Walaikum Salaam, Yes, it's inappropriate. When you do wudu, ghusl janaba and so fourth, water must touch your body parts NOT artificial hair or nails otherwise your ghusl is void. And if your ghusl is void your salah is null, too. Watch... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fyiP1WGlC8Q This shaikh explained in detail. If not in this part it must be in part 2. You can watch it on youtube. Hope this answer your concern |

Bogus Caliphate. Beware!!! |
I really dont want to be on this site this Ramadan or comment at all. We begin Ramadan on Sunday inshallah. I implore you all to avoid sectarian argument. Avoid posting things that other consider inappropriate or misrepresent their percepectives. This is just for the sake of the Holy month. You may continue your argument afterward. Now, my questions to LagosShia and Baqir, pls watch videos posted by BeTathings, these are Shia (at least these folks or their sect's) creed. Not that I didnt know some of these things but i want to hear your opinion on those videos. Are those Shia Sheiks and Imams correct?. Is everything they said in the videos is what ALL Shias believe or they are just extreme sect saying stupid things on their own?. Are these Shia creed?. Please forget about politics, forget about Sunnis' creed. Let's focus on Quran only. No sentiment. Just answer straight forward using Quran ONLY. Do you brothers (Lagosshia and Baqir) believe in what those people said in the videos including Shahada taken by Shia Imam?. Do you believe the man who said "If Allah dies(Nauzubillah), Ali dies?. These are clear statements. Answer is either Yes or No. Is that your creed or the people are just saying stupid things that dont represent all Shia sects?. Many things they said are not creed of a Muslim base on Quran. Forget about Sunni. Just bring your proofs from Quran (if you share the same creed with these folks) since you claimed you are Muslims. I understad Adhan part. Thats manageable. But they said some things that nullify(kufr) their Islam. You may answer after Ramadan. Thats fine with me. I will wait patiently till then. Thanks |
@ RoypCain, i didnt know u liv in the States. It's freezing indeed. Stay warm |
8 Basic Errors Muslims make when paying Zakat Al-Fitr I feel compelled to put this together because I’ve seen the following errors being committed even since I was a young boy. In sha Allah, you can help me spread the word by sharing this article with your community, friends and family. What is Zakat Al-Fitr? Think “Iftar”, Zakat Al-Fitr is the charity that we pay at the end of Ramadan. Here is the foundational hadith that establishes the obligation of Zakat Al-Fitr:
Ibn `Umar reported that the Prophet (sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam) , made Zakat al-Fitr compulsory on

every slave, freeman, male, female, young and old among the Muslims; one Saa` (a measurement: four double handfuls) of dried dates or one Saa` of barely. [Sahih Bukhari - Arabic/English, vol. 2, p. 339, no. 579]
But unfortunately, our community makes some basic errors in the payment of Zakat Al-Fitr that must be clarified.
Error One: Paying at Eid Salah
Some people go to Eid prayers and drop money into the donation box thinking that they have paid their Zakat Al-Fitr. No, Zakat al-Fitr, which is food, must be in the hands of the needy family BEFORE Eid prayer. If someone goes to Eid prayer and pays then it is GUARANTEED that the money will NOT arrive on time. And thus the person paying is sinful for having missed the payment of Zakat al-Fitr. May Allah forgive us.
Error Two: Snail mailing the money overseas Basic principle as before
The Zakat al-Fitr, food, MUST be in the hands of the needy BEFORE Eid prayer. One cannot mail the money overseas and have it arrive in the hands of the needy after Eid prayer is over. However, if one is able to get the Zakah al-Fitr to the needy overseas BEFORE Eid prayer is conducted in their locality, then in sha Allah it’s alright. Error Three: Not paying Yes, as simple as this error is, it is HARAM to skip the payment of Zakat Al-Fitr. EVERYONE must pay Zakat Al-Fitr, every member of the household. So if you have 8 people in your house, Zakat Al-Fitr must be paid x 8, even if the youngest member is just a few days old.
Error Four: Confusing Zakat Al-Fitr with Zakat ul-Maal
We are talking about Zakat al-Fitr here (think “Iftar”, i.e. Ramadan). Zakat Al-Maal (Maal literally means wealth), is the Zakah due on ones money – and that could be due any time during the year depending on when it was due.
Error Five: Giving money instead of food
Although some scholars have allowed giving money instead of food, the spirit of Zakat Al-Fitr is to give food to the needy of the community, NOT money. (One can give money to the local masjid in charge and they can give food with that money inshallah). The Companion of the Prophet, Abu Sa`eed al-Khudree, radi Allahu ‘anhu , said, “In the Prophet’s time, we used to give it (Zakatal-Fitr) as a sa` of food, dried dates, barley, raisins or dried cheese”. [Bukhari - Arabic/English vol. 2, p. 340, no. 582]
Error Six: Giving one’s Zakah al-Fitr to a charitable building project
Some people mistakenly give their Zakah Al-Fitr to a charitable building project: like the building of a Masjid, or Islamic school. There is a difference of opinion on this issue, but suffice it to say that the spirit of Zakah Al-Fitr is that the needy should have plentiful food on Eid. All eight types of recipients of Zakah mentioned in the Quran are HUMANS, not “building projects”.
Error Seven: Giving Zakat Al-Fitr to non-Muslims
Charity is given to both Non-Muslims and Muslims. However, Zakah al-Fitr charity is something exclusive to the MUSLIM poor and needy. Hence, one could not give Zakah Al-Fitr to any needy person on the street. “Regular” charity can be given to them, but not Zakah Al-Fitr.
Error Eight: Delaying distribution
Sometimes Masjids might collect Zakah Al-Fitr money and then put it in a bank. It doesn’t reach the needy for months and months. The correct method is to give Zakah Al-Fitr immediately when it is due. These are my eight. You are welcome to share other common errors on comment section . Insha’Allah, if you have Zakah questions, I encourage you to seek counsel from your local sources of knowledge. People you can speak to directly. With best wishes to see you succeed at the highest level! And Allah knows Best! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xOjkGAsF1QA Take it easy though. I do like the way you worded your post without throwing insultive statments. You see awareness is foremost, understanding is next and practising is last. You can help at your local masajid as well by giving them ORO ISITI(sh). We getting there broda ....we are getting there. As for those Muslims that are warned about celebrating non-Muslim festivals but cling on to it, your position should be "we hear and we obey" rather than arguing. It's not our fault that we involved in many non islamic activities. Colonisation played huge part, It's all gonna be alright with patient. |
Ok. thanks. Now another questions. I am a little jealous here. Looking at K1 mansions at Ijebu, I believe you have seen it. if not, am sure you can search for it. Looking at his roofing sheets, what brand did he use please?. I really like that one. It is so elegant altogether with parapet. Can you tell the brand, cost per sheet or bundle etc?. Also Asbestos sheets and Aluminum, are they still on market. Can you do a little breakdown on them regarding how they are sold and their prices?. Thanks |
[quote author=batlanroofs]@beeman8, hello sir .. to roof 3 bedroom flat ,you will require 250 square metres. it will cost roughly 670,000 naira Is your estimate for Bond Tiles, Shingle Tiles, Roman Tiles?. If so, by your estimate, does that mean roofing 6 bedrooms house (3 bedrooms in front. 3 bedrooms in the back) in one building will cost #1.3 at least rough estimate? |
@ Op, what's the name, type and cost per sq ft of roofing sheet used on this building? |

@OP, u beta not waste ur taim ova dis. Dia are lots of lambs in the world today. Anyways, I know well abaot southern CA informant guy. His real name is Craig Monteilh. He went by fake name given to him by Agent. He called himself "Farouk Aziz" (he pretend to be muslim convert). to entrap Muslims. So don't waste taim advising non-muslim folks...Christians especially. Dis is no secret. Craig Monteilh himself confessed after he was busted by Muslims. He turned around and sued agency that sent him for the expedition. All these are available online. Let folks go & read. Naija christians prefer to be brainwashed bai Oyinbo masters dan listen to their fellows. Shun dem OP. I hav long shunned dem. U kan tel dem ti ti dola, dey no go listen to ya. Agent even told Craig Monteilh to sleep with muslim women in order to gather intelligence. Ka fi senu ka dake ni. Ki olohun gba wa lowo eyan bi esu. |

simpleseyi: Arabs and Igbos also share the same names e.g. Shukura (Arabic name) and Chukwura (Igbo name)I'd prefer spelling like this sukura (in Yoruba accent with 'sh' sound. i:e a dot below s). In arabic it is pronunced shukran which means "Thank You" So Sukura and shukran in both yoruba and arabic mean the same thing. Did you ever listened to Ayinde Barrister " Sukura lilahi modupe" So the meaning here is MODUPE which means the same thing with arabic term shukran. Arabic alphabet "Shin" with 3 dots on top of "sin". Just like yoruba "shi" i:e s with a dot on the bottom and "s" standalone. You got it? Igbo people have to tell us what Chukwura means. Maybe it is same meaning. Let's see if Igbo can help us |

If she'd reverted to Islam while her father was alive, he would have chop am for changing religion:-) You're welcome girl. Watch out for next episode of REVERTS. Coming up: " former Prez GWB accepts Islam after visiting Jerusalem" |
dyfatai: i be ijebu boy no doubt, and ive attended my fair share of ojude obas. Now d@ im learning more about islam, i think it is unjust 2 associate dis celebration 2 Islam, dey can go ahead nd exhibit dia culture, but dey shld detach it completely 4rm Islam. It is purely an Innovation. May Allah assist us. Peacevedaxcool only copied pasted this article. Hes not the author. Ojude Oba is never an Islamic festival. According to article I read probably Wikipedia, says that they (community leaders) fixed Ojude Oba on the 3rd day of ileya because they believe that lots of people come home for Eld. Ojude Oba is basically indigenous festival of all indigenes in the town regardless of religions. But its unfortunate that Islam, despite recognizing cultural practices, it forbids Muslims from participating in all types of festivals or cultural practices that go against it. I am happy that many Muslims are now waking up. I am not against Ojude Oba by the way. Unfortunately it has been incorporated with Islam. A practicing Muslim knows it has no root therein. Ojude Oba is cool though. (Modify) (Quote) (Report) |

Ewe soo RoyPCain, bon ti ri?. I totally agree with points you raised. Am not against Ojude Oba except for points you raised. I barely attended it back in the days anyways cus am indoor type. I hope with time, they will change. I really doubt Awujale would change with respect to bowing etc. If you challenge that, they may tell you its a form of respect. He is on the throne now for over 50yrs. So that protocol may never change in his rein. |
No, the quote is from the Quran not Bible. I wont be surprised if it's in the Bible bcus at some point, Muslims believe that a Book was given to Jesus called Injil or Injeel; edited version of injil (Injeel) today in Bible. So it doesn't surprise me if you have similar incident in yours.. Anyways, I have answered you satisfactorily. So the question you keep asking in bold needs to be directed to your fellow Christians. Let them answer it. NOT Muslim. Have a good day |
