Business / Re: International Remittances To Nigeria By State/Household - Statisense by EndsarsReloaded: 9:44am On Dec 17, 2022 |
tolue42: When people are extremely ethnocentric, common sense tend to take flight. First question, did you see Anambra in that list? No! Yet how many states in Nigeria travel more than them? Is there any state in Nigeria that do business more than them? Also, is there any region that is more business inclined than SE? I have a sister and a brother in the United States but they have NEVER sent dollars to Nigeria, not even once! Only my aunt in US who traveled many years ago do send dollars using SendWave. My sister and brother both maintain their Nigerian bank accounts which they use to send naira. She supplies all manner of consumer goods like cloths, shoes, food stuff, electronics etc to Nigeria and they sell and remit the money to her local bank account. Likewise, my brother supplies vehicle engines and other used/knocked down car parts to Ladipo. Everyone knows that Yorubas are never as business inclined as Igbos and that's a fact! So, I just gave you an example using my siblings. That list is based on remmittances that entered Nigeria through trackable channels and it's mostly going to Yahoo scammers. Look at that list again and you will understand why states like Edo, Imo, Oyo, Delta and Ekiti topped it. These states have the highest number of Yahoo boys per square killometer! Did you watch the video that went viral last week where a huge Igbo Anglican Cathedral in New Jersey protested against a White gay Bishop? Are you aware you must have the numbers before you can even think of building your own native church in a far away land? Only an ignorant mind will believe that Yorubas travel more than Igbos. |
Politics / Why Is Tinubu & His Urchins Angry Over Terrorist Ekpa's Arrest? by EndsarsReloaded: 3:38am On Dec 17, 2022 |
As news is filtering in that the Finland based terrorist has been arrested by Interpol, most of Tinubu's supporters seem to be so unhappy over it. So, I ask why, shouldn't every single Nigerian be happy over the news? 8 Likes |

Tsolutionjoseph: Lol, my prayer is that Good will keep us all alive to withness this election. So, you believe that Atiku will be able to get 25% in any South East state talk more of winning? Even most PDP card carrying members except those that are contesting, are voting for Peter Obi. Come to think of it, what do you think can make any Igbo man vote for Atiku when Obi is on the ballot and has chance of winning? Even after the humiliations Igbo politicians supporting Atiku suffered in the hands of Igbos, you still think we the masses will vote him? Or are you banking on rigging? SMH. 2 Likes |

mach7: Lol, this is nothing but a very useless analysis done for cheap propaganda. Peter Obi will win all SE and SS states, in addition to Benue, Plateau, FCT, Taraba and possibly Nasarawa. The fact they argued that Atiku will win Rivers shows how disconnected they're with reality. Atiku that won't even get 25% in Rivers is who they're saying will win the state. They also gave Abuja to Atiku, really? February is not far again and lessons will surely be learnt the hard way!!!!! 1 Like |

Elemosho478: Aregbesola did not do up to 10% of what Umahi did in Ebonyi state and that's a fact. I know Aregbe built secondary and primary schools and some roads while plunging Osun State into severe debt trap. However, you can never compare him with Umahi that built close to 20 flyovers, university, malls, stadium, airport, roads, government house etc. yet he didn't plung the state into debt! 2 Likes |

Politics / Re: Let's Evaluate: Between SS, SW & SE, Which Region's Governor Performed Better by EndsarsReloaded: 8:54am On Dec 16, 2022 |
I repeat, the issue is basically due to cultural and ideological differences. Igbos keep their governors on their toes while Yorubas accept whatever their governors are doing. Another example suffix here: Ota, Ogun state has far worse roads than Aba, Abia state yet the whole of Nigeria knows about the Aba situation while that of Ota is never spoken about. The result: the governor of Abia state was put under severe pressure to fix Aba roads and today, there roads are relatively okay but same can't be said of Ota. 3 Likes |

Ttalk: In as much as I don't like getting involved in such dick measuring threads, I still couldn't overlook your unreasonable post. Firstly, you're equating quoted budget figures as yardstick for measuring development, are you for real? Do you know how dumb that sounds? Now let me show you, Ayade of Cross River State once budgeted over 1 trillion naira as annual budget! Quick questions: Did Ayade ever realize that crazy amount? Where are the projects he executed in Cross River? Yet he didn't even achieve up 5% of what Umahi with 200 billion naira budget did! What about Delta and Bayelsa, each of them always budget humongous amounts annually, so can you list the projects they executed with such amounts? You think it's about budget? No! It's about prudence, planning, priority, being less corrupt etc. Have you seen the airports built by Ekiti and Ogun despite the so-called huge budgets? Can you compare them in anyway to the ones built by Anambra and Ebonyi? Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia state has been harrased and thoroughly humiliated by Igbos over "poor performance" yet I can bet you he did much better than most SW governors. You can pick Osun or Ekiti and less compare with Abia if you want to argue! I think the issue is both cultural and ideological. Igbos don't mind disgracing their governors openly if they believe he is not performing well. They will constantly benchmark their governors against the best governors elsewhere. But unlike the SW, they will rather suffer in silence than allow others know about their sorry situation. Again, culturally, while Igbos won't hesitate to confront their leaders for not performing optimally, Yorubas would rather 'dobale' for their own leaders even when they are performing terribly. A case in point is the scandalous amount the new governor of Osun State is accusing his predecessor for mismanaging. Up till now, there is no outrage among Yorubas. However, had it been this happened in SE, by now, everyone will be calling out the past governor for being a rogue and why EFCC should arrest him ASAP. Even your argument is based on tribal bigotry. So, if you want to be factual, I double dare you to name a single SW governor since 1999 who achieved up to what Umahi did in Ebonyi. I'm waiting!!! 2 Likes |
