demelza: So we shouldnt hold these pastors accountable for their disastrous actions? And you want us to accept pastors sleeping with their members because it has somehow become the norm?
I aint got no words to waste with you dude.
You choose to call them your pastors.
They are not my pastors and no clergy is accountable to me.

Only elected office holders are accountable to me.

No Pastor, Babalawo,Alfa,Imam or Wolee is accountable to me.

demelza: If you try and free your brains from the hold of your pastor, it will do you a whole world of good.
Does an ordinary member have a congregation that he is accountable to?
No one gives two fùcks if members sleep with themselves, its nothing new.
The grouse here is with a pastor who while having a wife, sleeps with his members and later climbs the pulpit to preach morality and righteousness.
Like I said earlier just try to use your brain.
See your hypocrisy, so sleeping with the pastor is bigger than sleeping with member. Both the pastor and members are mortal men with no difference.

Pastors sleeping with members is not new only a fool will make noise about it.

Even if she provides the video, the fact is that she willingly slept with the man.
Is this Pastor the only man she ever slept with.

Will she be making these noise if she slept with ordinary church member.

Afam4eva: I condemned the governor of Abia state when he did something relative. You can check my post history. The reason why Fashola's own was more pronounced is because he's the governor of the most important state in Nigeria. I condemned Fashola's action from a constitutionally point of view and not from a tribal prism like a lot of people did and i will continue to condemn any state governor that carries out similar actions because it's not in tandem with the laws of the land.
Did you condemn FASHOLA when deported Yorubas?

PointB: Going to pay last respect to his friend, despite what people might say would have definitely been much better than the long essay written to defend the reason he didn't go. Reasons, which of course he failed to state.

I personally don't see the need for this epistle. He didn't go to pay final respect to a friend, and critics latched on it, wouldn't it have been more dignifying for the erudite professor to maintain a golden silence? What purpose does this angry rant serve? To fuel further bad blood?

PoliticsRe: Nigerians Can't Have Free Potable Water- Minister by emmatok(m): 9:28pm On Jun 18, 2013
Ptimes: The Minister of Water Resources, Sarah Ochekpe, said on Monday that it will be impossible to have free potable water in Nigeria.
Speaking at the Ministerial platform in Abuja, Mrs. Ochekpe said it will not be possible to have potable water due to the cost of distribution and maintenance of equipment
“It is not possible for water to be free, because water is so expensive to process, there’s the use of reservoir, building treatment plants, chemicals, payment of professionals and also channeling water to homes; all these cost money,” Mrs. Ochekpe said.

noblezone: Then build special schools for them.
Customize the schools to be suitable and to attract them.
Offer them scholarships.
Start from the scratch and build them up to the required standards.
Train and equip special teachers for that purpose.
Recognize their efforts,
Celebrate their progress,
Reward excellence among them,

Persist, challenge them, set targets for them, their families and the communities.
don't stop until targets are met!!!!!

My position is never that they should be left without education: I am rather saying that promoting a child who can hardly solve primary 1 mathematics to secondary (in the name of quota) is not a solution. It will even make things worse.

Short cuts might appear as progress, but it will destroy any foundation in no time!
Yes, our foundation has been destroyed.
You're talking as if you're not a Nigerian were everybody wants to the represented in the name of NATIONAL CAKE.

If we should go by your list only FIVE STATES Will dominate the UNITY SCHOOLS.

Do you know that even with lowering standard for the North, only few of them still get education.
The south still dominate those UNITY SCHOOLS.
The south still produce more lawyers.
The south still produce more doctors.
The south still dominate the education industry.

Yet, let me state clearly that even in Gombe, there are great brains!
Only that the resources of such brains are not tapped because quota is there to provide short cut.
Most of the best brains are the few elites that can afford Private or foreign schools.
Some were made to believe that Qur'anic schools are better than western education.
The government cannot just ignore them to their Faith.

They need to be ENTICED with education.

noblezone: What are you talking about?
Lower standard to encourage?

Now here is the drill:
Lowering the standard of education will produce low standard graduates,
that gives you the low standard workforce, low standard service delivery and low standard quality of life.

Funny enough, these low standard work force do get the best of appointments and positions.
these people end up taking decisions on how the country is run, and yet we are complaining that the nation is not moving forward!

By the way, when you lower the standard, these students who cannot cope in normal academic environment, will end up getting certificates but remain virtually illiterates.

It is the responsibility of the state government to prepare the children in the state at the primary school level. That the kids "refused" to go to school is failure of the parents, the religious institution and the state governments.

You can take a horse to the river, but you cant force it to drink.
As for me, it has become a burden that I live in a nation where merit is scorned and mediocrity embraced! such a retrogressive nation!
It is my parental responsibility to leave a legacy of a progressive society for my children.
I can hear Biafra beckoning! And I have answered without reservations!
Even in your Biafra, what Will you do if some people don't have the capacity to compete with others.

Will you allow only Anambra people dominate you civil services and schools in the name of MERIT?

When you become leader you will understand better.

noblezone: Whether schools for gender or disabled, there are standards that must not be compromised. The goal is still academic excellence. There are prerequisites to certain level of promotions.

A student who could not understand simple equation is promoted to a class where he would handle quadratic equation so that he can fill quota!!!

What is wrong with you people? Any country that allows such will surely sink to abyss!
No wonder we are hearing of graduates who cannot write their names!

There is nothing wrong in building special schools for those who cannot cope with normal academic programs. But there is everything wrong when you pick a student who should be in a special school to a normal academic environment and then lower the standard so that the student can "measure" up, and the singular purpose is not for learning but to fill "quota". What Yobe needs is thorough campaign in the grassroots on the need for education and not to promote kids who cannot read and write to secondary schools.

And I keep repeating this: I don't want my kids in such a country where merit is traded for mediocrity. I guess it is part of my responsibility as their father! Nigeria either reforms fast or continue to sink into abyss.

Yet, for those who want to move forward, we are looking critically to an alternative to Nigeria.
If not for quota system some people will never get education, because they don't want education. This is why the people in the North are easily brainwashed by BOKO-HARAM.
The government needs to lower the standard to encourage them.

These do not apply the Higher Institutions.

That's why you have less Doctors and Lawyers from the North compared to the south.

noblezone: Can your logic really apply here?
In this case, Anambra will have a JAMB cut off of 350 while that of Gombe will be 5 both for medicine.
Jamb and Unity schools cut-off are not same.

Unity schools are based on federal character.

Jamb cut-off is base on demand for particular Course of study and quality of the University.

How many Universities offer Law and Medicine.

How many doctors and lawyers do you get from the north compared to the south.
EducationRe: 2013 F G C Cutoffs: Anambra 139, Imo 138, Yobe 2! by emmatok(m): 9:57pm On Jun 07, 2013
qualified: cut off in courses in universities is not hinged on demand and supply, though it look so, on d surface. Law and Medicine, as u said are high, cos dullards wil not be able to learn n comprehend d principles in those serious courses.
Wrong, students going for law and Medicine are usually brilliant, they score higher than the basic Jamb scores, but only exceptional students meet the cut-off.
The higher the demand the higher the cut-off.
Compare cut-off for Federal universities and State universities.
EducationRe: 2013 F G C Cutoffs: Anambra 139, Imo 138, Yobe 2! by emmatok(m): 12:24am On Jun 07, 2013
Cut-off is based on demand and supply.
If you have high demand from a particular Region, you raise the cut-off, to allow others participate.

Thesame pattern is used by Jamb to control the demand for some courses in University.
Medicine and Law always have the highest cut-off due the demands.
