Programming / How Far With The Telecom Industry by emoboy4u: 1:50pm On Mar 25, 2023
Telecom companies use to be the 'Dream' for Electrical/Computer engineering graduates. I don't know the status of things now.

Everyone is running towards software development especially , even those that have started their careers as Transmission/Microwave/Fiber/Network/IP engineers are looking towards software development.

Is the telecom space not as lucrative? I heard the only ones making it big in this space are those with 10+ years experience, the Senior Managers and the GM.

What happened to all the craze to have CCNA, CCNP, CCIE? Everywhere is just silent in this space.

What do you think guys?

I cannot confirm whether the test was properly vetted, or if another test will be administered. However, I can confirm that the documents were not verified before the test invitations were sent out. Once applicants ticked the required boxes, they received an email invitation for the test.

I believe that the test questions were leaked because I know individuals who applied with multiple accounts without submitting any documents, yet all of their accounts received the test invitation. They likely used these dummy accounts to gather and memorize the questions and answers before taking the test with their real account grin tongue embarassed

The reason you hear some individuals finishing sections of the test in unusually fast times, such as 8 minutes for Mechanical Comprehension and 12-13 minutes for General Ability, it seems highly unlikely that these scores were achieved without prior knowledge of the test content.

In any case, I hope that NLNG will take appropriate action to address any potential issues with the testing process.
Baba, I still disagree with the multiple accounts thing, the chance of anyone predicting that they'll receive invites with multiple accounts is almost zero. It's hard
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: I Have Gotten A Job And Am Relocating To Lagos, by emoboy4u: 10:49am On Feb 28, 2023
So it depends, you can get apartments in locations in highly congested Lagos Island, Obalende, CMS, Adeniji, Tinubu campos areas that will just be a #500 to and fro from Ikoyi or you consider places on mainland with proximity to Ikoyi like Ebutte Metta and Yaba.

The choice is yours. Just budget about 400-500k for your self con ( 800k for total package) sha.

If you're life was so enjoyable and perfect, why then do you speak of implementing those measures to change it. Your entire post is a bit contradictory.

I find that most introverts are not being entirely honest with their introversion and desire to socialize. For the most part, a lot know that there's a void of social interaction that they yearn to be filled. But they talk as if they're living in paradise, yet talk within the same epistle, talk of implementing measures to switch up their supposedly perfect life. It's contradictory.
It's also an introvert delimma. I say this cuz I'm one
Thank you for this. As an introvert myself, I know how many opportunities I have missed just because of lack of social skills. It's a weakness that needs to be worked on and not enjoyed

Car Talk / Re: I Went To Driving School Today And I'm Really Giving Up. by emoboy4u: 8:45pm On Feb 08, 2023
Lol, My dad be telling me same thing "learn manual son, auto was originally made for disabled people".

I sha enrolled in driving school auto and manual full course. I drove a real car ( manual ) for the first time in my life, it was stressful. You had to mentally monitor the engine sound in order to change gear, no clutch pedal - no party, if you take your leg off the clutch too soon, car will stall, if you step on the brakes without stepping on clutch, car will stall.

The werey instructor did not tell inform me that he can brake the car from his end. He'll just tell me "clutch down", and when I do, car will slowly stop.

The traffic light goes ⛔. I was at the front row. Immediately the light went 🟢, I hurriedly took my legs of the clutch pedal so that I can accelerate. Kpaka kpaka! Car stalled, I understood what 'being under pressure' means when about 20 cars behind me went smashing their horns.

Five days went by, I still cannot make a proper turn. It's either I turn too fast or too slow or steer too hard. I thought I was braindead, I can never know how to drive. I told the guy I wanted to drive auto..

Seatbelts, check! mirrors, check!, Ignite the car and off I drove. AUTO WAS TOOO EASY. There and then I vowed not to consciously touch a manual car again. My confidence shot up. I started feeling like some low-budget Vin Diesel.

I graduated, collected my permit. A week after I finished my training, I traveled to greet my Aunt in another state. Myself and Aunt (never knew I enrolled in driving school) went to get stuff in the Market. When we were done buying, she went:

Aunt: "I'm tired, wish you knew how to drive now, shey I'll just be resting"

Me: *hold my beer* , Opened Google Maps.

...and the rest they say is history.

This happened to me as a guy last year. It's called Alopecia. I was on face cap everytime just to hide it.

What I did was to get the IGBO leaf from some smokers in my area, dried it, grinded it, mixed it with Damartol haircream. 3 months later my hair was back and no more face cap.

It beats my imagination how you guys still keep dragging NLNG this, NLNG that. I mean, everyone is entitled to their opinions and feelings. One person says it's based on connection, the other says otherwise , the truth lies somewhere within.

I don't know why I have to be bothered on how they do their recruitment. NLNG owes nobody (except for shareholders) explanations.

Being competitive means they'd still end up with number of very qualified candidates that exceed the number they need and that's probably where other factors might come in.

It's not a do or die thing. NLNG no owe me and you any offer (God abeg, dem owe me🥺) . If you get in , you get in and if otherwise, you move. The world doesn't revolve around them.

Please let's put a stop this argument and channel the energy to more productive things.
