I can't help but notice as businesses are gradually being moved to/ established in Rwanda, as they seem to have enabling environment for startups, while we are here still squabbling amongst ourselves with tribalism and corruption.

I believe that the idea of using influencers are;

1. To reach more audience since these guys have the audience.

2. Build trust in the product or the manufacturer, cuz, some might believe that for a company that can afford a certain infleuncer is legit.

3. Convince the people who are already interested or have a need for the product to go ahead with a purchase, since they can attribute a face to the product due to the influencers.

4. Make some people purchase the products, just because of their obsession with the influencers.
Though I think these guys are in their minority, cuz, no right thinking person will just purchase a product they don't need just because of someone they might have not met in real life.

Finally.

When are you guys going to do something about the amount of hate, tribalism and vile comments that fly around on this forum. On the other hand, this current generation is proving to be dumber than the older generation, cuz the hate makes no sense to me.
