland town-criers like you! As an 'intelligent' man sir, that should not be very difficult for you to comprehend. Should it?
PoliticsRe: Pdp Should Return Chairmanship Slot To Southeast, Says Ngige by emekagh(m): 9:02pm On Jun 04, 2011
Gbawe:
you are the one "ranting like an ant" . An ignorant one to boot . You also succeed in showing why Nigeria continue to stagnate. You are simply ill-exposed and uninterested in the type of evolution that has made institutions very strong elsewhere in the world to the benefit of ordinary citizens . You continue to visit your ill-exposure on discussions here and if , eventually , you gain a political position we know the type of regressive politics you will practice. Were we not all here when , recently , with the zoning saga raging, all opposition politicians (ACN, CPC, et al) conveniently stated that "zoning is a PDP affair" ? Why did Ngige not speak in favour of zoning back then?  If Ngige agreed with the stance of the ACN some months ago then sensible and objective folks can only conclude that , like a rogue soldier , Ngige is simply letting his side down and 'compromising the mission' with his current utterance. He cannot even vote on who becomes PDP chairman so how is he right telling the PDP what to do?

Some of you are so far gone in seeing everything along ethnic lines to the extent that you feel duty bound to defend the actions of your kinsmen even when they are undoubtedly wrong . This is a big problem with Nigeria. Many of us can pretend to be principled as long as it is not our interest or "anointed" that is touched. This is why we don't have strong institutions able to act consistently regardless of who is concerned . if you are politically sophisticated and exposed you will know why it is wrong for Ngige to be showing up his own Party. I like and support Ngige but he is wrong here. Simple.
Oga, keep deluding yourself, and continue making this long crap as if I have time to read all.
The bottomline line is that ACN is a master of regional game; and your are the undisputed champion of ethnic bigotry - no matter how much you try to deflect attention from your self and your perpetual ethnic scheming.

Ngige is borrowing the regional game card from ACN; and his region is SE. If he is doing something he believe benefits his kinsmen - his primary constituency, then I don't see how he is wrong. Ngige is delving into the PDP matter because he does believe in fair play in every sense of it. Beside, if it will win him popularity, and re-election why shouldn't he do it. Ngige, knows his constituency, but you dont!

Every politics is local; Ngige understands this, and he is playing it. If you, and your ACN overlords fail to grapple with this simply fact, then that is very sad; and you should begin to question you so call political sophistication! By the way, I don't even know why town criers are making so much noise, when the Chieftains are having a good time!

Get a life friend!
