PoliticsRe: I Don’t Know What Fuel Subsidy Means– Buhari by emiye(m): 10:04am On May 24, 2015
Most Nigerians did not trust GEJ and crew with the proceeds from the subsidy, as we saw with the failed SURE-P, which was financed from partial removal of subsidy.

New refineries can be built in 18-24 months. I learnt even with the current scarcity , over 1.8 billion naira is spent dailly,on subsidy of petrol price.

Subsidy must go immediately after the probe of the sector, Govt must build at least 3 new refineries ASAP to surpass our current local demands and put an end to importation of refined fuel, it might later privatise the refineries in phases.

I have said times without number, this ben bruce lee fellow is rarely in touch with reality, he is a megalomaniac.

How much is an electric car btw?

Put this fellow as an executive of a state, then it will be tales of white elephant projects, and building castles in the sky.

PoliticsRe: NDLEA Sorrounds The Home Of Kashamu Buruji by emiye(m): 3:33pm On May 23, 2015
The day this fool contested for the senatorial post and won is the day he deserves to be extradited,

The idiiot had no business holding an elective or selective post, so as to avoid public scrutiny, but the gods wanted to kill him, they made him mad first. I hope edwin clark who advised him to contest as senator will follow him to the usa.

The empty headed money bag in typical PDP style spent money like it was going out of fashion to secure election victory, he manipulated the poor and ignorant with wads of dollars&naira, hundreds of thousands of packaged rice, and gifts to get their votes. If he is not reined now, the empty drug lord will be gunning for the number 1 position in Ogun state. He is Fayose's right hand man, and was instrumental to fayose's rice project victory in ekiti.
PoliticsRe: Gen Adeosun, Architect Of Nigeria's Renewed Push Against Boko Haram-guardian UK by emiye(m): 9:59pm On May 21, 2015
I am not surprised about the exploit of the Yoruba General, history of yorubas in getting breakthrough in complex warfare abounds.

Even, the only victory by Biafra in the Nigerian civil war through capture of the midwest was by a Yoruba man who was recruited from captivity. Gowon also recruited a yoruba man from captivity to serve as his vice president during the war.
PoliticsRe: Senatorial Candidate Proposes The Removal Of 4 Year Presidential Term Limit by emiye(m):
The man is an idiiot, Lack of term limit is one of the biggest reasons why there are lots of sit tight irresponsible leaders in many African countries , in actual fact, no country should have a constitution not indicating term limit of two terms. Burundi is now looking like it will go back in to the yesteryears of wars and coup, because the president wants to go for third term unconstitutionally.

Systems and institutions not individual.

PoliticsRe: Fashola Vs Akpabio. Updated:: Projects And Pictures. by emiye(m): 10:04pm On May 19, 2015
A thread like this exposes the uncommon braggadocio of akpabio. Lagos and Akwaibom has about the same annual budget, but Akpabio has a richer capital expenditure budget than Fashola, He claims to allocate 80% of his budget on Capital Projects, but when it is time to show these projects, the project rack is close to empty, Akpabio only dusts the likes of Seriake Dickson of bayelsa. In this WWW world, no one needs to be in Akwa ibom to see projects, just like you dont need to be in Lagos to be aware of Lagos state projects. I can bet this thread has even made some living in Lagos to be more aware of Lagos state projects, even though they have always lived in Lagos.

soe:
Lol

So it took him 7days to debunk the allegation.

Anyway, i have yabbed him already.

And like i said before, it is not about how many votes the yorubas gave to buhari, but how many votes they denied Jonathan.

Take the 1.8 million votes given to Buhari by southwest and add it to Gej's votes..what will you get?

Buhari: 15.4million - 1.8million = 13.6million
Jonathan: 12.4 milion + 1.8million = 14.2 million

So do you see what the Yorubas did for Buhari?

Anyone saying Yorubas didn't help Buhari as much as the North did should not be referred to as a fool cos that will be unfair to him

A fool is someone who has refused to use his brain.

You cannot call a brainless fellow a fool...i mean... It's just not available noni
It was actually 2.4 million votes from SW to buhari

Eziachi:
Some of you should stop mourning. What stops you having your own over age voters? Those you are tagging underage may already been fathers and mothers of a child or even vfamily dependent in their own rights.
In my opinion, the so called over age voting is the same with age in love. Age is only numbers, which a simple legislation can change. Mourning about over age voting is like those racist southerner American politicians mourning about their opponents winning with black vote when the law placated them from voting in those years.

Issue relating age of a voter is not rigging, what is rigging is announcing figures cooked up in a hotel, that doesn't represent human activity.
If someone is able and political aware enough to register, collect PVC, go for accreditation and stand patiently under the scorching sun and knew how to vote, age to me is irrelevant.
So stop mourning and roll out your own under age voters, that is, if they know actually aware of an election or are they more interested in the goings on the American idol voting.
Stop bleating like a loser.
thank you sir, someone sits down calmy in one corner, and within 10mins, he has thumb printed 500 ballot papers singlehandedly. I make bold to say, should the true votes be counted, GEJ will lose with a wider margin

Excellentmind:
As an apc supporter, underage who voted in the last election is over rated, therefore not a violation to the electoral act.

I hope your words will not hunt you in a few years to come if not days.
it is a violation of the electoral act, and it must be corrected, but I have seen many PDP supporters here made so much fuss about it as if it is a given that every underage voter voted for APC, that is quite illogical, the number of votes Jonathan had in kano was more than what he had in ekiti state.

my use of overrated is in place. I can bet it with you it was just about the least of the several irregularities in the last election.

He lost in 2011 but i disagree his popularity is overrated. He won all elected office single handedly in a state is not overrated. I personally does not like his person but Ekiti people loves him and as a yoruba man that I am" gba fun oga ooo" meaning " accept your boss authority "..
Well, my idea of him is that the said love is overrated, his coming back to govt house came on the heels of civil servants enmasse disagreeing and at logger heads with the former governor fayemi, it is not like he won with 70- 80-90% of votes in the states.
PoliticsRe: Do You Think Segun Oni Really Deserves This Kind Of Insult From Governor Fayose? by emiye(m): 2:48am On May 17, 2015

PoliticsRe: My Successor May Not Consolidate On My Achievements – Jega by emiye(m): 8:54pm On May 16, 2015
FreeGlobe:
Lol... We hope his successor will never allow underage voters only in the north again
Underage voting is overated, it had absolutely no effect on the 2015 results.

All across Nigeria, there were 120,000 polling units, i doubt, if there was any polling unit one can find 10 underage voters.

10 underage voters in 120,000 polling units = 1,2 millon underage voters . Who did the underage voters voted for ? APC or PDP ? Did they vote right or recorded void votes since they are underaged voters ?

Should we assume APC courtesy of JEGA stationed 10 underaged voters in all polling units in Nigeria to vote APC, will the 1.2 million votes had changed the result of the election, bearing in mind, the margin of defeat of incumbent was over 2.5 million votes.
PoliticsRe: My Successor May Not Consolidate On My Achievements – Jega by emiye(m): 8:45pm On May 16, 2015
Electronic voting is the new way, Voting must start and be concluded in less than 6 hours and results before the end of the day.

the longer the voting and collation process, the more the chances of manipulation. India with a population of over 1 billion now conducts its election and declares results in a day, Nigeria is less than 200 million, it can easily achieve such.

Jega has done well, and his scent of sincerity can always be perceived, but the same can not be said of some of his lieutenants, he will be remembered for good.

If that majority consensus will allow the bill to be passed , so be it, there are too many positives in the bill to allow just that clause to delay the passing of the bill, at the right time, an amendment can be made if well argued.

kudos to Aregbesola, even though he has failed to pay salaries for 6 months for which he deserves a knock, it is easier to see what he has done in 4 years+, currently osun state is no 36,on the fg allocation table , I.e the state with the least allocation from fg, one can say aregbe was trying to bite more than he can chew with his projects like airport, fg/state roads, mega schools, school feeding, learning tablet e.t.c for a state with a meagre allocation, he assumed and planned on the assumption that allocation will remain at worst stagnant, things went the other way round.

Foreign AffairsRe: Military Coup In Burundi, Pierre Nkurunziza Ousted by emiye(m): 8:42am On May 14, 2015
I would have wanted him to be shot in the head. No afican leader must "serve" beyond two terms , at most 10 years. AU must intervene by urging all countries under it to ensure term limits are enshrined in its constitution.

Thix comment breedz of a Slave happy that His Master is patting him on the back.......SE & SS, abeg thix comment just showed us that indeed the North controlz these puppetz.....Esau indeed, alwayz selling their birthright
when did endorsement from a zone become slave master relationship? most of you hallucinate, and believe the lies you formulated in your head. Yoruba's have typically been in opposition politics, it is. the. ibo's that usually suck up to the north.
tafawa balewa + azikwe *1st republic
shagari+ alex ekwuweme* 2nd republic.& 3rd reublic with ojukwu endorsement of shagari in 3rd republic to receive pardon to come back from assylum.

in the abiola aborted ambition , it was an hausa/fulani that was the vice, but his opponent was tofa and vice was an IBO man. the roles of IBO men like Arthur nzeribe, chukwumerije in sabotaging the abiola mandate is on history books.

in the 4th republic, due to the death of abiola, the Yoruba's agitation forced the hands of all major parties, and they all presented Yoruba candidates, the Yoruba's didn't support obasanjo who is perceived to be a northern establishment candidate , the ibo's did support him massively and he won, even though he lost in his home state.

ibo's have typically supported the northern establishment politically, and I am shocked at how u lots revise history.
PoliticsRe: PDP Reps ‘ll Vote Dogara For Speaker – Okwu by emiye(m): 3:29pm On May 13, 2015
I think people are revising history of 2011, even if the whole ACN members had voted for Mulikat Akande in 2011, she would not have won.

The results of the election was Tambuwal- 252 Mulikat Akande-90.

ACN house of rep members were in the region of 60, so how did the ACN stop Mulikat in 2011? Of a truth, it never supported her, but she wont have flied if ACN Supported her
