hensben: how? What is wrong there? Can't you see how igbos on here see part of delta, edos, itsekiri as yoruba if for example ss n se form a nation today wouldn't they use same tribalism for the non- igbos in ss huh and then another wahala go start. Igbos and descrimination are synonymous...na only una good, other tribes nor good. Ok sir, no need for hate speech, it disgusts me. |

shinebabe: Lagos was MADE the capital of the whole nation, a title I had long lost to abuja. Also for your info, not the while of Lagos was FCT.
I think the federal part started from fadeyi along ikorodu road , through Yaba to the island. Anything before Fadeyi was the property of the Western Regional Government. Even lekki are was never under the Federal Capital Territory then... Just maybe oo, am not vast in that. My only point is that Ibadan was/is the Capital of the SW. Right? |

hensben: If nigeria should divide I will rather Edo, Akwa ibom, delta, cross river and the Yoruba group form one nation while Igbos, bayelsa and ph form one nation. So, the Akwa Ibom Ibibios who are relatively cousins with the Igbos will leave their brothers and run to you? The Efiks and the Liyel Imoke people of the Ogoja axis that speaks Igbo and are inseperble from the Afikpo people of Ebonyi will abandon their kith and kin and run to the Yorubas? I am not a tribalistic person but i wont stay idle watching people like you make mistakes of words. Wake up and stop dreaming! |

Dude, that was not official na. If u av to vote now, which will u pick between Lag and IB? Am only talking from history oo. Am not in the position to chose. I only said what i read and learnt. The Western Premiers capital was Ibadan, Eastern was Enugu and Northern was Kaduna. Lagos was the capital of the whole nation. |

crixlight2: KUDOS TO MEN. N MALE GENDER: [ the 1st time , someone has written something good for men also..... !!
========
Ⓜ Who is a MAN
A man is the most beautiful part of God's creation.
He sacrifices his chocolates for his sister.
He sacrifices his dreams for just a smile on his parents' face.
He spends his entire pocket money on buyng gifts for the lady he loves just to see her smiling
He sacrifices his full youth for his wife & children by working late at night without any complaint.
He builds their future by taking loans from banks & repaying them for lifetime.
He struggles a lot & still has to bear scolding from his mother, wife & boss.
His life finally ends up only by compromising for others' happiness.
If he goes out, then he's careless
If he stays at home, then he's a lazy
If he scolds children, then he's a monster
If he doesn't scold, then he's a irresponsible guy
If he stops wife from working, then he's an insecure guy
If he doesn't stops wife from working, then he's somebody who lives on wife's earnings
If he listens to mom, then he's mama's boy
If he listens to wife, he's wife's slave
Respect every male in your life. U will never know what he has sacrificed 4U. Ladies what do you think Lol, where did you get that piece? Its been in my nairaland diary since last years fathers day. |

Foreigners Amy think it is in Lagos and we won't like to associate our dear capital of SW with such shame.
Thanks for your consideration. The official capital of the SouthWest was/is Ibadan. What then do you mean by 'our dear capital of SW'? Well, dont bash me, i am only being curious cos i know Lagos was always the Nigerian Capital and Ibadan the SW capital. Tell me if am wrong |

saintandsinnerz: This is a first! I'm from Faculty of management but I've personal friends from Art, social sciences and Engineering and the story is the same. We all started I'm 2011 but none of us has graduated. The only person that started with us that has graduated was from philosophy dept. He finished I'm record time! So generally PG programme in unizik is not organized and not fast save for the Architecture u just mentioned No, i av friends in Physical Sciences, Biological sciences who started with me and they have their project topics already. Preparing for their thesis presentation and defence this year too. So you cant generalise it. |
Education › Re: Nigerian Universities With The Fastest Masters Degree Programmes by Emyben(m): 5:53pm On Apr 23, 2015 |
saintandsinnerz: Please let us stop misleading people with wrong information. Unizik is not a good place for PG programme. If some of us listened to people we wouldn't be doing an M.Sc. (that suppose to last for 18months) for almost 48 months! 2011 till date. And don't even think that it is our fault or maybe because we are dull students, it is the same problem across board. Though I know you are using their undergraduate programme to judge their PG programme, thinking that they will be the same in terms of rapid academic programme! I'm talking from a real bitter personal experience! No one is misleading anybody bro. Ur department needs to sort out its problem and then catch up with others. Like i said earlier, it takes one barely 16 or 17 months to bag his Masters in my department. |

saintandsinnerz: Bro don't mind that guy, he doesn't know what he is saying. Maybe he thinks that their undergraduate programme is like their PG programme. That was what most of us thought when we started in 2011 and till date we are still wasting our lives there. I repeat Unizik has the worst PG programme in Nigeria. Very substandard and disorganized. Doing my M.Sc. there is the worst mistake I've made in my life. Am also doing my masters and my defence is coming up in July. I started February 2014. That is 17 months. Your department must be sooo backward. Dont say what you dont know. |

Radoillo: For real?
Three of my friends who started their MSc programme in UNIZIK in 2012 are still on it today. One of them told me just last week that he has finally decided to abandon the programme. He should tell you his secret reason. You cant defend ya project/thesis if you don't pass all your courses. He prolly has an outstanding course that's preventing him from his thesis defence. |

Haba... Why is UNIZIK always underrated? In 18 months or less, you are through with your Masters. And mind you... In almost 18 years, i think Unizik have participated in ASUU strike just once. Why do you think, Unizik and Unilag has the highest number of applicants each year in both their Bachelor and Masters programme? |
Politics › Re: Jonathan won’t contest in 2019 – Babatope by Emyben(m): 10:20am On Apr 23, 2015 |
If what Babatope says is really true, then am sorry for PDP. It will only present a chance for the APC to sweep the South East in a landslide. Why? Because i see APC making a promise of the presidency go the SE after Pres. Buhari which devoid of sentiments is the actual thing to be done.
So why wait for 8 yrs(in the eventuality of the Hausa PDP man winning) when you can just wait for 4 years(If Pres Buhari wins).
Common sense will tell, they better stop dreaming of a Solid presence in the South East. Just like the NC dumped them in 2015, the South East can dump them in 2019. You never can tell. |

SIRTee15: nope, but I picked it because IMR is a strong health indicator used in measuring basic healthcare services in a nation. u guys cannot lag behind in that n be boasting of best HDI. Lagging behind in infant mortality doesnt make SE health indices poor... SE still leads high in other health assesments made, check it out. |
Politics › Re: South-East, South-West, South-South Lead In Attainment Of MDG Goals by Emyben(m): 10:15pm On Apr 18, 2015 |
SIRTee15: sw top in improved infant n child mortality indices as well as basic water sanitation. south east even trail behind NW in infant mortality which is very shocking. while SE led in overall education, it struggled in childhood health assesment. I guess your likes only read the first 4 indices n started basking in pseudo euphoria. go back and read the report properly. I cant argue with you, go up and read it up again, trailing behind in infant mortality makes u conclude that they struggled in childhood assesment? Is infant mortality the only childhood and pregnant women health assesment made? |
