shoodboi2: He dares not agree. Many of them do not understand the evils of the ultra-capitalist system under which they live. And those that do, like that slowpoke, will never want to voice it out because they know they will be mocked.
Capitalism has its advantages but it should be in moderation, and not as extreme as it is practiced in US and UK. We all saw how Brian Thompson, the CEO of UnitedHealthCare health insurance was assassinated for refusing to pay for people's treatment.
This is the same US where people with heart attack send ambulances away because they don't want to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars for ambulance and hospital bills.
I mean, how in the world can you justify a trip in an ambulance costing $9000? That only happens in the US.
This man had a heart attack, called an ambulance, and when the ambulance gave him his bill, almost had another heart attack. 9000 dols for ambulance to a nearby hospital? It's that bad. |

Do your own DD/ research o, but this to me looks like a potential 100% ROI. This is the main reason i am putting more weight in stocks than bonds. The return is always massive with a fundamentally sound stock |

emmanuelewumi: Considering the earning growth rate at over 20% and the spread between the return on invested capital and average yield on a 10 year FGN bond the justified PE should be 12 and above Yes, i know the PE will be higher than the 8.3 i used but just want to be conservative and not raise my hope too high. Using a PE of 12 will give a price of #461/share Which means a 5m invested now in nahco may turn 50m plus in 5 years time compared to a total return of 10m in bond (mutual funds, FG bonds or TB on average)......we will see and keep monitoring the financial reports. Moreover thanks for the call on wapco, you identifying it made me to buy and i have gotten over 100% return on my investment. Reading Peter Lynch book made me to start increasing my stakes more in stocks than bonds. The return is always better. |

emmanuelewumi: I think revenue of N300 billion is achievable in 2029.
They should have a return on invested capital of 70% in 2024 A ROIC of 70% will be very very impressive. That means they can easily pay-off their wacc of between 20-30% and still have enough as retained earnings to grow the company organically without raising more debts or diluting the shares more. |
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by emmaodet: 10:13pm On Dec 19, 2024 |
Sunrisepebble: I was right, it’s actually 300bn in 5 years Haaaaa..........Just 5 years? that means a cagr of 45% of revenue going forward compared to 18% in previous years. How feasible is this? then by recalculating, forecasted eps = 38.5 with a net margin of 25%, nahco price by then should be = #319 using average P/E of = 8.3. Well, will be monitoring their quarterly report. To meet this target, a quarter report revenue should always be rising by 11%. We will see. |
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by emmaodet: 7:45pm On Dec 19, 2024 |
Sunrisepebble: Nahco went on full bid today. My #1 source has been marketing it to me now for months and I’m still yet to buy. They did a facts behind the figures this week and they’re projecting 71bn revenue next year and 300bn (seems unrealistic tho) in 5 years The revenue is 300bn in 10 years and not 5 years. Let's do a little calculation. Current share outstanding is 1.95b, market cap is 82b at current price of 41.95 naira. 9m revenue is 34b, so we can safely assume FY 2024 revenue will be 45b. 9m net income is 9.2b which is 27% net margin. Last 10 years revenue cagr is 18%, which means if we are to use a safe next 11 years revenue cagr of 15% from 45b 2024 FY revenue to 2034 = 209b compared to their own forecasted 300b (which is at 21% annual growth). So, i will prefer using our conservative 2034 FY 209b for calculation rather than their own 300b 2034 FY forecast. If the revenue for 2034 FY is 209b, then using a conservative net margin of 25%, net revenue will be 52b. Forecasted 2034 EPS = net income / out. shares = #27 The last 5 years average mean P/E is 8.3, using that for our calculation for 2034, Forecasted Price of Nahco in 2034 will be #224/share compared to the current #42/share and all these is aside the dividends received if we are to use the conservative revenue of 209b for 20234 instead of the company forecasted 300b revenue. Then we need to calculate for the NPV of the money invested - if we are to invest 1m now in nahco 2024, how much would it return in 2034? is it better off investing that money in nahco? or we will get a better return using the same 1m in buying a land at ijebu-ode now to sell 2034? considering devaluations and inflations. Time value of money. |

On the last Oando 9m report breakdown below by me -
Between sept/2024 and sep/2023 revenue increased by 35%, gross profit increased by 112%, gross margin increased by 2%, cash and cash equivalent increases by 143%, retained earnings improved by 19%, it has more cash than debt which are all green flags Operating profit reduced by 23% and margin by 4%, net profit reduced by 31% and margin by 2%, admin expenses increased by 96% yoy and admin margin by 3%, account receivables increased by 322% which is a very big concern, inventory increased also by 296%, account payable, short term debt, long term debt, other long term liabilities all increased by 184%, 115%, 303%, 267%, debt to equity also increased by a big margin, it is having a slight deteriorating balance sheet, a massive free cash flow deterioration which are all red flags 3m EBT is negative 14b plus and 9m EBT is 31b, a 45b tax credit was added to make the net profit 76b. Another concern is the huge and widening difference between net income and free cash flow. It is meant to be converging with positive net income rather widening. |

In all of those AGM's, I can count at least 10 people in this Oando that were also present. Infact, it was shocking to me that After the UBA and Transcorp AGM in Abuja, the next day was another AGM I think Dangote or so and all of them were still present there.

franchasofficia: As far as I know and can remember, Lagos have less busy areas. You can also try neighboring towns to Lagos.
You can relocate to Ifo in Ogun state which is near Lagos but very low paced and almost like a village.
You can relocate to Agbara in Ogun state which is also a quiet and low paced town close to Lagos. Agbara is also like a village with some city facilities.
You can try those Akute and environs near Redeem camp area along Lagos-Ibadan expressway, they are quiet and low paced like village, while being close to Lagos.
You can try Epe side, it's a village near Lagos.
You can also try Badagry, it's another low paced area in Lagos that is almost like your village but close to Lagos.
Whatever decision you decide to take, make sure you are close to Lagos that helped you build the hustles you said are paying you currently. Don't ever make the mistake of relocating too far from Lagos.
Because of the huge human population in Lagos, it gives more opportunities for people ready to offer legitimate services or those wanting to startup a business to sell or render a service. Whether the economy is dead or alive, so long as there is human population, they must need things to survive and continue living. This is what makes Lagos a city of opportunity for serious hustlers. Even if you decide to be selling sand in Lagos, you will definitely find people ready to buy the sand. If you decide to be selling intimacy gadgets or one funny thing, there are people in Lagos looking for that funny thing to buy lol
So don't throw away the opportunity you have in quest of self fulfillment at your young age. Think future, think beyond now. Anything can happen to those your online hustle that you think is paying well now and you are back to square one, how would you rise up if you are in your village with limited opportunities due to low population?
In summary, don't relocate back to your village, resist that dangerous call and urge. Resist which call? When village people dey call am? |

Karleb: Men still love more than women though.
They provide, not only for the woman but also for her family. But these women would swear they won't give their husband a dime and still cheat or give him a bastard. Men provide not because they want but because that is a necessity. A relationship where the man doesn't provide will virtually stop existing in a short time because the woman will ask what is she benefiting from this marriage or relationship? No money, no food, nothing just a useless dick? So you see, we won't provide under normal condition if the relationship will still go on without it. |

LordAdam16: If a country was threatening Russia or China with all-out war or strike on its nuclear sites, they'd immediately start "largest in history" drills, mobilization, and saber-rattling.
China just launched the largest drill off Taiwan with more than 90 ships and dozens of aircraft in response to the Taiwanese President visiting Guam. They simulated attack on foreign ships and rehearsed blockade routes.
Satanyahu gives a speech directly to the Iranian public threatening regime change. Trump refuses to rule out US-Israeli strikes on Iran Israeli media broadcast plans to strike Iran, start all-out war, and conduct regime change. NATO spy planes have been flying off the coast of Iran this week in the same patterns they fly preceding strikes on Crimea.
Yet these oafs are treating these provocations with levity. No mobilizations. No drills. No military exercises. No weapons test. Russia has been conducting drills--both nuclear and conventional--regularly despite being at war. You have to familiarize your troops with maneuvers they'd undertake in a war with Israel/US. You have to do it often, such that it becomes second-nature. Not scrambling when Israeli/USAF jets are in the air.
-Lord They are called Mullahs for a reason. Even Niger did better when Nigeria threatened to invade them. We saw how their president came out to mobilize the youths of the country that even if the odds are against them, they have the population willing to take up arms. I think the mullahs time is up |

Thank God his son became the governor, and he's now the king, and I hope with his increased salary and wealth he can support some of his other children through school and trade, which is highly unlikely, as a matter of fact he's most likely to take other wives than supporting the wives and kids he has now.
The father is a very selfish human being, 30 wives for companionship because he was ostracize by the community... This is absurd! |

"On March 2, 2017, at dawn, I arrived near Palmyra and was there together with a high-ranking official from the Syrian administration, who came to thank my fighters for agreeing to recapture Palmyra from the enemy for the second time.
The Syrian troops refused to support us during this assault. In principle, the Syrian army rarely fought, usually they followed in our footsteps in droves when the deed was already done. This is what happened on Palmyra.
The first to enter Palmyra was Ratibor, the commander of the first assault squad. I remember his words well, he turned to the official and said: "If you lose Palmyra again, we will definitely not recapture it for the third time."
Today, Palmyra fell for the third time...

iamonpointa: What did you study, sir?
I don't have a degree as I never went to the university. I've thought about enrolling in an online course, but I don't even know where to start or which course to study. I wouldn't say that I care much for a degree, just the knowledge would be enough for me.
But I can't really pinpoint anything that I'm passionate about.
I'm into mini-importation business. Things aren't as good as they used to be, due to the economy but I'm doing alright.
Even when things were going really well (financially), I've always felt like I'm meant for more in life, even though I don't know which step to take.
All I can think of is how to make more money. Even when I know that it wouldn't make me feel fulfilled as a person. My biggest fear is being broke as I don't really have anyone to turn to for financial assistance.
One thing I can say that I'd like to improve is my diction and communication skills. Sometimes, I refrain from giving opinions because I couldn't articulate them or wouldn't come out the way I'd like.
What advice would you have for me?
Thanks for your time. God bless you. Have told you what to do. Do those things I previously wrote about and within 6 months, you will detect the ones you like among. Making money is never enough rather how to you money for satisfaction and create happiness else, it will useless. About finance, we all have the fear of not being broke or poor. In this case, my best option is to open a mutual funds or passive income. Something generating money for you by the side without your involvement. It really reduces our fear if we know we have something by the side to fall back to in worst case scenario. Businesses have cycles, there are boom times when you make a lot and the doom times when it crumbles or slows down or kicked out by a stronger competitor or being swallowed up by stronger ones. Knowing you have both naira and dollar mutual funds giving you atleast 500k per month to atleast feed and float pending when you sort yourself and start rising again gives a huge psychological balance |

I feel lost and lonely cos I also don't keep friends I will advise you better change bro else, you will look back at your life and feel sad. Enrol in a nice gym, go to a pool atleast a week and pay swimming instructor for training. Join social clubs like rotary club or 36 lioness for a start while you scale up later to bigger and better ones. Taekwondo class, long tennis club and you start meeting more people and better ones. Your social life will improve and you feel better and happier and more opportunities will open from there. Go to Instagram and join active tour and event groups for weekend outings like beach, sip and paints etc and a different world opening to you |
