Windblown2much:All government-regulated investment is rated per annum but it's usually prorated such that you have a daily interest calculated on investors' holdings and accrued interest is paid/reinvested at the end of each quarter, The flexibility for fixed income and MMF is the same as per redemption- easy entry and exit. The major difference is the underlying assets and the minimum holding period, for most fixed-income funds, it's six months holding period but SFS fixed income is peculiar, the holding period is also 30 days like MMF. I assure you a smooth ride once you come on board MMF or Fixed income. |
faoogoke:For now I dey SFS capital for fixed income fund at 11.05% Stanbic IBTC for MMF at 9.33% Investment one stockbroking for stockbroking products. |
Redoil:Okay. I believe you mean Providus Bank, yes it's also one of the banks your personalized account can be domiciled. |
Windblown2much:Okay. You can click the link on my signature to start the process. Note if you go for the MMF, pick tier 3 That is the package without limitation. Tier 1 is limited, your investment cannot be more than 200k and you cannot invest more than 20k at a time. It's just for financial inclusion to accommodate very low cadre of the financial pyramid But for the tier3 no such limitations. By the way the fixed income is as flexible as the MMF |

yak:You can check the Fund managers association website. I doubt if that could help because Mutual funds rates particularly MMF is dependent on MPR, TBills in particular, size of the fund and the underlying assets are all determining factor for MMF rates. It will be difficult to have a fund that has all these factors the same at a particular time, hence you may be comparing apples with oranges. Moreover, as it's usually said "Past performance is no guarantee of future results." If you are in for low-risk investment, MMF is good for you, your capital is guaranteed and of course, returns are sure even though not high compared to rates of riskier investment windows. Considering MMF or Fixed income, click the link on my signature to start the process. You can also reach me if you need further clarification. |
Don't stay without doing anything with your cash You don't have access to dollars, you don't have as much as 50m You can't do real estate because of limited funds Inflation is 22%+ The above is a list of some realities yet you can still do something Invest in MMF and reinvest your interest (Compounding) you could reduce the negative real returns by half Have a long-term objective and invest in good dividend-paying stocks on the NGX You can still get a dividend yield of up to 15% in some stocks Don't stop investing irrespective of the inflation rate Don't invest in get-rich-quick schemes it can be more devastating than high inflation Remember the popular saying " Return of investment is better than or to be considered first before return on investment" Your cash in your hands suffers more when not invested. Start somewhere and do something with what you have now Be wise! |

Windblown2much:Investing in a business and investing in a MMF are two different investment windows. They are not of the same risk category or involvement of the investor. MMF is in the category of low risk investment All things being equal the lower the risk the lower the returns. Moreover investments are made in different categories to achieve specific purpose. Please note that you don't have to wait for one year to get your returns in MMF, though rate is per annum, it's prorated such that you earn interest daily and you get credited quarterly. Most investors use MMF as another form of high interest savings compare to fixed deposits in MDBs. MMF is highly recommended for investors with low risk appetite and also good for emergency fund. So you can still do both business and MMF. |
Streetinvestor2:Find attached |
Willie2015:I will get back to you as per Asset backed loan Confirmed from the team in charge. SFS as a firm don't give such loans. They only give such loan if you happen to be a staff of Polaris bank. |
Kpboy1:Like Pa Emma said he's correct. In addition, you get a very good service. The services have improved much after they spin off the mutual fund business. You will also have access to their research though you will still be required to do your due diligence. I will personally be available to attend to you. Please let me know when you are ready to open account so that you can use my code. Thank you. |
Tolu181:You can do SFS Fixed income fund. Operates just like MMF. Daily valued, easy entry and exit, no penalty on withdrawal after 30 days of depodit, rate is relatively stable at an verage of 11.02 for over six months now It's currently at 11.05;%. Click the link on my signature to register. |
igbizen:Daily interest is determined by the values of the underlying asset classes. |
Chijohn42k:Very possible and that is actually the best method to open an account. To open account, click the link on my signature. Complete the form that comes up. After submission, details will be sent to your email. You will need a passport photo, ID card, utility bill that is not older than three months to complete your registration. You can also chat me up with the number on my signature if you need any assistance or clarification. |
Chijohn42k:MDBs sells tbills but those that offer the services of asset management or fund management do so through their subsidiary. Those subsidiaries operate as seperate entities. The likes of FBN, FCMB, STANBIC, GTCO all do through their subsidiaries. So in the real sense no bank offer mutual fund services. |
lolaluv1:Generally, most of the MMF managers reinvest accrued interest quarterly. Stanbic is an exception, they choose to reinvest investors accrued interest monthly. They started this year January as against the random reinvesting before now. Check your account, you would have seen the reinvested interest of January and February. The above is the default arrangement, if an investor opt otherwise, the interest will be paid into their bank account. |
igbizen:Don't worry everything will be in place. It's end of quarter things. Remember stanbic has a lot on the table. However, be rest assured that all accrued interest will reflect accordingly and the value date for your reinvestment will be adjusted in accordance with the rule of the MMF. |
onegentleguy:They just did that in their corporate action announcement even though they still used the word final dividend twice instead of using total dividend. The final dividend is 30k https://doclib.ngxgroup.com/Financial_NewsDocs/38111_AXA_MANSARD_INSURANCE_PLC-AXA_MANSARD_-_CORPORATE_ACTION_CORPORATE_ACTIONS_APRIL_2023.pdf |
