Aiit then.. pls what percentage does the MMF and fixed income offer monthly? Btw I never knew the MMF and fixed income offer same flexibility until now..
All government-regulated investment is rated per annum but it's usually prorated such that you have a daily interest calculated on investors' holdings and accrued interest is paid/reinvested at the end of each quarter,

The flexibility for fixed income and MMF is the same as per redemption- easy entry and exit. The major difference is the underlying assets and the minimum holding period, for most fixed-income funds, it's six months holding period but SFS fixed income is peculiar, the holding period is also 30 days like MMF.

I assure you a smooth ride once you come on board MMF or Fixed income.

Ok.. The MMF is obviously what I would eventually opt in for due to its flexibility of withdrawing funds at anytime. Thanks!
Okay.
You can click the link on my signature to start the process.
Note if you go for the MMF, pick tier 3
That is the package without limitation.

Tier 1 is limited, your investment cannot be more than 200k and you cannot invest more than 20k at a time. It's just for financial inclusion to accommodate very low cadre of the financial pyramid

But for the tier3 no such limitations.

By the way the fixed income is as flexible as the MMF

Attention Investors in SFS Fixed Income Fund Using my Link.

Thank you for supporting my ministry.
Your patronage is really much appreciated and never taken for granted.

Please note that after you verify your BVN kindly generate your virtual account number.
This will enable you to have a personalized account number such that as you deposit into it, the money goes straight to your investment there is no waiting time.

You can also give your virtual/personalized account number to a 3rd party and once money is transferred into the account, it goes straight to your investment. This can be helpful if you don't want to spend the particular money you are expecting, in that case, you can just give your virtual account number to the source of the cash e.g a debtor or even your company. You don't even need any description. Once you use your virtual account, it's treated as your personal bank account only that the content always goes to your investment directly.

When generated, it's normally Wema or sterling bank account in most cases.

As usual, I'm always available for any further clarification if needed. See my contact details in my signature.

Is there a website or some place we can have access to compare yield of different mutual funds?
I want to even do a 5 - 7 years comparison on some funds
You can check the Fund managers association website. I doubt if that could help because Mutual funds rates particularly MMF is dependent on MPR, TBills in particular, size of the fund and the underlying assets are all determining factor for MMF rates. It will be difficult to have a fund that has all these factors the same at a particular time, hence you may be comparing apples with oranges.
Moreover, as it's usually said "Past performance is no guarantee of future results."

If you are in for low-risk investment, MMF is good for you, your capital is guaranteed and of course, returns are sure even though not high compared to rates of riskier investment windows.

Considering MMF or Fixed income, click the link on my signature to start the process. You can also reach me if you need further clarification.

Don't stay without doing anything with your cash

You don't have access to dollars,
you don't have as much as 50m
You can't do real estate because of limited funds
Inflation is 22%+

The above is a list of some realities yet you can still do something

Invest in MMF and reinvest your interest (Compounding) you could reduce the negative real returns by half
Have a long-term objective and invest in good dividend-paying stocks on the NGX
You can still get a dividend yield of up to 15% in some stocks
Don't stop investing irrespective of the inflation rate
Don't invest in get-rich-quick schemes it can be more devastating than high inflation
Remember the popular saying " Return of investment is better than or to be
considered first before return on investment"
Your cash in your hands suffers more when not invested.

Start somewhere and do something with what you have now

Be wise!

Ok I thought profits are calculated monthly NOT annually. Being that as it may, I don't feel it worth investing 1M just to profit 111-113k in a year time that's somehow poor.

I'll rather invest my money in physical bussiness than this online investment that's I'll have to wait till a year time reached b4 enjoying the dividends of my profit.
Investing in a business and investing in a MMF are two different investment windows.
They are not of the same risk category or involvement of the investor.

MMF is in the category of low risk investment
All things being equal the lower the risk the lower the returns.
Moreover investments are made in different categories to achieve specific purpose.

Please note that you don't have to wait for one year to get your returns in MMF, though rate is per annum, it's prorated such that you earn interest daily and you get credited quarterly.

Most investors use MMF as another form of high interest savings compare to fixed deposits in MDBs. MMF is highly recommended for investors with low risk appetite and also good for emergency fund.

So you can still do both business and MMF.

Daily interest is determined by the values of the underlying asset classes.

Good Day Boss is it that other Banks the like of Access bank dont offer mutual fund, treasury Bill and so on. Just asking for my saké House
MDBs sells tbills but those that offer the services of asset management or fund management do so through their subsidiary. Those subsidiaries operate as seperate entities.

The likes of FBN, FCMB, STANBIC, GTCO all do through their subsidiaries.

So in the real sense no bank offer mutual fund services.

Reinvest profit for March? I thought they are supposed to pay quarterly profits made up of January, February and March?
Generally, most of the MMF managers reinvest accrued interest quarterly. Stanbic is an exception, they choose to reinvest investors accrued interest monthly. They started this year January as against the random reinvesting before now. Check your account, you would have seen the reinvested interest of January and February.

The above is the default arrangement, if an investor opt otherwise, the interest will be paid into their bank account.

Stanbic MMF is becoming too slow in updating account. This is evening already and weekend returns have not be updated. Even to reinvest earnings for the month of March is yet to be done.
@emmasoft and ponzihater what is happening? This is unlike stanbic
Don't worry everything will be in place. It's end of quarter things.
Remember stanbic has a lot on the table.
However, be rest assured that all accrued interest will reflect accordingly and the value date for your reinvestment will be adjusted in accordance with the rule of the MMF.

The statement from the CA announcement reads in part;
'Proposed dividend- A final dividend of 36k per N2 ordinary share out of which 6k per N2 had been paid to shareholders in December, 2022 and the final dividend of 36k subject to appropriate withholding tax and approval will be paid to shareholders whose names appear in the registrar of members as at the close of business on June 21st, 2023."

There has to some clarification from management on what the actual final DPS will be. ...is it 30k or 36k?
The phrase; "out of which", appears to suggest that the 6k interim dividend which was paid in Dec, 2022 was factored into that 36k pay before arriving at a total. (36k)
But then again if this were the case, the later part should have read; "...and a final dividend of 30k (not 36k as stated) subject to..."

Could be a typo error, but management needs to clarify that part.
But whether 30 or 36k, its a great payout from AXA MANSARD INSURANCE.

I remember advising some folks to sell-off their stakes before the share capital reconstruction and wait to buy back thereafter.
Good move then, but buying back didn't go as planned. (for some persons)
I was also waiting to buy back lower (</=N1.5) but eventually missed out.
Those in should enjoy their loot. wink cheesy cool

It is well.
They just did that in their corporate action announcement even though they still used the word final dividend twice instead of using total dividend. The final dividend is 30k
