omenka: Honestly I didn't quite understand what the comparism was about. When has Soyinka become the standard reference point for the scholarly prowess or otherwise of anyone
These jonaTANians are too damn basic honestly. They couldn't stick anything to the man for two days besides how long it took for him to be selected, and now this!!
Their propaganda machinery has been overheating since Buhari's emergence and they got their gaskets blown after Osinbajo was selected as his running mate!
Whatever mud they throw is already expected anyway.
#Buhari/Osinbajo till 2023. How some people reason eludes me. He is claiming Soyinka is now the benchmark for early education, what a fallacy !!!! |

If he could identify a speech that is incoherent, but could not see the big blunder in his own sentence with just 4 words, he needs to hide his head in a cave. |

tomakint: Read my submission bro, my statement (Buhari needs to win....) is not confirmatory but in support of your 'IF' I am clear enough, or may be you dont understand what simple majority means. Let me state it again.. what is needed (1) at least 25% of votes in 24 states and FCT (2) Simple majority. (highest number of votes between/among contestants) No one gives a hoot about number of states won. |

Gboliwe: I know Fela Durotoye and the other motivational speakers drum it into my head that "Nothing is Impossible". I guess they never considered this level of belief! Buhari win 5 states and it translates to a simple majority blablabla? Chai! I must tap into this level of blind mumu faith!
His Katsina state, he won't even win handsdown not to talk of other states.
@topic, Bakare was a G.O, a position higher than Yemi's in Nigeria's christendom, he was an Akokite according to the story, just like your Yemi, yet we gave him a seat and he is still wondering till today what hit him. We will do same to this man, this Pastor who is already tampering with his date of birth. Personally, I am unmoved! You are turning logic on his head, i gave a hypothetical scenario.,,,,,,i guess it is a problem with comprehension for you. In Nigeria, what is really paramount is not the number of states you won in, but the total votes you get. It is even possible for your Candidate A to win in more states than candidate B , and Candidate B will be declared by virtue of higher number of votes earned. |

tomakint: Thank God you are not proud and ignorant so emiye's voice, *Buhari needs to win 5 States and secure 25% of votes in the remaining States to win* what a permutation google conditional statement and understand what it means. I said " IF" , What that means is should he get at least "25% of votes in 24 states, and the highest number of total votes. the number of states he won will be irrelevant, even if its just 5 states. This is Nigeria not USA. |

tomakint: Really? Now this gat me lolin hard don't be surprised that Buhari may likely win 12 States again nothing has changed on Buhari of 2011 and now but before you start calling me names, listen, Buhari needs to win 21 States outrightly to be declared the WINNER, the question now is, how possible is this for Buhari going by the current trend! You are quite ignorant and proud. ....... To be declared winner, you need a simple majority votes, and at least 25% of votes in 24 states and FCT. He does not need to win in 21 states. Infact if he wins in 5 states only and fulfil the requirements above, he will be declared by INEC. In 2011, Buhari was contesting on a platform with no single councillor, this is 2014. |

tomakint: How? Do the maths: SS (6 States); SE (5 States); SW (6 States); NC (6 States + FCT); NW (7 States) & NE (6 States) I asked again how many States can Buhari conquer to emerge the winner come Feb. 15, 2015? Just asking........ He won in 12 states in 2011, this time around 18 states are guaranteed. He will get at least 25% in 6 others |

The most important qualities for a leader are integrity, sincerity of purpose and a strong will power. There are lots of economic advisers and consultants that works with a president as an economic team. What GEJ lacks are the three qualities above. That is why many committee reports will continue to gather dusts under GEJ, never to be implemented. that is why many corruption cases will not see the end of the tunnel, that is why interest of cabals is usually placed above the interest of the masses. |

Kzinne: times are different . even the genius himself Wole Soyinka finished his O'levels at 16 and his HSC at 18. He got into GCI in Ibadan at 12. That was 1978. This is 2014. Truth is most people at that time who even finished early in the 70's graduated at age 21 plus. The Schools inspectors then were very strict and could visit your school without notice. These days its possible since the inspectors solicit bribes on a daily basis
Akinwande Oluwole "Wole" Soyinka (Yoruba: Oluwo̩lé S̩óyinká, pronounced "Shoyinka"; born 13 July 1934) is a Nigerian playwright and poet. He was awarded the 1986 Nobel Prize in Literature,[1] the first African to be so honored. After finishing his course at Government College in 1952, he began studies at University College in Ibadan (1952–54), affiliated with the University of London. He studied English literature, Greek, and Western history. In the year 1953–54, his second and last at University College, Ibadan, Soyinka began work on "Keffi's Birthday Treat", a short radio play for Nigerian Broadcasting Service that was broadcast in July 1954 Your argument is so faulty, i bet there were people younger than Soyinka in Soyinka's class. Osinbajo is also a genuis in his own right, and there are several popular figures who finished primary school at age 10 at his own generation. |

Adminisher: So what?. I finished O levels at 14 as well. That is not an issue in western Nigeria. I am almost sure he did not need do A levels. People must realise that there was a time Nigeria was academically more advanced than now. There was no 6334 education. There was direct entry admission into university from secondary school. Even JAMB started in 1978 I am not sure. Yes, secondary education was 5 years then, not 6 years as it is now. |

I don't think the battle is still in the SW. Jonathan will steal some votes but Buhari will win it. The goodwill he had then is no longer there. An average SW even from members of his party knows that he has failed. NC it is. Yes, with a Lagos SW running mate, the battle ground now moves to the 6 North central states & Abuja. I am so cock sure at least 50% win seals the overall victory. |

ProfCorruption: If APC wins 55% of SW votes, Buhari will be sworn in next year. It doesnt end in SW, at least 50% must be guaranteed from North central also. Dont forget GEJ won 62% of North central votes the last time. The battle ground is SW + NC. |

Ajimobi will win with simple majority.
His enemies are scattered in 4 cardinal points ( Teslim, Ladoja, Akala, Makinde).
He needs roughly 35-40% of votes, and he will get it, he will also get the required 25% in at least 22 local govt. |

I think Buhari strongly needs Osinbajo's mountain of experience as long as law and order is concerned, because Buhari is going to be pulling down heavy and mighty political personels if he becomes president. He is getting himself well equiped by nominating a law wizard in the person of Osinbajo. God bless my lovely Nigeria. Very true, My cousin who is a lawyer has a working relationship with him. Lobby Oshiomole and snatch Edo from APC
Deploy resources and campaign vigorously in Rivers/IMO/Lagos
APC is toast I tell you
They are back to where CPC started
I would even go as far as flirting with Fashola. Tinubu abandon his political son, Jonathan should take Fashola in his wings
You know deliver Lagos or at least stand down and you might be FCT minister in the power sharing government won't be a bad idea All you have up here is in your head, and that is where it ends.
