Yes, 7 times, No loss, but the 8th one will be a loss. The opposition then were too regional in composition to challenge the incumbent, until now, where it is relatively different.

A student of Distinguished Professor Oluyemi Osinbajo just acknowledged her lecturer, and showed so much respect , admiration and love to her former lecturer by relieving a won HOR PDP ticket in Abuja for an APC membership card.

No better way to tell when a man has made true impact in the lives of his former student

5 years down the line, we still await testimonies of GEJ's former student.

PoliticsRe: Cash Crunch Hit Buhari Campaign by emiye(m): 12:00am On Dec 30, 2014
Much ado about nothing. This is a decoy to deflect accusation from PDP that some APC governors are using state resources to fund Buhari's campaign. Anyone who believes cash crunch will hit a platform with 14 sitting governors is on a long thing.

Buhari with no sitting governor , senator, HOR member, could mobilise to fund a partially successful campaign in 2011, how much more in 2015 ?

When campaign starts fully next week, the doom in some peoples imagination will blow up in their head. grin.
PoliticsRe: Alleged Marginalization In Lagos: APC Tells Igbos To Seek Dialogue by emiye(m): 9:17pm On Dec 29, 2014
A time will come when igbos will so crave for the present opportunity they have in Lagos, they will look back, and realised they had thrown away a lot with sheer foolishness. Stifling igbos is not hard to do, infact it is so easy to do, they are calling for it. Many traders will be forced to relocate, when the heat is turned on.

I'm going to say this again, you don't thank someone for not stealing your home. Rivers State's entire generation will go to hell for it fine, but there's no reward for not stealing someone's home. Do you thank people on the street for not robbing you?
A fool you are, so you misplaced a wallet statched with foreign currency, and a man sees it and returns it to you, and you collect it and say "Hey, i dont need to thank you for seeing my wallet and giving it back to me"

I repeat, a fool you are

chukwudi44:
APC getting stronger in benue? It is very much easier for Buhari to win in the se/as than for him to win in benue state. Do you seriously expect benue to vote for a fulani man after what they have passed through in the last few years? Also in nassarawa you expect eggons to vote for a fulani man? Are you for real?
Yes , APC is stronger. a stronger platform does magic than the overrated tribal bigotry . 2 fulani men had roughly 35% of benue vote in 2011 (ribadu/buhari). Buhari had roughly 40% of votes in Nassarawa, with the aid of APC platform, and a current APC governor, he will perform better.
PoliticsRe: 2015 Presidential Election - Prediction Of The Outcome II by emiye(m): 11:44am On Dec 28, 2014
Op, you've done a great job.

looks somewhat like what i predicted for jonathan yesterday too : SW 35% SS 85% SE 90% NW 15% NE 25% NC 45%.

My disagreement with your projections is the voters turn out .

voters turn out for sw (50%) SS (60%) SE(50%) NW (45%) NE (35%) NC (45%).

Jonathan will perform better in the NE than the NW , no thanks to the crisis in Borno and Yobe, which are strong APC states but ravaged by the bh war with lots of IDPs, he will get leverage with Taraba.

The North central is now thrown open, i feel it will be close or ApC have a slight edge, with kwara and Nassarawa now in APC hands , and APC seems to be getting stronger in Kogi and Benue. Niger will go to APC in 2015, only Plateau is certain for PDP.

You are a little bit off.
This is more realistic:

sw - 65%, ss - 95% se - 95% nc - 60%, nw - 19%, ne - 55%. Everybody loves Goodluck! He is a nice guy!
Whatever i have for GEJ are very optimistic projections , things can get really worse for him.

65% in sw is not possible.

in 2011, with all the goodwill, he had 58% in sw. ss can not return 95% , not even se. ne 55% ?, yu've got to be kidding.

GEJ will end up with 35-40% of total votes cast. You can bookmark this.
PoliticsRe: Can Jonathan Win The SW And Half Of The North? by emiye(m): 8:36pm On Dec 27, 2014
he cant win SW.

My assessment of him across zones ,

sw- 35%, ss- 85% se- 90% nc- 45% nw- 15% Ne- 25%. He will lose at the end of it all with roughly 40% votes.

PropertiesRe: Fayose Gives Two Months Ultimatum To Landlords To Provide Toilet Facilities by emiye(m): 4:36pm On Dec 27, 2014
HNosegbe:
Good idea but wrong approach.

Rather than making pronouncements and giving ultimatums, what a governor worth his salt would do is to pass enabling legislation to cover building construction as a whole, and then a section of the act would make toilet construction compulsory and also stipulate appropriate penalties for failure to comply. That's how governance is done.

I won't be surprised if this directive isn't applied at all or reversed after a couple of months.
There are available laws, enforcement is the issue.

Ekiti Govt arrests 70 lanlords without toilet facilities in their houses

on September 07, 2013 / in News 2:58 pm / Comments

No fewer than 70 landlords have been arrested in the last two months for defaulting in providing toilets facilities in their houses in Ekiti

The Director of Environment and Sanitation, Mr Tunde Balogun, made this known in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Ado-Ekiti on Friday.

Balogun described the landlords as “recalcitrant residents’’, who always test the will of government when issues relating to policies and programmes come to question.

He said that the affected land lords would be prosecuted under the Ekiti State Environmental and Sanitation Law, 2004 and the Environmental Regulations 2009, as amended.

He recalled that this year, the state Ministry of Environment organised an awareness campaigns on the need for the landlords to abide by government’s policy of “One House, One Toilet’’.

“Those landlords, who were arrested, turned deaf ears to the government’s order, thinking they can ignore an important policy such as this and get away with it,’’ he said.

The director, who said the exercise would be continuous one, declared that all offenders would face the wrath of the law.

There is nobody in Ekiti, who will say he is not aware of various existing Environmental laws that are passed by the House of Assembly and assented to by Gov. Kayode Fayemi.

“They think we are not serious about this, and so, they must pay dearly for this until they learn to comply.’’ (NAN)
