Maliks Muwatta Book 52, Number 52.1.1

So from the above shows that dreams and visions are part of aqeedat of muslims. So see your life?. Are you sure you are truly following the sunnah?.

Abu Zarr reported that the Holy Prophet said: No man accuses another man of being a sinner, or of being a kafir, but it reflects back on him if the other is not as he called him.'' (Bukhari, Book of Ethics; Book 78, ch. 44)

I am also a muslim. Sheikh Adam and Sheikh Kamaldeen (rohimohullah) are muslims and died as mumin. . Therefore, you point finger at other muslims, the rest come right back at you. And since three of us are muslims, then, considering the above ahadith show that you are a ---- (fill in the gap)

Today however, many muslims are turning away from these prophetic medicines bcus of a new ideology in town tagging every shirk and bida. This is the reason muslims are lacking in medicine too. Imagine a muslim is sick in nigeria, all we do now is sicking orthodox medicine at non mslim hospitals. Whats the purpose of those prophetic?. Are they redundant?

So like I said earlier, where the line is drawn is what islam forbid. People used to perform ruqya (iwosan) pre-islam. When islam came they continue with the same thing but this time, they asked nabi if the practice was correct. Read what nabi(saw) said

It is permissible to read the Quran and blow on water and then drink it or perform Ghusl (ritual bathing) with it, as there is evidence for this in many Prophetic narrations, and it is confirmed that many Companions may Allaah be pleased with them did it.

For instance Imaam Muslim may Allaah have mercy upon him reported that 'Awf Ibn Maalik Al-Ashja'i may Allaah be pleased with him narrated, "We used to perform Ruqyah (Quranic healing) in the pre-Islamic era, and we asked the Prophet , 'What do you think about it?’ He , replied: ‘Show me how you perform Ruqyah,’ (and then) he , said: ‘There is no harm in performing Ruqyah [your way] as long as it does not include associating anything with Allaah.’" [Muslim]

Blowing in water after reciting the Quran is not an act by which one associates partners with Allaah. Dont alawo also blow in water?. Dont they recite incantation in water?. You see clearly the appearance is the same. Call it juju or voodoo, that is linguistic meaning. But the essence is different. See the blue highlight what nabi(saw) said which means for as long as whatever you are doing does not contain haram thing and no shirk involve, no problem. So calling alfas (not crazy ones that kill people) alawo is rather silly far as i am concern.

There are more like this in prophetic sunnah medicines like reciting kursiy 15x in water and taking the water to river bank and wash your head. Dont alawo do the same?. Why are we scared to do this today and why calling people who practice this names?. I dont understand

Dont even know why this is an issue. We have in islam practices of medicines (not orthodox) or as in modern medicine. For instance, there is a comprehensive book which consists of prophetic medicines many of which, if you muslims put them into practice locally, they will resemble so called alawo. This is linguistic and practical appearance which resemble alawo, juju, voodoo. But in essence, they are different.

For instance, there is a hadith which talks about "black seed is a cure for all diseases except death". Taking the hadith literally would mean chewing black seed as it is. But a muslim needs to put into practice how to use black seed for various ailments. E:G, black seed oil may be used for bald, cough, premature ejaculation, but did the nabi(saw) explain this?. no. So alawo also use black seed and the process may look the same with muslims. Where the line is drawn is alawo may decide to spice things up by adding human blood, beer or any haram things that islam forbids etc. But muslims would refrain from that.

If unfaithful muslim adds beers etc to it, he is not less a muslim but a bad one. We dont call them kufar bcus of that unless he take steps further like killin human, mixing human blood with it and believe it has divine power to cause somethign to happen. This may be a red line.

So this isnt different from orthodox medicines and their processes. Get over it

Sayidina Ali(ra) is reported to have recited this salams on the prophet(saw). Is this solat ibrahimmiya?. DId he commit bidah?. Or you want to bypass him too?

صَلَواتُ اللهِ تعالى ومَلائِكَتِهِ وأنبيائه ورَسُلِهِ وجَميعِ خَلْقِهِ على مُحَمِّدٍ وعلى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ، عليه وعليهمُ السَّلامُ ورَحْمَةُ اللهِ تَعالى وبَرَكاتُهُ.

Sayyidina `Ali said, “If you read this salawat three times daily and a hundred times on Jumu`ah, it will be as if you have read the salawat of all Creation, including ins, jinn, angels, and anything that makes salawat on Sayyidina Muhammad , and the Prophet will take you by the hand to Paradise."

Blessings of Allah Almighty, of His Angels, of His Prophets, of His Messengers, and all Creation be upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad; may the Peace and Mercy of Allah Almighty and His Blessings be upon upon him and upon them.

Imam Shafi'i (ra) formed his own salatul ala nabi. Is this Imam alhu bida?

Ibn Bunan al-Asbahani (رحمه الله) says: I once saw Nabi (صلى الله عليه وسلم) in a dream and asked, "O Nabi of Allaah (صلى الله عليه وسلم), have you given any special honour to Muhammad Ibn Idrees ash-Shafi'ee (رحمه الله)?"

Nabi (صلى الله عليه وسلم) replied, "Yes, I have asked Allaah (سبحانه و تعالى) to excuse him from reckoning on the Day of Qiyamah."

I asked, "What was the reason for this?"

Nabi (صلى الله عليه وسلم) replied, "He recited a unique durood upon me."

I asked, "What durood did he recite?"

Nabi (صلى الله عليه وسلم) asnwered, "He would say,

'O Allaah (سبحانه و تعالى), bestow Your mercy and blessings upon Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) whenever he is remembered, and bestow Your mercy and blessings upon Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) whenever he is not remembered.'"

First you need to do is define what Juju is and what Voodoo is. Not what people do.

For instance, crazy people who kill and use human blood to prepare medicine also call it juju or voodoo.

Ground leafs and roots mixed with raw black soap may be considered juju/voodoo as well. The former is haram. The later is halal. The later can be backed up with Quran and Sunnah

As it is in our current situation, both Juju and voodoo have negative connotations.

Very true. The former is what is termed "Jalabi" by Yoruba Alfas. Corrupt version of it we have today is "Alawo" masquerading themselves as 'Alfas'. Just it is hard for some people like tintingz to differentiate karamot(miracles of wally), mujizat (miracles of nubuwa) from magic. Their outward appearances are usually the same. But the sources are different.

The term "Jalabi" if translated to English should give us same meaning and same essence of medical practitioners.

So modern Muslims usually do not differentiate Jalabi practices from Alawo practices which is just unfortunately sad. Yet, they go to get medical help from modern orthodox medical practitioners. The only difference between Jalabi and modern orthodox medicals is that the former has religious connotation. That's my opinion.

And a major difference between Jalabi (onisegun) and Alawo is where Islam draws the line. So it is hypocritical to condemn onisegun but then see no big deal on taking orthodox medicine.

AbdelKabir, i dont blame albaqir at all. When i saw your post, it was like mockery of the dead. I barely paid attention to the dude's blunder until i read your subsequent posts. So you dont need to blame albaqir. I was just about to post hadith he posted until i read your clarifications.

As for your explanation that nabi didnt stand just bcus of a soul but bcus of presence of angels, well, fine. But the hadith clearly says "is he not human" meaning he(saw) showed respect for the deceased.
