My question is, why are you being dishonest?. It is not news to muslims and non-muslims that Hadith is secondary source of information in Islam. And you are well aware Hadith contains valid information and fake ones. true2god:Again, chain of narrations is Hadith did not link to the holy prophet Muhammad (saw). This alone makes the Hadith questionable. All versions of the hadith are based on the following chain of narrators: ‘Abdullah ibn Abi Bakr ibn Hazm, from ‘Amrah bint ‘Abd ar-Rahmaan, from ‘Aa’ishah (may Allah be pleased with her). The isnaad ends with her and does not go back to the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah upon him). The hadith was taken from ‘Abdullah ibn Abi Bakr by a number of narrators and their narrations are as follows: 1. It was narrated by Yahya ibn Sa‘eed al-Ansaari. His version says: It was revealed in the Qur’an that ten definite breastfeedings are required (to establish the relationship of mahram), then it was also revealed that five definite breastfeedings are required. This was narrated by Imam Muslim in his Saheeh (no. 1452) and others. We may note that this version does not say anything about the story of the goat or tame sheep eating any of the pages of the Holy Qur’an. 2. It was narrated by Imam Maalik (may Allah have mercy on him). His version says: Among that which was revealed of the Qur’an was the ruling that those ten definite breastfeedings are required to establish the relationship of mahram, then that was abrogated and replaced with five definite breastfeedings. When the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) died, this was among the things that were recited in the Qur’an. This was narrated by Maalik in al-Muwatta’ (Kitaab ar-Ridaa‘, hadith no. 17), and via him by Imam Muslim (1452) and others. We may note here that the report of Imam Maalik from ‘Abdullah ibn Abi Bakr also does not include any mention of the story of the goat or tame sheep eating anything of the Mus-haf. Rather one sentence is added to it at the end: When the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) died, this was among the things that were recited in the Qur’an. 3. The third version of the story, without wasting my time posting it says, it is odd and in conflict with the first two above. So scholars considered weak or fabricated. Here is nothing like a goat or sheep came in and are part of Quran. Load of crap if you can condemn your own hadith as being 'fabricated and controversial stuff', what legitimacy does Islam has as a true religion? Over 80% of Islamic teachings, laws and practices are in the hadith and not the quran. Thid should give you a course for concern. All major practices in Islam and rulings are mentioned in the Qur'an and elaborated by Hadith. Which means the first source of Islam Quran sits in judgement over Hadith. Hadith is subordinate and no matter how controversial is can be it is far more better times 100 over Bible. I know this is what's really paining you. Kpele ![]() |
true2god:Story story... But if this data was attributed to muslim authority you would be different. |
true2god:good news is you didn't dispute this fact. If it doesn't make sense then tell us which of the many CHRISTIANITIES is correct according to Jesus? |
true2god:you like quoting fabricated and controversial stuff. Quran is the only authority. If Quran is saying A and Hadith is saying B, which do we believe?. Our methodology is we use Quran if hadith conflicts with it. Hadith can never sit in judgement over Quran laelae. So this are just stories written by people who had selfish interest. They would fabricate Hadith and claimed a companion or wife of prophet said it to make it sound reputable. What a load of crap! This is how you know it is fabricated. Look at the first which claimed goat ate copy of Quran . Which paper? Paper did not even exist. Quran was written on different fragments or particles which included bones. Paper was not one of them. Goat don't eat bones. Besides this story did not trace back to the prophet himself. And according to Bible, no one can tell story better except oneself. So only prophet muhammad (saw) could validate this but he didn't say anything about it. Your Bible says in John 8:18 King James Version (KJV) I am one that bear witness of myself, and the Father that sent me beareth witness of me. Which means only Allaah and prophet could validate this fake story but they didn't. So it is fake story. Not only that but the rest. I know how evangelical Christians work. They love to quote trash. |

AbuuBilaal:very sad. These are not muslim. They openly declared their other beliefs. Whether they have muslims name or not is irrelevant. It had always been the case for donkey years. You would hear Buraimo(Ibrahim), Muraina(Imran) and so on. Despite dawah for decades in Yorubaland they are very stubborn. As sheikh Akindele rightly said, if Filipino visit Hajj they usually revert to Islam. But if Yoruba man goes to Hajj he returns home and retains his kufr beliefs. Well, they have the right to practice their religion but if it has to disturb or conflict other citizens it must be banned from holding public possession. The muslims just need to be firm and have very strong cooperation to deal with them just like the time of Alfa Apalara in 1955. Otherwise, these oloro people will kill muslims and get away with it as usual. Looks like they are making comeback and getting bold recently. In the 80s and early 90s Muslims kicked them in the butt. They were so afraid of Islam. |

OmoOshodi:guy, it is not about politics. Please grow up. Apc, pdp and all other 3 letter political parties are the same. When you criticized one party this is exactly what politicians want by pitching you against one another. They are all guilty whether APC or PDP. Stop playing politics. You guys are part of Nigeria problems. Why do you think that pdp would have done better if they won recent election?. Were they not in power for 16 yrs?. I am not in support of all these signings here and there that they have been doing for decades with no reasonable outcome. It is Nigerian govt that is subservient to White supremacy. Why would so called giant of Africa rely on foreign country to fix her electricity problems. Aren't there qualified people in the country?. Isn't enough money to get this electricity problems done decades ago?. If anyone thinks this foreign countries would help Nigeria get over her problems must be in Disney world. This is not about being negative. This is about reality. So these things you were taught from secondary School to masters level. Yet you are not allowed to put what you learned into practice. Instead they invested huge money on foreign nations to help their causes. These foreign countries scam Nigeria through these sham deals. |

LadunaI:There are still more knowledgeable Alfas in ilorin and other places(young and old) who sincerely know this. I believe it is more ancient mathematical calculation. Many Alfa don't want to discuss this subject openly anymore due to currently trend. They just preach openly what people want to hear and what is in harmony with their level of understanding. In order to get clarity I contacted a young Alfa I talked about earlier in this thread regarding iyepe tite and khalwa. After he finished with his explanation I said to him this is what I understood growing up as a child. I asked him why then modern Muslims simply takfir this branch of Islamic knowledge?. He said "Ife Inu coupled with aimokan" is their problem. But sometimes their objection is understandable bcuz of charlatans. So basically, ghulu on both sides are condemned. Really, modern mathematics are logical deductions from ancient mathematical calculation. So when Nabi Muhammad (saw) said salat of the one who visited soothsayer is suspended for 40days he's referring to the first two. |
LadunaI:JazakaAllahu Khayran. You are very correct. Read this thread if you can. Let me remind you that ikupakuti explained some details regarding fortune telling and I quoted him recently bcuz i found them interesting. He said whether it is istikhara recommended in islam or aworawo or the use of Jinn and all sorts of ayewo are fortune telling. He then analysed halal from haram. Ikupakuti was very correct. That said, those who go against iyepe tite are either deliberately decided to confuse and misguide people or they are ignorant of the subject. Iyepe tite is not haram PROVIDED it is in line with what nabi said in Sahih Muslim. In sahih muslim nabi(SAW) was asked 2 or 3 types of fortune telling including the use of sand (iyepe tite). Answers given by nabi (SAW) for first and second forms indicate they are haram which include using Jinn. But when questioner asked about the use of sand (iyepe tite) his answer was different. So the hadith you are looking for is attached below. Also if you can, watch sheikh Al-Misr brief lecture and Q&A and someone asked him about iyepe tite. He refuted many misconstrued practices condemned by 'puritans'. Please watch if you can. You may watch iyepe tite from 1:15:00 So the expanation for iyepe tite as i knew as a child is not about looking into future or that jinn resides inside the sand and telling you future. It is absolute nonsense. Iyepe tite is old fashioned 'calculator' where they already studied numbers and possible result just like today scientists predict many thing based on calculations. That is all about iyepe tite. Nothing more. The problem is some people go a little further and turned it to something else seeking 'future'. This is what Sheikh Yahya Solati condemns in the video above when he said "ati enito teyepe ati enito lo yewo ina ni sose". But appearance and reality are opposite of each other which means if you see Mr. A drawing something on sand and Mr. B also does the same, this is appearance and it is the same. But reality is Mr. A is into hisab while Mr. B involves with unseen. So it is irrational for any muslim to quickly condemn a muslim just bcuz you see him drawing on sand. Drawing we are talking about is written in arabic usually not "eji ogbe". They also draw Muhammad and Allah in arabic and then draw name(s) of waliy etc. This is basically tawasul. It has nothing to do with fortune telling. I grew up knowing these things. My sheikh also used tira written by medieval scholars. This tira is equivalent to modern aircraft trackers. I remembered clearly in 1995 when his first son travelled out of the country to Brussels. That time, you know technology was not as it is now and there was no cell phones. So my sheikh and his friend dug out this tira after waiting for days and heard nothing about his whereabout. It was very late night and i was nosy enough to hear their convos. So they were reading this tira and added whatever hisab they found therein. First their result showed his son was in problems but it was not clear. At this point my sheikh was scared and he couldn't even sit down. His friend consoled him and read further. Here comes sad news while reading. The tira says '....bla bla bla bla bla al maut". Of course his name was added with which they arrived at every result. When my sheikh seen the word 'maut' (death), he bursted into tears and gave up. His friend consoled him again that he is not done. They were reading this tira and at the same time had their pen and paper to document and calculate. Mhen, i cried too even though they knew not i was around snitching on them. They finally read everything and properly did the hisab and came to conclusion that there was indeed difficulties but nothing major. Just after they finished and hoped for the best, his son called (landline) that there was no problem except that he was briefly detained bcus of strange object found in his luggage. Strange object immigration officials found was eja kika ati yiyan (baba ijebu thing). They wanted to investigate it. That was all. So where is fortune telling in this?. Our modern alfas need to be careful of putting on boxing gloves with fellow muslims on subject they do not understand. You can see from the hadith it doesn't haram iyepe tite provided it is in harmony with similar narration above.
