ajaokuta was a masterpiece in steel and iron productions as at then...but 500k staff is an exaggeration or sort..I was there in 2011 and the whole equipment are in comatose and they are obsolete.. what the company can employ at a go is ~6000 direct staff and about 4000 indirect staff...
but the problem now is steel and iron are now been recycled from scrap metals and China is a leader in this aspect of trade..

I was in this complex in 2011 to see things for my self as a young geologist on academic research..and it was an eyesore to having ironstone deposits wasting without been developed into iron billets and iron rods... the plant was built by Russians as it supplied electricity to ajaokuta community too..this complex can employ 6000 direct staff and close to 4000 indirect labour..
God will deliver our leaders to see beyond the present..

Letter of approval for payment was collected on Friday by alita aliyu.the sum of 299 billion has been earmarked for payment of pension to all "parastatals".the core civil servant is not included in the money and the good news is that it is not connected with 2017 budget, also a meeting will hold in abuja tomorrow on date of verification.

Yeah, I'm in the US, but I lived in Nigeria for a long time. We used to go to cybercafes a lot back then, and my overnight browsing back then were focused on whatever I liked to learn. Not sure if cybercafes are same as at then, but as long as you can stream videos, you can learn one a day till you have an arsenal of skills.

you really took your time to explain the basics of programming et al. I have interest in multimedia as per 3D,animations etc. my take now is how do I begin since I have no basic knowledge on the topic because my first degree is geological inclined...also any online links that I may get to study and learn from..

University was more or less a social gathering.. where d knowledge derivable can easily b obtained by someone with access to textbooks and the internet, in d comfort of his home​.

100% true...if all the self made millionaires followed our template for success, they wouldn't be where they are now..university education Is for selected few in courses like medicine..If I had my way,I'll have used the time and resources at the university to be an agricpreneur produce and package foods, raw materials for industries... all university education is a fun fare and social gatherings... that is why western world laughs at us..we still stuck in the Precambrian era of go to SCH, pass with a good grade and seek for jobs.. information and knowledge with its application is now the answer to our yearnings as blacks.

To geology students..micro and macro palaeontology was a do or die course.. you either know it or u fail it..lecture notes will be a whole 80 leaves and still counting and lecturer will say its a terminal course.. so loads of marine fauna n Flora, with terrestrial ancient fossils.. its all over now.

I was in Delta, kwale precisely for a whole year in 2016 for my NYSC.. we only had electricity for 2weeks..that like 2hours in a.month..I think the privatization was a hoax kos u privatized what is not available.. generation of power done by people with no technical know how...discos are reaping cool money from the populace by not providing pre paid meters... generator importers sabotage govt efforts to constant power. oil importers too do same so that people will buy fuel for their generators.. all this problems are not gonna allow light be...
