@ karferguso brother, the least thing you should worry about is "sect" and "division" in the muslim ummah. It is the prophecy that is in effect. Please get your mind off it. Stay out of sectarianism. I have come to realise that many of these sects, despite their silly differences, they are doing the same thing in some form or manner except that some may be extreme. They just dont want to admit it bcus of ego. This whole sect thing was there long time but many muslims have no idea. It's only in recent yrs, like after sept 11 incident the whole silly things fell out of proporton. You would notice that you were taught basics growing up. Stick to that and continue studying and seeking knowledge. If some aggressive people come accusing you of non sunnah practices, simply ask ulama around you. Sometime, various factions fight or disgree over "choice of words" but they dont want to admit. It is not our fault. It's prophecy of our master, the son of Abdulallai is in effect. We are living in Last Age brother. Focus your deen on basics while you seek knowledge. Forget about noise makers bro. |

This is financial crime. Federal govt needs to get involved and probe the Bank and the middle man. This is pure fraud. Also, the guy himself needs to be probed of his source of income. This is the way to do it if you need serious change in the country. The bank needs to be seriously investigated and during the cause of investigation, its business activities should be hindered. |
sino:okay. Will wait to clarify that |
@sino, I think you stretched it. You seem to give "everything" and "everywhere" another meaning. I cited example earlier that King Fard's translation itself says "everywhere" but in parenthesis, "by His knowledge". You appear to stretch the meaning of "everything and everywhere". I dont think Albaqir disputes Allah is above His creation. So far, i do not see 'shirk' or 'polytheism' in his theory. |
3strike:"Dont Mess With Texas" lol |
Empiree doesnt have problems with both sides at all. I grew up with understanding of this subject played out by sino. However, knowledge is broad. I have come to understand that Ism-Allah ta'la is in everything. Believe it or not. Problem with literal interpretation is if human attributes are attributed to Allah...that's very problematic. As for Albaqir theory, I have no problem with it at all. I understand it. I dont think brothers understood his explanation. Even copy of Quran i have since 2000 was printed in king fard complex says "Allah is everywhere" but in parenthesis, (by His knowledge). I understand not putting Allah in His creation. Thats common knowledge actually. There is absolutely no way we can understand Allah's wisdom. The people of dhikr are acquainted with these things. There is a lot to see when we cling on to Allah's names in seclusion for certain amount of days. That is beyond theoretical approach. Everything about Him is NOT confined to text. |

Okay, this is getting stalled. You know when aircraft looses control and spirals around mountain few thousands feet above ground level, then you hear "stall stall...stall stall....stall stall...". If captain has no clue what the heck to do to get the freaking aircraft out of stall, the next thing you hear is BUUUUUUUUUUUUUM. Aircraft slams on mountain and everything gets CRUSHED I see same here right now....."clash of titans". ![]() |

I trust these brothers sino and Albaqir. They would write pages to proof their points . Anyways, make i siddon, eat popcorn while the show last.As for bro Sino, let me say this again that I undertsand point you tried to raise in terms of "mutashabiat". I have no problem with it. However, i simply dont buy the approach used this days when in fact there are evidences to back up certain ayat or hadith. Let me give you example. First all, we need to know what we dealing with on mutashabiat. As I have heard from contemporary scholars of islam that Quran is to be understood with time. This common sense. But what mainstream muslims usually say is if Allah and His messanger have not interpreted an ayah, no one else has the right to do so. This approach is very wrong. Now, here are few examples of what I am talking about. In the hadith, we see quiet lots of statements of rosul(SAW) that are symbolic. But if those statements are to be literally interpreted, muslims would dumpest people on earth...actually are we not?. Here is the hadith (paraphased) that talks about "black gold". It says that people will fight over black gold in akhir zaman. When i was in salafism (sorry to speak) few yrs back and came across the hadith on fb, i asked brothers over and over, they simply have no clue what hadith is talking about. A brother finally came and interpreted the verse to mean "a huge black gold like mountain or mountain of gold" will surface in the Last Age. Hummm, i took a deep breath. It was later i was talking to my hindu friend about politics and we got to the discussion about "black gold". He didnt even blink before he said it is oil. I didnt ask him. He was basically talking. Later i listened to lecture by Sheik Imran who gave details on the subject. And he accused muslims of intepreting "black gold" literally when in fact there is evidence in the world today. So mainstream muslims are still waiting for a huge mountain of gold to surface somehere on earth where everyone will fight over it. This is very ridiculous. My point is when the prophet (SAW) used phrase black gold, that sounds like mutashabiat to me. Does that mean we muslims can not use our intellect as time passes with evidence around us? We also see hadith where rosul(SAW) is reported to have said Dajjal will fly on a donkey with his hair stretch wide. Someone was putting these ahadith up on fb btw 2008-2011 i was there. No reasonable answers by those who called themselves salafi becus they said rosul did not interpret them. They would tell us that Allah knows best. Ofcourse we know that. But there are evidences around us today. These evideces were not there at the time of sahaba. It is therefore impossible for aslaf to know exaclty what rosul was refering to. Today, our brothers are looking for a "flying donkey". Thats just sad. And i say to them, you will be waiting forever. "Flying donkey" is already here and that's modern aircraft. So these are few mutashabiat. Those statements of rosul need tawil by men who are firmly grounded in knowledge(sura Imran). Not by Tom, Dick and Harry. There is no tafsir for them. Go and check. No tafsir for them. Why?...because aslaf could not possibly sensed modern technology. Quran IS TO BE UNDERSTOOD WITH TIME. This not polytheism. There are also bunch of verses of mutashabiat in Sura Khaf like a pious man called khidr(AS) and his narration with Musa(AS). To be fair though, we first all must assume literal interpretation to ayat or hadith since they are word for word until evidence surface to suggest otherwise. It's ony after men of knowledge have explored their intellect (whether they are correct or not) they must say wallahu alam becase their tawil is not binding on anyone unless we are convinced. |
There is evidence from Quran and hadith on this topic. I'm not by my library where I can easily access info at the moment but let me give a clue. Staying single is not remedy. I know it can be frustrating ......a LOT The hadith does says to marry for these qualities: beauty, wealth, background, religion. But it gives religion preference over others. There are things that do not change in Sharia like, for instance, muslima should not marry mushrik or men of people the Book. But what if a Muslim woman meets a 'loving' Christian man?. As far as I know, Sharia and unanimous concensus say that such union is invalid. She may persuade Christian man to be muslim though. This happened to my sister and it worked. That was bcus papa want the man to be muslim before anything. Now the guy don become 'Alfa'. What if a Muslim lady meets muslim man but he's not loving, no affection btw them?. Answer to this is simple. Move on and keep searching. Don't relent. There is evidence for this too in Hadith where a couple married but the woman is not happy with the marriage. Prophet (saw) dissolved the marriage. So the sister should keep trying. There is someone out there for her assigned to her by Allah. Only a matter of time before they meet. |

Fundamentalist:You are a confirmed "literalist". Albaqir handsomely explained it all. If what you belief is creed of salafi on this topic, you guys have huge problem. It means as Albaqir rightly said, your creed resembles christianity. ACARDIP dawah organization also explained as Albaqir just did. Man, I cant belief you would attach or attribute literal meanings to Allah just like that. Very ridiculous. if proper care is not taken, you would belief as a Christian brother who asked on ACARDIP that when Allah says "We sent down the Book (Quran)" ......does that mean God threw Quran down from the sky? |

Lol @ brother abuhubaidah, you didnt admit you were wrong after i provided proof that your allegation was incorrect. You jumped to another one. Dont think i have time for this. Their replies i posted are clear enough. You made allegation that Tijjaniyah value solat fatih over obligatory salat and that's refuted. You basically spread false information and now stylishly deflected. Dont waste my time now. This is derailment. Let the thread move on. Your false allegations refuted. Period This is the video i was going to post few weeks ago. This is Tijaniyah. Watch at 1:6:00 the Sheik talks about importance of obligatory salat...that no matter your level of iman, obligatory is binding. So you lied brother. Just accept and move on instead of sniffing around. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HUukzZsM04w I am not here to defend any group because I am not member of any. I am only concerned about unity of muslims. I criticize some sufi as well on fb, the group like screaming "wahabi/salafi" and I would warn them to focus on their own teachings rather than sniffing around. It's not healthy. But this act is not common with other sects except salafis walaikum salam |
@sino, I understand what you passing to us. I admire it actually. But here is the problem with the verse you quoted as understood by many of us today. "....So as for those in whose hearts there is a deviation (from the truth) they follow that which is not entirely clear thereof, seeking Al-Fitnah (polytheism and trials, etc.), and seeking for its hidden meanings, but none knows its hidden meanings save Allah. And those who are firmly grounded in knowledge say: "We believe in it; the whole of it (clear and unclear Verses) are from our Lord." And none receive admonition except men of understanding. (Tafsir At-Tabari). (Quran 3 vs 7) When Quran was revealed, it was revealed without punctuation marks. There have been debates on this subject overtime. Punctuation marks were invented by human. So the worst FULL STOP ever was placed here: and seeking for its hidden meanings, but none knows its hidden meanings save Allah. And those who are firmly grounded in knowledge say: It should have been 'none knows its hidden meanings except Allah and men who are firmly grounded in knowledge....' Do we think for one second that Nabi Muhammad doesnt know everything in the Quran?. He knows front and back. Wherever Quran portrays the prophet having limited knowledge of things is only meant for out of respect for our human intellect. I do not believe for one second that a man(SAW) sent with this powerful message doesnt know everything with message he was sent. Thats literal understanding. #Justsaying... I know a Sheik once brought this point i raised here. |
HAkorehdeh:Jazakallahu khayran. I understand. Really dont care about individual so called sufis in nigeria. I am only concerned about it essence and remove falsehood some brothers tried to attached to it. I dont call myself sufi. I only understood some of its essence. You know, as the world goes, every good thing will be tainted including so called salafi now. I dont subscribe to any sufi group at all. But i believe in pursuing it knowledge. Yes, Ihsan is how Qur'an and Hadith portray the heart of Islam. The name, Sufi should never have been invented to begin with. The reason I posted this is to clear misconceptions some brother tried to attribute to it. Also many true sufi shuyuk have said time and again that a person cant call himself tijaniya while not maintaining its standard. And ofcourse, Islam is Islam. Simple. It's Shaytan that divided up the whole thing. Sufism is just 'heart' of islam. Yea, I fraternized with Wahhabi/salafi thing for 4 yrs. Damn, had headache a lot and finally chilled out. I recovered from their 3yrs after I left. Was crazy. But, we are all brothers. I dont subscribe the idea of singing "wahabi/salafi" everywhere unless when it's absolutely necessary. Nor do i buy the idea of sufi idea because if I should call myself one, it means i have to defend every single practices by some morons that are not in Shariah. That's why I stayed within pristine. If some brothers here dont understand that i can't help them. Indeed knowledge first has been the very first layer of this great religion. |
Inna lilahi waina ilahi rajiun A brother passed away in NYC last Saturday. He was a nyc cab driver. He's Nigerian. Was told this evening he passed away while driving. As described a by a sister, the brother was driving and saw death (as in sign). He quickly parked his car along roadside and breath his last. NYC police quickly rushed to the scene but he was pronounced dead |
Same question and answer from tijjaniyah was replied today. Goes thus, Salaam Alaikum, I came a cross allegation made by a fellow who supposedly a Muslim made broad allegation against Tijjaniya sect and I quote. Question: "all tijaniyyat do believe that you earn more reward when reciting solatul fatih than observing the obligatory solat" Answer: Wa aleykoum Salam dear brother. Sorry for answering late. Sure, there is no such statement in Jawahiroul Maani. There is nothing greater than Salat. Be careful because errors have been slipped in some editions of Jawahiroul Maani and some people said that it has been done deliberately by detractors. Seyyidina Sheikh Ahmed Tidjani, may ALLAH be pleased with him, said: "IF YOU HEAR ANYTHING ATTRIBUTED TO ME, WEIGH IT ON THE SHARIA'S SCALE, IF IT CONFORMS, ACCEPT IT, OTHERWISE REJECT IT." Feel free to ask any question you have... May ALLAH bless you dear brother. Salam. Source: Conception.Web Tidjaniya Conception.Web Tidjaniya's profile photo conception.web@tidjaniya.com So as you can see, I sent out the question to two(2) different places and got same answer. |

Now, this thread is being sabotaged. It's now about Sunni-Shia rumble. That's old. |
This is a very simple subject. It simply depends on how texts are interpreted. But practical experience helps a lot further. Interpreting sacred text sometimes is like a couple texting one another from different locations and they can easily misunderstood each other. Do you people ever noticed that?. As for opinion of medieval scholars, it's basically their opinion. It's not 100% binding on all muslims. Thats why we see even in their times there were differences. Thats why in most of their fatawa, they usually end with "waAllah Alam". While I believe Allah is above His arsh, that He has Hands etc...these are symbolical or metaphorical. But to believe Allah actually has hands like human is blasphemy. That's literal interpretation...because Allah said there is nothing like Him. On the other hand, the idea that Allah is everywhere (whatever that means to individual muslim) is a lot more reasonable. We know that even if a man hides himself in the darkest spot on earth Allah see him. Meaning His presence (whatever that means) is there. Now, the difference btw Muslims and non-muslims is they would say (for example) Allah is here(object/subject) and that (subject/object) is God in their creed. This is common in Hinduism/Christianity. That's where they got it wrong. But this is not the case of Muslims - regardless of factions. Also, believe it or not, Allah's names are in everything. YES, everything. This is beyond theoretical approach. I gave example above, like people who do dhikr a lot are familiar with this. I dont think i should say much now so that some brothers here dont get confused. |

kennyosein:Same to you brother. All you gotta do is point out what's against Islam in points I raised. You sure don't get it. |
^^^ you brothers mind this fellow? . His understanding and the likes are defective. They reduced Allah and everything about Him to text. Allah is in everything. They don't understand that. Allah's names, ism-llah is in everything. ...living and non living things. Allah's names is in money. ...that's why we spend it. Once His Names are no longer in it. ..it becomes wallpaper. Protestant Islam don't understand that. Also Allah's Names and Attributes Are in our body both human and animals. His names are underneath every single hair on our body. The thing is we are so lazy. If you, kennyosein invokes His Names and Attributes in seclusion for days without going outside and fast at the same time, you will see beyond text that your scholars wrote about Him(SWT). ALLAHU AKBAR. |
Fundamentalist:See, zionists see themselves as the elites of mankind, therefore they become arrogant people. They see rest of mankind ("gentiles" ) as subhuman. This is the same way some muslims behave. They think they are better than others. That they are the elites of Muslims. Your arrogance is not far fetch. Is there anything in the article and the videos, especially second video to suggest that "tassawuf" a.k.a ihsan is not Islam? . Second video perfectly gives clues. You are what a sheik called "protestant Islam". At-tassawuf is btw individual muslim and Allah. Smh for u. |
It is unfortunate that when it comes to other centralized issues pertaining to your creed, your shuyukh and students alike spare no rod to condemn and flog the Malikis, Shafi'is ete ![]() |
Fundamentalist:What's Islam? What's Ihsan?, What's Iman? "I am a sufi as long as tasawwuf means indifference to what is with people and yearning for that which is with God. And I am a sufi only if tasawwuf signifies the unveiling of unseen realities and inspired knowledge of God the Creator". ~ Sheik Adam Shaykh al-Islām Ibn Taymiyyah on Sufis and Taṣawwuf By Shaykh Abu Humayd The following is an excerpt from the passages of Majmu’ al-Fatawa Li-Ibni Taymiyyah (Rahimahullah). The following is to educate people on what is Tasawwuf and Sufism; because many misconception have been floating around lately ‘refuting’ Sufis and Tasawwuf by those (funnily enough) who hold Shaykh Ibn Taymiyyah in very high esteem. Enough mis-information has been passed around the globe trying to taint Tasawwuf but Insha-Allah in the words of a Shaykh al-Islam (according to them) would the tainting of Tasawwuf be repudiated, Insha-Allah. https://ahlalbidah./2014/02/20/shaykh-al-islam-ibn-taymiyyah-on-sufis-and-ta%E1%B9%A3awwuf/ On Ibn Tayyimiyah and Ibn Baz's view's on Sufism https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Od2rwGwwj3E In this video, Ibn Baz is said to be "confused" about Sufism. He refereed to Ibn Tayyimiyah(RT), who gave his fair view on sufis. Now, if your scholars gave unbiased view on sufism, who the heck is fundamentalist, unbridled ignorant to assume "at-tassawuf" (Ihsan) is innovation or a new religion?. Sheik Imran Hussein on Tassawuf https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ie4YV0PTQ50 Fundamentalist, honestly you need to stick your head in between your legs and be quiet. |
