PoliticsRe: USA Minimum Wage Vs Nigeria Minimum Wage. by emmatok(m): 1:14pm On Sep 15, 2013
mayten30: Minimum wage or not,how much do a nigerian living in usa earn per month?most of them earn below 5000 dollars per month unless if you are into drug business,am saying this from a fact and proof and not assumption, now with the average of them earning 3000 dollars per month yes it is huge right after he or she pays house rent, taxes and expenses on food and some other things he finally has about 1000 dollars to save, which is about 160000 naira, here with the help of forex trading and sport betting I earn just 300k per month though not as much as an average nigerian may be earning over-there,so at the end of the day I save at least 180k in a month and I spend the remaining 120k to live a very wonderful life and live in the kind of house I want, eat the kind of food I want to eat,do clubbing, enjoy myself, even feel very important, and have enough rest of mind to serve my GOD so am happy to be a nigerian and live in naija, and if u wan to go and live in america u are free, everyone cannot stay in nigeria, even if naija is the best country in the world people that will leave naija will leave, are u not surprised when you still some americans still going to other countries to live there?
We are talking about people working for salary here and not lottery players.

If you can save 160000 In us .
How many Nigerian graduates can save 50000 par month.
PoliticsRe: USA Minimum Wage Vs Nigeria Minimum Wage. by emmatok(m): 1:08pm On Sep 15, 2013
Guys we are talking about minimum wages here(lowest salary).

Considering purchasing power-US is better
Infrastructure-US is better
Accommodation -US is better.

In US you can afford
a good laptop for less Than $200
Good accommodation less than $500
Good used car less than $1000
Feed on less than $100 a day.
All these on minimum wage(lowest payment)

But in Nigeria a graduate earning 150k per month(more than minimum wage)
Will save for 5months to get a house
Save for 2 months to by a good laptop
Save for six months to buy a used car.

See why people rush to the US.

Joker.
How many hours light do you get a day.
PoliticsRe: Lagosians Commend PHCN For Improved Power Supply by emmatok(m): 8:29pm On Sep 14, 2013
Rossikk: There is a HUGE diference, thicko. Have you generated 1/4 of a kilowatt in your life? Yet you sniff at 485 mw that's enough to power countless thousands of homes and industries. That ''insignificant'' 485 mw is the equivalent of roughly half a billion dollars in investment at the going rate of $1 million per mw.
I see you are in combative mode.
Yes I have generated more than that cos my coy runs on two 1000kva caterpillar generators. grin happy.
Some countries are generating 10,000-40,000mw.
The giant of Africa cannot generate ordinary 5000 mw and you're jumping allover the place.
Why is everything rocket science in Nigeria.
PoliticsRe: Lagosians Commend PHCN For Improved Power Supply by emmatok(m): 5:12pm On Sep 14, 2013
Rossikk: Oh shut up... Current generation is 3845 mw, plus there is a fundamental restructuring and privatisation process going on to greatly raise output. That is where your dull brain should be focused on rather than coming here to contribute nothing like an illiterate.
And what is the significant difference 3400 and 3845.
You just like disgracing yourself with your support for failure.
PoliticsRe: Lagosians Commend PHCN For Improved Power Supply by emmatok(m): 2:46pm On Sep 14, 2013
confusion247: But those commending PHCN here never said that they have electricity 24/7, it seems that your confused mind is playing tricks on you?
Kindly pity yourself for seeing nothing good in this administration.
Most you quote me confused sycophant.
You are coming here claiming to having electricity, while living in Darkness.
Your delusions knows no bonds.
PoliticsRe: Lagosians Commend PHCN For Improved Power Supply by emmatok(m): 11:24pm On Sep 13, 2013
Fake news coming from NANS.
Pity Nigerians even when they are in Darkness, they will claim to having 24/7 electricity.

PoliticsRe: Why Is The SW Waging War On GEJ On 2 Fronts? by emmatok(m): 11:19pm On Sep 13, 2013
FreeGlobe: You can't deceive us Mr man. Yorubas only only hated obasanjo because he was not their choice initially. falae was their choice. How many times did yorubas criticize obj's performance the way they are doing GEJ even though Jonathan has performed better. last I checked yoruba sons including FFK and Okupe were Obj's praise singers. As worse as Tinubu's tenure was why don't yorubas criticize him? bigoted tribe
Thought you claimed OBJ was not criticised by the SW, now you are claiming something else.
For information Tinubu is not totally accepted in the SW all he has is political might.

Nobody is going to do anything.
But you must realize that the ND struggle was done by various groups in Nigeria .
But these militants are showing Nigerians they don't need them anymore.
PoliticsRe: Ex-N'Delta Militants Declare Atiku Persona-Non-Grata by emmatok(m): 11:32pm On Sep 08, 2013
The way SS people are behaving, a disaster is going to happen and they will be at the receiving end.
Their people are still poor yet some militants threatening to kill everybody cos of oil.
All this gra gra about oil is foolish, other regions are watching.

I dont really care about politics, i live my own life but going back to your posts of 2011 till date, you never saw anything good about Jonathan.

Even now that your railways are working again.
Even now that more international airports are being remodelled and recommissioned.

What did your OBJ achieve?

Get a life sycohant. Your relevance ends here on nairaland politics section.
V.I may no longer have surface water sorrounding but I believe the name should be retained for historical value and not changed.
I agree with you here.

So geographically V.I is no longer an Island.
PoliticsRe: Is Victoria Island Lagos An Island by emmatok(op): 11:02pm On Sep 01, 2013
naptu2: That area was a swamp. The only reason we had Maroko was because the Colonial Government filled in part of the swamp in an attempt to reduce the mosquitoes that carry the malaria parasite. Before the Colonial Government sandfilled that area you had to take a boat to get to Lekki from Victoria Island.

There were still bodies of water there even after Maroko was created. What's left of that is the canal that runs beside Mobil Headquarters.
This is the current MAP of V.I and Lagos Island

You will notice V.I no longer have a definite water boundary unlike Lagos Island.

PoliticsRe: Is Victoria Island Lagos An Island by emmatok(op): 10:02pm On Sep 01, 2013
Yes I know the canal behind Mobil headquarters.
PoliticsRe: Is Victoria Island Lagos An Island by emmatok(op): 9:43pm On Sep 01, 2013
Ok I know canal from Bonny camp to Obalende.

But were is the water at the other boundary(Maroko) of V.I.
Marako was a slum and not a water path.
PoliticsRe: Is Victoria Island Lagos An Island by emmatok(op): 9:32pm On Sep 01, 2013
Oh, so were is the location of the MacGregor bridge.
PoliticsRe: Is Victoria Island Lagos An Island by emmatok(op): 9:20pm On Sep 01, 2013
naptu2: The place that's now called Sandfill was once a swamp (or rather, several swamps). The Colonial Government started the process of filling the swamps with sand (Sandfill).

There was thus a narrow and low lying area that connected Victoria Island to Lekki. This area became Maroko. (Now I feel old. There were places like Ilado, etc, but they don't exist anymore sad )

You could buy fish and other goods at very cheap prices in Maroko. However, the place was swampy and low lying and people were often washed away with the tide.

Then Rasaki sent in the bulldozers in July 1990 and Maroko was no more.

Another round of sandfilling started.
Yes I remember that place, down to Oniru beach.

But these days I find It difficult to call V.I an Island, unlike the LAGOS ISLAND.

V.I not surrounded by water.

Bawss1: Explain what you mean.
The host club,managers,taxes,e.t.c collects part of the money.

You will notice that clubs makes money
From transfers that is why they negotiate with buying clubs. e.g ARSENAL .
PoliticsRe: Is Victoria Island Lagos An Island by emmatok(op): 9:06pm On Sep 01, 2013
naptu2: It was. You said Sandfill

(Ikoyi Island and Lagos Island were once two separate islands).
IKOYI is part of Lagos Island.

The sandfill I am talking about is MAROKO.The boundary of V.I.

But V.I was not sandfilled.

Why is it an ISLAND.
PoliticsIs Victoria Island Lagos An Island by emmatok(op): 8:52pm On Sep 01, 2013
VICTORIA ISLAND LAGOS, starts for Amadu Bello Way and Ends at MAROKO(SANDFILL).

But is the V.I Lagos geographically an ISLAND?
And this has indirectly proven that the increased numbers of non-Yorubas in later years was because of Lagos being the capital city in Nigeria.

Not due to "hospitality" and all that Jazz.

I have also read that the number of Yorubas in the SE equaled that of Igbos in the SW in the earlier years.
Hahahahahah cheesy

So Yorubas are in millions in the SE.

ileobatojo: So if you are the pastor of a popular church and someone made up a very specific, very detailed lie about a week long sex romp you had together, put all of it in the public eye, and again it is a complete lie and all a figment of her imagination, you're telling me, it would make sense to you not to say even one word of denial?
The pastor does not need to say anything to the public.
Only the church leadership can discipline him.

But pastors are overrated.
Pastors are not public officers and they are not accountable to anybody.

GEJ does not even need rigging to win elections in rivers state
Why didn't thesame SS/SE in Lagos stop Tinubu.
PoliticsRe: Atiku And 7 Governors Walk-out Of PDP Convention by emmatok(m): 7:26pm On Aug 31, 2013
chukwudi44: Bros amaechi can do nothing. He does not even have 1% control over INEC,police and the army who you need to fix things if it comes to rigging.

I am not saying GEJ will win by rigging anyway but if it comes to that amaechi cannot stop him
You know nothing about Politics.

OBJ tried to rig Tinubu out of Lagos before his second term and what happened. Tinubu won Lagos and that was the birth of ACN.

The last Presidential election, GEJ came to visit TINUBU before that election and the rest is story.
