strangest: Well your opinion does not count here... Wearing Jihab to school is a security risk and it is not acceptable in that school... This is very simple... There are many other schools out there that you can send your kids, why is it hard to understand d? what's "Jihab"? Again this is public school. And I agree with you their parents should withdraw their kids and govt should place hefty fines on the school for violating the law of the land |

strangest: It has its root in the mission of Jesus Christ... It is a missionary school
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_School_Ibadan well, this doesn't answer anything. I know history of the school since it came to limelight bcuz of this incident. It was established by Germans. The school is a public school in Nigeria. So it is bound by Nigeria constitution. If it is private school is a whole different topic. Say something else. I am of the opinion that CHRISTIANITY in Nigeria is getting out of hand and very intolerant. It is high time this barbaric religion needs to be put in it's place. |

Islam › Re: Ibadan School Asks Muslim Students To Remove Hijab (Photos) by Empiree: 5:20pm On Jul 05, 2019 |
strangest: What the heck is this?
Are You A Muslim? "I believe that there no god/God but Allah." "I believe that Muhammad is God's Holy Prophet." "I believe that Islam is the Only True Religion." "lā ʾilāha ʾillā-llāh, muhammadun rasūlu-llāh."
This is the problem, you don't want Christians to comment on this story because they won't accept the above... Yet you want to attend a Christian school with Hijab...
You keep talking about bringing cows down to the south... Hope you can also provide grazing land for pigs in the North...
So as a Christian, I cannot comment on a story that obviously is about a Christian school refusing the wearing of hijab... Can I be allowed to attend a Muslim school with a bible? There are many other schools out there though. Don't they have tafeez schools there?
For those quoting me and saying ISI is a public school... The school was founded by Kurt Hahn, who has his origin from Germany and the Church of Scotland...
The school is an anglican school
Please take a look at their former heads
The first Principal was David S. Snell (1963–1965) of blessed memory;[4] followed by John Gillespie[5](1965–1968). The longest serving Principal was an Anglican clergy, Archdeacon J.A.Iluyomade (1969–1985) of blessed memory.[6][7] He was also the first indigenous head of the school. After him was Rev. (Dr.) Dapo Ajayi (1986–1988) also of blessed memory,[8] then Dapo Fajembola (1990–1991) also of blessed memory. Thereafter came the first female Principal, Esther Adetola Smith (1991–2004). After her was R.O. Akintilebo (2006–2007), Dr. M.B Malik (2007–2017) and Phebean O. Olowe (2017-present)
Why will a muslim want to take his wads to a school ran by Anglican church leaders?
@Poster and Moderator that brought this up on Ju ma.. Why cant we allow sleeping dogs lie? this is public school right?. If so, it is bound by Nigerian constitution to allow Muslim girls to wear hijab regardless of whether Christians head the school or not. |

Lukgaf: Watch below a video showing International School, Ibadan staff and security guards waylaying Muslim students, while forcing them to remove the Hijab the girls wore on their school uniforms.
Some countries with even strictly less percentage of Muslims are allowed to practice their faith not to talk of a Nigeria with Muslim most populous.
Unfortunately, these oppression and victimization on Muslims are coming from our fellow country men and these guys will soon allege Muslim of Islamization.
Most annoying thing is bias position of people who have traveled to countries with less percent of Muslim

true2god: So I have to get a certain scholarship to understand the quran, the supposedly clear words of Allah for all mankind and jinn? Are you ok? How can you compare an organised educational system with reading a common book (the quran); one book? Man, you are more intelligent than this; do not lower the bar out of your religious conviction.
It is like telling me that I need a literature teacher to explain what I read in Wole Soyinka's book. In that case, the student must be a very dull student. If however you tell me the quran need an hadith (a sort of gossip because it is not always true) then the quran still has an integrity problem, even if you chose to close your mind to this reality, because you guys have even classified your hadith into the authentic (reliable), weak (not trustworthy) and fabricated (complete lies) hadith. Which other religion has this type of integrity and validation problem except Islam? Again, what's all these jargons?. My message was clear. There are such if nonmuslims in the West and around the world who read only Quran and embraced Islam. |

true2god: Can you see your logic? A holy book that your god prescribed for mankind but can only be available for 3% of human population while you need am imam and a tafsir to understand it, including some hadith collections (best known as rumours). How can a universal book be so confusing, incoherent and and poorly written such that it will give someone headache and malaria to read a book from an almighty. Such a god is never competent and I can tell you that Wole Soyinka's books are much more clearer and explanatory than your glooooorioooozz al-quran. Go and sit down bro, the 7th century illiterate arabs have scammed you big time. Wake up and see the lies in Islam and its text.
If you can remember, we discussed quran 66:1, while the tafsir of ibn kathir explained it with an hadith narration (by sahih bukhari), the tafsir according ibn jalalayn explained the scenario with a completely different and unrelated hadith narration (by Nissai). If you want to apply a simple logic, you will understand that both different hadith narrations cannot be true at the same time; it is either both are wrong or one is true. If your religious text can be so openly dishonest, what integrity does Islam and the quran possess? what's all these jargons?. Qur'an being for entire making and jinn doesn't mean everyone understands it. That's why you have teacher, imam, educator etc to teach you what you know not. When you attended primary School, secondary School, college and universities, you bought textbooks right?. Yet your teachers and lectures most still reach your many subjects in the same textbooks you bought even if you read them yourself. Abeg, find something else |

What proof, aside the quran, that the quran is for the entirety of the world of Mankind and Jinn? So the Jinn also recite the quran? What percentage of human population read the quran? Less than 3% (for people proficient in arabic language since other translations like english is not trustworthy).

Very informative. JazakaAllahu khayran. Makes sense now movado19: The whirls of the whirling dervishes is not an Islamic practice, but more of a local practice or custom that was popularized by Mawlana Jalaluddin Rumi, hence particular to Turkey. It is more of a symbology, to depict what may sometimes be hard to put succinctly into words. It is a depiction of a portal between heaven and earth with their caps to represent their tombstones, their shirts to represent their graves and the skirts to represent their shrouds. The shedding of their shirts during the swirls represents the escape from their graves and the raised upper hand represents what they receive from Allah, the lowered left hand represents what they transfer to man of what they receive, thereby making them not to be in possession of anything worldly during their sojourn on earth. All they are concerned about is their gaze and connection to Allah, which is the symbolic rotation that depicts the rotation of the universe and Allah being the central and only connecting force. This also alludes to the tawaf made over the Kaabah.
Another local, non-Islamic practice is the use of qawwali music by the Muslims of the subcontinent (India/Pakistan). This emerged from the Chishti Order of Nizamuddin. It was used as a means or tool to communicate, relate and subsequently convert to Islam; the Hindus who saw and used music as a strong religious practice. |

What's your opinion on this whirling practiced by some Sufis?. For me, I think it is cultural than religion bcuz this practice is not known in West African countries. It appears to be Turkish culture that found its way to religion.
If it is culture then it should stay there rather than making it sounds like it is from Islam which is not.
Your take?

true2god: You should throw that question to allah and his messenger who asked you to validate quranic revelation from the previous scriptures given to the people of the book.
And if thou (Muhammad) art in doubt concerning that which We reveal unto thee, then question those who read the Scripture (that was) before thee. Verily the Truth from thy Lord hath come unto thee. So be not thou of the waverers. And be not thou of those who deny the revelations of Allah, for then wert thou of the losers. S. 10:94-95 Pickthall

true2god: For the record, I am 1000% against homosexuality. I am shocked to read your comment that what Mohammed did 1400 years is no longer valid. You have to discard the sunnah of your prophet if you cannot abide by his sunnah, since mohammed is your perfect man. See this video by your sheikh that validated prepubescent marriage in Islam. https://www.youtube.com../watch?v=c79AXU8bOSQ https://www.youtub...e.com/watch?v=sABVWUxfwIk Bro, I don't expect you to still argue on the issue of Aisha. As the other brother rightly said, upgrade yourself. This is 2019. You can't use Aisha's age to pull muslims down. I'm glad you said you are against homosexual 1000%. As the lady in the video rightly said, it was perfectly okay for 6 year old to marry AT THE TIME. But now it is not okay. The same way homosexuality was not okay or tolerateted until 1960s but now it is okay in 21century. And the people who are pushing for this trash are CHRISTIANs, atheists and Jews. You can't argue this fact. I'm not here to go back and forth with you on Aisha age. I have my reservation. What is sure was that there was no objection and no cause for alarm in the time of the prophet. No sahaba complained. No enemies of Islam complained or tried to mock the prophet (saw) for marrying her. No earthly marriage ceremony. It was commissioned by God Himself. So he (saw) had no choice. Aisha's marriage to the prophet is non issue in my book. You can try harder and find something else to criticize Islam for. As far as Qur'an is concerned Aisha was a woman at the time of her marriage. Qur'an doesn't call any wives of the prophet a child. They were addressed as women. |

I thought he was a god given how we are not to draw him, he alone was allowed more than 4 wives and he was supposed to be the perfect example for all men. looks to me you don't have confidence in what you saying. Therefore, debating you will be futile. Just to draw key points without dragging it * Prophet Muhammad (saw) was human being but not like you. * Drawing caricatures of any prophets and messangers is Haram * Marrying more than one wife was his exclusive right from His Lord * Indeed, he was perfect example. Ultramane: Science:
Till this very day no one knows where these walls are. We're in the age of GPS and satellite, we can survey the entire earth now but we cannot tell for certain the walls DQ built.
All the walls speculated by Muslims as the walls of Dhul Qarnayn, cannot hold back the so called tribes of Gog and Magog any more since air crafts and missiles capable of flying over walls have been developed by men. Gog and Magog are men.
So, either Gog and Magog have trespassed the walls now or the entire Gog and Magog story run the risk of becoming a myth. If Gog and Magog tribes have trespassed the wall, who were they?
NB: Muslims once thought the Mongols who destroyed the caliphate in 1258 were the tribes of Gog and Magog. Here are 7 other theories. https://lifeinsaudiarabia.net/blog/2015/04/27/where-yajujmajuj-gog-and-magog-are/You however, if i remembered correctly said about 5 yrs ago that Gog and Magog are rivers, lakes or ocean.
