Sincere 9gerian: Olodo! And who pays you for your die hard opposition to the FG on this forum? Tinubu or Buhari? Who pays you for all the negative articles you copy and paste on this forum?

I derive satisfaction from my position on this forum. I stand for positives, progress and development of my country, led by GEJ at the moment. Other nations did not develop by pulling down their president. I will not join in pulling down this president. I will support him to succeed and assess him in 2015. You can continue your devilish work for your evil pay masters.

Meanwhile, the reasons you gave for hating this president are senseless, porous and ridiculous.
Why fight everybody over GEJ issues.
You are going extremely bad with these your politics.

what of if Jonathan rules till 2019 and Nigeria do not improve and lives of the Gej blind supporters do not get better or it got worst. who are they going to support for the next election since they want nothing but from ss.
That's exactly what Amechi is saying.
GEJ supporters knows the economic situation won't improve, but since their Son GEJ is in power.

Don't you know what a moratorium is?
This is from your post

In September 1985 a two-year moratorium on nearly all vehicle imports was imposed

China didn't ban all vehicle imports even with the moratorium.
PoliticsRe: FG Plans To Ban Importation Of Vehicles by emmatok(m): 10:23pm On Sep 17, 2013
Rossikk: IGNORAMUSES, READ AND LEARN:

HOW CHINA BECAME A MAJOR CAR MANUFACTURER

''The automotive industry in China has been the largest in the world measured by automobile unit production since 2008. Since 2009 annual production of automobiles in China exceeds that of the European Union or that of the United States and Japan combined. In 2009, China produced 13.79 million automobiles''.

HOW IT HAPPENED

1980 to 1990

''The passenger car industry was a minor part of vehicle production during the first three decades of China’s socialist economy. As late as 1985, the country produced a total of only 5,200 cars....

As domestic production was very limited, import totals rose dramatically, despite a 260 per cent import duty on foreign vehicles. Before 1984, the dominant exporter of cars to China had been the Soviet Union. In 1984, Japan's vehicle exports to China increased sevenfold (from 10,800 to 85,000) and by mid-1985 China had become Japan's second biggest export market after the US. The country spent some $3 billion to import more than 350,000 vehicles (including 106,000 cars and 111,000 trucks) in 1985 alone..

As this spending binge began to lead to a severe trade deficit, the Chinese leadership put on the brakes, both through propaganda efforts and by making foreign exchange much less accessible. Customs duties on imported goods were raised in March 1985 and a new "regulatory tax" was added a little later. In September 1985 a two-year moratorium on nearly all vehicle imports was imposed.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Automotive_industry_in_China

Can you see? Yet tomorrow you will say you want to be like China, but you don't want to sacrifice the way the Chinese sacrificed. Go on. Allow free imports of all foreign vehicles till infinity. USELESS IDIOTS!!!!
And did they banned vehicle imports to China.
Not even US,Japan nor Germany try such.

You can increase tariffs and duties.

Most people living in Ogun actually do their major shopping in Lagos.

solopumpy227: Just some observations from comments on this thread:

* The GEJ-led FG seems not to have started/completed much verifiable projects in SW region of the nation (may be the situation is the same in other regions)
* The GEJ-led FG seems not to be interested in honest and deliberate development but deciept to win 2015 favour.
* Ogun state has the 'lowest' GDP in the Southern Nigeria but the State government which is ~ 2 years younger than GEJ-led FG has achieved so much in area of urban renewal and road construction throughout the State
* Why is it always difficult to find pictures of FG projects with the lion share of the national cake?
Who told you Ogun has the lowest GDP in the south.

PoliticsRe: Lagos-ibadan Express Road Work In Progress by emmatok(m): 4:40pm On Sep 16, 2013
Sincere 9gerian: Do these Tinubu dogs have no shame? The President flagged off work on the road. We've seen pictures of ongoing works on this thread. Some NLanders have testified to commencement of work. But despite these mounting evidence, Tinubu dogs insist no work is going on. What evidence do they have for holding this position? Nothing. They just HOPE and PRAY that work should not commence on the road. Why would a normal human being hope that Lag-Ibadan road remains in its deplorable state? Because that is what makes their master,Tinubu, happy.

Well, whether Tinubu and his dogs like it or not, work has commenced and will continue till its completed. Any challenge encountered on the road will be overcomed.
That's thesame road I pass through every time,
Is MOWE,IBAFO not part of Lagos-Ibadan express road?

Can you please show us the part been constructed.

PoliticsRe: Osun State GDP Higher than Imo, Abia, Anambra, Enugu & Ebonyi by emmatok(m): 10:37pm On Sep 15, 2013
kettykin: If you know a little bit of economics it wouldn't take you much to realise that having a lot of cash transactions is as a result of a high purchasing power parity, for cities like Aba and Onitsha it simply means there is more disposable income in those cities chasing lots of goods and services leading to high private consumption which will lead more production of those goods and services which is a good measure of GDP. But a town with very low spending power will result in lower private consumption like Oyo is experiencing this leads to a discouraging local production and if at all there is production the produce would be for export to lagos
Stop confusing yourself.
GDP is not higher purchasing power.
e.g Income noodles is produced in Ogun while the consumers are in Lagos.

Who gets the money-OGUN grin

ABA and Onitsha can be for buying and selling while the manufacturers are in OYO.

Who gets the money-OYO wink

THAT IS HOW GDP WORKS.

kettykin: First they started these rumours with being the most educated, later jamb was able to truncate their hollow lies with their valid data posted on their website which Dibu ojerinde removed as soon as he became the jamb boss, when this dawned on them that their age long fallacies has been uncovered they started another baseless fallacy and deception with their universities ranking system which has been flushed down the dustbin of history with award winning professors produced by universities in the east rated lowly by their worthless Web rankings.
Next they started another futile dissipation of energy with their over hyping of the achievements of Fashola which has been deflated with results from Uyo, enugu and Rivers, still not done yet they campaigned with out success the un viability of enugu international airport prior to August 24 only to be thoroughly shamed and baffled with consistent flight traffic.
One of their agents presently has a law case hanging over his neck as a result of his misplaced and misguided aggression from attacking and smearing the reputation of some igbo married women when he was presented with bare facts about the ownership of lagos their last hope.
Now they are going about with some fictitious GDP figures trying to sway the sentiments of gullible online Bloggers, this they are doing not minding the fact that the Central Bank of Nigeria has updated nigerians with all the cities where 90% of the monetary transactions and deposits occur.

Of what use is ibadan/Oyo GDP figures when the monetary transactions in Aba and Onitsha is very much higher than it.
Where is the gross domestic product when the it does not produce monetary transactions , the measure of goods and services should translate to cash transactions and measurements
GDP is the value of goods and services produced within a country in a given period of time.

GDP is not buying and selling.

Adelaide2: Dude, I did not manufacture the data (Geez, a Yoruba man did) that says Ogun is the poorest in southern Nigeria
Adelaide2: Cost of living is very very low in Oyo and Osun which explains their Per capita. Cost of living is very high in Eastern Nigeria (SE, SS) yet most have a very high standard of living. How do you explain that? As far as I am concerned only Lagos and Ogun and to some extent Ondo are viable states in SW. In SE, only Ebonyi is unviable. I am on the ground and I see the poverty in Oyo and Osun. Yet I am told Osun is better than Ogun. Tell that to the morons.
Do you notice the contradiction in your posts.

Reading statistical data is above you skill set.
Stick to fictional literature and newspaper gossip.
Leave statistic alone.

Crassus: are you saying people who live in areas with low income per capital are facing absolute or relative poverty? are prices of goods and services fixed in every part of the country?

are you going to pay the same price for housing in lagos and oyo for example?

or does food cost in Enugu and oshogbo the same?

low income per capital areas usualy have lower cost of goods and services. if the GDPs of these areas increases yearly (Like Ogun is is currently doing according to figures in the same report). income per capital will increase to with time..

Go and sit down and learn jare.
Just ignore the DUD,

OGUN is currently the most industrialized state in Nigeria
OGUN houses more Tertiary institutions than all SE put together.
OGUN is currently the major source of building raw material in the country.

We asked you to wait until the official data is out you refused. You at first claimed this was from NBS but you could not supply a link. Someone else or you with another name did, and it happens to be unofficial stuff. Even at that, SE state are not doing badly at all from that data and even Ebonyi is better than Ogun. Lagos that is the best is 50 % Igbo. Now you say the 2013 One Ogun is better, can you post the link of that one or it is in your dreams? pastor4real: @emmatok: You are wrong again. Most foreigners and citizens live by the minimum wage here, most of these foreigners have degree from there home countries but it is very difficult to get into the system here with your foreign education unless you are a doctor, pharmacist, nurse etc. With your degree you will end up with the minimum wage jobs. Ask our people with degree from Nigeria where they work. Most Nigerians with degree from Nigeria work in Parking lots, walmart store making $7.25, $8 or $9 an hour plus tips if you come across a good customer.

This place is good if you are young and you are coming here to school. Also make sure you study something that will be marketable, something like doctor, pharmacist, nurse, engineer.
Well in Nigeria degree holders also work has gateman, cleaners, dispatch riders and collect minimum wage.

The fact is that a minimum wage earnings in US is better than Nigeria minimum wage earnings.

Goods and services are cheaper in the US.
With less than $1000 you will look good, fed well and get some essential electronics.

Can you try that with 20000 per month in Nigeria.

pastor4real: @emmatok: You are right about the infrastructures, accommodation and the purchasing power. You totally wrong about getting good accommodation for $500. In Pennsylvania, Delaware and New York; you will need at least $900 to rent 1bedroom flat to live in good location with rest of mind. You are right that u can get a used car for less than $1000, my friend that will be a good one, be ready to spend extra $1000 plus on the car. You cannot survive with $8/hr unless u want to rent a room from som1 who own a house, that will cost between $300 to $400 a month.
That is more reason most people cannot afford to go to school. Some schools charge up to $25,000 a year. At the end of your program you will be in debt because you have to pay back your student loan. To get job is hard these days, and when you get one, you will be lucky if they offer you $30,000 a year for an entry level job. If you have brother/sister abroad ask them how much they make per year, also ask them there take home pay because here they don't joke with tax.
Pastor minimum wages are for unskilled-semiskilled workers.e.g cleaners,gateman,messengers e.t.c.
