Who really cares how the seeding is done?
Granted a lot of questions should be asked but heck, let the big guys meet themselves
Thats how you know who is bigger. . . . . .i just keep wondering when these selfish sentiments will leave football!!!
France in particular deserves more punishment.
Argentina didn't have the best of qualifying. They scrapped thru by hair's breath yet they were seeded
Some give me another story abeg!!!

I wonder why Wengey keeps throwing away the only trophy he has the capability to win.
He will come back and tell us its not his main target yet the ones he targets keeps eluding him
He had better stop clutching at straws. . . . . .the trophy cabinet is likely to remain dusty this season again!!

My brother Ogun State highway check points are second to none in Nigeria
It took me a whole day (8a.m - 6.pm) to get to Ondo State border from Ijebu Ode with my first vehicle five years ago.

You need a lot of Nigerian ingenuity and foresight to ply that road with any vehicle(yours or someone else)
Ol boy this ur case worse pass my own oo!!!!
Maybe you didn't speak in their language? money?!!!
My first experience wasn't bad at all. . . . infact i never knew i could drive from Lagos to Enugu without a single cop stopping me!! shocked shocked
Maybe cos it was in the middle of high traffic , 26th December 2008; na im come begin think say na so e dey be. . . . the issue is that
if we know what they are to ask for and stick to it, then we wouldn't be going thru all these nonsense!!
Autos › Car Dealers: Ogun State Police Check Point. My Little Experience? by Emperoh(op): 2:30pm On Dec 02, 2009
The Holidays were fast approaching and I was unusually idle. I needed to do something or at least get out of Lagos. I didn’t have much fund on me but somehow, just somehow, I needed to travel. It wasn’t planned.

Then my room mate in school called me. The container has arrived and we’ve done the clearing and registration.
'Can you get me someone most likely a force man to drive my brother’s car to PH?'

It was an opportunity for me. I promised to get him someone but on a second thought, I said to myself, why not do it.
You could get some quids from it and the same time, fulfilled you wish. So I called him and told him I would do it.
Wednesday evening at the close of work, I went to inspect the car to be sure everything was ok.
Pumped tires, bought fuel and all that.

4.55am Thursday morning, I was racing down Lagos - Ibadan Expressway.
I thought and knew I left on good time. By my calculations I should be thru Ogun state before the Guys in Black start their wahala.
Moreso, my documents were all in order so there is really no reason to panic.
At least, timed by my leaving early, I will catch up on the time lost on checking papers and all what not.
Them go stop me. Kpata kpata, na papers and then ‘wetin you carry’. But was I wrong? You will find out.

I got to Sagamu by 5.50am and brushed past the first two check points given the cover the darkness still gave me. But I wasn’t too lucky on the third one. I was stopped. Papers checked and everything in ‘order’. I was waved ‘moved on’. Another 300 metres was another check point.

I exclaimed; Gosh, na so we do waka today? The owner of the car was sitting beside me. Then a friend at the back. The trunk was filled with drinks, wines and a 37 inch LCD and TV Console which were well hidden. You do thought it was TV carton loaded with some other stuffs. So after checking my trunk, he took my papers and read my ‘offence’ to me.

‘You didn’t sign on the papers where you are meant to, then you have to show me the person who issued you a Tinted Glass Permit within 48 hours of getting your papers. That means you didn’t go through the normal process and what you have is fake’.
‘Corporal turn this car and take it to the Station.’

It was already a case before I knew it. After much argument and the car being turned into their pseudo ‘station’, I parted with N1,500.00.
I moved on with my trip and for the next 4 check points, still in Ogun State and within the Ogbere division, I had already parted with almost N5,000.00 for same two offences.

How am I to shelve myself from this? We got a black biro and signed the unsigned documents.
But there were two of them, ‘Information For Vehicle Imported into Nigeria for Private Use’ and CMR form which mysteriously,
we forgot the originals in Lagos.
With a black biro, the chap signed on the photocopy. It remains on how to solve the Tint Permit issue.
Was it really an offence to get it in 48 hours? I am still to get an answer on that till today. Maybe my fellow dealers or probably an in house cop who knows how the things work will tell us not just me.

Got them photocopied and continued on our journey.
But surely we got to the main cracking point that inflicted pains on our pocket but somehow helped us out though in hindsight.
We got to the 7th Check-Point still in Ogun State and as usual, got our ‘Park Well’ reception.
The sharp eyed Sergeant Julius handsome and fair spotted the tint Permit issue and somehow recognised that we used a black biro on a Photo-Copied Document. Hey! Wahala dey!!!

Read our ‘offence’ and then asked a Corporal to take charge of it. Another round of arguments, logical statements, strong head and begging ensued. We spent another 45minutes here.
Somehow, the young ‘officer’ who took my papers, thinking he was going to intimidate me, got a raw deal of my frustration.
He initially tried to frighten me with ‘the inspector shouldn’t know about this’ line but I wasn‘t bugged.
On closer surveillance, I realised they were trying to limit as much case as possible getting to the elderly man.
How did I know? Seeing that I wasn’t moved by his rants, he switched off my engine and took the keys.

After he had snatched my key from the ignition, I went to a side and stooped, ignoring him and his rants.
He kept asking after those who were with me. He was really scared of the Inspector getting to know.
I blunted him out and told him it wasn’t his business to know where they were.
He looked around but couldn’t recognise them from the myriad of ‘Offenders’ around the Inspector.
He went over to the Julius guy that stopped us and complained that I was being stubborn.
The next thing he did was to go and turn the car to the direction facing Lagos.

The two guys with me, the owner of the car and my friend then went to meet Julius for further ‘negotiations’ on our ‘release’. Somehow, seeing that we weren’t in a hurry(formed we weren’t), he chilled out and started lecturing us on what to do as many more check points more difficult than they are would stop us. We agreed to give him N5000.00 and then another N6000 for another Sergeant to ferry us to the border with Ondo State.

According to them, the issued we had would take more money from us. After much argument, we agreed. The idea being that, the guys in Ondo down to Benin and further weren’t as voracious and terrible as the Ogun guys. I had problem believing the guy but the car owner somehow convinced me.

Where they right? Very very well!!

Before getting to Ondo boundary, I counted 11 other Check Points. As we navigated down to Ondo, The Cops would stop us but on recognising the man behind the wheels, would instantly let us go. Went thru a customs check points who tried disturbing but realising the Clearing Papers where in order, begged for money for ‘tea’.
The last check point in Ogun State was called ‘Aso Rock’. This where you part with the biggest money. I knew this cos I had fallen victim to a different batch of Highway patrol Cops at the same point sometime in April. Infact they stopped us, and even proved too hard to the Sergeant with us. After much shouting matched between them and cajoling, the man took N200 from us grudgingly and with so much pain. One look at his face told me we woulda been in for one hell of a problem if we didn’t have this guy driving us. But thank God we went thru. The dude just packed at the border wished us a safe trip, crossed over to the road back to Ogbere.

Just like he said, the guys at Ondo and further down where easier to deal with. In some cases I muscled myself thru without their traditional N200.00. I realised too that as one came further down, the lesser you part with but with some of then being tad stubborn. I was even accused of kidnapping my friend who was sleeping at the back of the car somewhere at Benin By-pass.

Why did I write this;
I guess my fellow dealers and Courier cars down should learn. I also think the Nigerian Police force should educate people on their rights on what Officers on the highway should check on vehicle. This will help in checkmating what these people ask for. From the sane to the out rightly ridiculous.

From my experience and my interaction with the Cop that ferried us thru, there are just two options to go undisturbed the guys in Ogun State.
U either get an Officer who MUST be alone or you settle though not as much when driven by a civilian, if you decide to accompany him.
Or have loads of money on you because, THEY MUST FIND FAULT with you documents!!

Also, have these in mind.
If you wanna drive, do it on a Monday. According to him, there are less officers on the highway on Mondays
No one is proof from their harassment except Officers and those driving brand new cars but must not be with anyone.
Space the dating of your tint permit by a Month if you can or at least two weeks. Because according to him, it takes around two weeks for it to be processed.
Be sure to have all the spaces in your papers well signed by the appropriate persons, ie, you or the issuing authorities

Please and please, do well to get the engine number on your car. They have a knack for finding even hidden ones!!
I no know as them they take do am!!

All in all, just be smart, shine your eye and be ready to waste time. If you seem too much in a hurry, them go finish your pocket.

I no understand why person no go fit enjoy him motor for Naija!!!

God dey sha!! Comments are all welcome. Good or bad!!

As for Besiktas,Fergie prolly knows now that his youngsters ain't ready yet.

Time will take care of the Chavs. . . . . i won't start panicking till Macrh
Then and by then, i will know what to say or not. But really what do we have to lose not winning the this time around?
Rien. . . . We have nothing to prove to no one. . . . make this league no dey like Ligue 1.
We don't really have much headache in the middle as we have in attack and prolly defence.

Until some politician gives me a detailed way on how to improve the IGR of Anambra State, then all these will be lofty dreams!!
Or is he going to take more Bank loans and impoverish the state like Mbadinuju did?
Lets not deceive ourselves. . u build an IPP that the FG will eventually take from you?

Politicians should stop deceiving us. . . .as it actually stands, i am not soo much interested in what he is gonna do,
I am more disposed to haveing a free and fair election in Anambra State!!

Anyone who has any answers to the questions above should come up with it!! Soludo is just in a dream land!!

Emp,
andy Cole scored 5 vs Ipswich in 94/95 but wasn't considered to be good enough for England.
Sauron might just be right considering Wigan isn't the strongest of opposition.
The reason Owen can be considered to be favourite might just be because he's in Europe.
I'm not saying defoe won't go to the world Cup.He just did himself a huge favour by scoring 5 against premiership opposition.
But Sauron does have a point.
Capello should answer that in a few months time!!!
If Defoe remains in such an imperious form till then, i don't see why he won't!!!
Its a wait and see game!!
